MFS - The Other News

                         Afternoon Posting.

  • American Rancher X – Part 1.I remember using the Jeep Cherokee’s door for cover, moving fast, hunched over, running zig-zag from tree to boulder to tree for cover, instinctively, as if I was still in the sniper hell of Ramadi. This was the very first time I had dismounted on a recon mission near the border in southern Arizona. Given that we were scouting an extremely rough, remote dirt road that we had been told was only used at night by Mexican cash mules heading south to Mexico, and given that it was surrounded by perfect hilltop sniper hides, this made sense. As disorienting as it was to be doing this mere miles form my home, it just made sense.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Party Time at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Here's a little follow-up on the revelation that poverty is increasing at a record rate under Obama. Break out the $100/serving wagyu steak — it's party time in the District of Criminals.Hopefully the Obamas get some rest Thursday or Friday, because they will be back in formalwear on Saturday night for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's (CBCF) annual Phoenix Awards dinner. Speakers at the latter will include the communist klaxon Harry Belafonte, who hates America intensely and will tell you so at 110 decibels. As for all the people Obama et al.'s reckless spending and business-hostile policies are throwing out of work: let them eat debt.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Penn Valley dean’s throat slashed minutes before governor’s talk.Jackson County prosecutors today charged a student wearing a bullet-resistant vest with slashing the throat of a dean at the Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley just 20 minutes before Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon was scheduled to speak there.Prosecutors charged Casey Brezik, of Raytown, with two counts of first-degree assault and two counts or armed criminal action. Kansas City police were investigating whether the attack was originally intended for Nixon because of the bullet-resistant vest and Brezik’s political views, including recent rants on his Facebook page.Last week, Brezik posted a story about a small Florida church whose members planned to burn copies of the Quran. Then on Monday, Brezik wrote: “This is now a Holy war. Scriptures have been desecrated. War U can’t handle. Make a choice and quick.Hmmm what are the chances that he might be a Muslim?Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • HT:AmericanThinker. We Are The Ones Who'll Show You The Door. The citizen resistance to Obama's progressive agenda that quickened in the summer of 2009 will soon intersect with an electoral coda. On November 2, Democrats featured in the political ballet we've endured during the last two years will face the voters. Many of us are persuaded that Barack Obama carries a biased respect for America that runs short of love for country. We don't expect our elected leaders to display a greater patriotism than those they serve. But neither will we long abide leaders who display less. We notice these things. The collective jury has reached a decision on the current Congressional Democrats. If their losses are great enough come November, that same jury will immediately begin deliberating on the victorious Republicans. For now, though, the message for many Democrats in Congress is this.We are the ones who'll show you the door.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

I've wondered about this for awhile.Cordoba House changed its name to Park 51 which is odd since the address of the location is 45 47 Park Place.Look to the Koran-the book of islamic conquest.Qur'an CHAPTER 51, Verses 45-47 explains all.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • French senate to vote today on burqa ban.The French senate is expected to vote Tuesday on a law banning any veils that cover the face -- including the burqa, the full-body covering worn by some Muslim women. The legislation was overwhelmingly approved by the lower house of parliament in July.French people back the ban by a margin of more than four to one, the Pew Global Attitudes Project found in a survey this spring. Some 82 percent of people polled approved of a ban, while 17 percent disapproved. That was the widest support the Washington-based think tank found in any of the five countries it surveyed.Clear majorities also backed burqa bans in Germany, Britain and Spain, while two out of three Americans opposed it, the survey found.Read the full story here.Updated :French Senate passes ban on full Muslim veils. The French Senate on Tuesday overwhelmingly passed a bill banning the burqa-style Islamic veil in public, but the leaders of both parliamentary houses said they had asked a special council to first ensure the measure passes constitutional muster amid concerns its tramples on religious freedoms. The Senate voted 246 to 1 Tuesday in favor of the bill, which has already passed in the lower chamber, the National Assembly. • Islam, Islamism, and Moderation. The distinction frequently drawn between Islam, which is said to be moderate and peaceable, and Islamism, which is understood as a perversion of the cardinal tenets of the faith, seems both academic and unhelpful. Dutch politician Geert Wilders has claimed that no distinction exists “between good Islam and bad Islam. There is Islam and that’s it.” Might he be right?Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Muslims Attack Hindus in India: A Warning For the West? Part I.A European colleague of mine lives and works in India. Recently, he came to visit. His story was unbelievable. For the last few years, every day, day after day, he, his wife, and his wife’s family have been harassed and attacked by Muslim marauders. Both his property and his medical clinic have been attacked; his Hindu wife and relatives have had their cows stolen and slaughtered, their outbuildings destroyed, their farm property taken over. The police would not help. He had to hire private security to guard his free clinic. Finally, Muslims attacked the clinic when it was filled with patients (including, of course, Muslim patients). At the last moment, before the clinic was entirely overrun, the police reluctantly came to his aid. He had to pay many bribes, pull many strings—and still, the matter is far from over.He did not want me to write about this. “It is simply too dangerous for a Hindu to describe, accurately, what Muslims are doing to us in our own country.” He assured me that neither the government nor the media could be counted on to “do the right thing here. The media will not say that Muslims are criminally aggressive. They are too afraid to say so. They know there will be rioting. It’s already happened.”But it is not that the politicians and the government agencies are asleep, it is the middle class Bengalis that are in deep slumber. The entire Hindu Bengali intelligentsia and culturally enriched Bengali society could not provide protection to one Muslim lady, Ms. Taslima Nasreen, a poet and an intellectual who dared to raise her voice against Islamic fundamentalism in Bangladesh and had to escape to West Bengal. But the West Bengal government was so afraid, that it refused to give protection to her.Islam a religion of peace?Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Historic Cyrus Cylinder Called 'A Stranger In Its Own Home'.Iran’s President Mahmud Ahmadinejad on Sunday attended the unveiling in Tehran of the Cyrus Cylinder, which is on loan from the British Museum. The cylinder dates from the 6th Century BC and is thought by many to be the first charter of human rights. It will be on public display for four months. The unveiling took place at a ceremony at Iran’s National Museum that was turned into a platform for Ahmadinejad and his controversial chief of staff Esfandiari Rahim Mashaei to promote their brand of religious nationalism. Two men, one dressed as an Achaemenid soldier and the other as a member of the Basij, were also honored by Ahmadinejad with keffiyehs, described by official news agencies as “the symbol of the resistance and honor of the Iranian people. The move was criticized by some Iranians, who said it was ‘insulting," "humiliating,” and “painful" to watch.Blogger Enteghad (Criticism) questioned the move. "Why is Cyrus the Great, the symbol of Iran, being decorated with the symbol of another country -- Palestine?" asked the blogger.Another blogger, Andishe, was also angered by the “insulting and unwise” move, saying, “How can one mix two very different symbols that go against each other? Keffiyeh is the symbol of bloodshed, war, and terrorism in Palestine and Lebanon. Keffiyeh is the symbol of the Palestinians. Look at what Cyrus the Great and the Iranian civilization have to say and look at what Ahmadinejad and Velayar Faghih (the rule of the Supreme Jurist) have to say.”Others were outraged that Ahmadinejad, internationally criticized for human rights abuses in Iran, praised the cylinder as the embodiment of human values.."Hmmm somehow i don't think the cilinder will be heading towards Brittain in future.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Justice Stephen Breyer: Is Burning Koran 'Shouting Fire In A Crowded Theater?'.Last week we saw a Florida Pastor – with 30 members in his church – threaten to burn Korans which lead to riots and killings in Afghanistan. We also saw Democrats and Republicans alike assume that Pastor Jones had a Constitutional right to burn those Korans. But Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer told me on "GMA" that he's not prepared to conclude that -- in the internet age -- the First Amendment condones Koran burning. Last week President Obama told me that Pastor Jones could be cited for public burning – but that was “the extent of the laws that we have available to us.” Rep. John Boehner said on "GMA" that “just because you have a right to do something in America does not mean it is the right thing to do.”For Breyer, that right is not a foregone conclusion.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Is Dr. Faiz Khan the New Reverend Wright? There appears to be much to learn about Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s recently revealed close associate Dr. Faiz Khan. Rauf’s partner in the American Society for the Advancement of Muslims, Dr. Khan could possibly be the Imam’s version of Rev. Wright. While exploring the Muslim Jewish Alliance for 911 Truth website, that Khan operates with co-founder Kevin Barrett, there were many interesting and disturbing links to be found.Sadly, despite the peaceful claims, this page links on to the related site, Planetization.org, where peace and love suddenly turn into an unbelievable assortment of anti-semitic, anti-Zionist rants.Khan’s co-founder, Kevin Barrett, is an interesting guy in his own right. He composed a letter to Obama (cc: Mayor Bloomberg) way back in early August, suggesting that the mosque must be built to atone for the 9/11 inside job.Did i not mention this yesterday here on a posting?'Maybe this is what they are planning to broadcast in 50 years from the ground zero mosque? That the US deliberately blew up the twin towers in order to blame Islam? This was on his own blog site, TruthJihad. So what excuse should we be anticipating? Do you think the Imam sat in a pew for twenty years and didn’t hear any of this?America is hearing it loud and clear.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

The message is that Islam is the best religion, and that there would be no other prophet after the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” said the president. He said there is a lot of double standards in the West. “Your security cannot be guaranteed by fighting Islam. We Muslims will defend our religion with our blood, and we will never be intimidated,” said Jammeh.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Iran sees big IAEA mistake over barred inspectors.Iran's nuclear energy chief hit out at the head of the U.N. atomic watchdog on Tuesday, suggesting he had made a "big mistake" by criticizing Tehran's barring of some nuclear inspectors.Amano's latest report on Iran showed it was pushing ahead with its nuclear work in defiance of tougher sanctions, and voiced growing frustration over what the IAEA sees as Iran's failure to address concerns about possible military dimensions to its activities.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • HT:AmericanThinker.November is Just the Beginning. It's beginning to look like the Republicans win both Houses of Congress this fall. But a Republican Congress won't be enough repeal the disaster of ObamaCare. President Obama will be able to veto any repeal effort at least through 2012. And even with a Republican president in 2013, Democrats may still be able to filibuster a repeal bill. So what's the point? The point is that from now until its actual repeal, in three years or thirty, ObamaCare is going to be an issue that cuts against the Democrats.I do not think our rulers understand how badly they have failed. I do not think they understand yet the rage their arrogance has provoked. But they will, and November is only the beginning.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Are the record amounts of threats against President Obama racially or politically motivated?According to Ronald Kessler, author of the book, In The President’s Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect, President Obama faces at least 30 death threats a day, which is a 400 percent increase compared to President Bush’s tenure in office. All threats are investigated by the Secret Service.Making threats against the President is a federal crime.Lets see....30x365 =10.950 cases ,this is bound to create jobs at the FBI.This must be part of the job stimulus i guess?Read the full story here.Click here for comments.

  • Microsoft’s Response to Russian Scandal.Clever and nimble aren’t the first words you think of in connection with Microsoft, but the company’s decision to grant blanket IP licenses to targeted Russian human rights groups strikes me as both. It took less than 24 hours, and it doesn’t mumble about reducing its cooperation with the authorities — it takes the Microsoft weapon out of authorities’ hands.Read the full story here.Click here for comments.
