• HT"WND.Obama to face Shariah court?Cleric says president 'must embrace Islam' or be tried when Muslims take over U.S.President Obama must embrace Islam as a way of life or face the consequences of a trial under the Shariah Islamic court system, declared British extremist cleric Anjem Choudary. Choudary, founder and former chief of two Islamic groups disbanded by the British authorities under anti-terror legislation, is planning a Washington protest later this week in which he says he will call on American Muslims to revolt against the country and implement Shariah law. Speaking in an interview with investigative reporter Aaron Klein on his program on New York's WABC Radio, Choudary claimed Obama was waging a war against Islam. "[Obama] has promised all Muslims to be released from Guantanamo Bay. They are still languishing there even though he knows they are completely innocent," Choudary claimed. "On top of that, he's increased the number of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, so he is a warmonger just as his predecessor was. And thirdly and more importantly," Choudary said, "the Muslims don't want democracy and freedom. Democracy and freedom are anathema to Islam and the Shariah." Choudary said that at his protest, scheduled to take place Thursday in front of the White House, he will call on Obama and all Americans to "embrace Islam, not only as a religion but as a way of life." Choudary continued: "And at the same time, we will be issuing a warning that the presence of U.S. forces and U.S. personnel in Muslim countries, looking out for their interests, at the moment is very, very insecure. I think the Muslims are boiling angry around the world. This is something [Americans] should take very seriously." Choudary turned his ire back to Obama, claiming the president was committing "crimes" against Muslims in Iraq and in Afghanistan. He warned Obama: "I do believe that the only way for him to save himself in this life and in the hereafter is to embrace Islam. Islam will eradicate all his sins; he will be like the day his mother gave birth to him. Otherwise, when we do implement the Shariah, obviously he will face the consequences of a trial under the Shariah court." Choudary has publicly stated he believes the flag of Islam will fly over White House. He repeated that contention in his interview with Klein today. "I do believe that as a Muslim every part of the world will be governed by the Shariah," he said. This time the revelation is that US Embassy in Paris is community-organizing the French umma. The cable, signed by US Ambassador Rivkin, is breathtaking in relating its invasive and patronizing plan -- a Minority Engagement Strategy for France, which, last time I checked, was still a functioning Western democratic republic.Not good enough. Apparently, the United States must, and I quote, "help France realize its own egalitarian goals." Oh, and guess what measures of success include? "Growth in the number of constructive efforts by minority leaders to organize political support both within and beyond their own minority communities," and a "decrease in popular support for xenophobic political parties and platforms." In other words, US policy is to become actively engaged in both community-organizing the Muslim minority in France and running the anti-Islamization parties out of town.If I were France, I'd send this US ambassador packing toute de suite.Hmmmm....... As today’s Wall Street Journal notes, “The White House has apparently decided that it won’t enforce the unpopular parts of its health-care plan until after the 2012 election. The latest evidence is its decision not to slash Medicare Advantage, the program that Democrats hate because it lets seniors choose private insurance options.”And this week’s decision regarding DOMA is not a new departure from allegiance to the law. As George Will wrote in 2009, “The Obama administration is bold. It also is careless regarding constitutional values and is acquiring a tincture of lawlessness.”The President of the United States takes an oath when he assumes office, assuring us that he will “defend the Constitution of the United States.” That Constitution makes Congress the legislative body, not the Executive branch. Thus, when Congress passes legislation that is signed into law by the President, it becomes incumbent upon the President — as the chief constitutional law enforcement office in the nation — to defend it.When this or any President refuses to defend any given law, he is placing himself above it. How, in principle, this distinguishes the United States from any tin-pot autocracy, where law is made by the fiat choices of an unaccountable dictator, escapes me. For that matter, why bother with having legislative (Congress) or judicial (the Supreme and other federal courts) branches if the President can simply choose to ignore defending laws he dislikes?The rule of law is essential to the future of representative self-government in the United States. The future of marriage hinges, in large measure, on DOMA. President Obama has succeeded in undermining both this week.Hmmmmm....... He doesn’t have one.”Former UN Ambassador John Bolton calls out the Obama administration for their lack of focus and clarity when it comes to foreign policy and their egregious incompetence when it comes to the Middle East.They wobbled on Egypt and Libya, they still don’t have a military contingent around the area to help American citizens and interests in the area if need be, ships were delayed in taking our citizens out of these countries, and the public responses left people scratching their heads.As Bolton explains, the administration is so afraid of offending people.If you’re pressed for time, the second video is where Bolton lays it out on what the policy is for this administration when it comes to foreign strife: nothing.“I don’t understand Obama’s foreign policy. • HT:LegalInsurrection.Wisconsin Police Union Members Threaten Insurrection.There's a reason this blog is called Legal Insurrection. An insurrection by definition is illegal, but that is exactly what some police union members in Wisconsin have threatened in support of fellow public sector unions.The video below show a policeman (presumably off-duty but wearing what looks like a police-issue sweater with insignia) who addressed the crowd of protesters inside the Wisconsin Capitol building on February 24, and threatened disobedience to state government. To the extent the policeman in the video above, while off duty, wished to participate in the political process, that was fine. But the policeman went much further, and suggested to the protesters that he would disobey the Governor. The announcement by the police union members that they would refuse an order from the legislature to evict the protesters from the building also went far beyond mere political speech.It's unclear to me what the lines of command are in Wisconsin, and whether the departments in which these policemen work ultimately are under the control of the Governor and/or legislature. Clearly, the Governor does control the National Guard. Regardless, the police union members involved have actively advocated and offered to participate in insurrection against the legal authority in Wisconsin. More than anything, this shows the dangers of public sector unions. Those who work for the state occupy a different position than those who work in the private sector because they carry the weight of state authority. When those state workers are in law enforcement, they carry special obligations not to use their positions for political purposes.When an off-duty policeman wearing police insignia takes a megaphone and announces that he and his fellow police union members will disobey orders, that policeman -- at a minimum -- has dishonored his pledge to uphold the law.Hmmmm......Another result from this Obama administration.Hitler with his union goons workers come to mind.Read the full story here.

• Arab League boss Moussa to run for Egypt president.Moussa enjoys wide popularity in Egypt, largely because of his scathing criticism of Israel, a country seen by most Egyptians as an enemy.CAIRO — Arab League chief Amr Moussa said he will run in this year's presidential elections in Egypt.Moussa's comments Sunday came a day after a constitutional reform panel appointed by Egypt's military rulers recommended far-reaching reforms that relaxed eligibility rules for who qualifies to run for president.Previously, Moussa was Egyptian foreign minister and before that a veteran diplomat for Cairo. Moussa is best known for his work as Egyptian ambassador to the UN in supporting president George H.W. Bush’s efforts in removing Saddam Hussein from Kuwait.Unlike former International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei, Moussa has much better name recognition inside Egypt and enjoys a much better relationship with Mubarak.Ironically, several months ago, local reports in Cairo stated that Moussa had spoken with Mubarak about a potential presidential candidacy in Egypt’s upcoming elections in September. • "The War on Christianity".Gaza assailants plant bomb under Christian car.Dr. Maher Ayyad say received text messages to halt evangelical work or face harsh punishment.A prominent Christian surgeon in the Gaza Strip said assailants threw a bomb at his vehicle and sent him threatening messages. Dr. Maher Ayyad, 55, says no one was hurt in Friday's bombing, though the explosion damaged his brother's vehicle. He said Sunday that after the blast, he received text messages to halt evangelical work or face harsh punishment. Ayyad says he does not preach his faith. There are some 3,000 Christians in Gaza amid a population of some 1.5 million Muslims. They mostly have good relations. But some Gaza Christians have reported harassment by religious hardliners since the terrorist Islamic group Hamas seized power in 2007. • HT:BigGovernment.Will Selling Out Mean Selling More for Walmart?When First Lady Michelle Obama held a press conference last January to announce a collaboration between Walmart’s new “Nutritional Charter” and her “Let’s Move” Campaign, she was heralding more than just an alliance with the world’s largest retailer and grocer.Walmart’s Nutritional Charter pledges to reduce sodium, sugar and trans fats in products, create “healthier product” labels, and drop prices on healthier foods, fruits and vegetables –even though lower costs in the grocery department are likely to be balanced with increases elsewhere.Although Walmart and conservatives used share principles and be friends, this event publicly confirmed the company’s leftward shift.After experiencing shakedowns by liberal activists, Walmart believed concessions might silence the din. But instead of a few capitulations, the left now controls Walmart, leaving conservative support in its battles – including unionization – in shards on the floor.Walmart’s lurch left was an orchestrated, strategic change led to a great extent by the man standing on the dais with Michelle Obama – long time Democrat strategist and liberal environmental operative Leslie Dach.About a decade ago, a coordinated wave of attacks by organized labor and its liberal allies deeply wounded Walmart’s reputation.Unions accused the company of poor working conditions. Feminists, gay rights activists and Jesse Jackson yelled “discrimination,” and environmental organizations accused Walmart of warming and polluting the planet.Hit hard — but with conservatives defending Walmart’s economic and employment contributions — then-CEO Lee Scott reached out to liberal public affairs firm Edelman for help. There he found his new Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Government Relations, Mr. Dach.Dach worked for Michael Dukakis and John Kerry, counseled President Clinton during impeachment and donated $28,500 to the 2008 Obama campaign. He has long been associated with far left environmental organizations like The Nature Conservancy and Environmental Defense.Dach now runs the Walmart Foundation, radically shifting giving from organizations that support economic liberty and traditional values to leftwing causes, including race-baiting organizations like La Raza and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.Generous grants are now given to World Resources International, an organization that believes capitalism is destroying the planet, to assist in “greening” Walmart’s supply chain and developing accounting tools to measure greenhouse gases. Dach sits on the WRI Board.While Mrs. Obama and Mr. Dach were busy saluting the food branch of environmental activism, just down the road unions and liberal activists were protesting the building of a Walmart that would bring lower cost food, household items and jobs to an economically depressed, primarily African-American DC neighborhood.Ironically, in addition to usual complaints, protesters are citing a university study that claims new Walmarts make people gain weight due to the availability of lower priced groceries.Unions and liberals consistently disdain Walmart, but the Obama camp blows hot and cold.In January 2008, an Obama volunteer wrote a blog on Organizing for America titled “Keep Walmart out of the White House!” One reason she supported Obama over Hillary Clinton was because Hillary was once on the Walmart Board.In May of 2007, Presidential candidate Barack Obama told AFL-CIO members in New Jersey that he would never shop at Walmart because of its anti-union stance and employee practices.A few days later Michelle Obama resigned from the Board of TreeHouse Foods, Inc., a large Walmart supplier, but after receiving over $51K of salary as well as stock benefits from the company.Let’s hope Dach’s plan to use the money of Walmart shoppers, employees and stockholders to fund the liberal enemies of the company works out.If not, Walmart may again come looking for help from conservatives, and find nobody home.Hmmmm.......How far and how deep has this " Metastatic Cancer" named 'the left' spread?Read the full story here.

• Related - Nephew of Hashemi Rafsanjani severely beaten.Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, the head of Iran's Expediency Council .HRA News Agency - Only three days after Iran’s *head of the Expediency Council’s daughter Faezeh Rafsanjani was insulted by plainclothes agents and his grandchildren taser attacked, his nephew Nasser Hashemi was confronted by plainclothes agents while visiting his mother’s grave site on February 24th. He was severely beaten by plainclothes agents and transferred to a hospital, according to the Ayandeh website. Nasser Hashemi was injured on the head, chest, and hands.It has been reported that Alireza Tavakoli-Bina, the son of the former aide to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the brother-in-law of Nasser Hashemi was also present at the scene and attempted to help but he and another relative were roughed up by the plainclothes agents.The following video shows plainclothes agents verbally assaulting Faezeh Rafsanjani. • More Civilians Killed Last Year in One Mexican Border Town Than All Afghanistan.More civilians were killed last year in Ciudad Juarez, the Mexican city across the border from El Paso, Texas, than were killed in all of Afghanistan.There were 3,111 civilians murdered in the city of Juarez in 2010 and 2,421 in the entire country of Afghanistan.On a per capita basis, a civilian was 30 times more likely to be murdered last year in Juarez, where there are 1,328,017 inhabitants according to Mexico’s 2010 census, than in Afghanistan, where there are 29,121,286 people according to the CIA World Factbook.The number of civilians killed in Afghanistan was compiled by the Congressional Research Service and published in a CRS report released on Feb. 3. The number of civilians killed in Juarez was compiled by Molly Molloy, a research librarian at New Mexico State University who maintains a count of murders Juarez and published it on the Frontera List Web site. Molloy’s work on civilian murders in Juarez was also referenced in a recent CRS report on Mexican drug cartels.Much of the violence in Juárez is sparked by drug trafficking organizations battling over one of the major smuggling corridors into the United States.Hmmmmm.....Obama there's no problem at the border.Read the full story here.

• "CIA spy" Davis was giving nuclear bomb material to Al-Qaeda, says report.Double murder-accused US official Raymond Davis has been found in possession of top-secret CIA documents, which point to him or the feared American Task Force 373 (TF373) operating in the region, providing Al-Qaeda terrorists with "nuclear fissile material" and "biological agents," according to a report.Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is warning that the situation on the sub-continent has turned "grave" as it appears that open warfare is about to break out between Pakistan and the United States, The European Union Times reports.The SVR warned in its report that the apprehension of 36-year-old Davis, who shot dead two Pakistani men in Lahore last month, had fuelled this crisis. According to the report, the combat skills exhibited by Davis, along with documentation taken from him after his arrest, prove that he is a member of US' TF373 black operations unit currently operating in the Afghan War Theatre and Pakistan's tribal areas, the paper said.While the US insists that Davis is one of their diplomats, and the two men he killed were robbers, Pakistan says that the duo were ISI agents sent to follow him after it was discovered that he had been making contact with al Qaeda, after his cell phone was tracked to the Waziristan tribal area bordering Afghanistan, the paper said.The most ominous point in this SVR report is "Pakistan's ISI stating that top-secret CIA documents found in Davis's possession point to his, and/or TF373, providing to al Qaeda terrorists "nuclear fissile material" and "biological agents", which they claim are to be used against the United States itself in order to ignite an all-out war in order to re-establish the West's hegemony over a Global economy that is warned is just months away from collapse," the paper added. • Last living U.S. World War I veteran dies.Washington (CNN) -- Frank Buckles, the last living U.S. World War I veteran, has died, a spokesman for his family said Sunday. He was 110.Buckles "died peacefully in his home of natural causes" early Sunday morning, the family said in a statement sent to CNN late Sunday by spokesman David DeJonge.Buckles marked his 110th birthday on February 1, but his family had earlier told CNN he had slowed considerably since last fall, according his daughter Susannah Buckles Flanagan, who lives at the family home near Charles Town, West Virginia.Buckles, who served as a U.S. Army ambulance driver in Europe during what became known as the "Great War," rose to the rank of corporal before the war ended. He came to prominence in recent years, in part because of the work of DeJonge, a Michigan portrait photographer who had undertaken a project to document the last surviving veterans of that war.As the years continued, all but Buckles had passed away, leaving him the "last man standing" among U.S. troops who were called "The Doughboys."Buckles in 2008 attended Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington at the grave of Gen. John Pershing, the commander of U.S. troops during World War I.He also had met with then-President George W. Darpa’s Cheetah-Bot Designed to Chase Human Prey.“Boston Dynamics, maker of the Army’s robotic mule BigDog announced today that DARPA has awarded it a contract to build a much faster and more fearsome animal-like robot, Cheetah.As the name implies, Cheetah is designed to be a four-legged robot with a flexible spine and articulated head (and potentially a tail) that runs faster than the fastest human. In addition to raw speed, Cheetah’s makers promise that it will have the agility to make tight turns so that it can “zigzag to chase and evade” and be able to stop on a dime.Cheetah builds off work on the company’s previous four legged animal bot, BigDog. It was built as a kind of unmanned pack mule, designed to carry equipment for troops on the battlefield. The robotic donkey could carry 300 lbs. over 13 miles on flat ground, take a swift kick and keep on moving. It’s creepy, lifelike movement can be seen on a number of videos online,climbing over hills and snow and hiking alongside soldiers, using GPS coordinates as its waypoints.”Think that’s creepy? Wait till you see its humanoid, Terminator look-alike buddy.Meet Atlas, Cheetah’s humanoid pal. Atlas is supposed to look more or less like the T-800 series of Terminators, minus the head. Its designers say it’ll be able to walk like a human over rough terrain, crawling on its hands and knees when necessary and turning itself sideways to slip through any narrow passages it encounters.
