Andrea Tenenti UNIFIL Deputy Spokesperson - only Lebanese Army can ask for observers

With thousands of Palestinians planning to flood Israel roam Lebanon on 5 June, Andrea Tenenti UNIFIL Deputy Spokesperson told IMRA 1 June 2011 that UNIFIL will only monitor events on Lebanese border with Israel at the request of the Lebanese army. Israel cannot request their presence. Israel cannot request UNIFIL to monitor.
