Senior Al-Qaeda Cleric to be Released from Egyptian Jail.(Memri).Egyptian jihadis reported that an Egyptian military court has decided to release Marjan Mustafa Salem Al-Jawhari, also known as 'Abd Al-Hakim Hassan, or Abu 'Amr, from prison. Hassan, in the past a member of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad’s shura council, was convicted in absentia in Egypt's “Vanguards of Conquest” and “Returnees from Albania” cases. Hassan was known to be in Afghanistan during the Taliban rule, where he was an active instructor at Al-Qaeda training camps. In 2001, following the US invasion, he fled to Waziristan. Hassan was later arrested by Pakistani authorities, who extradited him to Egypt in 2009.Hmmmm........I wonder if the Taliban asked Shaikh Yousef al-Qaradawi to intervene in Egypt, like he did with Obama for their Guantanamo comrades.Read the full story here.
