Alexander Munch 1948-2012 veteran of The Six-Day War has passed away in his sleep.

Alex at his mom's Grave April 2012

Alexander Munch 1948-2012 veteran of The Six-Day War has passed away in his sleep..

In April he told me how much he missed his late Mother. Little did i know my answer to him would come true so fast.

"I can not even start to imagine how you feel, to me loosing my mother would be like loosing part of myself. We talk every day to each other. But remember one day you will see her again.Death is only the beginning of a new journey, we go to sleep in one room and wake up in another."

You must have a lot of catching up to do with your mom.
One day we'll meet again..........Keep a cold one ready my friend.

Will.

My condolences to the Munch Family, His Father of who he was so proud and his two awesome sons Amnon and Jonathan who were his reasons to live.

His Blog can be found here.

  1. Will,
Nice tribute for our friend Alex.

I miss him already. He was such a good friend to Mr. AOW and me.

    1. Hi AOW,

I miss him also, his daily tweets and mails, he leaves an emptiness in our hearts, he gave us a inside view on the daily life in Israel.
He was like an uncut Diamond, strong, rough, blunt and straight to the point but a beautiful human being.
To me from now on 'Veterans day' will be the day Alex left us.
But his legacy lives on in his sons and his friends, he made understand what it is to live in Israel, surrounded by hostility.
