"Canadian Psycho" Luka Rocco Magnotta arrested in Berlin: 'How to get caught in Four days.(VS).A man dubbed the “Canadian Psycho,” who is suspected of killing and filming the dismemberment of his boyfriend, was arrested in Berlin on Monday, according to a media report. Mass-circulation daily Bild reported that Luka Rocco Magnotta, a 29-year-old former Canadian gay porn star, was picked up by authorities in an Internet cafe in Neukoelln, a working-class district of Berlin. Dismembered parts of the student, Jun Lin, who was killed on the night of May 24 in Montreal, were sent by mail to Conservative and Liberal party offices in Ottawa. A snuff video of the killing has also gone viral. Surveillance efforts at airports and train stations in France has multiplied to try to ensure the erstwhile model, stripper, gay prostitute and transsexual crossdresser — whose original name when he grew up in the Toronto suburb of Scarborough was Eric Clinton Newman and has also gone by the alias Vladimir Romanov — does not elude a police dragnet. He is believed to have arrived in Paris on an Air Canada flight from Montreal on May 26. There were no new reports of Magnotta's whereabouts on Sunday, but police warned the public he was considered "extremely dangerous" and arresting him was "a delicate matter." Le Figaro described "all the police of France" as being "terrified" of him. The same newspaper said in Monday's editions that Magnotta spent two nights last week at the Studio-Batignolles, a cheap hotel in the the rather privileged and wealthy 17th arrondissement. Curtains were drawn at Le Petit Batignolles, but the manager of the nearby bar had earlier been quoted as saying Magnotta had had a Coca-Cola just before 3 a.m. on Friday morning, that police had taken away an empty bottle that he may have used to check for the alleged killer's fingerprints and DNA and were also studying security videos.
