Adam Gadahn: Ever since his election, Barack Obama has made it a point to emphasize over and over again that, as he says, America is not, and never will be, at war with Islam.
Now, it's clear that Obama is trying to pull our leg here. Obviously, Obama doesn't know what the future holds. I mean, even assuming that America is not at war with Islam today, how can Obama be so certain that America will never be at war with Islam?
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that America really isn't at war with Islam. Does that mean that Muslims shouldn't be fighting America? No. In Islam, if someone comes and attacks me, I'm not required to ask him: "Oh, are you attacking me because of my religion, or because you want my oil wealth?" I defend myself. Period.
America is crystal clear about its opposition to Islam as a political system, to Islam as a ruling system, to islam as shari'a – and shari'a is the essence of Islam. So, how can America say that it is not at war with Islam?
I'll give you just one example of the animosity of America to Islam. There is this congressman Mark Kirk. He was on the air the day after Qadhafi was executed, talking about how we must stop and prevent the formation of an Islamic party in Libya.
I was going to say that America has no problem with Islam as rituals – prayers, fasting, and so on, but then I remembered the protests against the Islamic centers in New York, Temecula, and Tennessee, I think, and other places. So I think that the claim that America is not at war with Islam as a religion is a bald-faced lie.
The civilization which boasts that it is the most knowledgeable in the history of the world cannot plausibly claim that it has been unable to properly understand a religion whose followers number in the billions, and which commands its adherents to openly preach and propagate its doctrines and tenets. The civilization that claims to have uncovered the secrets of the heavens and earth cannot, after making such arrogant claims, justify the act as if Islam is some sort of esoteric mystery religion, with arcane beliefs and rituals unknowable except by the initiated.
So, because I know that there are among you those who will respond positively upon hearing the truth, and because I know that the hearts of even the most hardened of enemies can be softened, if God so wills, I would like to devote this talk to making a heartfelt invitation to my religion, Islam.
"Islam" – the surrender, or the submission – is the religion chosen by God for all of mankind, the religion of all the prophets and messengers – from Adam to Abraham, to Moses, to Jesus, to Muhammad, and all in-between. The Koran states firmly that they and their followers were neither Jews, nor Christians, but were in fact Muslims – those who surrender themselves to God. And indeed, one does not find the words "Judaism" and "Jew" in the extant Torah, nor the words "Christianity" and "Christian" in the four Gospels.
The Koran is the inimitable speech of God, and has been preserved by God as He sent it down over 1,400 years ago, by way of the angel Gabriel, to his final prophet and messenger Muhammad, the unlettered prophet.
I was sad to hear the news of the martyrdom of Sheik Anwar [Al-Awlaki] and Samir Khan. We ask Allah to accept them as martyrs, and we say: "We are from Allah, and it is to Him that we will return."
I think America, and Barack Obama in particular, have now shown their true colors for all to see. Even American citizens are now targets for the CIA and for the drone strikes.
This is a wake-up call for Muslims in America. Today, American Muslims are being killed in Yemen, and tomorrow, they're going to be killed in New York and Los Angeles. Get ready for the holocaust.Source: Memri.
