Iran Calls for Formation of ‘Transitional Government’ in Syria.HT : UskowiOnIran.Iran today called on Syrian president Bashar Assad and the opposition to form a transitional government in Syria until new elections can be held. The Iranian foreign minister, visiting Saudi Arabia, also warned that Syria could break up and its conflict spills across the region unless a political solution can end the bloodshed soon.
“God forbid, if there was a void, or disintegration, in Syria, this crisis would spill over into all countries in the region,” Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi told reporters in Jeddah on Sunday after holding talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal.
Salehi said the Syrian government and its opponents should seek a political solution by setting up a “transitional government” until elections.Read the full story here.
