Iranian Basij Commander: Grave Consequences Waiting for US if It Attacks Syria, calls for elimination of 'Zionist regime'.(Fars).
"(Any) attack on Syria will further pave the way for the liberation of Palestine, because the Iranian nation and other regional nations now avoid taking reciprocal action due to international considerations, but any aggression (against Syria) will result in ignoring such considerations and will make them increase their reactions against the US,” Brigadier General Naqdi said on Saturday, pointing to the threats and psychological war launched by the US against the Syrian nation and government.
The Iranian commander recalled the US warmongering policies and its aggression, occupation, massacre and plundering of other nations’ assets on lame excuses, and said, “Today the enemies intend to blow a strike on the resistance in Syria under the false pretext of chemical weapons use, but the reality is that the US wants to dominate the world.”
He said that the US invaded Iraq in 2003 under the false accusations that the Arab country possessed atomic bombs, while it did and does ignore Israel’s possession of 200 nuclear warheads. "These show that their goal is not campaigning against terrorism, rather they are after hegemony, bullying, looting nations' assets and defending the Zionist regime."
Brigadier General Naqdi said that the solution to all problems of the regional problems is elimination of the Zionist regime, adding, “The American people should awaken and realize that their assets and their country’s name is being sacrificed for the sake of the security of the criminal Zionist regime.”
Earlier this week, Brigadier General Naqdi blamed Tel Aviv and Washington for the bloodshed and bombings in Syria, but meantime underscored that the US cannot wage a full-fledged war on Syria.
They (the Americans) are not able to enter a new war in the region, because neither do their economic capabilities allow them nor do they have a proper morale and high spirit for starting a new war, hence this capability is not envisaged for them,” Brigadier General Naqdi said in Tehran.
Brigadier General Naqdi said that although the bombings may apparently be carried out by some militant and terrorist groups, the main perpetrators of these crimes are Israel and the US.
The US and its allies have accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against its own people near the capital, Damascus, last week, but Syria has vehemently ruled out any involvement in the attack, saying it was a false flag operation by the foreign-backed militants fighting against the Syrian army.
