Vural, meanwhile, noted that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had said there would be “more to come” in reference to the arrests of people accused of being part of a “parallel state,” and paraphrased Erdoğan as saying “We have a foot in the fiscal sector, the media and the business sector.”

”Bal also noted: “During the Dec. 17 and Dec. 25 operations, the AK Party was caught with millions of dollars in shoeboxes, safes, backpacks and luggage, evidencing [their participation in] laundering money and smuggling gold.

Instead of addressing this evidence, the judiciary and security forces have invented a parallel state,” adding, “The prime minister is trying to cover up fraud and corruption by creating this ‘parallel state' nonsense.
