Iran issues visas for all but 9 countries' citizens, Israel - U.S. - UK - Canada among those excluded. (
Irna).
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari has said Iran
will issue visas on arrival to citizens of all countries in Iranian
airports except 9 ones including US and Britain.
Addressing
his weekly press conference here in Tehran, the senior diplomat
refrained from announcing the list of the excluded countries,
but it is
rumored that Canada, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, India and Colombia may
be among the excluded countries.
Jaberi Ansari said the visas are being issued in a bid to bolster Iran's tourism industry now that sanctions have been lifted.
Insecurity or absence of diplomatic ties is the reason for the exclusion of the 9 countries.
