  • Another baby stolen by woman in burqa.MUMBAI: Even as the Bombay high court on Monday afternoon was coming down heavily on the BMC for the spate of baby-stealing incidents that have been occurring in municipal hospitals, another baby was stolen from a BMC-run primary health centre in Govandi. The two-month-old, Sahil Ansari, was stolen from his eight-year-old brother, Mohammed, who was taking care of him while his mother went out to buy medicines. Sources said that around 3.30 pm on Monday, a burqa-clad woman approached Mohammed with a ten-rupee note and asked him to buy her a paan while she looked after his baby brother. "Ten minutes later when Mohammed returned, she was gone," said a police officer from the Shivaji Nagar police station. "But Mohammed was unable to describe her features since her face was veiled."Additional municipal commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar said this case was similar to the one at the V N Desai hospital in Santa Cruz a few days ago. Here too, the mother had given the baby to his sibling, from whom he was stolen. "After the Santa Cruz incident, we put up posters everywhere, asking people to be wary of handing their baby to strangers. People need to be alert in the wake of such situations," Mhaiskar said.Hmmm.....you should not pat down people in Burkas?Read the full story here.

  • HT:CompetingHypotheses. Are they perfectly incompetent? Ridiculous. The American Transportation Safety Administration couldn't be perfect at anything. All that is asked is that they be some degree of capable. Sadly, THEY AREN'T. these morons (And I Don't Use That Term Lightly) seem to think the correct answer to any problem is over-reaction. cf:Japan Post to comply with the closure of the US Mail to any international package weighing more than one pound (453 g). No period or end-date announced.Apparently, the TSA thinks this is such a good idea that they are making it a world-wide ban:Post Offices in the Caribbean are also preventing shipment of packages over 400 grams to the U.S.A. until 10.December and there are no commercial alternatives there as the other mail delivery companies there have also been ordered to cease shipments.Hmmm...the Obamas did already all their Christmas shopping!Read the full story here.

  • US jury hands down Ghailani verdict. Ex-Guantanamo inmate accused of role in US embassy attacks acquitted on all but one of 286 charges at civilian trial. The first former Guantanamo detainee to be tried in a civilian court has been found not guilty on all but one of the 286 charges in the 1998 bombings of two US embassies in Africa.A federal jury handed down the verdict on Wednesday to Ahmed Ghailani, a Tanzanian national who had been accused of conspiring in the car bomb attacks in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 224 people. The jury found him guilty of one charge of conspiracy to damage or destroy US property by means of an explosive device.Ghailani was cleared of 276 murder and attempted murder counts, along with five other conspiracy charges. However, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years after his conspiracy conviction."We respect the jury's verdict and are pleased that Ahmed Ghailani now faces a minimum of 20 years in prison, and a potential life sentence for his role in the embassy bombings," the US justice department said after the verdict.Daphne Eviatar, from Human Rights First, said that the trial demonstrated the system works and that there was no need to keep the Guantanamo Bay facility open."What strikes me is how efficient, fair, and transparent the federal court prosecution was," she said."The questions today's verdict raise are why the government has not tried all terror suspects in federal court and when will the government announce additional prosecutions."Read the full story here.

  • F.B.I. Seeks Wider Wiretap Law for Web. Robert S. Mueller III, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, traveled to Silicon Valley on Tuesday to meet with top executives of several technology firms about a proposal to make it easier to wiretap Internet users. Mr. Mueller and the F.B.I.’s general counsel, Valerie Caproni, were scheduled to meet with senior managers of several major companies, including Google and Facebook, according to several people familiar with the discussions. How Mr. Mueller’s proposal was received was not clear.Law enforcement officials want the 1994 law to also cover Internet companies because people increasingly communicate online. An interagency task force of Obama administration officials is trying to develop legislation for the plan, and submit it to Congress early next year.Under the proposal, firms would have to design systems to intercept and unscramble encrypted messages. Services based overseas would have to route communications through a server on United States soil where they could be wiretapped. Read the full story here.

  • HT:BigPeace.CAIR Spreads Propaganda for Radical Saudis on Islam’s Holiest Day.Even Breitbart.com carried yesterday’s bizarrely ‘urgent’ press release from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which praised the leading Saudi cleric, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, on the most significant Muslim holiday of the year- Eid al-Adha (Holiday of the Sacrifice). No previous single press release or statement by CAIR more clearly reveals its ideological ties and service to the Saudis, and their Wahhabi ideologues – and its willingness to use word games, deception and moral equivalence to avoid revealing its true objectives.CAIR’s assertion that this should “put to rest once and for all the false claim that Muslims leaders do not condemn terrorism” demonstrates, once and for all, that CAIR is part of the Saudi propaganda machine. Further, it should rather actually ‘put to rest’ any doubts that CAIR is, in fact, part of the theo-political global Islamist movement in the West and in the United States, hatched and nurtured by Saudi Arabia, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Islamist groups from the Middle East.According to Geo News, the Grand Mufti also said in his sermon:“God sent the last and final Prophet with the complete code of conduct (Shariah), which, is in complete harmony with human nature, owing to the fact that it caters to all natural and material needs.” He also added that, “the human inner being (nafs) drives man to do evil.”CAIR voices no disagreement on their part with the Mufti, about his interpretation of shariah here or anywhere. In fact, CAIR is now also suing the state of Oklahoma to protect their fellow Islamists’ “right” to use that same shariah, without interference from the state.CAIR’s rush to highlight the radical Saudi cleric’s “condemnation” of terrorism was clearly based on its expectation, not without merit, that most Americans would not research how immoderate this cleric really is. A brief review of that sermon – in context, and in view of the Grand Mufti’s ‘other’ prominent radical ideas – reveals a dangerous, influential Islamist who uses Wahhabi interpretations of Islam and shariah to impose misogyny, child marriage, child abuse, Muslim supremacy, and spread hate-filled anti-American propaganda.Shamefully, CAIR chose Islam’s holiest day of the year to spread this type of propaganda. We, modern reform-minded American Muslims and non-Muslims alike, must unite and speak with one voice against it.Hmmmm......one word :"Al-taqiyya".Read the full story here.

  • Former Israeli Airline Security Chief: U.S. Needs to Profile Air Passengers. As criticism mounts over the use of full-body scanners and physical pat-downs at U.S. airports, the former security director for Israel’s national airline told CNSNews.com that airline security in America is an “illusion,” and that the United States should adopt El Al’s passenger profiling approach to ensure safety.According to Isaac Yeffet, the former security chief for El Al Israel Airlines, the United States should adopt El Al’s security approach of ensuring that every passenger is interviewed by a well-trained agent before check-in, a move that involves profiling passengers, which he said is not discriminatory.“Yes, profiling,” he said. “Profiling is not that I am choosing that I want to interview them. We don’t have discrimination [at El Al]. Every passenger--I don’t care who he or she is--has to be interviewed by security. We have to be polite. We know how to ask questions.”“The TSA [Transportation Safety Administration in USA] wants to tell me we now have security in this country--this is an illusion,” he said. “It’s not security. It’s about time that we are proactive and reactive. In this country we fear reactive, we don’t do anything to be proactive.”When asked if he thought the use of full-body scanners created an illusion of security, Yeffet said, "Yes, they are a small part of the entire system that you use to check a passenger if he is suspicious".Hmmmm....but what if these body scanners are part of a "business" deal at the highest levels and planned to be implemented everywhere?Read the full story here.

  • HT:IsraelMatzav.Put up or shut up.When the President of the United States says "trust me" should we trust him? Or should we get it in writing? Given this country's past experiences with President Obama, and with President Clinton before him, there is no way we should not get a written commitment from President Obama. I don't believe we can trust a written commitment from Obama either, but at least if we get it in writing, we can show his political opponents when he tries to cheat us. Thus far, Prime Minister Netanyahu agrees. It doesn't sound like the letter is coming anytime soon.Read the full story here.

  • HT:RightSideNews. An Extremist Sharia Makeover .For the past month-and-a-half, the Islamic Society of Milwaukee (ISM) has been sponsoring a program attempting to whitewash the effect that Sharia law, if implemented, would have on American society. Teaching the courses was Zulfiqar Ali Shah, an individual tied to various radical Muslim groups, including a Hamas charity. Does the ISM really believe that a known extremist can put a good face on Sharia, and what does this say about those who advocate for Sharia. From October through November, 2010, that was Shah’s goal, in a six-week course that he led held at the Men’s Masjid of ISM, entitled ‘Is Islamic Shari’ah a Threat to America? ’ However, when one looks at Shah’s background, one might not only view Sharia law as a threat, but they may view Shah as a threat, as well.Prior to his employment at ISM, Shah was involved with a variety of Muslim extremist groups. One of them was the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the American arm of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan.Shah is, as well, seen in video footage obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism  (IPT) praising terror fighters (mujahideen) in Kashmir and calling for violent jihad, at a Cleveland, Ohio rally held in July 2001.Another radical Muslim organization Shah was involved in was KindHearts, an Islamic “charity” that was established in January 2002 and was shut down by the FBI in February 2006. KindHearts was found to have provided more than $16 million to Hamas. While Shah’s credentials as a “Sharia scholar” may be exceptional, all of the above has shown that he is the last person to be lecturing Americans on what is good or not good for their country. Indeed, with his involvement in KindHearts alone, he probably shouldn’t be giving lectures anywhere, except behind prison bars.Is Islamic Sharia a threat to America?Maybe the answer lies with those who are teaching it.Read the full treason story here.

  • Somalia overtakes Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Colombia to become world’s terror capital – Global study. Al-Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula pulls Yemen into 'extreme risk' but Greece sustains more attacks.Somalia is now more at risk from terrorist attacks than Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Colombia according to a global ranking assessing the frequency and intensity of terrorist incidents in 196 countries. Sixteen countries are rated as ‘extreme risk’ with Somalia (1), Pakistan (2), Iraq (3), Afghanistan (4), Palestinian Occupied Territory (5), Colombia (6), Thailand (7), Philippines (8), Yemen (9) and Russia (10) at the bottom of the ranking. The Terrorism Risk Index (TRI) is developed by global risks advisory firm, Maplecroft, to enable organisations to identify and monitor terrorism risks to human security and international assets. The index uses data from June 2009 to June 2010 to assess the frequency of terrorist incidents and the intensity of attacks, which includes the number of victims per attack and the chances of mass casualties occurring. It also includes a historical component assessing the number of attacks between 2007 and 2009. None of the major Western economies fall within the high or ‘extreme risk’ bracket – USA (33), France (44) and United Kingdom (46) all remain in the ‘medium risk’ category, whilst Canada (67) and Germany (70) are rated as ‘low risk.’Hmmmm....they seem to be "working" on Germany it's rating,al though 'low risk' doesn't mean no underground cells?Read the full story here.

  • Kyl statement deals serious setback to Obama's push for START.One of President Obama's top foreign-policy goals suffered a potentially ruinous setback when the Senate's second-ranking Republican said the U.S. nuclear treaty with Russia should not be considered until next year. The statement Tuesday by Sen. Jon Kyl (Ariz.) stunned the White House and Democrats, who scrambled to save the pact. It came just days after Obama declared that ratifying the treaty was his top foreign-policy priority for the lame-duck session of Congress.Kyl's decision came despite an administration offer Friday to pour an extra $4.1 billion into modernization of the nation's nuclear complex. Because the treaty would reduce both sides' stockpiles of nuclear weapons, Republicans have insisted that the administration spend more money to ensure that existing U.S. weapons are well maintained. Kyl's decision reflects a more assertive Republican stance following the midterm elections. The New START treaty is the centerpiece of Obama's "reset" of relations with Russia - a policy that the administration credits with producing critical cooperation from Moscow on Iran and Afghanistan. Five Republicans who are opposed to the treaty discussed their concerns in a report released last month by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. They said the treaty's limit of 700 deployed nuclear delivery systems was "a bad deal" because it required more U.S. than Russian reductions. They also said the 10-year funding proposed for modernizing the nuclear complex - a total of $84.1 billion - was "a good start" but did not meet the total need.Read the full story here.

One student, Kern Mollinea, told the paper that the girls were unusually strong, and many of them had bruises.Mollineau also claimed he communicated with the “Devil” who had possessed the girl. “I asked the Devil what he wanted with the girls and the voice said he wanted a life. He kept saying to send the girls in the toilet and to leave them alone." Hmmm....sounds more like someone exploiting superstition and drugs.Read the full story here.More here.

  • Man Denied Life-Saving Liver Transplant Because of Cuts in Arizona’s Medicaid Program.Arizona's Medicaid agency announced earlier this year that it would no longer cover liver transplants for Hepatitis C patients, a move blasted at the time as "a death sentence" by one patient advocacy group. And now a Hep-C patient has been denied a life-saving liver transplant because he couldn’t afford to pay for it himself.According to the Arizona Republic, 32-year-old Francisco Felix was in the hospital, ready to receive a liver that was donated to him late Monday night. But the liver went to someone else Tuesday morning because Felix couldn't find $200,000 overnight to pay for the transplant. The newspaper reported that approximately 100 Arizonans enrolled in the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System are awaiting transplants that are no longer covered by AHCCCS, and 60 of them have liver disease related to hepatitis C, as Felix does. Transplant is their only cure.Patients who lost transplant coverage have been allowed to stay on the waiting list, but when a match is found they must come up with the money right away.Hmmm....Obama care in it's natural habitat?Read the full story here.

  • Combined revolutions begin to bear fruit for Kurdish women guerrillas.Female freedom fighters here have paid a heavy price, writes Catrina Stewart in the Qandil Mountains, northern Iraq.A JEEP screeches to a halt in front of the house, and with a slamming of doors, three Kurdish fighters emerge, two of them women. They stride into the villagers’ house, and even though it is late and the family wants to sleep, their hosts bring out some fruit and tea.Sitting cross-legged on the floor, their rifles propped up in the corner of the room, the two women light cigarettes and crack a joke to ease the tension with the men in the room.Since joining the Kurdish resistance in the early 1990s, these women have cut themselves off almost entirely from their families and loved ones, dedicating their lives to a cause that has cost an estimated 40,000 lives from both sides in the past three decades. The women are soldiers of the Kurdish Workers’ Party, or PKK, which for 26 years has waged a bloody war for autonomy in Turkey from the mountains in northern Iraq that straddle southern Turkey and part of Iran.Only in the last two years has the movement lowered its sights, settling for equal democratic and cultural liberties in a bid to end the conflict. The PKK is proud of its attitude towards women. Abdullah Ocalan, the movement’s revered head who languishes in a Turkish prison, argued that the Kurds could only be emancipated if they freed their women, too.Inevitably, there was resistance at first from the men, who viewed women as a liability in battle, and a distraction. When the females proved themselves again and again, opposition to them gradually melted away.Nevertheless, for the first time in years, Kurds say they sense that change is in the air, and parents can now dare to hope that their sons and daughters may finally come home – perhaps not next year, but soon. So, too, do the guerrillas.Hmmmm...the road to Hell is paved with empty promises.Read the full story here.

  • Hearing for Muslim NY TV exec accused of beheading wife .With his murder trial coming up in January, the founder of a Muslim-oriented television station accused of beheading his wife is due in a western New York courtroom for pretrial proceedings.Muzzammil Hassan (moo-ZAHM'-mel HAH'-sahn) has been through several attorneys as he plots his defense strategy, one that's expected to include claims he was a battered spouse.A pretrial conference is scheduled for Wednesday in Buffalo. The most recent attorney to leave the case, Julie Atti Rogers, withdrew in late September after saying the working relationship with Hassan had become difficult.Aasiya (AH'-see-ya) Hassan was killed inside the suburban Buffalo television station she and her husband established to promote cultural understanding.Defense attorneys' claims that Muzzammil Hassan was victimized by his wife drew a blunt response at a hearing Friday from District Attorney Frank Sedita."He chopped her head off," Sedita said. "He chopped her head off. That's all I have to say about Mr. Hassan's apparent defense that he was a battered spouse."Nancy Sanders, a former news director at Bridges TV, was skeptical of the abuse claim, noting the stocky Hassan stood over 6 feet tall and "filled a doorway," while Aasiya was slender and several inches shorter.DiPirro said the couple had "physical confrontations off and on" for their entire eight-year marriage that had recently escalated to death threats. The grounds for divorce were "cruel and inhuman treatment," DiPirro said, referring to mulitple prior incidents of abuse. She declined to elaborate."We were worried about the situation becoming volatile," DiPirro said.Asked if the slaying is being investigated as an honor killing, Benz replied, "It's safe to say we're investigating all the angles we can, all the possibilities in conjunction with the district attorney's office. We're looking at whatever we might come across."Hmmmm....you judge yourselves how this over 6 -foot tall "man" ,known for "cruel and inhuman treatment," suddenly tries to play the "battered Spouce!Read the full abuse story here.More here and here.

  • Behind delayed summit: Republican distrust of President Obama. The roots of the partisan standoff that led to the postponement of the bipartisan White House summit scheduled for Thursday date back to January, when President Barack Obama dominated a GOP meeting in Baltimore to deliver a humiliating rebuke to House Republicans. The one-sided televised presidential lecture, which many Republicans decried as a political ambush — Obama’s staff wanted the event to be broadcast and GOP aides agreed reluctantly at the last minute — has left a lingering distrust of Obama invitations and a wariness about accommodating every scheduling request emanating from the West Wing, aides tell POLITICO. “He has a ways to go to rebuild the trust,” said a top Republican Hill staffer “The Baltimore thing was unbelievable.”According to the White House, McConnell and Boehner — soon to be Speaker Boehner — cited “scheduling conflicts in organizing their caucuses” as the reason for requesting the postponement on Tuesday.“I never received a formal invitation, so no, it was never on my schedule,” Kyl told POLITICO Tuesday afternoon. “This week was never propitious for that kind of meeting anyway.”Hmmm...it seems Obama hasn't learned anything from the midterms and still wants to rule like a potential dictator,"don't call us we'll call you!"Read the full story here.
