  • Counter-terror ‘expert’ tells cops: Kill militant Muslims, ‘including children’.A counter-terrorism consultant told a meeting of law enforcement officials that the way to combat militant Muslims is to "kill them ... including the children," says a news report.Walid Shoebat, a self-described "former PLO terrorist" who "now speaks out for USA and Israel," reportedly made the comment at a speech during a conference of the International Counter-Terrorism Officers Association in Las Vegas this past October, according to the Huffington Post's Chip Berlet.Religion writer Richard Bartholomew describes Shoebat as "a pseudo-expert on terrorism, Islamic extremism, and Biblical prophecy, and he teaches that Obama is a secret Muslim and that the Bible has prophesised a Muslim anti-Christ."In comments at the Huffington Post, Michael Riker, head of ICTOA, which sponsored the Las Vegas conference, defended Shoebat."What you hear from Walid is the TRUTH," he wrote. Speaking about the Las Vegas conference, Riker said "the attendees were glued to what Walid had to say and the majority of them agreed. The liberal media is afraid to hear what the truth really is. Who has been planning attacks on our country? We are in a war of ideology and if you don't know that you need to get you head out of the sand."Hmmmm....You don't treat cancer with plastic surgery.Read the full story here.

  • Former Marine walks free after shooting dog owner dead... for letting pet relieve itself on his award-winning front lawn.A 69-year-old retired U.S. Marine will not serve a day of jail time for killing a man whose dog urinated on his lawn. Will County Judge Daniel Rozak made the ruling in the case this afternoon, meaning that Charles J Clements will serve four years of probation for the May shooting of 23-year-old Joshua Funches. The court heard that Funches was walking his fox terrier in the Chicago suburb of University Park on May 9 when the dog urinated on Clements' front lawn.Clements, who had been been given an award for his manicured front lawn and was fiercely proud of it, confronted Funches over the incident. An argument between the two men ensued, during which Clements pulled out a .45-calibre handgun and pointed it at Funches.Witnesses later told police Funches became agitated and said: 'Next time you pull out a pistol, why don't you use it?'Assistant State's Attorney Sondra Denmark said Clements responded by firing a single shot that struck Funches in the abdomen. The father of two was pronounced dead at St James Hospital in nearby Olympia Fields.According to the Chicago Tribune, Clements had won a lawn-beautification award handed out to residents, and neighbours told the newspaper he was known to yell at anyone who stepped on his lawn. But Clements' attorney, Daniel Collins, claimed the shooting was in self-defence and occurred after Funches repeatedly struck Clements in the face. Mr Collins said: 'He feared for his safety. He also felt that his life was in danger.'Hmmmm...."He had the gun handy for any 'moles' approaching his lawn"?Read the full story here.

  • UK cable in 1980 said Israel ready to use bomb.Former Ambassador Robinson told Foreign Office 'if Israelis are to be destroyed, they will go down fighting this time'.A British ambassador to Israel warned as early as 1980 that Israel would detonate a nuclear bomb in case of a new war with the Arabs, according to previously secret state documents released on Thursday."If they (Israelis) are to be destroyed, they will go down fighting this time. They will be ready to use their atomic weapon," ambassador John Robinson wrote in a cable to the Foreign Office on May 4, 1980. Israel has never confirmed or denied having atom bombs under a policy of ambiguity to deter numerically superior foes."As long as there is no agreement on the West Bank and Jerusalem which satisfies the Palestinians, they will be driven increasingly to extremism; moderate governments in the area and Western interest will be increasingly threatened; opportunities for Soviet influence and intervention will increase; and so will the danger of a new war," the cable said.Hmmm.....Can you blame them after 6 Million victims?Read the full story here.

  • Iran is now a nuclear state: Ahmadinejad.Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said Iran is now a nuclear country and that it has achieved nuclear know-how for energy purposes, a media report said. "Though the US and its allies have been exerting political and propaganda pressure and have issued resolutions against Iran over its nuclear programme, all their efforts have failed and Iran has now become a nuclear country," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by Press TV.Addressing a gathering in northern Karaj city, the Iranian President said cooperation rather than confrontation was the only way to resolve issues related to Iran's nuclear energy programme."We are open to cooperation based on our rights," he said, warning Western countries that Iran would give a "regretting" response to anyone who "intends to prevent Iran from achieving its rights".He termed the sanction resolutions passed by the UN against Iran as "illegal" and said the sanctions would only "strengthen the Iranian nation" and accelerate the pace of its progress.Source.

  • HT:NiceDeb.Is It Time To Use The “T” Word To Describe The Obama Administration? Is it time to start openly describing this administration, as tyrannical? I’ve been calling Obama and his left-wing allies in Congress Democrat Socialists for two years, now, (because that is what so many of them are), but this is something altogether different. It’s a stronger, harsher word that conjures up images of leftist dictators like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. But, what else do you call it when the administration flouts the will of Congress, the courts, and the American people to impose its far-left agenda through arbitrary regulation? What other name is there for it?As Robert Allen Bonelli notes in his Big Government piece, Using Regulation Against The Will Of The People:Written into the Declaration of Independence is a simple imperative, “Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” Our nation was built on this concept, but the Obama administration is using its power to write regulation to circumvent the will of the people and advance its own agenda.Three recent examples of this over reach are shocking and all Americans should demand an end to the practice and a reversal of what has already been done. Citizens need to think, whether they agree with the reasons for the circumvention or not, about what is at stake. Using regulation to specifically subjugate the will of the people to the agenda of any president is nothing less than tyranny. So far, all commenters answer my question with a resounding, YES, it’s time (or well past time) to call Obama a tyrant.Hmmmm....It took you so long to realise who or what he is?Read the full story here.

  • HT:IsraelMatzav.US spying on Iran from Turkey.Something tells me that the Turks will not allow this to continue. According to the cable released from the U.S. embassy in Turkey, the information was gathered through Iranian citizens living in Turkey. The Iranians who were contacted by the Americans were threatened by Iranian agents not to have contact with American diplomats, the cable said, and the information was gathered in clandestine ways to ensure their safety.Read the full story here.

  • Palestinians target settlements in UN resolution. The Palestinians plan to ask the U.N. Security Council in the coming days to declare Israeli settlements illegal and demand a halt to their construction, officials said Wednesday, in a high stakes gamble aimed at increasing pressure on Israel.A draft of the resolution obtained by The Associated Press calls the settlements obstacles to peace but does not ask for sanctions against Israel or any other concrete action. This would be a key element in a Palestinian campaign to rally international support for independence, even without a peace deal. Officials said the strategy reflects their disillusionment with sputtering U.S. peace efforts and Palestinian distrust of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The move - largely aimed at seeking U.S. support - bears huge risks. Washington has already balked at the resolution and might veto it. Even a U.S. abstention, a more likely option, would greatly diminish the resolution's significance. Israel blasted the measure as an effort to avoid negotiations. The draft, dated Dec. 21, notably does not call for sanctions, instead urging both sides to continue negotiations toward a peace deal. One senior Palestinian official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the process is ongoing, said the conciliatory language was added in hopes of winning U.S. support.Hmmmmm....."They don't trust me because of my middle name".Read the full story here.

  • Arab majority in 'historic Palestine' after 2014.The Arab population in "historic Palestine" will equal the Jewish population by 2014, and quickly outstrip it thereafter, Palestinian statistics released Thursday said. The figures published by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics show the Arab population in Israel, the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip nearing the size of the Jewish population, but with a significantly higher birth rate. The bureau said the Arab population in the occupied West Bank and Gaza currently stands at 4.1 million, with another 1.4 million Arabs living inside Israel. That gives a total not far short of the 5.8 million Jews living in the same area, according to current Israeli data."The number of Palestinians (Arabs) will reach that of Jewish residents by the end of 2014, around 6.1 million, at the current growth rate," the Palestinian bureau said.It noted that the birth rate in the Palestinian territories is currently 32.8 per thousand residents, as compared to 26.2 per thousand in Israel. The bureau put the current number of Palestinian refugees living overseas at 5.6 million, primarily in Arab countries.A number of Israelis have advanced the "demographic" argument to push for a two-state solution, warning that without a resolution, the growing Arab population will erase Israel's character as a Jewish state.

  • More Senior Iranian Clerics Lambaste Government.Three more senior Iranian clerics have come out with criticisms of government policy. Ayatollah Ali Mohammad Dastgheyb, a member of the Assembly of Experts, said during a meeting on December 28 with the family of jailed reformist politician Mostafa Tajzadeh the current regime is neither a republic nor Islamic, according to the opposition Kaleme website. Referring to the ongoing crackdown, Dastgheyb said none of the sources of emulation approves of what is currently happening in Iran, which he said violates "the Koran, Sunnah [words and actions of the Prophet Muhammad], and [the country's] constitution."Ayatollah Yusef Sanei, a senior reformist cleric in Qom, said placing prisoners in solitary confinement for a long time and violating their rights is against Shari'a law. And on December 27, Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani, a source of emulation in Qom, said the confession of a person who is in prison has no validity, and a judge who issues a sentence merely based on such a confession is not qualified to judge. Paris-based religious scholar Mohammad Javad Akbarin told Radio Farda that Khorasani's statement is not an expression of a political position, but a reminder to the establishment that it is ignoring Shari'a law. "Although the Islamic republic regime claims that it implements Shari'a law, its judicial system is acting otherwise," Akbarin said. That is why Khorasani's statement, which is nothing new, just an undeniable tenet of Shari'a, is so noteworthy for us, he added. The influential hard-line newspaper "Kayhan" recently harshly criticized senior clerics who have visited political prisoners' families, calling such acts "all grist to the enemy's mill."Read the full story here.

  • Israeli diplomat ambushed by NY Times staff. The New York Times, flagship of the liberal American media, has never been a friend of the Jewish state. But the newspaper’s aversion to Israel turned to open hostility this month when its top editors ambushed and tore into an unsuspecting senior official from the Israeli Consulate in New York City. The Israeli official was invited by the Times editors, among them rabid columnist Thomas Friedman, to meet with them at their office. Being a veteran at dealing with the American media, the official assumed the invitation was for a friendly discussion and perhaps an interview regarding the peace process and other matters of importance to Israel. The Israeli had no idea he was being invited for what he described as a lynch. As the meeting started, the Times editors - most of them Jews, and one of them a former Israeli - began to attack the Israeli diplomat, and refused to give him even a moment to respond. They blamed Israel for everything, the diplomat told Israel Today.Read the full story here.

  • Rep. King: Obama recess appointment at Justice Dept. 'absolutely shocking'.Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, has angrily denounced President Obama’s recess appointment of James Cole as deputy attorney general.King called Cole’s appointment “absolutely shocking” and said it might be one of the worst appointments Obama will make during his presidency.“I strongly oppose the recess appointment of James Cole to lead the national security team at the Department of Justice,” King said in a statement. “The appointment indicates that the Obama Administration continues to try to implement its dangerous policies of treating Islamic terrorism as a criminal matter.”The harsh words demonstrate the deep divisions that exist between some of the president’s policies and Republican positions on terrorism issues and serve as a harbinger of the inevitable clashes to come between the GOP chairmen of key national security committees and the administration.“This may be one of the worst appointments by President Obama during his presidency,” King added, referring to Cole as a “left-wing ideologue who places terrorists in the same categories as drug peddlers."While the recess appointment allows Obama to fill a key spot at the Department of Justice, Cole will have to be nominated again and confirmed by the end of the next session of Congress. That could be tougher, given the larger GOP minority in the next Senate.Hmmmm.....Acting like a real dictator during his Royal holiday at taxpayer expence.Read the full story here.

  • Obama bypasses Senate, appoints envoy to Syria.US President Barack Obama has bypassed the US Senate and directly appointed four new ambassadors, including Robert Ford, who will become the first US envoy to Syria since 2005.Specific senators had blocked or refused to consider the confirmations of the nominees for various reasons, including questions about their qualifications. But in the most high-profile case, that of the new envoy to Syria, a number of senators objected because they believed sending an ambassador to the country would reward it for bad behavior."Making undeserved concessions to Syria tells the regime in Damascus that it can continue to pursue its dangerous agenda and not face any consequences from the US," Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the incoming chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a statement. "That is the wrong message to be sending to a regime which continues to harm and threaten US interests and those of such critical allies as Israel."Hmmmmm....."They don't trust me because of my middle name"?Read the full story here.
