• Man arrested for murdering wife, daughter for Dishonour.LAHORE: Ghaziabad police arrested a person who was accused of murdering his wife and daughter in the name of honour on Tuesday.According to the police, after killing his wife, a mother of seven, the accused had hid her body in a cattle shed. Police recovered the body, and arrested him. The murder weapons, a hammer and a meat cleaver were also recovered. The accused confessed that he had killed his wife on suspicion of having illicit relations with some other man. He also confessed that he had killed his daughter three months back.Ghaziabad police SHO, Atif Zulfiqar said that after receiving information of a murder of a woman, he deputed three policemen to probe the matter and to arrest the accused. During the initial investigation, he said, the accused confessed that he had killed his daughter Surayya, 17, three months back because of the same suspicion. Zulfiqar said Surayya’s body was also recovered from the cattle shed. On the complaint of Khushi Muhammad, the father-in-law of the accused, the police registered an FIR of a double murder against the accused.Hmmmmm.......There is no Honor in Murder!Read the full story here.Karo-kari is part of the cultural tradition in Pakistan and means "black male" (Karo) and "black female (Kari), standing for adulterer and adulteress. Once labeled as a Kari, male family members get the self-authorized justification to kill her and the co-accused Karo, 'to restore family honor'. In Pakistan’s rural areas, male tribal councils (Jirgas) decide the fate of women who bring dishonor to their family. This centuries old custom for dealing with women is protected by powerful feudal landlords and tribal elders. In 2009, 472 cases of honour killings were reported - 91 in Punjab; 220 in Sindh; 32 in NWFP; 127 in Balochistan; 2 in Islamabad. Tragically, only in the rarest cases are the perpetrators brought to justice. Undocumented and unreported killings in the name of honour are often bolstered by governmental indifference, discriminatory laws and negligence on the part of Pakistan’s police force and judiciary. • HT:Debka.Under threat of Hariri Tribunal, Hizballah practices Shiite takeover of Beirut.Early Tuesday, Jan. 18, thousands of followers of the two Lebanese Shiite organizations, Hizballah and Amal, unarmed but clad in black uniforms, took up positions in seven Beirut districts. By the time the first Lebanese army units reached the streets, the city's traffic was tied up and several schools and government institutions were unable to open their doors.That evening, the Shiite loyalists were ordered to withdraw. They had proved the Shiites of Hassan Nasrllah's Hizballah and Amal (led by Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri) were capable of seizing control of the capital's main quarters. That night, high-ranking Hizballah sources declared confidently: "Time for talking is over, it is time for action now. The other camp wants confrontation, so be it."That this was no idle boast was shown by several black-uniformed Shiites who reappeared in parts of Beirut Wednesday, Jan. 19.This was the Lebanese Shiites' concerted response to the gauntlet thrown down Tuesday, Jan. 18 by them.The registrar also stated Tuesday: "The pretrial judge is very keen to move the process forward as fast as possible."This means that Fransen will make an effort to hand down his decision on the indictments within 6-10 weeks, much earlier than the several months originally reported, according to debkafile's sources. The court realizes that the longer the court process, the deeper Lebanon will sink into crisis.Von Hebel also referred to the joint effort Syrian president Bashar Assad, Turkish premier Recep Erdogan and the Qatari emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani were making in Beirut for a compromise that would free the Lebanese government of its commitment to honor the international tribunal's warrants and contribute to its funding. The registrar said: "We know for sure it is not easy to get accused persons arrested. The problem with international tribunals is that they do not have a police force. We are dependent on the cooperation of states."He then remarked: "The tribunal's budget is $65.7 million for 2011 should not be affected by the collapse of the Lebanese government which is obliged to pay 49 percent. The sense is that if King Abdullah had his way, he would end discrimination and fully integrate the Saudi Shiites. But the king faces an ongoing dilemma that presents no immediate solution: if he appeases the Shiites, he risks the wrath of Wahhabi extremists and the religious establishment; if he doesn’t, the Shiites will remain a thorn in his side.The exponential growth in Iranian influence in the region makes Abdullah’s task that much harder. Beyond the struggle for regional hegemony between Tehran and Riyadh, Abdullah’s Shiite problem has grown because Iran is contesting the leadership of world Islam. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health. Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012. Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie's spokeswoman in Honolulu, ignored again today another in a series of repeated requests made by WND for an interview with the governor. Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?" In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."Suggesting he was still intent on producing more birth records on Obama from the Hawaii Department of Health vital records vault, Abercrombie told the newspaper there was a recording of the Obama birth in the state archives that he wants to make public.Abercrombie did not report to the newspaper that he or the Hawaii Department of Health had found Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate. The governor only suggested his investigations to date had identified an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives. "It was actually written, I am told, this is what our investigation is showing, it actually exists in the archives, written down," Abercrombie said. For seemingly the first time, Abercrombie frankly acknowledged that presidential politics motivated his search for Obama birth records, implying that failure to resolve the questions that remain unanswered about the president's birth and early life may damage his chance for re-election.Hmmm......Am i the only one who remembers this:"That statement from Okubo contradicted CNN U.S. President Jon Klein, who ordered host Lou Dobbs to quit discussing Obama's birth certificate on the air. • Turkey to be involved in Iran talks if needed.Another challenge to Turkey in balancing the interests of its Western allies and its Eastern neighbors is coming as Istanbul is set to host a second round of nuclear talks between Iran and six world powers. Although Turkey's role has officially been limited to hosting the talks, the possibility of active Turkish involvement in the facilitation of the talks should not be excluded, diplomatic sources say.Turkey recently found itself squeezed between France and Iran while looking for a way to solve the government crisis in Lebanon. It is set to again face a similar challenge in balancing the interests of its Western allies and its Eastern neighbor, as Istanbul is set to host talks on Tehran's nuclear program.Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu is expected to host a dinner Thursday night prior to the majority of the talks and Turkish involvement in the talks will be limited to strictly hosting the event, EU Foreign Affairs chief Catherine Ashton said last week when she was in Istanbul in preparation of the talks.“The Turkish position is clear. Foreign Minister Davutoğlu will host the dinner and then go to his room and wait if there is a need for his intervention. He won't get involved unless he is asked to,” a well-informed diplomatic source told the Hürriyet Daily News & Economic Review.However, the likelihood of Davutoğlu’s inaction is very slight. Few expect him to sit and wait in his room, not only because of his eagerness mediate but also because Iran wants greater Turkish involvement.“We know that Iran wants to get us involved in their favor. But we will not fall into that trap,” said a Turkish official. Apparently Muslim-Christian outreach and understanding is only one-sided. He then goes to the mosque and performs his prayers. When they finish their rites, he drives them back home. Of course he doesn't always do this, but he does do it sometimes. At times he also drives Christian dance teams, who are performing some rites associated with Christian holidays. What is the ruling on all of this?Fatwa: Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the prophet of Allah, and on his family and companions, etc.It is not permissible for this man to drive Christians to their churches, nor to drive those who dance on their holidays. For if the Christians are confessing their religion, it is not permissible to support them in their vain and perverted rites and religion. This is according to the saying of the Most High: "Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour" [Qur'an 5:2]. • Philly Abortion Doctor Facing 8 Counts Of Murder.A West Philadelphia abortion doctor, his wife and eight other suspects are now under arrest following a grand jury investigation.Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 69, faces eight counts of murder in the deaths of a woman following a botched abortion at his office, along with the deaths of seven other babies who, prosecutors allege, were born alive following illegal late-term abortions and then were killed by severing their spinal cords with a pair of scissors.“I am aware that abortion is a hot-button topic,” said District Attorney Seth Williams. “But as District Attorney, my job is to carry out the law. A doctor who knowingly and systematically mistreats female patients, to the point that one of them dies in his so-called care, commits murder under the law. A doctor who cuts into the necks severing the spinal cords of living, breathing babies, who would survive with proper medical attention, is committing murder under the law.”Gosnell is facing Murder in the 3rd Degree for the death of 41-year-old Karnamaya Mongar. Mrs. Mongar died on November 20, 2009 when she was overdosed with anesthetics prescribed by Gosnell. He is also facing seven Murder charges for the deaths of infants who were killed after being born viable and alive during the 6th, 7th and 8th month of pregnancy. Gosnell is also facing numerous other charges.Gosnell is suspected of killing hundreds of living babies over the course of his 30 year practice. • Trumka to push Obama on State of the Union message.Working Americans are waiting on President Obama to lay out a bold plan for investing in jobs and infrastructure, a top labor leader will warn Wednesday. AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka is set to lay down a marker for the Obama administration ahead of next week's State of the Union address by urging the president to lean on expansive spending initiatives to fuel the economic recovery. "Next week the president of the United States will give his State of the Union address," Trumka will say at a speech at the National Press Club, according to prepared remarks. "The labor movement is ready for a call to action, a call to invest in our future, to create jobs, to be the country we can and must be."“When we are reduced to competing to cut spending instead of deciding how to compete in the world economy and secure our future, then we are having the wrong conversation," Trumka will say."Here in Washington, we live in an Alice-in-Wonderland political climate. We have a jobs crisis that after three years is still raging, squeezing families, devastating our poorest communities and stunting the futures of young adults," Trumka will say. Originating in the city of Luton in England, where a substantial, radicalized Muslim population has been linked to various terror plots and fomented demonstrations against British troops returning from Iraq, the EDL has taken its premonitory message to Europe and North America. A rally was held on January 11, 2011 in Toronto, hosted by the Jewish Defense League (JDL). Predictably, it was met by “pacifist” protesters, associated with several anti-Zionist and ostensibly anti-racist groups, chanting such peaceable slogans as “EDL—go to Hell” and “Smash, Smash, Smash EDL”—and, yes, initiating pockets of violence requiring police intervention. So it goes. Although defamed as a “neo-fascist organization” responsible for targeting “all Muslim people simply for being who they are,” nothing could be further from the case. The EDL warns of a dark and troubling future in which Shari’a courts become part of Western legal systems, no-go zones spread through our cities, and Islamic violence increasingly becomes a norm of daily life. In effect, the EDL sees Luton as the potential face of 21rst century Europe and a harbinger of the destabilization of Canada and the United States. This is a message that does not sit well with militant left-wing organizations, such as Unite Against Fascism in the U.K., so-called Human Rights groups such as the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty and the ridiculously named Queers Against Israeli Apartheid in Canada, and even the TSA in the U.S.The truth, as Rochelle Michaels points out in a recent article on the subject, is that “corrupt EU governments and politicians” have become advocates for Islam, that “Marxists in the mainstream press…continually whitewash the truth about Islamic Fascism,” as do academics in our universities, and that “roving gangs of Islamic thugs are wreaking havoc…in every EU country.” And indeed, the street clashes laid at the door of the EDL, as Michaels indicates, are generally ignited by leftists and Islamists attacking EDL demonstrators, often with the complicity of the police who “turn a blind eye” to what is actually taking place—a frequent occurrence in Britain. • Two mothers and their toddler children banned from council-funded playgroup - for being BRITISH.Two mothers who were kicked out of a council-funded playgroup spoke of their humiliation today after being told the group was for immigrant families only.Emma Knightley, 25, and Kimberley Wildman, 27, turned up at the 'Making Links' playgroup with their children Imogen, 21 months, and Olivia, 18 months. But they were stunned when organisers at the centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ordered them to leave after demanding to know 'what country are you from?' The best friends were told that only foreign mothers and their children are welcome at the council-funded playgroup - which they have accused of discrimination.Shop worker Emma, who lives in St Neots, booked a place at the playgroup six weeks ago after it was recommended by a mixed-race friend. She said: 'The first thing I was asked about was my nationality and when I said I was British I was told we had to leave. 'She said are you not aware this is for foreign people only? 'I said I knew it was trying to integrate people into the community but didn't realise that meant British people and their children were banned. 'I felt humiliated. It shouldn't matter what nationality you are we shouldn't be discriminated against. 'You wouldn't get away with a British-only mum and children's group.'We want to welcome other nations to the community but turning British people away is not the way to do this.' Trainee midwife Kimberley, also from St Neots, chose the group because it was free - whereas other groups in the area charged £2. She said: 'They asked me what race I was and I said British. They said I couldn't come in. It's ridiculous.Roger Owen, administrator for Making Links, said that the group is not a 'typical' playgroup and is funded entirely for women from other nationalities.He said: 'We believe there are plenty of other alternatives for British mothers in the town.'We have had an issue with men turning up before and back then we told them the group is strictly for mothers so it's nothing to do with racial discrimination.'According to the Equality and Human Rights Commission website, under the Equality Act 2010 it is not unlawful to set up a group especially for a particular ethnic or national group. Some stocks have lost 50% of their value. As a whole, the losses sustained by the Egyptian bourse in the last few days are estimated at $4.3 billion. According to al-Khattab, Jones was only 19 years old at the time.Now the Palm Bay Fl boy with multiple names is going by Abdullah Ali Jones and claims to be living in Boston MA after leaving the violent Revolution Muslim group in New York City.The Revolution Muslim group supports violence in order to create a global Islamic state. On several occasions, Yousef al-Khattab, or Revolution Muslim under his leadership, posted online statements that included implicit, if not explicit, threats, particularly against religious Jews. For example, on October 7, 2009, RM posted to its Web site a poem by al-Khattab in which he asked God to “kill the Jews.” In the poem, which coincided with the Jewish holiday of Sukkoth, al-Khattab listed ways Jews could be hurt, including by burning “their flammable sukkos while they sleep” and throwing “liquid drain cleaner in their faces.”Hmmmm....Sounds and looks a lot more wacko then the last wacko we had in the news.Maybe one day Homeland security may stumble over him?Come to think of it should i call Wall Mart now?Read the full story here.

Being the good little Bobcat alum that I am, bleeding green and white, I like to keep up with the latest news at my alma mater.Sadly, when I found out that OU was going to let male and female students live as roommates as a social experiment, I wasn’t surprised.The pilot program, which is termed “gender-neutral housing” was pitched as an accommodation to the fleeting minority of Bobcats who are transgendered, according to Mickey Hart, director of OU’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Center. In four dormitories, 50 dorm rooms in each building will be available to upperclassmen wishing to live with an individual of the opposite sex. Freshmen wishing to participate in the social experiment will be allowed to do so by special request.Naturally, OU’s administrators see absolutely no way that turning dormitories full of hormonal, emotionally immature kids barely out of high school into school-sanctioned love shacks can go wrong. OU’s Vice President for Student Affairs, Kent Smith, said that the program “[doesn't] encourage those who are in a dating relationship to apply [to live together], but that “it’s a possibility” that students may do so.While fans of co-ed dormitories may argue that this is a big win for tolerance, they neglect to mention that these special privileges aren’t extended to other, less politically-correct “minority groups.” For example, should conservative students at OU start demanding special housing, to protect them from harassment in the dorm rooms, by the majority? Should Seventh-Day Adventist students ask for members-only housing, to protect them from perceived, potential discrimination at the hands of the majority?Obviously, the answer is no. The world can be a rough place, and even if all of this supposed bigotry and dormitory intolerance happens at the Berkeley on the Hocking, people should learn how to positively deal with it. • And now something completely different!What McDonald's chicken nuggets really contain!It seems Melodi Dushane of Toledo, Ohio, wasn't concerned about dimethyl polysiloxane or tertiary butylhydroquinone in her Chicken McNuggets, or about the allegation that they were made of 56 per cent corn. Even though it was 6:30 a.m., she had to have them. When told the nuggets were not available at that time of the morning, Dushane went into a frenzy and began to pummel the drive-thru employee before smashing a window with a beer bottle and driving off.Latreasa Goodman of Florida took a different approach when told that her McDonald's had run out of Chicken McNuggets. When the server offered a hamburger instead, she became so enraged that she proceeded to dial 911 to report a fast food "emergency."Although these two ladies needed their nugget fix, others may be horrified by the thought of eating a concoction that is more corn than chicken, is tainted with lighter fluid, has an ingredient in common with Silly Putty and is full of chemicals with unpronounceable names. These accusations circulate widely, promoted by the usual array of Internet fear-mongers such as Joseph Mercola, but also by people who really should know better, such as Michael Pollan, author of the bestselling Omnivore's Dilemma.Before we go any farther, let me make clear that I am no fan of processed foods. The number of times I've eaten chicken nuggets can be counted on the toes of one chicken.
