  • Japan - Latest official Situation Update No. 80.On 08.04.2011 at 15:47 GMT+2

A "significant difference" was noted by Japanese officials Tuesday after an attempt to cork the leak of 5,700 tons of radioactive water released into the ocean to raise the radiation level 7.5 million times above the average. With the injection of silica based polymer known as liquid gas, the Tokyo Electric Company claims that the radiation levels were reducing the amount of radiation leaked into the sea. Despite claims, the substance did not harden as hoped and the material was instead pumped from below the shaft and into the No. 2 reactor. The company also complied data that the radiation levels released a few dozen meters from the leak and consisted with their belief that the spill would have little effect on sea life in the Pacific Ocean. Even in the densest spots the radiation levels are several hundred thousand times above the legal limit and the Japanese nuclear safety agency say that cannot make the claim on how much exact water is being released from the reactor. As this latest development has wrapped the minds of the Japanese government, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said the presence of radioactive iodine in one sample of the freshest caught fish was enough to regulate the sale of seafood in the country for the first time.

Fishing has been prohibited within 12 miles of Fukushima Daiichi where there was previously no restriction on seafood, milk products or locally grown vegetables. On the brighter side according to Japanese reports is that airborne radiation appears to be falling around northeastern Japan. Data gathered measured 15 kilometers from the plant showed iodine levels at 2 and 3.7 times the legal standard, with levels of a lasting cesium isotope base well below the limit. Also the conditions at the Fukushima Daiichi plant reveals that the reactors and nuclear fuel pools are average. The fear that the No. 5 and No. 6 units could rise and short out power for unit's nuclear fuel for cooling systems. However these problems are not occurring at the same place or with the same level of severity as it were apparent weeks ago. Still the pressing dilemma is still the issue that authorities still are unaware of exactly how the water got contaminated in the first place or how the possible rifts inside the reactor will be fixed. The Japanese government will continue to have problems related to radioactive water and the pressure to dump some of its water will be avoided if the injection amounts are large enough to prevent fuels from overheating in the reactor.
Situation Update No. 79.On 08.04.2011 at 03:30 GMT+2

Waters leaks were found at Onagawa nuclear plant in northeast Japan after a strong aftershock hit Japan on Thursday, but there has been no change in radiation levels outside the plant, Tohoku Electric Power , the operator of the plant, said. The operator said water leaked out of spent fuel pools of the plant's reactor 1 and 2, and other parts of the plant.

Situation Update No. 78. On 08.04.2011 at 03:23 GMT+2

The Japanese government might issue evacuation advice to those in areas beyond the 30-kilometre radius around a damaged nuclear power plant, news reports said Friday. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano told a news conference Thursday that nuclear experts were discussing the levels of cumulative radiation to determine which evacuation instructions should be issued, Jiji Press reported Friday. Tokyo had already told residents within 20 kilometres of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant to evacuate following radiation leaks from the station, which was crippled by the March 11 earthquake and ensuing tsunami. Residents in areas 20-30 kilometres from the plant have been advised to leave voluntarily. They had been previously instructed to stay indoors. The government said the current evacuation standards are based on the assumption that the plant would spew massive amounts of radiation in a short period of time. So the government had not taken into account effects of long-term cumulative radiation, Jiji reported. Source .

  • Japan - Onagawa plant in Miyagi prefecture. Situation Update No. 1
On 09.04.2011 at 03:44 GMT+2

In Japan, as a result of yesterday’s earthquake, officials said a second nuclear facility has experienced radiation leaks. At the Onagawa plant in Miyagi prefecture, radioactive water spilled out of spent fuel pools. Reuters, quoting a Tohoku Electric Power spokesperson, reports that radiation levels rose slightly inside the plant but no increases were measured outside. Japan was hit by a 7.1 magnitude quake yesterday. So far, three people are reported dead and dozens injured. At the Fukushima plant workers were evacuated but Tokyo Electronic Power Company initially said there was no further damage to the facility and today the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that no changes in radiation readings have been observed. Denis Flory, is the International Atomic Energy Agency’s head of Nuclear safety: “Our estimation of the situation at the Fukushima Daiichi Plant remains very serious, although there are early signs of recovery in some functions, such as electrical power and instrumentation.” But technicians are still struggling to reduce the temperature of the damaged reactors and are continuing to dump radioactive water into the sea to make room for more radioactive water from the basement of the number 2 reactor. Technicians are also injecting non-flammable nitrogen into the Number 1 reactor containment shell to counter a hydrogen buildup. Hydrogen explosions days after the March earthquake damaged the reactor buildings and caused radiation leaks. Source .

  • Clashes erupt around Cairo's Tahrir Square.Hundreds of protesters demanding that Hosni Mubarak, the former Egyptian president, be put on trial for alleged corruption, have retaken Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square, hours after security forces attempted to disperse them, in a clash that killed at least one person.By 7am (local time) on Saturday morning, army and central security troops appeared to have withdrawn, leaving the square to protesters who set vehicles on fire and began setting up barricades made of furniture and left-behind barbed wire."The number of protesters remaining in the square is swelling, as news [of the clashes] spreads through the city," reported Mike Hanna, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Cairo.Hundreds of army and security forces troops had stormed the square earlier, in an attempt to disperse the thousands of protesters. In scenes reminiscent of the violent 18-day uprising that ousted longtime President Mubarak in February, protesters and riot police threw rocks at each other, and security forces responded by firing tear gas, witnesses said.Egypt's health ministry said that one person was killed and 71 injured after those clashes. The military had earlier denied that anyone was hurt or killed in the raid of the square. The military in a statement released through the state MENA news agency, said that security forces were attempting to enforce a 2am to 5am (local time) curfew."Elements from the interior ministry along with some noble citizens confronted the riotous actions and enforced the curfew without any losses," the statement read. "The armed forces stress that they will not tolerate any acts of rioting or any act that harms the interest of the country and the people."A separate statement carried on the military's Facebook page blamed "remnants" of Mubarak's National Democratic Party for the clashes, and ordered the arrest of four party members it accused of "thuggery" during the sit-in.Hundreds of soldiers and security troops backed by armoured vehicles stormed into the square at around 3am on Saturday, firing shots into the air, brandishing tasers and batons, and beating people, witnesses said.Tens of thousands of protesters had flooded into the square on Friday in one of the largest demonstrations since Mubarak stepped down on February 11.The protesters called for the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which nows runs the country, to honour their demands, which include prosecuting a number of former high-ranking regime officials and Mubarak himself.Read  and see the full story here.

  • Congress Strikes a Budget Deal to Avert Shutdown, Cutting $38.5B.Congressional leaders, with barely an hour to go before a federal government, announced late Friday night they had reached a deal to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year. The deal includes $38.5 billion in spending cuts while leaving the more contention policy matters, such as blocking funding for Planned Parenthood, for a later debate. The Senate passed a short-term spending measure Friday night to buy lawmakers the time needed to prepare and pass the final budget bill next week. The House passed the measure early Saturday, which will be signed by President Obama when he receives it, according to senior administration officials."This agreement between Democrats and Republicans on behalf of all Americas is a budget that invests in our future while making the largest spending cut in our history," Obama said in a short speech to the nation after the deal had been announced."Today Americans of different beliefs came together again."Shortly after midnight, White House budget director Jacob Lew issued a memo instructing the government's departments and agencies to continue their normal operations.Of the $38.5 billion in spending cuts to Obama's original 2011 budget proposal, the short-term stopgap measure contains the first $2 billion and the final budget bill will cut the other $36.5 billion.Boehner said the agreement came after "a lot of discussion and a long fight," and he won an ovation from his rank and file."We fought to keep government spending down because it really will be a jobs creator for our country," Boehner said.On Friday, senior administration officials said Obama made it clear to his staff that he wanted them to stay out of the limelight and let the legislative process work. He urged them to avoid making comments that would hamper a potential deal.It was a remarkable end to a roller-coaster week of negotiations, in which the government several times seemed headed for a shutdown because the two sides couldn't agree on a full-year budget.Hmmmm........Poor excuse for leadership caving in to a dictator.Read the full story here.

  • Debt Jumped $54.1 Billion in 8 Days Preceding Obama-Boehner Deal to Cut $38.5 Billion for Rest of Year.(CNSNews.com) - The federal debt increased $54.1 billion in the eight days preceding the deal made by President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) to cut $38.5 billion in federal spending for the remainder of fiscal year 2011, which runs through September. The debt was $14.2101 trillion on March 30, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and $14.2642 on April 7.Since the beginning of the fiscal year on Oct. 1, 2010, the national debt has increase by $653.4 billion. • House Votes to Repeal Regs on Internet Access.Washington (AP) - House Republicans adamant that the government keep its hands off the Internet passed a bill Friday to repeal federal rules barring Internet service providers from blocking or interfering with traffic on their networks.Republicans, in voting to repeal rules on "network neutrality" set down by the Federal Communications Commission, said the FCC lacked the authority to promulgate the rules. They disputed the need to intervene in an already open Internet and warned that the rules would stifle investment in broadband systems."The FCC power grab would allow it to regulate any interstate communication service on barely more than a whim and without any additional input from Congress," said Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., sponsor of the legislation. The Internet, he added, "is open and innovative thanks to the government's hands-off approach."But in what has become a largely partisan battle, the Democrat-controlled Senate is not expected to go along with the House. Sen. John D. Rockefeller, D-W.Va., chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, said he was "disappointed that House leadership wants to undo the integrity of the FCC's process and unravel their good work."Even if it cleared Congress, the White House has threatened to veto a bill it said puts in doubt whether "the democratic spirit of the Internet will remain intact."Rep. Henry Waxman of California, top Democrat on the Energy and Commerce Committee, said nullifying the FCC rules would "give big phone and cable companies control over what websites Americans can visit, what applications they can run and what devices they can use."The vote to pass the bill, mainly along party lines, was 240-179.The FCC rules were adopted on a 3-2 vote last December after years of debate over the federal role in ensuring a free and open Internet. The FCC's three Democrats voted in support and its two Republicans opposed.A year ago a federal appeals court also ruled that the FCC exceeded its authority in sanctioning Comcast Corp. for discriminating against online file-sharing traffic Comcast said was clogging its network. The rules prohibit phone and cable companies from favoring or discriminating against Internet content and services, including online calling services such as Skype and Web video services such as Netflix that could compete with their core operations. They require broadband providers to let subscribers access all legal online content. They do give providers flexibility to manage data on their systems to deal with network congestion and unwanted traffic as long as they publicly disclose those practices. They do not specifically ban "paid prioritization," where a provider might charge more for faster transmission of data, but they outlaw "unreasonable network discrimination."Wireless carriers are also barred from blocking access to any websites or competing services, but they are given more leeway to manage data traffic because wireless systems have less network bandwidth.Hmmmm......Democracy  1 - Dictatorship 0 !Read the full story here.

  • Police search for suspect in Santa Monica synagogue explosion.Police release a photo of the suspect, Ron Hirsch, 60, also known as Israel Fisher, saying they thought he was behind Thursday's blast outside Chabad House.Police on Friday were searching for the suspect in a Santa Monica synagogue explosion that authorities had earlier believed to be an accidental blast.Santa Monica police released a photograph of the short and heavyset suspect, Ron Hirsch, 60, also known as Israel Fisher, saying they thought he was behind Thursday morning's blast outside Chabad House on 17th Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Boulevard. Police described Hirsch as a transient."Hirsch should be considered extremely dangerous," said a police bulletin sent to other law enforcement agencies. He is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 207 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. The bulletin said Hirsch was known to frequent synagogues and Jewish community centers in search of charity, among them Congregation Bais Yehuda on North La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. The blast sent a 300-pound metal pipe encased in concrete hurtling through the air and crashing through the roof of a home next door to Chabad House. Originally authorities had said they believed the explosion was a freak industrial accident. But on Friday, bomb technicians and detectives scouring the scene discovered evidence that the blast was caused by an explosive device, police said. Items found nearby were linked to Hirsch, who was being sought on state charges of possession of a destructive device and other charges. The motive for the attack was unknown, police said. Joining local authorities in investigating the case were the FBI and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. On Friday afternoon, the Anti-Defamation League issued a security alert to synagogues and other Jewish organizations in the Los Angeles area."ADL has no information regarding a specific threat against any Jewish institution," the league announced in the alert. "However, community members should be extra vigilant."Amanda Susskind, the league's Los Angeles regional director, said in an interview that the alert was "not intended to create panic or a drama," but rather to keep people on the outlook for a man who seems to be disturbed. She also said there was no indication that the suspect was part of a terrorist plot.Read the full story here.

  • Pakistan: Man booked under blasphemy law for defiling Bible.LAHORE: In apparent retaliation of the burning of the Holy Quran in Florida, a Muslim youngster on Friday tore into pieces a copy of the Bible at the entrance of a Lahore church and also tried to burn it before being caught red-handed.The incident happened outside Saint Joseph’s Church, situated on Lawrence Road, as Christians were busy in their religious services ahead of Good Friday.Police told The Express Tribune that the youth, identified as Akhtar Hussain, went berserk when security detail stopped him from entering the church premises and started tearing the Christians’ holy book.Sources in the Civil Lines Police Station said they have registered an FIR against the accused under section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested him. The offender, if convicted, could be jailed for 10 years.Police said the accused was a resident of Kasur and worked in a factory at Sue Asil, near Lahore. According to the FIR No 314/20011, the accused bought the holy book from Yuhna Abad, a Christian-majority area, and reached Lahore to give vent to his anti-Christian feelings.During preliminary investigation, the man confessed that he offered Zohr prayers at Masjid-e-Shuhada, and reached the church’s gate which is a few yards away from the mosque, officials said. They added that thrice he tried to enter the church but could not because of tight security. They said he had plans to defile the book by tearing it in the main hall of the church where religious service was ongoing. As these are Christians’ fasting days, they observe their religious rituals every Friday. The police officials quoted him as saying that he preferred to be killed for the sake of Islam. He told investigators that he had committed the act in retaliation of the burning of the Holy Quran in Florida and silence of Pakistani government over it. Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Cap (retd) Liaqat Ali Malik said that by timely arresting him, the police have averted Muslim-Christian clash. He said he would be presented before the court on Saturday (today) to take his remand for further investigation.Head of Masiha Millat Party (MMP) Aslam Sahotra said the man committed the outrage to hurt the religious sentiments of Christians. He said some Christians, while on their way to the church, overpowered him as he defiled the holy book. They gave him a good thrashing and took him inside the church..Saleem Gabriel, former member of District Council and president MMP Punjab, said the police deliberately did not make them complainant in the FIR. He said the police tried to favour the accused by becoming complainant themselves.Hmmmm......Now just try to imagine if this would have happened with a Koran, would autorities have been so easy?Read the full story here.

  • Russia wants 'red button' rights for US missile defence system. A top Kremlin official has told the United States Russia wants "red button" rights to a new US-backed missile defence system for Europe, a move that would allow it to influence the shield's day-to-day operational use.Sergey Ivanov, Russia's deputy prime minister, made the controversial demand during a visit to the United States where he met with top officials including Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State. "We insist on only one thing," he said of the nascent US-backed missile defence shield. "That we are an equal part of it." "In practical terms, that means that our office will sit for example in Brussels and agree on a red-button push to launch an interceptor missile, regardless of whether the missile is launched from Poland, Russia or the UK." Russia has been pushing hard for a prominent role in the new missile shield for months but with little noticeable success as Washington and its allies remain deeply sceptical of Russia's reliability as a political and military partner. The United States has said the new shield is needed to protect Europe and itself from long-range missile attacks from rogue states such as Iran. But Russia has argued that the new system will blunt its own nuclear deterrent. It has threatened to beef up its own nuclear forces if it is excluded or granted only a junior role in the project.Robert Gates, the US defence secretary, tried to pacify the Kremlin last month by offering to share information about the new system and by offering to build a joint data centre. But Russian government officials have since made it clear that such a compromise does not go far enough. President Barack Obama diluted Washington's original plans to build a missile defence shield around facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic in the face of fierce Russian opposition.Hmmmm....Don't you feel much safer now that both Iran's henchman Turkey and Russia want the control button, who needs enemies anymore?Read the full story here.

  • Israel - South under fire; IDF hits terrorists.Major escalation overnight as terrorists target southern cities: Iron Dome intercepts rockets fired at Beersheba, Ofakim, three missiles land south of Kiryat Gat. Air Force bombs Rafah vehicle, three Hamas men killed.Fire continues into night: The Iron Dome anti-rocket system intercepted several Grad rockets fired at Beersheba, southern Israel’s largest city, and at the town of Ofakim early Saturday.Five residents in both cities were lightly hurt while rushing to local bomb shelters after the anti-rocket siren was activated. Four of them were taken to hospital for treatment. The first rocket aimed at Beersheba was shot down at about 12:30 am. At least two rockets were intercepted around 3:20 am.Meanwhile, the IDF continued to target terrorists, killing three Hamas members after firing at their vehicle in the city of Rafah. Palestinian sources said two of those killed were senior members of Izz al-Din al-Qassam, Hamas’ military wing. The three were identified as regiment commander Muhammad Abu Snima, platoon commander Mohammad Awaja, and Shadi Zatame. The army later confirmed the reports, saying three Hamas commanders were killed in an Air Force strike. The IDF Spokesman’s Office said the three terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the army and Shin Bet security service. Some Beersheba residents reported that the bomb shelters they headed to were locked, a complaint voiced in the past. Shelters in the city are only opened in times of emergency in line with the IDF’s Home Front Command’s orders. Ynet received hundreds of Red Mails reporting a loud blast in the city, with other residents reporting an explosion in the sky a few seconds after the siren was activated. The IDF’s Spokesman’s Office confirmed that Iron Dome intercepted the Grad rocket fired at Beersheba at 12:30 am, marking the sixth time the advanced system shot down an incoming missile.Later, Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the rocket strike, saying it fired at Beersheba in response for the “occupation’s crimes.”Read the full story here.

  • HT:Northeast Intelligence Network. The unraveling of Barry Soetoro, a/k/a Barack Hussein Obama II.Both Messrs Trump and Limbaugh have stated that if Obama is determined to be ineligible to hold office, it is the “biggest scam ever” perpetrated. Indeed, and that statement itself might be an understatement.

I urge those reading this and those who are pursuing the truth to avoid “battlefield myopia” and not merely cling to the existence or lack thereof of the long form, authenticated birth certificate. The issue is much greater than the birth certificate or where Obama was physically born, as he could have been born in the Lincoln bedroom during the Kennedy administration and still be ineligible to hold the office of president under Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution. Our founders determined that future presidents must be born to two parents who are both U.S. citizens. Clearly then, the place of Obama’s birth is merely one concern, while the citizen aspect of his parents remains another.

But the scam goes much deeper. Reviewing only the admissions of Barack Obama, we are told that Obama was born to U.S. citizen Stanley Ann Dunham, legally adopted by a foreign national named Lolo Soetoro, had taken the name Barry SOETORO, and was given Indonesian citizenship. He was raised as a Muslim in Indonesia, and attended a school there that accepted all faiths. At one point, Barry SOETORO moved to Hawaii to reside with his grandparents after Lolo SOETORO and Stanley Ann DUNHAM divorced. Obama completed high school as Barry SOETORO Much is missing from his early years, including a legal name change from Barry SOETORO to Barack Hussein Obama II. Absent of any document to show the legal process of a name change within the U.S., it is likely that the man sitting in the Oval Office is, in fact, Barry SOETORO.

The above would also serve to explain the discrepancies with his social security number and region of issuance, a matter we are very familiar with in our capacity as licensed investigators. The reasons we have seen published concerning the allegations of the association of multiple social security numbers with Barry SOETORO and Barack Hussein OBAMA has always bothered us, but not necessarily for the reasons often published. After careful and extensive analysis, it appears that many of the numbers and name variations associated with Obama are what we would describe as “database chaff.” It is not uncommon for database repositories to erroneously associate different numbers, addresses and sometimes names to an individual. The reasons for this are many and beyond the scope of this article, but it happens.

Accordingly, an investigator is well advised not to take the information obtained from a proprietary database at face value without first analyzing the information, tossing out the chaff and concentrating on the rest, which we have done. Additionally, we have found and concur with others on this matter that the social security number associated with Obama that was issued from the SSA region in Connecticut is troublesome, but again, not necessarily for the reasons as publicly stated by others.

As we have been investigating this matter for some time (see our investigative report 1 and report 2 in PDF format for important background information), it has become apparent that at some point, the individual known as Barry SOETORO began using the name Barack Hussein Obama II. Based on our investigative findings, it was at about this same time period that the Connecticut issuance of the social security number appeared and became “attached” to the name Barack Hussein Obama. It can then be reasonably reconciled that Barry SOETORO became Barack Hussein Obama while he was a young man in New York following his mysterious trip to Pakistan on a passport that was likely not issued by the U.S.

Based on investigative findings that are not discussed in the media, it would appear that the selection and election of Barack Hussein Obama was indeed the greatest scams ever pulled off against the American people. The above provides just a small portion of the critical issues surrounding Obama’s eligibility, identity and his place in U.S. and world history. The story is much larger than a single piece of paper, but that paper, if properly authenticated, will serve as the thread that will unravel the larger tangled web of the Obama legend. To those who have just awakened to the constitutional crisis we are facing at the hands of this president, we’d like to say once again, “welcome to the party, pal.”Please read the full story  here.

  • HT:capitalgainsandgames. The Shutdown Problem This September is Going to be Even Worse.Just a quick note...No matter what happens today with the government shutdown, the situation is going to be even more difficult this September when the House, Senate, and White House fight over the 2012 appropriations. The House GOP is likely to propose even larger appropriations reductions in next year's budget than it did for fiscal 2011 and the battle will be far more intense. This especially will be the case if (1) the tea party wing of the GOP doesn't get what it wants on the 2011 appropriations and feels that it needs to make a stand on 2012, and (2) if House Speaker John Boehner thinks he has to make a stand on 2012 spending to show the tea party he doesn't deserve a primary opponent.
In other words...Expect another shutdown threat...or an actual shutdown...in less than 6 months.Hmmmm....That is if we're out of this shutdown by then?Read the full story here.

  • Egyptians march on Israeli embassy.Meanwhile protesters amass once again at Tahrir Square, calling to prosecute Mubarak, family.Egypt's protesters stepped up their challenge to the country's ruling military Friday, as tens of thousands massed demanding it prosecute ousted president Hosni Mubarak and his family for alleged corruption, while a smaller group tested out the army's tolerance with a march on Israel's embassy. The mass rally in Cairo's central Tahrir Square was the biggest by protesters in weeks. A smaller group of more than 1,000 marched on the Israeli Embassy, angered by strikes on the Gaza Strip earlier in the day, and pushed for Egypt's new rulers to close the mission and stop Egypt's natural gas exports to Israel.
The march was the first significant anti-Israeli demonstration since Egypt's upheaval began nearly three months ago, and it was an unusual test of the military, which took power after Mubarak's ouster on Feb. 11. The generals have promised Egyptians greater freedom of expression but at the same time have sought to reassure Israel and its ally the United States that the fall of Mubarak would not mean an anti-Israeli turn in Egypt's foreign policy. At the checkpoint, the crowd waved Palestinian flags and banners that called for Egypt to stop selling natural gas to Israel and close the embassy. Some were members of the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood, who earlier in the day had been leading anti-Israel chants among the crowds in Tahrir and burned an Israeli flag there. "Remove the flag before we remove it!" protesters chanted, referring to the Israeli flag on the top floor of the building. Tanks and armored vehicles, along with armed Egyptian military police, were stationed at the building's entrance. After several hours, the demonstration dwindled. Meanwhile, in Tahrir Square, the crowd shouted, "Execution, execution," as others accused the army of protecting Mubarak and giving immunity to his family, a claim the military denies. On a stage, protesters set up a cage with the pictures of Mubarak, his family and top aides inside. An activist read out charges against them, and the crowd responded, "We testify that Mubarak, his family and their cronies have corrupted Egypt, politically, economically, impoverished the people and committed crimes of torture and killings.""He lives in a palace and our poor still in the shanty towns," one protester chanted in a microphone at the square. "We are not leaving here until Mubarak is on trial," another speaker vowed.Hmmmm.....'Genius' Obama :Israel may benefit from the Arab uprisings.Idiocy or pure sarcasme?Read the full story here.

  • Turkey - Non-Muslim minorities want more protection under law.Non-Muslim intellectuals in Turkey support government plans to replace the current Constitution with a new and civilian one, saying they would like to be protected under a new constitution, rather than relying on the Treaty of Lausanne.According to non-Muslim intellectuals, social peace in Turkey should be ensured by a good constitution, rather than an outdated treaty. Rober KoptaÅŸ, editor-in-chief of Armenian weekly Agos, said non-Muslim minorities do not want their rights to be guaranteed by foreign countries, which he says has negative impacts and repercussions in Turkey.Non-Muslim minorities in Turkey do not want to be seen as “outer constituents whose rights are protected by the Treaty of Lausanne,” said Turkish-Armenian writer and journalist Markar Esayan, adding: “We want no more and no less than this. We want to become simple citizens of Turkey. We want to become citizens of a state we have failed to be close to until now.” Esayan also stated that Turkey has taken bold steps toward destroying a mindset that sees non-Muslims as “internal enemies” or “agents.” “Armenians who want to see themselves as real citizens of Turkey should also work for a new constitution,” he noted.Erol Dora, a lawyer representing the Syriac Christian community of Turkey, said that Turkey’s political will should settle the problems of non-Muslim minorities in order to restore social peace and allow a democratic mindset to dominate the country, but not simply because Europe requires such conditions for full membership in the European Union. The lawyer also said that people were created by God with different traits and disrespecting those traits means opposing the greatness of God.According to Mihail Vasiliadis, editor-in-chief of Apoyevmatini, a weekly Greek newspaper serving the Greek community in Turkey, while a constitution cannot be expected to solve all of society’s problems, the 1982 Constitution of Turkey blocks the settlement of many problems.Hmmmm.....My guess they gone need all the protection they can get!Read the full story here.

  • WikiLeaks: Israel tells US Turkey helps Iran avoid sanctions.Israel believes Turkey is actively helping Iran sidestep economic sanctions and is also turning a blind eye to Iranian weapons smuggling into Syria, according to leaked US diplomatic cables published on Friday. Citing documents obtained by WikiLeaks, the Haaretz newspaper said senior Israeli officials had told the United States that Turkey was moving ever-closer to Iran because it needed Iranian energy supplies and because it was revising its global strategy.Israel used to enjoy excellent relations with Turkey, NATO’s only Muslim member, but these have grown fraught in recent years, with the Jewish state deeply concerned by Ankara’s warm ties with its arch-foe Iran. “[Israeli secret services] said [the] Turkish government is now assisting Iran in by-passing international financial sanctions and is ignoring Iranian weapons smuggling to Syria ... through Turkey,” stated a US cable dated November 2009.The United Nations imposed four rounds of sanctions on Iran in an effort to get Tehran to curtail its ambitious nuclear program, which critics say is aimed at obtaining the atomic bomb. Iran denies this and says it is a civilian energy project.Notes from a meeting with the then-Israeli national security adviser, Uzi Arad, suggested that Israel was gloomy about prospects for improving its once strong relations with Turkey. “[Israel] believes there is little it can do to prevent a further decline in relations with Turkey, but it is trying to preserve what it can by minimizing disputes and seeking gradually escalating diplomatic exchanges,” the cable said.Six months after this document was written, ties between the two countries deteriorated much further after Israeli marines killed nine Turkish activists aboard a boat that was trying to break Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian enclave of Gaza.Israeli officials said Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, sympathized with the Islamist group Hamas, which governs Gaza and refuses to recognize Israel. “The (Israeli spy agency) Mossad thinks the AKP [AK Party] sees historical similarities between Hamas and the early days of their party’s struggle against Turkey’s secular establishment,” the US cable said. “The AKP thinks it can help Hamas become more moderate and mainstream, as the AKP has done,” it added, quoting a senior Israeli army official, Colonel Shimon Arad.Arad also told US diplomats that Turkey did not actively support the smuggling of Iranian weapons via Syria to the Shiite group Hezbollah in Lebanon, but added that Ankara intervened only under specific international pressure. “He suggested that the Turks might be more responsive to US pressure on this issue than they have been to Israeli complaints,” the cable said.Hmmmm.....Get Turkey out of NATO!Read the full story here.

Obama’s cousin Raila Odinga, the current Prime Minister of Kenya was educated in Communist East Germany and named his son after his idol, Fidel Castro Odinga. Odinga came to the US last year and gave the commencement speech at U of Buffalo Law School and was later given the key to the city of Niagara Falls.Check out these connections… and keep in mind that during the 2008 election cycle… Obama was using taxpayer money (while a Senator) to fund Odinga’s campaign and I have link articles that show he was providing advice on how to run the campaign.Hmmmm......"I say my prayers every day"?Read the full story here.

  • HT:Aina."The War on Christianity".Egypt - Three Churches Attacked, Egyptian Military Sides With Radical Muslims. In the last two weeks three attacks on churches were undertaken by Salafis or Islamic Fundamentalists in Egypt. The Salafis demanded churches move to locations outside communities and be forbidden from making repairs, "even if they are so dilapidated that the roofs will collapse over the heads of the congregation," says Father Estephanos Shehata of Samalut Coptic Diocese. The latest of these incidents took place in the village of Kamadeer, in Samalout, Minya province on April 5, which escalated to the point where it was feared the church would be torched and demolished, as was done in the case of St. George and St. Mina Church in village of Soul, Atfif, on March 5 (AINA 3-5-2011). For three days Muslims occupied the entrance to St. John the Beloved Church in the village of Kamadeer with their mats, praying and sleeping there while thousands of village Copts staged a sit-in for three continuous days in front of the Minya governorate building, vowing not to leave until they got their church back. "Even if it takes one year, we will still be here," said Fr. Youssab in the rally. The Coptic demonstrators demanded the reopening of their church and prosecution of the squatters (video of Coptic sit-in).When the priest arrived at St. John the Beloved church on April 5 he found hundreds of Salafis, who told him and the parishioners that arrived for mass they are "not allowed" to pray at this church any longer. The problem started when the heavy rain in January 2011 caused the church, which is built of clay bricks and has a timber roof, to suffer severe cracks. The Copts requested from the military permission for repairs. Last week inspectors from the local council visited the church and confirmed the church is dilapidated and poses a threat to the parishioners and must be repaired."This has angered the Muslims," said attorney Hani Labib from Kamadeer, "who saw the Copts were going to get permission for renovation because of the state of the church. They told us 'we allowed you to pray here, but there is no question of any building work to be done, this will have to be over our dead bodies.'" He added that police officers summoned a number of Copts from the Kamadeer village and ordered them to sign affidavits not to pray at the church in "deference to the wishes its Muslims." But the Copts refused to sign."Salafi Sheikh Mohamad Saleh, called on Muslims to prevent the restoration of the church," said Fr. Estephanos. He added the Muslims said we have to move the church to another location, which was refused. "Because they have built a mosque five meters away from the church, this means that of course the church, which has been there for twelve years, has to move." He said relationships between Copts and Muslims in the village are usually amicable but the Salafis stepped in and incited Muslims from other villages to besiege the church. After several calls to the military governor and the governor of Minya and following several meetings, the problem was resolved "to the satisfaction of the Muslims, as usual," said Coptic activist Wagih Yacoub. On April 7 an "unofficial reconciliation" meeting was held between the two parties, and according to the signed agreement, The Copts are to relocate the church about 200 meters away from the old church and the new mosque, by exchanging plots of land with one of the Coptic parishioners. Although the new plot of land is 550 meters, Copts are allowed to build on only 175 meters. The new church must be one story high and not two as the old one was, and must not have any manifestations of a church, i.e., a dome, a cross or a bell. The military governor and the head of Minya security knew of the details of the agreement. "This will set a precedent in Egypt," said activist Nader Shoukry. "Now this will be used everywhere, since the law is never applied when it comes to Copts. Instead we get those Bedouin 'unofficial reconciliations.'"In a second incident, on Sunday March 27 nearly 500 Salafis, armed with swords, batons and knives, stood in front of St. Mary's church in the Bashtil district of Imbaba, Giza demanding its closure because "this is a Muslim area and no church should be allowed here." They closed the church door and held a number of the parishioners inside, including children. The terrorized Copts called the army to get them out, especially the children, who were traumatized. The military police arrived, freed the congregation and dispersed the Muslim mob, who lurked nearby "to see if they need to attack again in case the Copts returned to the church," said a Coptic witness.St. Mary's church, which serves 800 Christian families, is a prayer hall inside a services center which includes a kindergarten and a free clinic. It had obtained the approval to operate by the disbanded State Security Intelligence (which operates now under the new name of National Security) in December 2010 and which was until the "January 25 Revolution" the only authority responsible for issuing approvals for churches, even if they had a Presidential decree. Two Salafi imams, sheikh Gamal and sheikh Mohammad Farag (an auto mechanic by trade), incited Muslims to carry out this siege by claiming Copts wanted to turn the center into a Church without a proper license. The two priests of the church were taken to the Giza Security Directorate to forge an unofficial "reconciliation." According to Dr. Naguib Ghobrial, head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights, the police told him they took the priests away because of concerns for their safety.A few days before this incident, four Salafis from the neighborhood filed a complaint with the local police claiming "the sound of hymns during mass 'makes their ears ache,'" according to Coptic lawyer Peter el-Naggar. "Fact is the center, which used to be a clothing factory before being bought by the church in 1990, is in the middle of agricultural land."After the reconciliation meeting at the Giza Security Directorate, services at the Bashtil center were halted until the church acquires a license to operate, according to Father Hermina, who is in charge of the center. In the third incident, three days before the Bashtil center incident, St. George's Church in Beni Ahmad, 7 KM south of Minya was also subjected to Muslim intimidation. The 100 year-old church received three years ago an official permit from Minya governorate allowing for the expansion of its eastern side as well as the erection of a social services center within a small plot of land belonging to the church. Three Salafis together with a large crowd of village Muslims visited the church on Wednesday, March 23 and ordered the church officials to stop construction immediately and undo what they had completed, otherwise they would demolish the church after Friday prayers. They also demanded the church priest, Father Georgy Thabet, leave the village with his family.Muslims were invited from all neighboring village to be ready for Friday's demolition if their demands were not met. It was reported the village Coptic youth stood guard inside the church to prevent any Muslim demolition, and Salafis were standing outside church calling for the priest to leave the village as well as hurling insults. Beni Ahmad village has a population of 8,000 Copts and 23,000 Muslims. The Diocese stepped-in and contacted the authorities who in turn asked them to contact the military governor. A meeting was held between representatives from the church, the Salafis, the army and security in Minya. The Salafis requested the demolition of what was built and the departure of the priest and his family. In the end the military told the Copts they cannot interfere in this case. "In other words the authorities have sold the Copts to the Salafis, to do what they like with them and the church," commented local Coptic activist Mariam Ragy. The expansion work has stopped but church services continue with the same priest. The Salafis asked for a "donation" from the church for a so-called kidney dialysis center, "which is not even suitable for animals to live in, let alone being a medical center," said Ragy.Hmmmm.....The 'people' the Obama regime supports.Read the full story here.
