Palestine & Hamas Scout movement one of the oldest reinvigorated.
Palestine's & Hamas
After a long period of suspension of contact with analogous groups and networks at the global level, the Scout Movement in Palestine, re-connects with its long history taking part gatherings and discussions promoted by scouts associations at the regional and international levels.
Two delegations of Palestinian Scout Associations in recent weeks took part in a Scouts Camp in Poland – in the context of new relations of cooperation and twinning in agreement with Polish Scouting – and in a gathering of Arab Scouts in Morocco which started on 13 July.

The intention is to revive Palestinian Scout Region comprising four units (West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza, Lebanon). Today the Palestinian association has already 120 groups in West Bank, over 30 in Gaza and another 30 in Lebanon.
Considered one of the world’s oldest scout movements, Palestinian scouting started in1912with the formation of the first scout group at the Anglican Church of Saint George, which belongs to the Anglican diocese of Jerusalem. During its long history Palestinian Scouting suffered persecution in the period of British rule in the second half of the 1930s. Hmmm....Scout Law. A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent....... they seen dying to start, good thing they all carry a knife..

US and Europe created terror in Brussels, says spokesman for PA Security Forces.
US and Europe created terror in Brussels, says spokesman for PA Security Forces. (Palwatch).
Following the terror attacks in Brussels yesterday, in which at least 30 people were murdered and hundreds were injured, PA Security Forces Spokesman Adnan Al-Damiri wrote in a post on his Facebook page that the US and Europe are the ones who created international terror.
He claimed, for example, that Europe and the US are responsible for "exporting Jewish terror to Palestine," and therefore Europe is directly responsible for the terror that strikes it:
"Those who prepare the poison will taste it themselves, and today Europe is having a taste of what it prepared with its own hands." [Facebook page of PA Security Forces spokesman Adnan Al-Damiri, March 22, 2016]
Today, the official PA daily expressed the same message in the cartoon above - a person whose head is the globe representing the Western world is shown attempting to blow up the Middle East, but inadvertently blows up himself. [Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 23, 2016]
The following text was posted by PA Security Forces Spokesman Adnan Al-Damiri on his Facebook page on March 22, 2016, following the terror attacks in Brussels:
"While we condemn and denounce terrorist acts everywhere in the world, we Arabs are the ones who have been most severely burned by the fire of terror, which has been created and exported by the US and Europe since the Arab Jihad fighters in Afghanistan, and before that by exporting the Jewish terror to Palestine, supporting it and justifying it. Today, Europe is being burnt by its [the terror's] fire in its airports and squares. I do not gloat but feel pain over every innocent soul that was killed, but those who prepare the poison will taste it themselves, and today Europe is having a taste of what it prepared with its own hands. Unless you fight terror everywhere, first and foremost in Palestine, since the [Israeli] occupation is the ugliest form of terror, as well as in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan - you will be burnt by its fire, and terror has no religion." Jordan Says to Install Cameras at Jerusalem al-Aqsa Mosque Compound in Days.

Jordan Says to Install Cameras at Jerusalem al-Aqsa Mosque Compound in Days. (Naharnet).
Jordan said on Sunday it will set up security cameras
around Jerusalem's flashpoint al-Aqsa mosque compound in the coming days
to monitor any Israeli "violations."
In October, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry endorsed a
plan to install cameras at the site in a bid to calm repeated
disturbances, after talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II and Palestinian
leader Mahmoud Abbas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed.
But the Jordanian-run trust or "Waqf" that administers
the site -- which houses the famed golden Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa
mosque -- then complained that Israeli police had blocked them from
installing the cameras.
A "control center" will be set up to monitor
round-the-clock video surveillance of the compound, Jordan's Islamic
Affairs Minister Hayel Daoud said.
The footage will be broadcast online to "document all
Israeli violations and aggressions," he said in a statement, adding that
no cameras would be installed inside mosques.
Clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli security
forces erupted at the compound in September amid fears among Muslims
that Israel was planning to change rules governing the site in annexed
east Jerusalem.
The Israeli prime minister has said repeatedly there are no such plans. Hmmm......"The footage will be broadcast online": online to whom? With sound and to be switched on and off at convenient times?

Saudi Journalist: Iran – Not Israel – Is The Gulf States' No. 1 Enemy.
Saudi Journalist: Iran – Not Israel – Is The Gulf States' No. 1 Enemy. (Memri).
On March 8, 2016, Saudi journalist Muhammad Aal Al-Sheikh wrote in his column in the Saudi daily Al-Jazirah that today, Iran is the No. 1 enemy of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, supplanting the historical enemy Israel. Any citizen of the Gulf who disagrees with this assessment, he added, is a traitor.
Arguing that Iran is exploiting the Palestinian issue as a pretext for "infiltrating deep into the Arab world, shredding its Arab fabric, and dragging Arab society into supporting its expansionary plan," he emphasized that the Palestinians should expect no salvation from Iran. He also warned the Gulf Shi'ites that they were mere pawns for Iran, which was using them to promote Persian national aspirations.
"The Persian enemy is Enemy No. 1, and the Zionist enemy is [only] Enemy No. 2. We must present this truth directly, flattering no one, to all those [who try] to extort us with the tale that Israel is the Arabs' Enemy No. 1 and that Iran supports us on the Palestinian issue. This tale could still be true vis-à-vis the Arabs to the north [of the Arabian Peninsula], and in Egypt, because Israel threatens [Egypt] and its security and stability. But as for the [Saudi] kingdom and the Gulf states, it is Iran, not Israel, that tops the list of the enemies and the dangers that lie in wait for us, face us and threaten us.
Iran is exploiting the issue of the Palestinians and the liberation [of Palestine] as a pretext for infiltrating deep into the Arab [world], shredding its Arab fabric, and dragging Arab [society] into supporting its expansionary plan.
"It is true that the Palestinian issue has throughout history been the No. 1 Arab cause, and liberating Jerusalem from the yoke of the Israeli occupation has doubtless been the No. 1 issue for us, with nothing more important. However, at this time, and in light of the Persian ambition that the extremist Muslim Iranian government is backing with all its resources and for which it is mobilizing all its forces and capabilities, the Persian enemy takes priority – and must take priority – over the Israeli danger.
"I do not think that any reasonable Gulf resident would consider the danger [posed by] the Zionist enemy to be greater than [that posed by] the Persian enemy. The Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians, whose land is wholly or partially occupied by Israel, are expecting us – for whatever reasons and excuses – to be courteous towards them and to prioritize the Israeli danger over that posed by the Persian enemy. They are delusional."Moreover, let me say this bluntly: Any citizen of any of the five Gulf states who prioritizes the Israeli danger over that of the Persian enemy, whether from a pan-Arab or an Islamist perspective, is sacrificing his homeland, its security, its stability and perhaps its very existence for his neighbor's cause. By any national standard, this is absolute treason.
"This issue has to do with our very existence, and there is no bargaining over it or dismissing or neglecting it. It is a matter on which the Gulf residents, whether Sunni or Shi'ite, agree equally. I know that for a minority among the ordinary Gulf Shi'ites, sectarian affiliation is the most important factor, and they place it above national affiliation. To them I say: The Persians have no interest in sect or even in religion. What really interests them is utilizing [your] sectarian [affiliation] as a lure to mobilize you against your homeland, as a fifth column.Read the full story here.

Palestinians interviewed oppose children's terrorism and blame TV for inciting. HT PalWatch. by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
The majority of Palestinians interviewed in the street by Fatah-run Awdah TV said they were against children participating in stabbing and other terror attacks. Most opposed child-terror in principle, while a few opposed it because they view it as ineffective.
Palestinian Media Watch has reported that Palestinian schools also incite children to kill. Children in "many schools from the Ramallah and El-Bireh district" were presented with a terrorist stabber as a role model when they participated in a football tournament named after 13-year-old terrorist Ahmad Manasrah, who stabbed a 13-year-old Israeli and nearly killed him. [Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 23, 2015]
The current terror campaign has witnessed 13, 14 and 15-year-old terrorists stabbing and attempting to stab people to death. Many of them have been killed while carrying out their attacks. According to Israeli army statistics, about half of the terrorists in the current terror campaign have been under age 20. At least 21 terrorists (10%) were under age 16. [IDF, Feb. 17, 2016]. 'Peace Partner' Fatah photoshops image of dying terrorist, forms map of "Palestine" from her blood. HT: Palwatch. By Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
Abbas' Fatah and the Palestinian Authority never miss an opportunity to demonstrate to their people that their vision of "the State of Palestine" encompasses all of Israel, leaving little meaning to Abbas' claim that he accepts the two-state solution, which he repeats when addressing international forums.
Illustrating "Palestine's" borders, Fatah's official Facebook page sported the macabre photo above, of a dying terrorist and her trickling blood, with the text:
"This is the blood that drew the borders of the State of Palestine" [Official Fatah Facebook page, Feb. 14, 2016]
The photo-shopped image shows the shape of the map of "Palestine" including the PA areas as well as all of Israel, formed by the blood of terrorist Yasmin Al-Zaru Tamimi, a 20-year-old female terrorist, who was shot when she tried to stab an Israeli soldier near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on Feb. 14, 2016.
Part of the map is her actual blood, while some was added to the photo. Tamimi later died of her wounds in an Israeli hospital.
The PA Presidential Guards posted a similar message on Facebook, linking "children" with the ideal of spilling one's blood for "Palestine" and a map that includes the PA areas as well as all of Israel with a Palestinian flag over it

Ibrahim Khreisheh, the Palestinian envoy to the U.N. Human Rights Council, recently said that it may "be useful" to ask Arab and European countries "to allow the Jews to return to their former lands and homes."
"Then we, the Palestinians, will return to be the way we were - Jews, Christians, and Muslims," he said, in a February 4 interview with the official Palestinian Authority TV channel, adding: "We never had people from Poland, the Ukraine, Switzerland, France, or England."

Senior PLO leader Erekat warns that if Israel doesn't agree to a Palestinian state, ISIS will take over.
Senior PLO leader Erekat warns that if Israel doesn't agree to a Palestinian state, ISIS will take over. (INN).
If Israel does not make peace with the Palestinian Authority (PA), the Islamic State (ISIS) will assume the moral leadership of the Arab world, senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Saeb Erekat warned on Friday.
Speaking at a Rome conference on Mediterranean security and quoted by AFP, Erekat claimed that the radical jihadism of Islamic State could only be defeated long-term through a resolution of the Palestinian question and the establishment of democracy in Arab countries.
"Ever since the beginning of Islam there have been people and organizations seeking to use the religion for their own ends. Daesh is number 803," he said, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.
"You are not going to defeat Daesh with bullets, warplanes and so on," said Erekat, who then went on to claim that the anger that fueled support for groups like ISIS was undermining people like him who had attempt to negotiate peace with Israel and had been treated instead to the “expansion of Israeli settlements”.
"For 23 years I promised Palestinians we would have our freedom and dignity. What did I bring my people? Instead 200,000 settlers we now have 600,000 and an Israeli Prime Minister who prides himself on saying 'there will be no Palestinian state on my watch,'” he charged, according to AFP.
"If we go down as Palestinian moderates, if we cannot deliver, mark my words this will be the scenario.
"At the moment ISIS are seen as a causeless bunch of criminal terrorists. Nobody is associating with them.
"If tomorrow they fill the gap of me and (Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud) Abbas and they start killing Israelis, who among one billion Arabs will be against it?" threatened Erekat. Hmmmm........ Well as he said there are A Billion Muslims who wouldn't mind to see Israel wiped out. Read the full story here.

'Sometines NATO Ally' Erdogan: 'Israelis created the 'occupation state' in 1948.
'Sometines NATO Ally' Erdogan: 'Israelis created the 'occupation state' in 1948. (INN)
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is at it again. On Wednesday, the Islamist leader expressed his personal support and his country's support for the Palestinian issue and for "the struggle of the Palestinian people against injustice, destruction and the Israeli occupation," as he put it.
This message was passed on Erdogan’s behalf by the Turkish deputy foreign minister, Naci Koru, during a rally in support of the Palestinian Arabs which was held in Ankara.
Erdogan, in his message, noted that "the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the most serious obstacle to the achievement of stability and peace in the Middle East. The Israelis established their state of occupation in 1948, depriving the Palestinian people of their right to establish their independent state."
"It is impossible to reach a just and comprehensive peace to the Palestinian problem as long as this historical injustice is not repaired," said the Turkish president, who added that his country is fully supportive of the Palestinians.
But despite his ongoing incitement against Israelis, Erdogan earlier this week claimed in a conversation with an Israeli radio station that he thinks it would be possible to repair the strained ties between his country and Israel, in light of the events in the region. Hmmmm.......The 'Caliph of the Muslim Brotherhood' having good ties with Israel? NEVAH.

Former Israeli Envoy Oren Says ‘Likely’ Obama Will Not Veto Resolution Calling for Creation of Pal State.
Former Israeli Envoy Oren Says ‘Likely’ Hussein Obama Will Not Veto Security Council Resolution Calling for Creation of Palestinian State. (Algemeiner).
Former Israeli envoy to Washington, Michael Oren, said the United States is “likely” not to veto an expected United Nations Security Council resolution calling for the creation of a Palestinian state.
Oren’s remarks were made at the New York launch of his new book Ally: My Journey Across the American-Israeli Divide on Thursday evening.
Responding to a question from the audience about Israel’s public diplomacy on the Palestinian issue, Oren brought up the expected upcoming move at the U.N. and stated emphatically that “the United States is likely not to cast a veto.”
Oren said that “Israel could be much more proactive in preempting – the way we used to know how to preempt – threats, and the way we preempt the threat that is now emerging on the [United Nations] Security Council, with either a French and/or New Zealand resolution.”
The possibility of the withdrawal of U.S. cover for Israel at the Security Council was first speculated in November, 2014, and was openly implied by Obama administration officials in March this year.
“We’re currently evaluating our approach,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at the time, according to the Wall Street Journal. “We’re not going to prejudge what we would do if there was a U.N. action.”
Later in March, a group of U.S. senators warned Obama against stripping Israel of diplomatic protection at the Security Council.
According to an Israeli report in May, Obama told associates that he intends to veto any French proposal for a U.N. Security Council resolution mandating the creation of a Palestinian state.
But earlier this month, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power prompted concern from congressional lawmakers after she refused to categorically say if the U.S. would veto the potential Security Council resolution.
Asked directly during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing whether the U.S. would exercise its veto power to turn back such a resolution, Samantha Power was noncommittal, the U.S. News & World Report said.
“I really am going to resist making blanket declarations on hypothetical resolutions. Our position, again, I think has been very clear for some time,” Power said. “I have said, again, we would oppose anything that was designed to punish Israel or undermine Israel’s security. But I think, again, it’s perilous. There’s no resolution in front of us.”
To preempt the U.N. threat Oren suggested that Israel publicly declare three positions.
- Firstly, the Jewish state should announce that while “we realize there is no Palestinian partner,” nevertheless, “we are always going to be at the table.”
- Secondly, he said Israel should reaffirm that “we still subscribe to the Bar Ilan formula of two states even though it’s probably not realizable for the foreseeable future.”
- Thirdly, it should be declared that Israel will only build in settlements likely to remain part of Israel in a peace deal, namely the large blocs in Jerusalem’s suburbs.
Oren also indicated that Abbas in some ways presents a greater threat to Israel than Gaza based terror group Hamas.
“The irony of the thing is that Hamas presents a tactical threat to Israel with its rockets, it’s Mahmoud Abbas with the attempt to sanction and boycott us which is the strategic threat,” Oren said. “Any Israeli security official will tell you just what I’m telling you now, he’s the threat, we can preempt the threat by saying to the world [these] three things.”
Oren’s book and accompanying media op-eds and interviews have made waves over the past week, specifically over his expansive and detailed criticism of President Obama’s policy towards Israel. Hmmm.....Sadly i predicted this six years ago. Read the full story here.
