The operator of the troubled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant planned to release slightly radioactive air from the facility's No.2 reactor building, Kyodo News reported on Sunday. Tokyo Electric Power Co., known as TEPCO, suspended the operation of a key system designed to clean up the highly radioactive water accumulated in the plant only hours after it started, due to sharp rise of radiation in a part of the system. The Japanese government and the utility have been battling to keep the plant crippled by the devastating earthquake and tsunami in March under control. It is still leaking radioactive substances into environment.

A government task force on the nuclear emergency will allow sludge containing 8,000 becquerels or less per kg of radioactive cesium to be buried in waste disposal sites, providing there are no future residential developments at the locations. It also said Thursday the safety of sludge containing between 8,000 and 100,000 becquerels per kg of cesium must be evaluated case by case before it is buried. Sludge measuring more than 100,000 becquerels per kg should be kept sealed, and a final disposal method remains undecided. The announcement came as radioactive materials have been detected in water and wastewater treatment plants in many regions, including Tokyo, since the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant was crippled by the March 11 disaster. Goshi Hosono, a special adviser on the nuclear crisis to Prime Minister Naoto Kan, said at a news conference that the central government is considering bearing the costs of disposal. The task force said the decision concerns 13 prefectures, including Fukushima, Tokyo and Shizuoka.Source : Here .

- Europe - Latest official Situation Update on E-Coli epidemic - 59 On 20.06.2011 at 03:18 GMT+2
Russia expects to receive on Monday a strain of the highly virulent E.Coli infection that has killed over 30 people in Europe and forced the Russian authorities to impose a ban on vegetable imports from the European Union, Russia's sanitary chief Gennady Onishchenko said on Sunday. "The strain has been sent by the Rome research center, which cooperates with the World Health Organization. But we have not received it yet, considering that today is Sunday," Onishchenko said. Russia suspended fruit and vegetable imports from the European Union early in June after the highly virulent strain of the E. coli bacteria had killed 38 people in Europe. The move sparked criticism from EU officials for going against World Trade Organization policy. Russia pledged to keep the embargo until the source of infection was identified. The virus is reported to be traced to bean sprouts grown on a farm in Germany's Lower Saxony region, some 70 km (40 miles) south of Hamburg. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said the country will lift the ban after it receives guarantees from Brussels that the supplies are safe.
Situation Update No. 59 - On 18.06.2011 at 19:42 GMT+2
The dangerous strain of E. coli that has claimed the lives of nearly 40 Germans has been found in a stream in Frankfurt, it was confirmed Friday evening. But authorities said there was no risk to the city's water supply. The Environment Ministry of the state of Hesse announced that the deadly O 104:H 4 strain of the bacteria had been found in the Erlenbach stream in the north-east of the city. A more harmless E. coli strain had been found in a vegetable farm close by the stream last week, when lettuce was apparently contaminated by water used for washing. Following routine checks, the more dangerous E. coli form was then found in the stream. Susanne Andriessens, spokeswoman for the Hesse health department said there was no danger to drinking water. She emphasized that E. coli had occasionally been found in the 30-kilometre stream before, and that it was not unusual for surface water to contain several types of bacteria. People are generally advised not to swim in streams and rivers in Hesse. The ministries said there were various theories on how the E. coli got into the stream, though they added that the test sample was taken from near a sewage plant. While such plants generally have very high hygiene standards, authorities said this could not be ruled out as a possible source. Two farms near the Erlenbach have permission to use its water, though only for potatoes and sugar beets, which are currently not in season. More samples from the stream were sent for testing on Friday, with results expected in two or three days.Source.
- US man seeks to seize flotilla ships using anti-piracy law.(JPost).Lawsuit filed in NY court seeks to confiscate 14 ships slated to participate in upcoming flotilla on grounds they were outfitted with unlawful funds.Dr. Alan Bauer, an American- Israeli victim of a Palestinian terrorist attack, on Thursday filed a first of its kind lawsuit in an effort to seize ships to be used by Islamic and anti-Israel organizations to try to breach the blockade of the Gaza Strip later this month. The suit, Bauer v. The Mavi Marmara, was filed in Manhattan federal court, seeking to confiscate 14 ships, which are scheduled to participate in the upcoming flotilla and which were outfitted with funds Bauer says were unlawfully raised in the United States by anti-Israel groups, including The Free Gaza Movement. Over the weekend, however, the Turkish IHH organization said the Mavi Marmara was still too damaged to sail for Gaza. The plaintiff, a biologist from the Chicago area, and his son Jonathan, then aged seven, were seriously wounded when Palestinian suicide bomber detonated a bomb, packed with metal spikes and nails, in the center of a crowd of shoppers on King George Street in Jerusalem on March 21, 2002.Three people were killed and 85 other people were also wounded.Bauer alleges that The Free Gaza Movement and other American-based anti-Israel organizations have raised funds in the United States to outfit the Gaza flotilla ships. The lawsuit contends that furnishing and outfitting the ships, which are being used for hostilities against a US ally, violates American law.The plaintiff rests his claim upon the rarely used 18th-century “informant” statute (18 USC Section 962) that allows a plaintiff (called an “informer”) to privately seize ships outfitted in the United States for use against a US ally.
The stature states: “Whoever, within the United States, furnishes, fits out, arms, or attempts to furnish, fit out or arm, any vessel, with intent that such vessel shall be employed in the service of any foreign prince, or state, or of any colony, district, or people, to cruise, or commit hostilities against the subjects, citizens, or property of any foreign prince or state, or of any colony, district, or people with whom the United States is at peace; or Whoever issues or delivers a commission within the United State for any vessel, to the intent that she may be so employed – Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.“Every such vessel, her tackle, apparel, and furniture, together with all materials, arms, ammunition, and stores which may have been procured for the building and equipment thereof, shall be forfeited, one half to the use of the informer and the other half to the use of the United States.”The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Robert J. Tolchin of New York, and by Nitsana Darshan- Leitner of Israel, founder of Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center. This is the first lawsuit brought to seize the Gaza Flotilla ships.“We intend to seize the Gaza flotilla ships and turn them over to a victim of Palestinian terrorism."The extremists organizing these hostile provocations against Israel must not be allowed to illegally raise funds for their operations in the US.Escalating attacks on Israel from all directions require new and innovative responses. This unprecedented private action will help block their efforts to breach the coastal blockade and smuggle materials to Hamas in Gaza,” Darshan-Leitner said.Tolchin added, “This lawsuit will bring judgment to people who have until now ignored the law. Each flotilla ship is an attack on Israel and thus a slap in the face to the United States and every other nation that is at peace with Israel. The flotilla organizers, and the owners of these boats, should be held accountable for the damages and deaths they cause.”Shurat HaDin has been spearheading the legal battle against the upcoming flotilla, filing lawsuits in several countries, targeting the flotilla’s organizers and sponsors as well as essential service providers.Read the full story here.
- ATF gunrunning scandal update: White House looking for a fast and furious way out.(Pajamasmedia).“The Wall Street Journal reported last night that the political fallout from Operation Fast and Furious has the White House looking for a fast and furious way out. The acting head of the ATF, Kenneth Melson, will likely lose his job, perhaps as early as next week, the WSJ’s sources say, in what looks like an effort to contain the damage.”That won’t be enough, for a scandal that some are calling “worse than Iran-Contra.” “The effort to get rid of Melson looks like an attempt to appease the House, but it’s not likely to work. Had the White House provided more cooperation with Darrell Issa on this and other investigations, a Melson resignation might have sufficed. Instead of cooperating, Melson and Attorney General Eric Holder stonewalled the Oversight Committee for weeks, and when they finally turned over the documents subpoenaed by Issa, the heavy redactions prompted Issa to tell the the DoJ’s Assistant Attorney General that he ‘should be ashamed’ of its conduct in an investigation into the death of one of its Border Patrol agents. . . . Issa now will go after the DoJ for its conduct in the investigation, because Holder and Weich have certainly acted as if they have something to hide. And the sudden desire to throw Melson under the bus seems to indicate that the White House would like to end this probe rather quickly, too. At this point, even a resignation by Weich wouldn’t slow Issa’s probe.”Bonus quote: “Allowing loads of weapons that we knew to be destined for criminals, this was the plan. It was so mandated.” –Special Agent John Dodson ATF Phoenix Field Division. I retain my suspicions about the connection between a secret ATF operation that allowed thousands of weapons to go from U.S. gunshops to Mexican crime scenes, and a public gun-control campaign by the Obama Administration that stressed the need to limit gun sales in the United States because weapons from U.S. gun shops were turning up at Mexican crime scenes. Call me cynical, but this is an awfully convenient juxtaposition.Hmmmm......Thugocracy in motion.Read the full story here.
- Obamacare's Pitfalls: They Will Touch Every American.(InfidelBloggers)By AlwaysOnWatch. These pitfalls proliferate in the Health Care Reform Act, the bill that Pelosi so glibly told us would eventually reveal its specifics after it became law:
The specifics below will touch the vast majority of Americans in one way or another.
Beginning January 1, 2013, ObamaCare imposes a 3.8% Medicare tax on unearned income, including the sale of single family homes, townhouses, co-ops, condominiums, and even rental income.[...]Like a lot of the poorly-designed, economic programs of this administration, this program will destroy more wealth than it ever gets around to actually transferring. The negative externalities of this proposal will be legion.....This will also have a knock-on unemployment multiplier effect on the people who pave roads to new subdivisions. It will require fewer realtors and settlement attorneys to handle the decreased sales volume. Home values will adjust downward in reaction to the penalty tax that a homeowner has to pay to escape a current residence. This will lead to a downward pressure on tax assessments for residential property which will further complicate the efforts of state and local governments to run organizations such as schools.
According to GOP.gov:
This new ObamaCare tax is the first time the government will apply a 3.8 percent tax on unearned income. This new tax on home sales and unearned income and other Medicare taxes raise taxes more than $210 billion to pay for ObamaCare. The National Association of Realtors called this new Medicare tax on unearned income “destructive” and “ill-advised” and warned it would hurt job creation. Under the Obama administration, middle-class America is well on the way to serfdom!Hmmmm.......Dictatorship or Democracy.Read the full story here.
- Obama will Resign and for Good Reason.(EmergingCorruption).By Alan Caruba.I always thought it was creepy the way Barack Hussein Obama has repeatedly referred to the likelihood of his being a one-term President. It is as if he knew, even as he campaigned in 2008, that all the loose ends and unanswered questions about his life would eventually disqualify him.It is now widely acknowledged that the mainstream media ran interference for him, ignoring or disparaging those who questioned his eligibility. After two and a half years in office, however, his arrogance and incompetence is so manifest that even they can no longer cover for him. Obama has single handedly generated a mass political movement called the Tea Party and election results for governors and members of Congress have put opposition candidates into office. On March 31, 1968, then-President Lyndon B. Johnson announced that he would not run for reelection, responding to the massive opposition to the war in Vietnam. On August 9, 1974, Richard M. Nixon announced his resignation in the wake of the Watergate scandal to avoid impeachment. I predict that Barack Hussein Obama will resign before the end of his first term. He may well do so prior to the September 2012 Democratic Party convention. Obama was never eligible to run for the office. In his book, “Where’s the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama is Not Eligible to be President”, Dr. Jerome R. Corsi, Phd, devotes 387 pages, complete with appendices and endnotes, to irrefutably make that case.Anyone who reads Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution, however, can make that case in less than a minute. Only a “natural born” individual whose both parents were American citizens can be President. Obama’s father was a citizen of Kenya. There is no dispute regarding what the Founders meant when they said “natural born.” Further clouding Obama’s eligibility is the time he spent in his youth in Indonesia as the adopted son of that nation’s nationality.Corsi’s book explores all the other mysteries including a highly suspicious Social Security number, passports, and other documentation that any candidate for office would normally submit to public disclosure. A massive cover up that includes the national press corps, the Democratic Party, Congress and even the U.S. courts, permitted Obama to gain and hold the office. Indeed, Corsi’s book is not the first to reveal the deceptions. At least three other books have meticulously examined the issue. They include “The Manchurian Candidate” by Aaron Klein with Brenda J. Elliot, “The Blueprint: Obama’s Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency” by Ken Blackwell and Ken Klukowski, and “The Post-American Presidency” by Pamela Geller with Robert Spencer.Corsi, however, has the benefit of timing. As the nation enters the period following Obama’s announcement he is running for reelection and during the process of selecting a Republican opponent, the issue of his eligibility is gathering momentum. The polling data is all against him. The failure of his policies, combined with the massive increase in the national debt, rising unemployment, the implosion of the housing market, and a growing perception of incompetence, are coalescing to give weight to the demand that he end his candidacy or resign.“History has not been kind to U.S. Presidents that have attempted to hide behind a lie,” says Corsi. When republics begin to ignore their founding documents, they are literally committing suicide and, in Obama’s case, it is an assisted suicide. The recognized definition of a “natural born citizen”, a requirement to be President, does not require much more than common sense. In a May article published by Canada Free Press, Lawrence B. Solum, the John E. Cribbett Professor of Law at the University of Illinois College of Law, is quoted as having written in September 2008, “Anyone born on American soil whose parents are citizens of the United States is a natural born citizen.”Ironically, in 2008, his political opponent, Sen. John McCain, whose both parents were Americans when he was born in Panama, was the subject of a Senate Resolution confirming his eligibility to run. The then-Democrat controlled Senate took up no such action regarding Obama. If they had, they would have had to hold a convention to pick a new candidate!Hmmmmm.....Thugocracy or Democracy?Read the full story here.
- Fukushima: It's much worse than you think.(Al-Jazeera).Scientific experts believe Japan's nuclear disaster to be far worse than governments are revealing to the public. "Fukushima is the biggest industrial catastrophe in the history of mankind," Arnold Gundersen, a former nuclear industry senior vice president, told Al Jazeera.Japan's 9.0 earthquake on March 11 caused a massive tsunami that crippled the cooling systems at the Tokyo Electric Power Company's (TEPCO) nuclear plant in Fukushima, Japan. It also led to hydrogen explosions and reactor meltdowns that forced evacuations of those living within a 20km radius of the plant.Gundersen, a licensed reactor operator with 39 years of nuclear power engineering experience, managing and coordinating projects at 70 nuclear power plants around the US, says the Fukushima nuclear plant likely has more exposed reactor cores than commonly believed."Fukushima has three nuclear reactors exposed and four fuel cores exposed," he said, "You probably have the equivalent of 20 nuclear reactor cores because of the fuel cores, and they are all in desperate need of being cooled, and there is no means to cool them effectively."TEPCO has been spraying water on several of the reactors and fuel cores, but this has led to even greater problems, such as radiation being emitted into the air in steam and evaporated sea water - as well as generating hundreds of thousands of tons of highly radioactive sea water that has to be disposed of."The problem is how to keep it cool," says Gundersen. "They are pouring in water and the question is what are they going to do with the waste that comes out of that system, because it is going to contain plutonium and uranium. Where do you put the water?"Even though the plant is now shut down, fission products such as uranium continue to generate heat, and therefore require cooling."The fuels are now a molten blob at the bottom of the reactor," Gundersen added. "TEPCO announced they had a melt through. A melt down is when the fuel collapses to the bottom of the reactor, and a melt through means it has melted through some layers. That blob is incredibly radioactive, and now you have water on top of it. The water picks up enormous amounts of radiation, so you add more water and you are generating hundreds of thousands of tons of highly radioactive water.Independent scientists have been monitoring the locations of radioactive "hot spots" around Japan, and their findings are disconcerting."We have 20 nuclear cores exposed, the fuel pools have several cores each, that is 20 times the potential to be released than Chernobyl," said Gundersen. "The data I'm seeing shows that we are finding hot spots further away than we had from Chernobyl, and the amount of radiation in many of them was the amount that caused areas to be declared no-man's-land for Chernobyl. We are seeing square kilometres being found 60 to 70 kilometres away from the reactor. You can't clean all this up. We still have radioactive wild boar in Germany, 30 years after Chernobyl."Meanwhile, a nuclear waste advisor to the Japanese government reported that about 966 square kilometres near the power station - an area roughly 17 times the size of Manhattan - is now likely uninhabitable. In the US, physician Janette Sherman MD and epidemiologist Joseph Mangano published an essay shedding light on a 35 per cent spike in infant mortality in northwest cities that occurred after the Fukushima meltdown, and may well be the result of fallout from the stricken nuclear plant.According to Gundersen, the exposed reactors and fuel cores are continuing to release microns of caesium, strontium, and plutonium isotopes. These are referred to as "hot particles"."We are discovering hot particles everywhere in Japan, even in Tokyo," he said. "Scientists are finding these everywhere. Over the last 90 days these hot particles have continued to fall and are being deposited in high concentrations. A lot of people are picking these up in car engine air filters."Radioactive air filters from cars in Fukushima prefecture and Tokyo are now common, and Gundersen says his sources are finding radioactive air filters in the greater Seattle area of the US as well. The hot particles on them can eventually lead to cancer."These get stuck in your lungs or GI tract, and they are a constant irritant," he explained, "One cigarette doesn't get you, but over time they do. These [hot particles] can cause cancer, but you can't measure them with a Geiger counter. Clearly people in Fukushima prefecture have breathed in a large amount of these particles. Clearly the upper West Coast of the US has people being affected. That area got hit pretty heavy in April."Gundersen believes it will take experts at least ten years to design and implement the plan."So ten to 15 years from now maybe we can say the reactors have been dismantled, and in the meantime you wind up contaminating the water," Gundersen said. "We are already seeing Strontium [at] 250 times the allowable limits in the water table at Fukushima. Contaminated water tables are incredibly difficult to clean. So I think we will have a contaminated aquifer in the area of the Fukushima site for a long, long time to come."Unfortunately, the history of nuclear disasters appears to back Gundersen's assessment."With Three Mile Island and Chernobyl, and now with Fukushima, you can pinpoint the exact day and time they started," he said, "But they never end."Read the full story here.
- The Chinese Government Is Buying Up Economic Assets And Huge Tracts Of Land All Over The United States.(TheAmericanDream).In 2011, America is for sale and the communist Chinese are eager buyers. The Chinese government is using sovereign wealth funds and Chinese state-owned enterprises to buy up economic assets and huge tracts of land all over the United States. Many of our politicians hail all of this "foreign investment" as something that is "good for America", while many others see something much more sinister going on here. In any event, this is a trend that is rapidly accelerating and that is causing great concern among patriotic Americans. In my recent article entitled "China Wants To Construct A 50 Square Mile Self-Sustaining City South Of Boise, Idaho", I examined a potential deal that Sinomach (a company controlled by the Chinese government) wants to do with the government of Idaho. There will be more on this deal in a minute. But first it is important to note that this is a phenomenon that is happening all across the United States. For example, a Chinese investment group is buying up a very large chunk of real estate in Toledo, Ohio. The following is a brief excerpt from an article in the Toledo Blade on May 26th, 2011....
Dashing Pacific Group Ltd., which has already purchased the nearby Docks restaurant complex for $2.15 million, put its $3.8 million offer to buy the southern 69 acres at the Marina District in East Toledo back on the table for approval by Toledo City Council. Additionally, Dashing Pacific Chairman Yuan Xiaohong, in a letter signed in Hangzhou, said the firm wants a two-year option to buy the decommissioned Toledo Edison power plant property on the site.Even more disturbing is what has been happening down in Texas recently. The Chinese have been gobbling up our oil and gas fields. The following is a quote from one local Texas news source about one of these deals....State-owned Chinese energy giant CNOOC is buying a multibillion-dollar stake in 600,000 acres of South Texas oil and gas fields, potentially testing the political waters for further expansion into U.S. energy reserves. With the announcement Monday that it would pay up to $2.2 billion for a one-third stake in Chesapeake Energy assets, CNOOC lays claim to a share of properties that eventually could produce up to half a million barrels a day of oil equivalent. You can read much more about this particular deal right here.CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Company) has been buying up oil and gas assets all over the globe. They seem to have an insatiable appetite for them. There is not much we can do about what is going on in other countries, but when we allow foreigners to buy up our own precious oil and gas assets shouldn't that set off "national security" red flags? Not that our politicians are too concerned about real national security issues anyway. They just keep telling us that we will be just fine as long as we allow the TSA to grope our wives, our children and the elderly.Getting back to the topic, shouldn't we be alarmed that someday soon we may be importing "foreign oil" that is being pumped out of Texas land?It is almost as if virtually all of our politicians have lost all common sense.Hmmmm......But there's more, much more.Read the full story here.
- CAIR: Americas #1 Terrorist Threat.(WeAreNotAfraid).By: Dave Gaubatz, Author of ‘Muslim Mafia’. Many people have a misconception of Islamic terrorism and falsely believe (based on inaccurate and biased media news agencies) that Al Qaeda, Hamas, The Taliban, etc… are America’s number one terrorist threat. Even our government from both sides of the aisle has led the American people to believe this. The truth is the ideology of Islam itself is America’s major concern and the terrorist based organization CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) promotes the violent aspects of Sharia law inside America. Sharia itself will be America’s downfall and CAIR (financed, promoted, and sponsored by Saudi Arabia) are destroying our country from the inside out. Now what does ‘inside out’ actually mean in simple and non academic terms? It means that CAIR has for over 15 years built a source network that is several times better than the FBI or any other law enforcement department. CAIR has put money into the pockets of not only politicians, but inside law enforcement officer’s pockets, media, and 500 Fortune Corporations. There are many people in non profit organizations that say they want to educate the American public on the threats our country faces from Islamic terrorism, but in reality most are only one notch above the media and two botches above politicians who are supposed to protect our country. This is the difference between the work I have conducted for many years and non profit organizations. I do not have to answer to anyone aside from my family and my professional ethics. I have no concern of what the media, politicians, or organizations such as CAIR think about my work which includes undercover research inside their organizations, our book (Muslim Mafia), my articles, or my lectures on Islamic based terrorist organizations. I operate the way our media used to operate decades ago before money and political correctness became their number one concern. Essentially I provide the American people the truth and most others provide the public what they are paid to say.The media organizations from both the conservative and liberal sides have led the American people to believe it is either the Democrats or Republicans fault about our problems in national security areas. In reality it is both the Democrats and Republicans responsibility to protect our country’s interest, but both have failed and continue to fail. Many readers assume just because we have not had attacks similar to September 11th, 2001, that our country is relatively safe. This is a grave danger to our country because we have a false sense of security. Terrorist organizations such as CAIR are operating safely across our country and they are backed by numerous politicians such as Congressman Keith Ellison from Minnesota. It is sad for me to say but even President George Bush (a man I have respected) helps promote the illegal activities of CAIR when they have photograph sessions with their leaders.Although I highly respect the Center for Security Policy (led by Frank Gaffney), I disagree with their approach on exposing specific Islamic groups, imams, and their supporters. It is no longer enough just to say there are Islamic threats in Florida, Texas, Michigan, etc… they must begin exposing specific people who support these groups. What does this mean? Recently CSP released the results of the Mapping Sharia Study which I had conducted with my team of researchers in 2007 and 2008. The study gave no credit to either my researchers or myself although we put our lives on the line to go inside terrorist supporting mosques and conduct research. The CSP study does not mention specific Imams or mosques that are providing material support to terrorist groups. Why? Again it comes down to pressure from politicians and media groups. Again I say I respect CSP,but they have fallen into the trap of being concerned with lawsuits and hard line tactics used by CAIR and the money coming from Saudi Arabia. During our study their was one such mosque in Nashville, TN that had material that not only promoted terrorism against our country and our people, but promoted child marriages in accordance with Sharia law. I ask readers to question CSP and ask why would they not want to expose the specific mosque and Imams promoting such acts? Do we put lawsuits above the safety of innocent Muslim children? I say no and this is why I am not currently working as the Director of the Mapping Sharia Project led by CSP. I put innocent people above my own interests and have no problem in exposing Imams and groups such as CAIR who behind the scenes are doing their ultimate best to destroy our country.Hmmmm......Soldiers won wars, politicians lost countries.Read the full story here.

- NCLR Funding Skyrockets After Obama Hires Its VP.(Judicialwatch).A Judicial Watch investigation reveals that federal funding for a Mexican La Raza group that for years has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars has skyrocketed since one of its top officials got a job in the Obama White House. The influential and politically-connected National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has long benefitted from Uncle Sam’s largess but the group has made a killing since Obama hired its senior vice president (Cecilia Muñoz) in 2009 to be his director of intergovernmental affairs.Ignored by the mainstream media, Judicial Watch covered the appointment because the president issued a special “ethics waiver” to bring Muñoz aboard since it violated his own lobbyist ban. At the pro illegal immigration NCLR, Muñoz supervised all legislative and advocacy activities on the state and local levels and she was heavily involved in the congressional immigration battles that took place in the George W. Bush Administration. She also brought in a steady flow of government cash that’s allowed the Washington D.C.-based group to expand nationwide and promote its leftist, open-borders agenda via a network of community organizations dedicated to serving Latinos.Among them are a variety of local groups that provide social services, housing counseling and farm worker assistance as well as publicly-funded charter schools that promote radical Chicano curriculums. Judicial Watch published a special report on this a few years ago. This week a JW probe has uncovered details of the alarming increase in federal funding that these NCLR groups have received since Muñoz joined the Obama Administration. In fact, the government cash more than doubled the year Muñoz joined the White House, from $4.1 million to $11 million. Not surprisingly, a big chunk of the money (60%) came from the Department of Labor, which is headed by a former California congresswoman (Hilda Solis) with close ties to the La Raza movement. Since Obama named her Labor Secretary, Solis has launched a nationwide campaign to protect illegal immigrant workers in the U.S. Just this week Solis penned declarations with Guatemala and Nicaragua to preserve the rights of their migrants.Additionally, NCLR affiliates nationwide raked in tens of millions of government grant and recovery dollars last year thanks to the Muñoz factor. An offshoot called Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) saw its federal funding nearly double to $18.3 million following Muñoz’ appointment. A social service and legal assistance organization (Ayuda Inc.) that didn’t receive any federal funding between 2005 and 2008 got $600,000 in 2009 and $548,000 in 2010 from the Department of Justice. The group provides immigration law services and guarantees confidentiality to assure illegal aliens that they won’t be reported to authorities.Hmmmmm......Thugocracy in motion.Read the full story here.

- Hijab-Wearing ‘Flash Mob’ Invades RightOnline.(TalkingpointsMemo).MINNEAPOLIS -- A group of around ten women in Muslim headscarves crashed the RightOnline conference for about ten minutes Saturday, protesting what they said was an incident targeting Muslim women Thursday night. The event was the latest spark kicked up by the proximity of Netroots Nation and RightOnline. The two conferences are blocks apart -- RightOnline is being held in a hotel many Netrootsers are staying in -- and interaction between the progressives at Netroots and the conservatives at RightOnline has been inevitable. A spokesperson for the group of women told TPM they weren't sure of the identity of the man responsible for the Thursday incident -- when two hijab-wearing women were followed by a man with a cell phone camera who reportedly asked them why they were dressed the way they were "in America" -- but rumors that the incident involved an employee of conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart were rampant at Netroots. The women who arrived at RightOnline were Netroots attendees, and were accompanied by blogger Joe Aravosis and gay rights advocate/provocateur Dan Choi. The spokesperson for the "flash mob," Allison Nevitt, told TPM that there was a larger message to their protest beyond the Thursday incident, which Nevitt said had been reported to Minneapolis police."The point was mostly that Muslim women are an equal part of this nation, and that we have an equal right to exist here," Nevitt said. - Girl of 15 'sold off to chip shop workers by Asian gang for £100 petrol money'.(DailyMail).A married man sold a 15-year-old girl to restaurant workers for sex so he could buy petrol to get home, a court heard yesterday.Tanveer Ahmed, known as ‘T’ to the young children he groomed, arranged for three men to have sex with the youngster for £100, the court was told.He pocketed the cash to put fuel in his car and pay off gambling debts. The 39-year-old is one of nine Asian men on trial for 55 separate charges – which include trafficking, grooming and rape – against teenage girls aged 13 to 16 between 2007 and 2009. Stafford Crown Court heard that the men, six of them married and one a grandfather, groomed their vulnerable victims before selling them to other men for sex.The seven teenage girls, all from Telford, Shropshire, were said to have been ‘enticed and ensnared’ into a destructive world by offers of drugs, alcohol and top-ups on their mobile phones. The girls ‘believed themselves to be loved and in love with some of the men’ but were described by their abusers as ‘******* slags’ behind their backs, the court was told. The jury heard the 15-year-old ‘pimped out’ by Ahmed fell pregnant by one of the men she was sold to, but he continued to prostitute her. She kept the baby. Deborah Gould, prosecuting, told the jury that Ahmed targeted the girl by establishing a sexual relationship with her. He then began to sell her to workers at pubs, restaurants and fish and chip shops to fund his gambling habit. The girl later told police he supplied her with drugs and alcohol, adding that she had sex with him ‘lots of times’ at locations including his aunt’s home.Later she was ‘sold’ to three staff from a Bengali restaurant so Ahmed could get petrol money.Miss Gould said: ‘After the men finished work T [Ahmed] drove them to a flat above a fish and chip shop in Madeley. Each of the men had sex with her.‘She received none of the money, but the girl believed that Ahmed had made about £100 from selling her. She heard them sorting out the price for her and saw the money being handed over.’The jury was told that the girl ‘felt dirty for having sex with Terry because he was so old’, but she continued to meet Choudhrey who took her on his deliveries for a fast food shop.Miss Gould said that she performed sex acts on Choudhrey who would buy her food, cannabis and alcohol and also bought her two mobile phones. The court also heard details of the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl who was drawn into the world of Ahdel Ali, 23.Miss Gould told the jury that the youngster felt neglected as her parents spent a lot of time with one of her siblings who was ill and needed hospital care. Her alleged abuser Ali, known by the Western nickname Eddie, came from a traditional Pakistani background and was destined for an arranged Islamic marriage.Miss Gould said: ‘Eddie deliberately identified and then targeted this girl who was young, naïve and vulnerable.‘What possible interest could a 20-year-old working man, a man in a traditional Pakistani household destined for a pre-arranged marriage to a chosen bride… have in a 13-year-old schoolgirl? 'Their lives, cultural backgrounds, ages and interests were wholly incompatible.’The court heard the victims were the products of severely disrupted families and had no sense of self-worth, leaving them unable ‘to distinguish between abuse and affection’.Miss Gould said they ‘do not value themselves and... have no expectation that they will be valued by others.’She added: ‘When they receive attention from others, particularly what they see as exotic older males with money and cars, they soak it up, believing themselves to be the objects of genuine emotions and affections.’On one occasion, after Ahdel Ali had slept with the 13-year-old in his car, he told her that his wife lived just behind a nearby fence, the court heard. Brothers Ahdel and Mubarek Ali were alleged to have been the main players in the gang, facilitating contact between the young girls and the men who would go on to become their abusers, the court heard. One of the girls was allegedly told by another victim that Ahdel Ali had filmed them having sex and was showing it to other people. The men on trial are Ahdel Ali, Mubarek Ali, Mohammed Ali Sultan, 24, Tanveer Ahmed, Mahroof Khan, 33, Noshad Hussain, 21, Mohammed Islam Choudhrey, 52, Mohammed Younis, 59, and Abdul Rouf. They deny all charges. - You can't come in: First women to appear in French court for wearing banned burkas are refused entry... for wearing a burka.(DailyMail).The first women to be summoned before a European court for illegally wearing burkas were refused entry - because they refused to remove their face coverings.Najet and Hind who keep their features hidden at all times and refuse to identify themselves beyond their first names, were due to appear before a judge outside Paris. Both are accused of violating France's so-called 'burka ban', which came into force earlier this year and prevents anyone covering up their faces in public. But when Hind, a 31-year-old mother, tried to enter the court building in Meaux on Thursday, police held her back, telling her to take her head-covering off.Najet, meanwhile, simply stayed at home, with the 34-year-old saying she knew she would be stopped from entering. 'For the hearing to go ahead, you must remove the veil. Justice must be administered in a calm atmosphere,' police commissioner Philippe Tireloque told Hind.Hind, who had brought her own handcuffs to wear as part of an organised protest at the court, replied: 'I'll keep my veil on at all times - it's non-negotiable. 'The law forbids me from expressing myself, and indeed from defending myself. It forces me to dress a certain way, when all I want to do is live according to my religion.' Police are under strict orders not to remove face coverings themselves, meaning Hind was simply told to leave.Their court appearance was abandoned, as state prosecutors began trying to work out how they can deal with the challenge to the new law. They are expected to come to a decision in September. The accused are both from the Paris suburb of Aulnay-sous-Bois, and were arrested in Meaux on May 5th after travelling to an anti-burka ban protest. They face fines of £140 and an order to attend compulsory citizenship classes, at which they will be 'taught' how to behave as upstanding citizens in a secular republic. Both deny the charge of covering their faces in a public place, saying the burka ban is 'unconstitutional'.A group of around 80 women were at the Meaux court, supporting their 'sisters', and saying they would take the case all the way to the European Court of Human Rights, rather than seeing the defendants punished for what they chose to wear. Aboufarah Rachid, of the French Institute of Islamic Studies pointed to the fact that both women were from modest backgrounds - they both live on housing estate and have limited incomes.'You don't see rich Saudi Arabian women shopping on the Champs Elysee being cautioned,' said Mr Rachid. France is the first country in European to implement a full ban on covering up faces in public.Hmmmm......"Religion does not require women to veil their hands, feet and faces or enjoin any special type of veil. - Israel - 'Natural gas reliance poses security risk'.(Ynet). Dozens of former defense establishment officials warn government's intention to base energy market on offshore gas depositories perilous.Dozens of former top defense establishment officials warned Sunday against the government's intention to base Israel's future energy market solely on the offshore gas depositories discovered in the Mediterranean. Such reliance, they said, may create a security risk Israel will find difficult to ward off.Over 80 former defense establishment officials sent a letter expressing these concerns to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and National Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau. The letter urges the trio to call a comprehensive security meeting on the matter without delay. Israel has been pursuing an ongoing expansion of the use of natural gas for the past few years. Natural gas is prevalent in half of Israel Electric Corp. facilities, and future power plants – set to become operational by 2013 – will be based on it solely, with only diesel oil as their back-up. "We, reservists and defense officials, are very concerned by recent debates about the nature of Israel's future energy market," the letter reads.Becoming dependent on the newly-discovered natural gas depositories "is a dangerous decision, both for national security and for Israel's power of deterrence… Should a rig or its infrastructure – hundreds of miles of vulnerable underwater pipelines – be compromised, the country could be paralyzed; and the public, which will be instantaneously thrown back to the Stone Age, will panic. "It is clear to every Israeli that the offshore rigs have become a strategic target for Israel's enemies and that the IDF, like any other army, cannot guarantee it full immunity; since it does not depend on the military's capability or technology, but on the very nature of the mission." Those who signed on the letter, including Maj.-Gen (Res.) Amram Mitzna, former defense minister Amir Peretz and several Reserves colonels, urged the government to diversify its energy sources, "which would guarantee the power supply in the event of war or national crisis."The security at the Yam Thetis, Levitan and Tamar offshore gas exploration sites is considered localized. Sans an official outline for the rigs' security, the Navy makes sure to maintain prominent presence near all three sites. Nevertheless, military sources told Ynet naval deployment of this nature overtime will exhaust the corps resources.Hmmmm.....Unless the platforms have their own defence system?Read the full story here.
- Congresswoman: “We Need Analysis of How Christian Militants or Others Might Bring Down the Country”.(Shtf).Texas’ most embarrassing Congressional representative and member of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), says that we need to be looking broadly at the threat faced by our nation, namely analyzing how Christian militants and “others” could undermine our laws and bring down our country: What I’m saying is that as we look to be informational we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country. We need to look broadly, do we not?The issue is whether or not their intent is to undermine the laws of this nation, and I think it is clear that is the case. While we’re at it, let’s look at, analyze, and prosecute all of the “others” who would threaten our nation and undermine its laws.If we’re going to be investigating Christian militants and others who are responsible for undermining the rule of law and posing a threat to this country, the agencies responsible should do this in concert with investigations that include analyzing upper echelons of our government, Congress, corruption in law enforcement (on all levels) and financial conglomerates.Read the full story here.
- Senior NATO Sources Confirm Islamic Turkey Has Stopped NATO Attacking Key Gaddafi Targets.(Telegraph).The Turks’ dalliance with Iran and Syria must stand as fair warning to the West, says Con Coughlin.Few people can have been more surprised – and alarmed – by the sudden influx of thousands of Syrian refugees across Turkey’s southern border than Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister.Mr Erdogan, who was recently swept back into power in a third successive election victory, has spent most of the past decade establishing a cordial relationship with his Syrian counterpart, President Bashar al-Assad. The two countries have collaborated on military exercises, and even shared a joint cabinet meeting.Until recently, the deepening alliance between the two had fuelled fears that a new, anti-Western axis was taking shape in the Middle East, in the form of Turkey, Syria and Iran. Damascus and Tehran have long been united in their opposition to Western interests in the region, and the suggestion that a key Nato ally such as Turkey might be lured into such an unholy alliance was greeted with deep concern by many in the West. The sudden crisis in Syria, however, has brought this realignment to an abrupt halt. Mr Erdogan has been obliged to condemn the “brutality” of the Assad regime’s uncompromising response to the anti-government protests – which has not only dealt a mortal blow to their alliance, but created a humanitarian crisis on his own doorstep. Indeed, Turkey’s anger at the Syrian government has led to Ankara threatening to back Western calls for a UN Security Council Resolution condemning the crackdown – a move that would have been unthinkable just a few weeks ago.Turkey’s denunciation of the Assad regime will also have repercussions for its new-found friendship with Iran, particularly since Tehran has been accused of sending detachments of its Revolutionary Guards to Damascus to ensure that its closest regional ally does not succumb to the protesters’ demands. One of the reasons Turkey has embarked on this more assertive approach to its foreign policy, and wooed its less savoury neighbours, is Ankara’s frustration over the seemingly interminable obstacles placed in the way of its attempts to secure EU membership. Britain has consistently argued that the EU would be foolhardy to ignore Turkey’s pivotal position in the eastern Mediterranean. But Ankara’s attempt to join the European club has been bitterly opposed by Germany and France, which believe that the accession of a predominantly Muslim state would undermine the union’s cultural foundations. As a result, rather than drawing closer to Europe, Turkey has launched a deliberate policy to strengthen its regional alliances at Europe’s expense. The rapprochement with Syria, for example, is a relatively recent development, in part motivated by Mr Erdogan’s desire to end Turkey’s strategic alliance with Israel.Of course, as the head of Turkey’s Justice and Development Party (AKP), which has its roots in various Islamist movements, Mr Erdogan was never going to enjoy an easy relationship with Israel. After he became prime minister, relations between the two countries gradually deteriorated, with tensions boiling after following Israel’s military intervention in Gaza in early 2009. The Turks responded by organising the so-called “Gaza Freedom Flotilla”, which ended with nine activists being killed when they became involved in violent clashes with Israeli commandos trying to prevent them from reaching the Gazan coast.Turkey’s deepening friendship with Iran is another example of the worrying international re-alignment that has taken place during Mr Erdogan’s eight years in power. Ankara’s attempt last year to derail the American-led effort to persuade Iran to freeze its nuclear enrichment programme caused deep irritation in Washington, and raised doubts about Turkey’s status as a key strategic partner in Nato. That strained relationship was certainly in evidence at the start of the Libya crisis, when Ankara opposed Nato’s plans to launch a UN-backed military intervention to protect anti-Gaddafi rebels. Senior officers say the Turks have frequently intervened during the bombing offensive to prevent key Gaddafi targets from being attacked. Many Western governments will now be hoping that the Syrian crisis prompts Ankara to reappraise its confrontational attitude, and work more closely with Europe and America on issues of mutual interest. The fact that the Turks last week hosted a conference of Syrian opposition figures certainly suggests the country is giving serious consideration to its regional alliances.Hmmmmm.......Read the full story here.
- Islamic Pakistan again tip off militants.(News24).Washington - In a further blow to Washington's relationship with Islamabad, US officials say Pakistan failed another test to prove it could be trusted to go after American enemies on its soil by intentionally or inadvertently tipping off militants at two more bomb-building factories in its tribal areas, giving the suspected terrorists time to flee. The two sites' locations in the tribal areas had been shared with the Pakistani government this past week, the officials said on Saturday. The Americans monitored the area with satellite and unmanned drones to see what would happen. In each case, within a day or so after sharing the information, they watched the militants depart, taking any weapons or bomb-making materials with them, just as militants had done two previous times. Only then, did they watch the Pakistani military visit each site, when the terror suspects and their wares were long gone, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss matters of intelligence. The Americans suspect that either lower-level Pakistani officials are directly tipping the militants off to the imminent raids, or the tips are coming through the local tribal elders that Pakistan insists on informing of the raids. US officials have pushed for Pakistan to keep the location of such targets secret prior to the operations, but the Pakistanis say their troops cannot enter the lawless tribal regions without giving the locals notice. The latest incidents bring to a total of four bomb-making sites that the US has shared with Pakistan only to have the terrorist suspects flee before Pakistani troops arrive. Both sides are attempting to mend relations and rebuild trust after the US raid on May 2 that killed Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, a Pakistani army town only 56km from the capital Islamabad. The Pakistanis believe the Americans violated their sovereignty by keeping them in the dark about the raid. American officials believe bin Laden's location proves that some elements of the Pakistani army or Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI, helped hide the al-Qaeda mastermind. "They are playing this very dangerous game ... by having elements of the ISI sympathetic to the Taliban and al-Qaeda," said House intelligence committee chair Mike Rogers, speaking on CBS television's Face the Nation on Sunday. Rogers said Pakistan's failure to apprehend the militants running the bomb-making factories "sends the wrong message" at a time congress is considering reducing some $1.5bn in annual aid to Islamabad in retaliation after the recent series of such disagreements.Read the full story here.
- Syria’s operations close to border may spark clash with Turkey.(TodaysZaman).The times of good relations between Turkey and Syria, during which the once-hostile neighbors were brought together politically, economically and socially for a period of time and which saw unprecedented agreements, such as the elimination of visa requirements and shared border crossing projects, may have taken a hit due to the Syrian army's brutal crackdown on opposition protestors and the civilian killings which are reported to have happened close to Turkey's border.Center for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies (ORSAM) expert Professor Veysel Ayhan warned that Turkey will not be a bystander if and when the Syrian army, which is located close to the Syrian-Turkish border, starts killing civilians in front of the eyes of Turkey.“Remember when NATO was accused by the international media and public of not being able to prevent 8,000 Muslim Bosnians from being murdered in front of the world's eyes? As a member of NATO and a country whose border is about to witness such a massacre by the Syrian army, Turkey will not allow such a thing to happen again, especially before its own eyes,” Ayhan told Today's Zaman. Top Turkish political and military officials have been paying visits to the border region lately to check on the status of Syrian refugees and get a perspective on the situation first hand. The high-level appearances sent a strong message to Syrian leadership that Turkey will not remain indifferent to what has been happening along the border areas with Syria, experts argued.Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu was in the area last Wednesday, visiting almost all tent cities, talking to Syrian refugees and responsible Turkish officials in person before leaving for Ankara to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s special envoy, Hassan Turkmani, the next day. During the meeting with Tukmani, Davutoğlu warned Syria about the ongoing crackdown on dissidents, urging Syrian security forces to stop resorting to violence and bloodshed. “We want a strong, stable, prosperous Syria. To achieve this we believe it is necessary to implement a comprehensive reform process towards democratization guaranteed by [Assad],” Davutoğlu told reporters after three hours of talks with Turkmani on Thursday morning.“In order to achieve this, the violence must stop immediately. Yesterday I clearly saw the fear in the eyes of the people, and I shared this,” he added, describing talks with Turkmani as friendly and Syria as Turkey’s “closest friend.”On Friday, the Turkish commander of the land forces, Gen. Erdal Ceylanoğlu, flew to Hatay, a border province where all the tent cities for the Syrian refugees are set up, to investigate the Turkish army facilities and sites, gathering information about the army stations along the border from officials. There are some reports that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan could be next on the list to visit the area, with some saying he might come as early as Monday if not in the immediately following days. The fighting in the Jisr al-Shughour area in the northern Idlib Governorate of Syria started nearly two weeks ago, and has displaced thousands of people, including some 10,100 who are being sheltered in three Turkish refugee camps. An estimated 5,000 more people are camped out on the Syrian side of the border. They hope to remain in Syria and avoid refugee status, but their resources are dwindling as the army tightens its grip on the area.On Saturday, Syrian troops backed by tanks and firing heavy machine guns swept into a village near the Turkish border, forcing more people displaced by the crackdown on anti-government protesters to flee across the frontier. The Local Coordination Committees of Syria, a group that documents protests, said troops backed by six tanks and several armored personnel carriers entered Bdama Saturday morning. The Syrians who fled to the border areas and are still in Syria told Today’s Zaman that some Syrian soldiers are deployed at a school in Bdama and that around 15,000 soldiers have been posted in several villages along the Turkish-Syrian border. The same people who live at the border due to the fear of the Syrian army also said that the Syrian army has cordoned off the border area between Az Zawf and Bdama in order to prevent the Syrians who are fleeing from their hometowns from crossing into Turkey.“We were told that there were armed men [from the opposition groups] in the villages we live in and thus they were evacuated. Yet where are those armed men?” A Syrian refugee who just arrived in Turkey and wants to remain anonymous to protect himself asks.“They tell people on Syrian TV that the people who flee to Turkey are terrorists. The majority of people who live in the tent cities are women and children. How could they be labeled as terrorists?” the same Syrian told Today’s Zaman.Hmmmm.......Lots off 'reforming lately in Syria.Read the full story here.

- Islam is the only religion that does not adhere to the Golden Rule. The closest that Islam comes to this principle is a hadith that says
“None of you [truly] believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.” Number 13 of Imam “Al-Nawawi’s Forty Hadiths.”
This brotherhood however does not extend to everyone. Quran (9:23) states that the believers should not take for friends and protectors (awlia) their fathers and brothers if they love Infidelity above Islam. In fact there are many verses that tell the Muslims to kill the unbelievers and be harsh with them. A clear example that Islam is not based on the Golden Rule is the verse (48:29) It says: “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other.” There are many other verses that show the brotherhood in Islam is not universal. The rest of mankind have no rights and should not be treated in the same way that Muslims are to be treated. The entire Quran is the breach of the Golden Rule. Quran tells Muslims to slay the unbelievers wherever they find them (2:191), do not befriend them (3:28), fight them and show them harshness (9:123), and smite their heads (47:4). Source.
- Brussels: Police claim they are forced to fast on Ramadan.(IslamInEurope).Police agents in the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek have to take part in the Ramadan: they may not eat or drink during the day and may not give tickets, internal police sources told Het Laatste Nieuws. This was confirmed by the NSPV police union. A spokesperson for the municipality denies the claims.Bart Velle, head of NSPV for the Brussels municipalities, says that he's gotten multiple complaints on this issue, for several years now. There is no official memo on the topic. "I get complaints from colleagues about it, and I believe those people. But there's nothing on paper. I have no proof," says Velle.Velle says he gets such complaints only from Molenbeek, not from other police zones. The measures serves not to stir up emotions during Ramadan, he says.According to Het Laatste Nieuws, this is a direct order from mayor Philippe Moureaux. Moureaux told that paper that he did not give such orders. The Molenbeek police had nobody available for comment, but a municipality spokesperson denies the allegations. "It's not true. there's no order to take part in the Ramadan. Agents may not eat or smoke in the street. But that's never permissible." She also denied that there's a ban on giving tickets. "It's wrong to say that [the police] are more tolerant during this period. The agents must give tickets as usual."The spokesperson says that these claims are repeated every year, and that the municipality has to constantly correct the misunderstanding.Hmmmm.......Read the full story here.
