'Moderate' IRAN: Female political prisoners in Evin prison stage hunger strike.(INU).

Nine female political prisoners in ward 350 of Evin prison staged a hunger strike to protest at a savage assault by the prison’s security unit. The assaulting force composed of around 20 female torturers physically searched and battered the political prisoners and psychologically tortured them.

Twenty-six political prisoners of Gohardasht prison in Karaj have issued a statement in protest at the brutal assault against political prisoners in Evin. Part of this statement reads: “We, the political prisoners, declare our protest at this inhumane and illegal treatment and express our concern for the safety of prisoners in the female section of ward 350 of Evin prison who are on a hunger strike.”
