'Moderate' Iran ready to export engineering services to last Sovjet era dictatorship Belarus. (Taz).
President Hassan Rouhani in meeting with Belarus Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey voiced Tehranˈs readiness to export technical and engineering services to Belarus, IRNA reported.During the meeting in Tehran on Monday, President Rouhani pointed to Tehran-Minsk friendly, cordial and strong relations, and underlined the need to use the existing potentials between the two countries to enhance bilateral ties in diverse areas.
He further praised the scientific and academic cooperation between Iran and Belarus, calling for further development of such ties.
The Belarus foreign minister, for his part, described the Islamic Republic of Iran as an ally of Belarus, and voiced Minsk's eagerness to forge closer ties with Tehran.
Tehran and Minsk have in recent months increased efforts to start a jump in mutual cooperation.
Iran and Belarus have recently widened their areas of economic cooperation. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on road transportation cooperation in March 2012.
The two countries also announced in March that they plan to establish a join trading company to help expand their bilateral ties and exchanges.
