Iran - "Spinning the Truth".(Taz)(Jpost)
- Thursday - Iran still stalling U.N. nuclear inquiry as deal deadline looms: IAEA.
- Friday - Iran: IAEA report verifies Iran transparency.
Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says the agency’s leaked report verifies Tehran’s “full transparency” in its nuclear program, Press TV reported.
“Iran has cooperated completely and indeed made the possibility for the IAEA to verify all aspects of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and … the technical details of the report show full transparency on behalf of Iran,” said Reza Najafi in an exclusive interview with Press TV on Friday.
The report also shows that the agency has had “full monitoring” over Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, Najafi added.
“The major part [of the report] is related to the implementation of the safeguard agreements which indicates that IAEA has full monitoring over all places and activities with details of the locations, the number of centrifuges, the amount of materials whether enriched or not enriched,” he stated.
The Iranian official rejected as undocumented the IAEA’s claims with regard to Iran’s Marivan site, saying the agency has failed to provide any evidence for its allegations so far.
(Reuters) - Iran has still not addressed specific issues that could feed suspicions it may have researched an atomic bomb, a U.N. watchdog report showed on Thursday, potentially complicating efforts by six powers to clinch a nuclear deal with Tehran.
Iran and U.S. negotiators will resume talks over Tehran's nuclear programme in Geneva on Friday to narrow remaining gaps aimed at ending a 12-year standoff with the powers, Iran's state news agency IRNA reported.
The confidential report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), obtained by Reuters, said Tehran was continuing to withhold full cooperation in two areas of a long-running IAEA investigation that it had committed to giving by August last year.
"Iran has not provided any explanations that enable the agency to clarify the outstanding practical measures," the IAEA said, referring to allegations of explosives tests and other activity that could be used to develop nuclear bombs.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday accused Iran of concealing its plans to develop nuclear weapons, citing a report by the UN nuclear watchdog which credited Tehran with being in compliance with an agreement it struck with the Western powers.
Netanyahu, however, released a statement insisting that the report indicates Iran continues to be engaged in obfuscation.
"The IAEA report again notes that Iran is refusing to reveal to the world its preparations for the production of nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said. “Iran insists on hiding this from the international community at a time when the major powers are continuing to try and allow Iran to produce the core of such weapons, enriched uranium. These do not go together.”
“The major powers do not need to court Iran to agree to accept the possibility of producing nuclear weapons even as the latter refuses to divulge the details of the preparations for its nuclear weapons," the prime minister said.
Tehran's development of advanced centrifuges is sensitive because, if successful, it could enable it to produce potential nuclear bomb material at a rate several times that of the decades-old version of the machine now in use. Hmmmm......It's obvious Iran is still hiding something meanwhile the Obama 'Admin' wants a 'deal' no matter if it will cost 6 million Jewish lives.Read the full story here and here.

.@ArminRosen asks what most don't: Apart from Iran's maximalist demands, why does Khamenei need so many centrifuges? http://t.co/2piTRcGdCI
