Video - Sheriff David Clarke Rips AG Holder's Attitude towards Cops at Senate Hearing

Clarke begins by citing the portion of the mission statement of the Department of Justice which reads, “’To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law,’ let me repeat that, according to the law, ‘to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic, to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime, to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior and to ensure impartial administration of justice for all Americans.”

This must be a document that Holder has never seen before, as he violated every one of those critical responsibilities on a consistent basis.

Sheriff Clarke points out that in his 36 years of law enforcement experience, he’s always viewed the DOJ as an ally, but that all changed under Eric Holder. He notes that what he has experienced under Holder has bordered on hostility, both in policy and in statements in which he treats the local police officers as adversaries rather than the allies they should be.

Clarke also calls out Holder on his inflammatory conduct and comments in regards to the disturbances in Ferguson, noting that Holder contributed to creating “a rallying cry for cop haters across America.” Read the full story here.
