Purim joke? Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei allegedly was hospitalised in Tehran.(SP).
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was admitted to hospital in a serious condition in Tehran on Thursday, the Jerusalem Post said, citing unofficial reports.
The newspaper alleged that the 75-year-old's prostate cancer has "spread to the rest of the body." Khamenei underwent prostate surgery last September. Iranian state media described the operation as routine and successful.
In 2010, The Guardian reported that US authorities had obtained information that Khamenei had been diagnosed with a terminal form of leukemia. Hmmm.....Rumors have it the Obama 'admin' is sending their best doctors. Read the full story here.
More here from JewishbusinessNews Who calls it a 'Purim miracle'
Khamenei’s official website, which lists all his official events, was last updated February 18, 2015, with the Supreme Leader’s Speech in Meeting with Air Force Commanders and Personnel. His Tweeter account, quoted so lavishly by PM Netanyahu on Tuesday, has not been updated in several days.
Buy flowers? Is that a Shiite thing?
Incidentally, on Purim, 1953, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin died in the midst of the infamous “Doctors’ Trial” that accused Jewish doctors of treason against the USSR, where a conviction would have resulted in mass executions of Jews.
