  • The Root of the Arab-Israeli Conflict: The Classic Islamic View of Jews. From the day Israel was established, the Muslim world has been hostile towards the State of Israel. This has been increasing over the years, despite the efforts of so many to settle the conflict. Although Israel signed Peace Agreements with Egypt and Jordan, nevertheless, many leaders in the Arab world, including Egyptian and Jordanian officials, make anti-Zionist and even anti-Semitic statements, and oppose normalization with Israel. When asked why, they answer that this peace is between governments, and not between the people of their countries.Trying to find solutions to the Arab-Israeli conflict, politicians and statesmen have spent endless hours with experts on Islam to understand the roots of the conflict. They have usually heard two answers: "The root of the problem is territorial," and "The root of the problem is religious; it stems from the classic Islamic view of Jews as evil."Read the full story here.

  • No Safe Harbor on Gulf Coast; Human Blood Tests Show Dangerous Levels of Toxic Exposure.Even as BP and US government officials continue to declare the oil spill over at Mississippi Canyon 252 and the cleanup operation an unqualified success, for the first time blood tests on sickened humans have shown signs of exposure to high levels of toxic chemicals related to crude oil and dispersants. Some of the individuals tested have not been on the beaches, were not involved in any cleanup operations or in the Gulf water -- they simply live along the Gulf Coast. Several of them are now leaving the area due to a combination of illness and economic hardship. As it evaporates and becomes airborne, the toxic compounds have moved on shore, creating health impacts that, although apparently large from the numbers of people affected, the full extent is unknown. BP and the US government have effectively been performing the largest chemical experiment in history on a civilian population without their knowledge or consent.Read the full story here

  • RESTORING CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT....... HT:The Tundra Tabloids would also add that there needs to be an insistence on term limits as well as ending voting precincts that favor each parties candidates, such rigging of the voting sytem has in part, led to the current troubles and reduced the citizen's voting power, because it has allowed for party hacks to enjoy public office over more other deserving candidates. This end, I contended, can be achieved only if the Republicans appropriate for their own use a claim falsely but effectively advanced by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1936 which – thanks to our current President, his Chief of Staff, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Majority Leader in the United States Senate — now rings all too true: that today the American republic is threatened by a conspiracy, that “a small group” of individuals, lead by Obama, Emanuel, Pelosi, and Reid, is intent on concentrating “into their own hands an almost complete control over other people’s property, other people’s money, other people’s labor — other people’s lives.” If they wish to effect a realignment, I argued, all that the Republicans have to do is to complete the task of unmasking begun by Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and Emanuel and make it clear that they really do intend to repeal Obamacare, to balance the federal budget without enacting permanent tax increases, to roll back the scope and size of the administrative state, and to restore within these United States limited, constitutional government.Read the full story here.

  • An Interview With David Limbaugh About His #1 Best Selling Book “Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama”.First question, in your mind is it fair to call Barack Obama a socialist? In a word, yes. I think it’s fair almost to call him a Marxist. John, he has a visceral contempt, an abiding contempt for capitalism, and while he holds himself out as a fierce advocate of the market, he’s constantly badgering and bullying capitalism. He calls bankers “fat cat bankers.” He resents legitimate profits made in the private sector. He talks about insurance companies’ “obscene profits” when they, of course, were making modest profits at the same time he was characterizing them. He wants to radically redistribute wealth.Read the full story here.

  • Jihad At The Cordoba Cathedral: Halfway To A Whole Mosque? As noted in Andrew Bostom's essay debunking the just-can't-shake-it myth of Islamic "tolerance" in Muslim Spain, by the middle of the 8th century, the cathedral in Cordoba dedicated to Saint Vincent had been "converted" to a Muslim mosque. However, as 19th-century scholar of Muslim Spain (and Islamophile) Reinhart Dozy writes, this was "clearly an act of spoilation as well as an infraction of the treaty" between Cordoba Christians and the invading Arab Muslims.A must read!Read the full story here.

  • Those Who Hold Talks With Israel Are 'Very Stupid'.Iran doesn’t seem to be too happy about the Middle East peace talks that have resumed in Washington, D.C.Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has dismissed the talks, while the Iranian Foreign Ministry has described them as futile.Today, the head of Iran’s Basij force, General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, was quoted as saying that those who hold talks with Israel are "very stupid.""Those who hold talks with the Zionist regime are very stupid, as when this fake regime was at the height of its power and succeeded to advance to Lebanon's capital, these very people stood up to it...And now that Israel is experiencing maximum weakness, misery and siege, taking steps for holding talks is indicative of maximum imbecility and stupidity," Iran’s semi-official Labor news agency (ILNA) quoted Naqdi as saying today.Naqdi continued: "Today is the day when they should be hard on the occupying Israel and put an end to this row."The Basij commander said the talks will fail and added that in 10 to 15 years there will be no country called Israel.Read the full story here.

  • Ron Radosh’s Elegant Challenge to Imam Rauf’s Naive Supporters.Pajamas Media’s great historian and blogger Ron Radosh and I have clashed a bit on the nature of Islam and its potential for moderation but on the now-notorious Ground Zero Mosque we’ve found few areas of disagreement. And I’ve appreciated the subtle, precise approach that Ron has employed on the issue — different than the flamethrower we usually employ at NRB.Ron has just published a fantastic new post responding to an intellectual who is struggling with the necessary Second Thoughts on the intent of Imam Rauf.Read the full story here.

  • HT:IsraelMatzav.Obama abandons the Negroponte doctrine. In the 'bad old days' of George W. Bush, US veto policy at the United Nations was dictated by something called the Negroponte doctrine, which was named after then-US ambassador to the United Nations John Negroponte. The Negroponte Doctrine, which was explicitly posted on the website of the U.S. mission to the United Nations in 2003, says .We will not support any resolution that dodges the explicit threat to Middle East peace posed by Hamas and other such terrorist groups....Any Security Council resolution...must contain...an explicit condemnation of Hamas [and other] organizations responsible for acts of terrorism; and...call for dismantling the infrastructure, which supports these terror operations. But if the Obama administration's handling of the Mavi Marmara issue at the United Nations is any indication, the Negroponte doctrine may have gone the way of balanced budgets.Read the full story here.
