• HT:BigPeace.FBI Has No Problem with Imam?Officials with the FBI’s Chicago field office said they had no problem with Kifah Mustapha, an Illinois imam who was named as an unindicted coconspirator by federal prosecutors in a 2008 terror trial, participating in a Bureau Citizens’ Academy and touring the secret National Counterterrorism Center.FBI spokesman Ross Rice said Mustapha has never been convicted of a crime or charged with a crime. “If we thought he was a security risk, we wouldn’t have included him,” Rice told Bill Gertz of the Washington Times.It seems the Chicago Bureau didn’t look very hard.An Investigative Project on Terrorism investigation has found that Mustapha, an imam at the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview, Ill., has an extensive history of raising money for groups tied to Hamas, the Islamist terror organization designated by the US government. That particularly includes the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the group for which Mustapha has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. • Two tone river: Shocking images reveal the deadly toxic sludge draining into the river Danube.Aerial images over the river Danube reveal the overbearing disaster that pushed Hungary into a state of emergency.The torrent of toxic sludge which tore through three villages 160 km west of Budapest, has killed seven people after an 81-year-old man died today from injuries sustained from the river. Two bodies were also found on the outskirts of Devecser, Hungary.Environmental group WWF circulated images today, suggesting the reservoir may have been leaking as far back as June.The red sludge has devastated creeks and rivers near the spill site after entering the river Danube on Thursday, moving downstream toward Hungary's immediate neighbors, Croatia, Serbia and Romania.However, the sheer volume flowing in Europe's second largest river appeared to be blunting the red sludge's immediate impact.The Hungarian Government has appealed to its citizens not to flee the country as fears grew of a cloud of toxic airborne dust following the massive industrial spillage.As the sludge dries out it is turning to dust and there are fears of widespread breathing problems as a result.Read and see the full story here.Click here for comments.

• New Blood Evidence Found in Lake Pirate Attack.Sheriff Reports Blood on Tiffany Hartley's Life Vest Supports Her Account of Attack on Falcon Lake. this evidence is in addition to witness testimony that supports Tiffany Hartley's story that her husband was shot in the head by pirates on Mexico side of Falcon Lake.David Hartley is presumed dead, and officials on both the U.S. and Mexican sides of the lake are searching for his body.Gonzalez told Teague he believes the Hartleys were attacked by enforcers of the Zeta drug cartel. The Hartleys, Gonzalez says, were innocent victims of a bloody drug war. Korean Official: Kim Jong Un Will Be Next Leader.As North Korea prepares to celebrate the 65th anniversary of its ruling Workers' Party this weekend, a top official has confirmed that Kim Jong Il's youngest son will be the nation's next leader.Yang Hyong Sop, a senior official in the Workers' Party, told The Associated Press in Pyongyang that Kim Jong Un, the leader's youngest son, will succeed his father. It's the first public confirmation about Kim Jong Il's succession plan.He would be the third successive generation of his family to lead the nation of 24 million. • Iran :'Genius' Blogger Sentenced To 15 Years.Iranian blogger Hossein Maleki Ronaghi has been reportedly sentenced to 15 years in prison.Ronaghi’s mother, Zoleikha Mousavi, told the BBC's Persian service that authorities informed him about the heavy prison sentence verbally.She said that Ronaghi has been on a hunger strike since October 3 to protest his mistreatment in prison.
