  • Arab princess comes to Israel dying, walks away smiling.Under a heavy veil of secrecy, an unidentified princess from one of the Persian Gulf states departed Israel this week after undergoing live-saving heart surgery two months earlier. The 60-something princess arrived in Israel via Cyprus to avoid suspicion. Israel’s ministries of foreign affairs, health and interior maintained that secrecy for the couple’s safety. The emergency medical procedure, which took place at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, was set up by Israeli Druze lawmaker Ayoub Kara (Likud). It so happened that the princess’ personal doctor is also Druze, and an acquaintance of Kara’s.Kara told Israel Today, “I saw [the princess] before the surgery. She arrived to Israel dying, but she left smiling. Her husband had already lost hope. He told me that had she not come to Israel she would already be dead.”Indeed, when the princess arrived in Israel, her condition had deteriorated so much that she was no longer able to stand or walk. By the time she left, the princess was able to walk and appeared far more healthy. She told Kara that the experience had drastically altered her view of Israel.

  • HT:NPR.President Obama Picks Jan. 25 For State Of Union Speech. For those who've been waiting to mark it on their calendars, President Obama and Congress have agreed he will deliver his 2011 State of the Union speech on Tuesday, Jan. 25.It will be the first presidential speech to a joint session of Congress of the new era of a Republican House majority. Thus, there will be some new visuals to take in — not the least of which will be the sight of the new House speaker, Rep. John Boehner, sitting behind the president alongside Vice President Biden. In his official invitation to the president, Boehner alluded to the Tucson tragedy:Recent events have reminded us of the imperfect nature of our representative democracy, but also how much we cherish the ideal that our government exists to serve the people. Even in the wake of tragedy, we must never waiver (sic) from our obligation to carry out their will and provide solutions to keep moving our nation forward.
Hmmmm....."our government exists to serve the people". that must have hurt?Read the full story here.

  • HT:Challah Hu Akbar. There is Silence When It Comes to Promoting Religious Freedom.Elliott Abrams at the Council for Foreign Relations examines the independence referendum in Sudan. He notes: "The reports of millions of southern Sudanese voting in the referendum on independence are a reminder that democracy and self-rule are not a luxury that only the rich can afford. While there has been violence, some of it apparently the fault of northern Sudan, the overall picture is remarkably positive." But the need for such a referendum is what should concern us:There are many ways of seeing the independence vote, but surely one is the failure here -- again -- of an Arab government to make it possible for Christians to live in peace and security. In fact the only Christian community in the Middle East that appears to be growing is that in Israel. The last few weeks have seen violence against Christians in Egypt and Iraq, and the rise of Hizballah in Lebanon has cornered the Maronite community there in many ways as well. Here the southern Sudanese are lucky, for the geography of those other countries makes thoughts of independence for their Christian minorities impossible. Christians in most of the Middle East will have to continue their difficult struggle for civil equality, personal safety, political power, and full religious freedom. The way to reverse this, of course, is through presidential leadership. Cliff surmises: "It would be useful for President Obama to speak out, but my guess is that those he trusts are advising against it -- indeed, are not connecting the dots and seeing a pattern."I would suggest this is a central failing of Obama's "Muslim Outreach." He has largely told Muslim leaders what they want to hear. He told Iran in the opening weeks of his administration that America's lack of humility had spurred anti-Americanism. He told the crowd in Cairo that Palestinians were akin to enslaved African Americans. He has told the Palestinians that the root of their conflict with Israel is the settlements. All of that is both inaccurate and unhelpful. True outreach should include a clear enunciation of our interests and our expectations of states who want good relations with the U.S. Egypt's Hosni Mubarak needs to end his thuggish tactics if he wants American aid and investment to keep flowing. The Saudis need to make good on the promise to President George W. Bush to remove anti-Semitic references and intolerant rhetoric from text books. The Palestinian National Authority needs to stop naming town squares after terrorists. And, yes, the Muslim countries need to end persecution and discrimination of Christians and Jews in their countries. It may be difficult to devise effective sanctions for abuse of religious minorities. But if we don't deliver candid assessments, we will accomplish nothing. Perhaps another trip to Cairo is in order. And this time, the president could present the inconvenient truths about the Muslim nations' treatment of women, Christians, dissidents and democracy advocates.Hmmmmm....But this might be against his"Belief"?Read the full story here.

  • UK - Muslim leader 'raped young boy as he attended mosque for religious lessons'.A Muslim worship leader is accused of serially raping a young boy during visits to a mosque for religious lessons.Mohammed Hanif Khan, 42, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the boy, who was 12 years old at the time, inside the mosque where he worked as the Imam.He is also charged with the attempted rape of and sexual activity with the boy's cousin, who was 15 at the time, during a sleep-over at his home one evening.Khan, who appeared in front of Nottingham Crown Court today wearing a black suit, white shirt and red tie, spoke only to confirm his name and to enter not guilty pleas to all eight charges against him.He is charged with three counts of rape, four counts of attempted rape and one count of sexual activity with a child, all of which are alleged to have taken place on various dates between July and October 2009.Mr Khan said the defendant chose different places within the mosque that were not covered by CCTV cameras, one of which was the area near the building's bins.Mr Khan said the boy described the defendant asking him before the alleged abuse, 'Do you want some?' and when he said no, the defendant would say 'For God's sake, just say yes'.'It was in October 2009, shortly after the youngster told his father about the incidents, that the family also became concerned about his cousin as he had become reluctant to attend the mosque after spending the night at Khan's home.Mr Khan said the 12-year-old finally broke the news of the abuse to his father by telling him 'Dad, in the mosque Sheikh Sahib has been taking my trousers down.'Mr Khan said the boy told police in his interviews that the defendant was considered a very important figure among the Muslim community.Hmmmm.....Reminds me of the story on Obama's security dog called "Khan".Read the full dog story here.

  • HT:Aina.Iraq's Religious Leaders Looking for Peace. Some of Iraq's top religious leaders gather in Copenhagen this week for a three-day closed-door summit to try to end the sectarian violence that has recently struck the country's Christian community.Eight of Iraq's 'most influential' Muslim and Christian religious leaders are due to take part, according to the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East (FRRME).Together with Denmark's foreign ministry, the Foundation organised the high-level crisis meeting. The identities of the participants have been kept secret for their own safety.'Negotiations will be difficult and delicate,' cautioned FRRME head Andrew White, who is the vicar of St George's Church in Baghdad.'These men have significant enmity towards each other yet they are willing to meet,' he said in a statement.'If they can work together they have the power to bring peace. If not, the situation in Iraq will only get worse.'The meeting of the High Council of Religious Leaders in Iraq (HCRLI), which was founded by the Foundation, will involve religious leaders representing Sunni, Shia, Kurds, Sadrists and Christians. The summit will be closed to the media to try to preserve 'the serenity and the confidentiality of the discussions,' organisation committee member Steven Jensen told AFP.The meeting will be held in Copenhagen because it would be too risky to hold it in Iraq, said the organisers. Even in the Danish capital, security would be high.Copenhagen Bishop Peter Skov-Jensen will host the meeting. In 2008, a similar meeting, also organised by Denmark and the HCRLI, resulted in the Copenhagen Accord, which opened the way for the first-ever joint Sunni-Shia Fatwa in Iraq. The Fatwa, or Islamic religious decree, condemned violence and terrorism, and recognised the rights of religious and ethnic minorities.Hmmmm....And we all witnessed the result of that Fatwa?Read the full story here.

  • Update- Hezbollah, allies topple Lebanon government.Ministers from Shiite movement, its political allies resign Wednesday afternoon, forcing collapse of Prime Minister Saad Hariri's cabinet.Lebanese minister Adnan Sayyed Hussein resigned on Wednesday, the state news agency said, bringing to 11 the number of ministerial resignations and effectively collapsing the government of Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri.Hussein's move followed the resignation of 10 ministers from Lebanon's Hezbollah movement and its political allies, who called on President Michel Suleiman to form a new government. The resignation coincided with Prime Minister Hariri's meeting with US President Barack Obama in Washington.Lebanon could now face a prolonged political impasse and heightened sectarian tension, but analysts said they did not expect any open military confrontation pitting Hezbollah, backed by Syria and Iran, against the Sunni Muslim followers of Hariri, who is supported by Saudi Arabia and the United States. However, street protests, skirmishes or even a return to the bombings and political killings that followed Rafik al-Hariri's assassination in 2005 cannot be ruled out, the analysts said.Read the full story here.More here and here.

  • HT:SultanKnish.Putting a Bullseye on the Constitution. There is hardly a better way to degrade the entire idea of political speech than by classing everyone who is in any way critical of the government as "anti-government". Such a label creates two camps, the camp of government and the camp of everyone unhappy with government, and defines the latter camp by the actions of a psychotic killer, who was unhappy with government, grammar and higher mathematics, among a seemingly inexhaustible supply of other things. Such a course is not only intellectually dishonest, it is also far more dangerous than slapping a bullseye across a congressman.A bullseye on a single politician endangers only that politician, but criminalizing political speech ultimately endangers every politician and the First Amendment. If Jared Loughner took aim and fired at a Republican judge and a Democratic congresswoman, those in the majority party who are trying to use him as an excuse for undermining free speech, are taking aim and firing at the United States Constitution and the freedoms that make democracy possible. After 9/11, some liberals claimed that the Bush Administration was tearing up the Constitution over the deaths of a few thousand people by an organized worldwide terrorist network. Yet now they feel compelled to attack the 1st and 2nd amendments of the Bill of Rights over the deaths of a far smaller number of people at the hands of madman who acted alone. And it isn't the first time. While the murder of a judge and the wounding of a congresswoman are crimes to be condemned, they do not threaten our freedoms and our way of life. But putting a bullseye on the Constitution may not spill any blood, threatens not just the victims of a single crime, but us all.Read the full story here.

  • HT:LogisticsMonster.Virginia To Look At Alternative Currency System In Case Federal Reserve Collapses.Virginia is stepping up yet again as the first state to take up an vital issue. First it was the constitutionality of the mandate inside Obamacare, and now they are studying an alternative currency system for Virginia in the likelihood the Federal Reserve crashes. This concept can’t happen fast enough in every single state in the republic. Let your state legislators know that you expect them to take up the issue of some type of replacement currency for Federal Reserve Notes. We average Americans should not be the only ones prepared for the currency collapse and ensuing chaos that will surely follow. States must have a plan in place for the day when the piper must be paid.If you want to understand the math of the never-ending debt cycle, check out The Economic Collapse’s piece that follows ZeroHedge’s story below. I suggest you read it in it’s entirety, and then pass it along to your email lists. This is the master wealth redistribution plan at it’s worst. In what may one day be heralded as the formal proposal that proverbially started it all, the Commonwealth of Virginia introduced House Resolution No. 557 to establish a joint subcommittee to “to study whether the Commonwealth should adopt a currency to serve as an alternative to the currency distributed by the Federal Reserve System in the event of a major breakdown of the Federal Reserve System.” In other words, Virginia will study the fallback plan of a “timely adoption of an alternative sound currency that the Commonwealth’s government and citizens may employ without delay in the event of the destruction of the Federal Reserve System’s currency” and avoid or “at least mitigate many of the economic, social, and political shocks to be expected to arise from hyperinflation, depression, or other economic calamity related to the breakdown of the Federal Reserve System.” Most importantly as pertain to the currency in question, “Americans may employ whatever currency they choose to stipulate as the medium for payment of their private debts, including gold or silver, or both, to the exclusion of a currency not redeemable in gold or silver that Congress may have designated ‘legal tender’.” Whether this resolution will ever get off the ground, and actually find that the world is at great risk should gold not be instituted as a backstop currency, is irrelevant. The mere fact that it is out there, should provide sufficient impetus to other states to consider the ultimate Plan B.We urge all legislators to carefully read this resolution.Hmmmm....."Return to the "Gold Standard"?Full proposal pdf.Read the full story here.

  • HT:TheWorstPoliticalblog.Man Indicted in Maryland for Threatening Federal Judge and President Obama.Yesterday in U.S. District Court in Maryland, a grand jury indicted a man named Willie Ray Bryant for mailing threats to U.S. District Judge William Quarles and President Barack Obama. The indictment says that in September Bryant mailed “a communication” to Quarles “containing a threat to injure him with a mailed explosive device.” As for Obama, Bryant is accused of sending him a letter in October that stated, “I just hope Allah grants me the opportunity to be the one who chops off your head,” according to the indictment, along with “die, die, die!!!” and “If I ever get out I promise you I’m coming after you.The last phrase suggests Bryant is an inmate. According to online Maryland court records, a man of that name, born June 1970, was convicted of armed robbery in Wicomico County Circuit Court in 2004 and was sentenced to 40 years. • Enforcing the Peace. How the Great Powers Can Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse. In late August and September 2010, when direct negotiations seemed at last on the verge of replacing proximity talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians, speculation ran high in the Obama administration that face-to-face meetings between the two negotiating teams, hosted by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, could at last produce an accord of enduring substance. Among several veterans of Middle East diplomacy, Martin Indyk, a former U.S. ambassador to Israel, was explicit in his optimism that the breakthrough moment was at hand, writing in The New York Times that "the negotiating environment is better suited to peacemaking today than it has been at any point in the last decade." In view of Israel's on-and-off settlement construction in the West Bank, however, and the frequent postponements of the Israeli-Palestinian dialogue, it is fair to ask if such optimism is really warranted. For precedent, one may hark back to the sequence of nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century great-power conclaves -- of London, Paris, and Berlin, among others -- that established the independence or guaranteed the security of countries as diverse as Greece (1829), Serbia (1856), and Bulgaria and Romania (1878), or to the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, which sculpted an aggregation of European successor states and Middle Eastern mandates from the debris of the prewar empires. Similarly, in the wake of World War II, the United Nations selectively acknowledged or postponed the demands of postimperial claimants to diplomatic recognition.Hmmmmm.....The U.N. • HT:BarracudaBrigade.Video and transcript - "America's Enduring Strength" by Sarah Palin. No one should be deterred from speaking up and speaking out in peaceful dissent, and we certainly must not be deterred by those who embrace evil and call it good. And we will not be stopped from celebrating the greatness of our country and our foundational freedoms by those who mock its greatness by being intolerant of differing opinion and seeking to muzzle dissent with shrill cries of imagined insults.America must be stronger than the evil we saw displayed last week. We are better than the mindless finger-pointing we endured in the wake of the tragedy. We will come out of this stronger and more united in our desire to peacefully engage in the great debates of our time, to respectfully embrace our differences in a positive manner, and to unite in the knowledge that, though our ideas may be different, we must all strive for a better future for our country. • U.N. may help Lebanon protect offshore reserves.BEIRUT: The U.N. may be able to assist Lebanon in protecting oil and gas reserves in the eastern Mediterranean from Israeli exploitation, the organization’s special coordinator said Monday. Michael Williams’ remarks followed a request from Prime Minister Saad Hariri during a weekend meeting with Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that the U.N. safeguards Lebanon’s exclusive economic zone, which may contain billions of cubic meters of fossil fuel. Williams held talks Monday with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Foreign Minister Ali al-Shami and Minister of State for Administrative Reform Mohammad Fneish to discuss the possibility of the U.N. providing support in delineating Lebanon’s maritime borders. “There may be a role for the U.N. and we have to discuss it with the U.N.’s lawyers in New York,” Williams told reporters. “But I think it is important that this issue move forward.” Shami sent a letter to New York last week asking for U.N. support in preventing Israel tapping oil and gas resources under the eastern Mediterranean seabed. A private petrochemical company has estimated the amount of fossil fuel reserves in Israeli waters to be 450 billion cubic meters; Minister of State Adnan Qassar said Lebanon’s share should prove to be significantly greater. Lebanon claims it submitted detailed coordinates to the U.N. last year stating the boundary of its exclusive economic zone in which oil and gas is contained. Williams admitted that Lebanon and Israel’s state of war made border demarcation a particularly thorny issue. But Shami accused Israel Monday of breaking international law by allowing energy firms to explore for offshore gas in the absence of a sea border agreement.Shami told Reuters in an interview that no company should be allowed to operate in waters off Lebanon and Israel, which remain in a formal state of war, until their territorial waters were internationally recognized.

  • The Turkish role in negotiations with Iran. The P5+1 talks with Iran will resume Jan. 21-22. For those not tuned into the obscure jargon of the diplomatic world, these are the talks between the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council (the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia), plus Germany — hence, P5+1. These six countries will be negotiating with one country, Iran. The meetings will take place in Istanbul under the aegis of yet another country, Turkey. Turkey has said it would only host this meeting, not mediate it. It will be difficult for Turkey to stay in this role. The Iranians have achieved a similar position. By far the weakest of the negotiators, they have created a dynamic whereby they are not only sitting across the table from the six most powerful countries in the world but are also, like the North Koreans, frequently being coaxed there. With the obvious blessings of the others, a seventh major power, Turkey, has positioned itself to facilitate and perhaps mediate between the two sides: the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany on one side, Iran on the other. This is such an extraordinary line-up that I can’t help repeating it.As STRATFOR has said and WikiLeaks has confirmed, it is the Saudis who are currently pressing the United States to do something about Iran, not because of nuclear weapons but because of the conventional shift in the balance of power. While Iran could easily withstand the destruction of weapons that it does not have, its real fear is that the United States will launch a conventional air war designed to cripple Iran’s conventional forces — its naval and armored capability, particularly. The destruction of Iranian naval power is critical, since Iran’s most powerful countermove in a war would be to block the Strait of Hormuz with mines, anti-ship missiles and swarming suicide craft, cutting off the substantial flow of oil that comes out of the strait. Such a cutoff would shatter the global economic recovery. This is Iran’s true “nuclear” option. Then there are the Turks. The Turks opposed the U.S. invasion of Iraq because they expected it to fail to establish a viable government in Baghdad and thereby to destroy the balance of power between Iraq and Iran. The Turks have also tried to avoid being drawn into the south beyond dealing with threats from Turkish Kurds operating out of Iraq. At the same time, Turkey has been repositioning itself as both a leading power in the Muslim world and the bridge between the Muslim world and the West, particularly the United States. Now the Turks must face their dilemma. It is all very good to want to negotiate as a neutral party, but the most important party isn’t at the table: Saudi Arabia. Turkey wants to play a dominant role in the Muslim world without risking too much in terms of military force. The problem for Turkey, therefore, is not so much bringing the United States and Iran closer but bringing the Saudis and Iranians closer, and that is a tremendous challenge not only because of religious issues but also because Iran wants to be what Saudi Arabia opposes most: the dominant power in the region. The Turkish problem is to reconcile the fundamental issue in the region, which is the relationship between Persians and Arabs. The Turks do not want an air war in Iran. The do not want chaos in Iraq. They do not want to choose between Persians and Arabs. They do not want an Iranian regional hegemon. There are many things the Turks do not want. The question is: What they do want? And what risks are they prepared to take to get it? The prime risk they must take is in Iraq — to limit, not block, Iranian power and to provide a threat to Iran if it goes too far in the Arabian Peninsula. This can be done, but it is not how the Turks have behaved in the last century or so. Things have changed.Hmmmm....Sooner or later Turkey will have to show it's real face and they won't be on the side of the US, Israel or their allies, they are pro Iran.At least the Saudis understand this much.GET Turkey out of NATO!Read the full story here.

The minister and his Saudi Arabian counterpart, who is in Ankara to discuss regional issues, also urge Lebanon to keep its unity government intact after Hezbollah and its allies threaten to walk out.“We have a clear stance. The demolition in east Jerusalem is unacceptable,” Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said at a news conference in Ankara with his counterpart from Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud Al-Faisal.Davutoğlu said the international community should also react to the Israeli actions.“East Jerusalem is a Palestinian territory and it will continue to remain so,” he said, adding that its Muslim-Arab identity could not be altered and inviting the international community to adopt a principled approach. “Double standards cannot be accepted.”The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel's demolition of the historic hotel in East Jerusalem on Tuesday, slamming it as a "serious blow" to peace efforts.“We cannot remain silent,” said Davutoğlu, adding that peace processes in the Middle East had stalled due to the Israeli settlement policy.Hmmmm...It's only "normal" that people who committed genocide on the Armenians would support the Mufti of Jerusalem considering he was an officer in the Turkish army at the time of the atrocities! Now it seems another genocide is preparing against the Jews!Get Turkey out of NATO!Read the full story here.

  • Turkish Hizbullah leaders go missing after release from jail.Three convicted leaders of the illegal organization Hizbullah who were released from jail under a new law regulating arrest periods have gone missing, daily Radikal reported Wednesday, claiming the men likely fled to Iran or Lebanon.Edip Gümüş, Cemal Tutar and Mehmet Varol, who were convicted by a local court for being leaders of the illegal fundamentalist organization, were released from jail Jan. 4, but they are still required by law to present themselves at a police station every day.Though convicted by a local court, there is still an ongoing case against the three men at the Supreme Court of Appeals. They were freed from jail under a new law requiring the release of defendants whose cases have not been concluded within a period of 10 years. Both police and intelligence officers are trying to track down the Hizbullah members, Radikal wrote. The chief prosecutor’s office in Batman said it only kept minutes on Varol’s disappearance and had sent the records to the Diyarbakır prosecutor’s office, which will decide the fate of all three men. According to the law, a person who goes to a police station to declare he was not missing after he was released from jail should be arrested again. But the situation is not certain for those released as a result of the new limits on arrest periods.Hizbullah, unrelated to the Lebanese Hezbollah, is regarded as responsible for the deaths of hundreds of people during the mid-1990s, the worst years of the conflict between the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, and Turkish government forces. Hizbullah came to prominence in the late 1980s in southeastern Turkey. Some experts say its aim is to destroy the secular order and spread “true Islam” throughout the country, by force if necessary. However, strong claims have surfaced that it was the state itself that established the organization to fight the PKK through illegal means, such as summary executions.Hmmmm....Why am i not surprised?Read the full story here.

  • HT:Imra.IDF using remote control miniature cars with cameras to inspect underside of vehicles. The IDF's new toy is no children's game. This week, the A-Drive, a miniature, remote-controlled car assisting with security checks on vehicles, was put into use in battalions operating crossings. And this new device may be what stops the next terrorist attack. The new robot is crash-resistant and is connected to five small cameras which photograph the underside of vehicles coming to the crossings. This allows for a full 360 degree check of the vehicles. The toy car can examine every point of a vehicle and alerts forces in case of suspicious movement. The machine was developed by GOC Ground Forces and was recently tested in by the Taoz battalion of the Military Police, station at the Te'enim crossing of the Judea and Samaria region. The option for widespread use in all other crossings of the Judea and Samaria region is still being tested.Battalions stationed in crossings say that the "A-Drive" is an efficient and quick solution to a security check weak point, which until this point had not been looked into. According to Commander of the Taoz battalion, Lt. Col. Erez Raban, the bottom parts of a vehicle are typically used to smuggle weaponry and other materials used in warfare. Sometimes even illegal immigrants can be found hiding in specially-designed compartments in the space between the car and road.As of today, Taoz battalion soldiers are stationed in 34 crossings in the Judea and Samaria region, some of which do not include inspection holes to check the undersides of vehicles. Even at crossings that have inspection holes, their inspection isn't done too frequently because it causes traffic jams and risks the lives of the soldiers checking the bottom area of the car. However, the soldiers from the battalion hope that the new robot will significantly improve the ability."A lot of the times when there is no real danger, we don't take the vehicle to be checked in the inspection hole," says Lt. Col. Raban. "With the new robot, we can perform example inspections that will intimidate those wanting to smuggle weapons, etc. It's likely that the number of smuggling incidents discovered will rise because of it."Hmmm.....Why not use the Mossad trained squirrels?Lol.Read the full story here.

  • HT:HIDF.Hundreds block Delhi’s Jungpura flyover after DDA demolishes mosque. NEW DELHI: A mob has blocked the Jangpura flyover pelting stones and damaging cars, after the DDA demolished a mosque in the area on Wednesday morning. Thousands of cars are stranded on the flyover near Nizamuddin with no traffic police to manage the mob. The protesters are threatening to set cars on fire if anyone dares to cross the barrier. Earlier in the day, the police lobbed teargas shells and used batons to disperse a large number of people protesting the demolition of the mosque which was built on government land. The demolition was carried out by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in south-east Delhi’s Jangpura-B Block area at around 6am amidst heavy police presence. Police lobbed teargas shells and used batons to disperse the protesters, who tried to enter the site of the demolished structure and offer prayers. "A large number of people gathered in front of the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station and marched towards the demolition spot. They were prevented from entering the spot. "They broke the barricades and tried to reach there.
