  • Turkey extends visa-free regime to embattled Yemen.On the occasion of the first-ever presidential level visit from Turkey to Yemen, the two countries have secured cooperation through the signing of several bilateral agreements, including one to abolish visa requirements between the two nations. President Abdullah Gül's two-day visit to Yemen, which ended on Tuesday, came at a time when the Arabian Peninsula country is facing a series of major threats, including rising al-Qaeda militancy spreading beyond its borders, violence from southern secessionists and sporadic clashes with Shiite rebels, all fed by crushing poverty. “The fight against terrorism is a joint problem for the world. International cooperation is very important in this matter. Turkey will be with Yemen on this issue,” Gül was quoted as saying by the Anatolia news agency on Tuesday at a joint press conference in Sana'a with his Yemeni counterpart, Ali Abdullah Saleh. “Turkey will continue making all kinds of contributions to Yemen's democratic and economic development,” Gül said, as he noted that Ankara has been closely following reforms implemented by Yemen, in an apparent reference to a program of reforms aimed at addressing the prospect of lower oil revenues while boosting public investment and social spending.Pledging efficient implementation of bilateral agreements signed with Yemen -- which includes communication, media, defense, telecommunications services and diplomatic training -- Gül said Turkish and Yemeni people could now visit each other without needing visas.Today, by the abolition of visa requirements, people of our two nations can now visit each other easily,” Gül said.During the visit Gül also inaugurated a renovated cemetery for fallen Ottoman soldiers. He seemed to have a hard time holding back tears when listening to a Turkish song performed by Yemeni students from a Turkish school. The Ottoman-era song, called “Yemen Türküsü,” is an elegy to the memory of Ottoman soldiers who perished in Yemen during World War I.Hmmmm....Now every terrorist from Yemen has free travel to Turkey and Europe,what are friends for?Ah the WWI era the good old days when we could slaughter Armenians,British and Canadians no wonder he had trouble holding his tears back?Get Turkey out of NATO NOW!Read the full story here.

  • Mousavi : Ahmadinejad's rule like Stalin era.Tehran - Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Moussavi says the political era of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was like that of Joseph Stalin in the former Soviet Union. “The propaganda used by the government supporters in this era can be compared to that of the Stalin era in the Soviet Union or the Nicolae Ceausescu era in Romania,” Moussavi said. He was referring to what the opposition calls harsh suppression of the opposition movement during the past 18 months. Moussavi, a former prime minister in the 1980’s, former Parliament speaker Mehdi Karroubi and ex-presidents Mohammad Khatami and Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani lead the opposition to Ahmadinejad. The quartet has accused the government of fraud in the June 2009 presidential vote and not yet acknowledged Ahmadinejad's re-election. The opposition has lost its initial popular support from the post-election period, however, and remained rather silent in 2010. But with parliamentary elections ahead in 2012, the opposition must start considering whether to contest the election. The judiciary and some government circles proclaimed in recent days that some of the “riot leaders” should face trial for having undermined the country's Islamic system following the presidential election. Moussavi said while addressing the judiciary and government: “Forget about us opposition leaders, but just stick to the constitution and release all political prisoners, allow press freedom and arrange free elections.” Several former officials, journalists, students and lawyers have been sentenced to long jail terms for their roles in the post- election protests. The opposition demands the release of all these dissidents and wants a ban on its press activities lifted.Read the full story here

  • Hezbollah Plans to Topple Lebanese Government.The Islamic militant group Hezbollah and its allies plan to resign from the Lebanese Cabinet and topple the government on Wednesday over tensions stemming from the international investigation of the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, officials said.The ministers were planning to resign in the afternoon unless Western-backed Prime Minister Saad Hariri — the son of the slain leader — agrees to their demand to convene an urgent Cabinet meeting over the tribunal crisis, Health Minister Mohammed Jawad Khalifeh said on Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV.A senior official in Hariri's Future Movement, Mustafa Alloush, said Hariri would not succumb to "pressure and ultimatums.""The prime minister is not opposed to a meeting in principle, but he has commitments outside Lebanon now," Alloush told The Associated Press. Hariri, whose coalition has been sharing power with the Iranian-backed militant group, was to meet Wednesday with President Barack Obama in Washington to discuss the crisis.A U.N.-backed tribunal investigating the elder Hariri's killing is widely expected to name members of the Hezbollah in upcoming indictments, which many fear could re-ignite hostilities between Lebanon's rival Shiite and Sunni Muslims.Another official allied to Hezbollah confirmed the resignation plan, which calls for Hezbollah and its allies to step down along with one more minister who would tip the balance and force the government to fall.To bring down the government, Hezbollah needs the backing of more than a third of the ministers. Hezbollah and its allies have 10 ministers in the 30-member Cabinet, and an official close to Hezbollah said an 11th minister close to President Michel Suleiman would also submit his resignation."It all depends on the prime minister's response to our call for a Cabinet meeting to discuss the crisis," the official told the AP, asking that his name not be used because of the sensitivity of the matter. "We are considering our options and a resignation is top of the list."Read the full story here.

  • HT:TranslatingJihad.Saudi Sheikh Rejects Equality Between Muslims and Infidels, Men and Women.Saudi Sheikh, 'Abd-al-Rahman bin Nasir al-Barrak explains that there is no equality in Islam, or at least not in the way the West and the Human Rights Charter defines it.Fatwa title: What is the ruling on the saying uttered by some people: "Islam is a religion of equality"?Fatwa no. 38610, 7 Oct 2010Answer: Praise be to God. Many people have spoken the phrase, "Islam is a religion of equality." They should know that this statement is heinous and false. Some Muslims may say it out of good intentions, seeking to praise and glorify Islam. Perhaps they don't know the real truth behind this phrase. This phrase is spoken by some whimsical people, who thereby reach out for purposes that are contrary to the law of Islam, such as the equality of rights between Muslims and infidels, and between men and women. They do this for the infidels, running behind their ways and their calls. But God hath differentiated between men and women in terms of rights, duties, and judgments. He hath also differentiated between Muslims and infidels in terms of judgments and penalties. The universal, legitimate, and penal Sunnah of God recognizes the differences--this is common sense. The Qur'an is frank in rejecting equality among things that are different. The Most High said: "Not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor the darknesses and the light, nor the shade and the heat, and not equal are the living and the dead..." [Qur'an 35:19-22]. He also said, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know? Only they will remember who are people of understanding" [Qur'an 39:9]. [...] The Almighty also said, "The woman is not like the man." He also said regarding the inheritance of sons and brothers, "The man receives the fortune of two women."Therefore there should only be equality among things which are identical.There are two issues here which are defined and called for by the UN, and which it requires every member nation to apply, specifically targeting Muslims. The first issue is regarding the difference between Muslims and infidels. It is known that this contradicts the shari'a of Islam, in terms of retribution, inheritance, marriage, brotherhood, and loyalty. [...] The call for equality between Muslims and infidels has been made in conferences and seminars under the banner of humanitarianism and the like. Branching out from this is the call for coexistence, religious dialogue, and world peace, by which they deceive the Muslims into giving up the law of jihad in the path of God, and God's requirement of disloyalty to the unbelievers.Hmmmm.....Imam Rauf "Sharia law and the US constitution are the same"?Read the full story here.

  • ‘A very tragic day’: Toronto police officer killed by stolen snowplow.A Toronto police officer has died after being hit by a stolen snowplow. Sergeant Ryan Russell, a married 35-year-old father of a young son, had been a police officer for 11 years. “This is a very tragic day for the city of Toronto and for the Toronto Police Service,” Police Chief Bill Blair said.Sgt. Russell was trying to stop a man driving a stolen snowplow through the city early Wednesday, striking vehicles and nearly hitting people. The officer, who became a sergeant six months ago and previously worked with the guns-and-gangs task force, was hit at Avenue Road and Davenport Road shortly after 6 a.m. He was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital without vital signs. Chief Blair, who fought back emotion as he spoke to reporters, described Sgt. Russell as “a fine police officer.” “He was out doing his job in the early-morning hours in the city in a very dangerous situation and he put his life on the line and tragically has lost his life doing his job,” he said. “This is the worst of days for the Toronto Police Service.”Sgt. Russell’s father is a former Toronto police officer, said Mike McCormack, president of the Toronto Police Association. “We’ve lost a great officer, a great friend, a husband and a father. And I can’t imagine the grief that the family’s going through right now,” he said. “Coming from a policing family, it’s the worst nightmare.” Around 7:15 a.m., police pursuing the snowplow opened fire at Keele Street and Annette Street in the Junction neighbourhood, injuring the driver. He was taken to St. Mike’s hospital with serious injuries. Pierpaolo Miele was driving to work on Keele Street when the snowplow clipped his car and then hit a garbage truck. Police officers got out of their vehicles, firing several gunshots toward the plow, Mr. Miele said, “I heard the gun shots. I kinda saw cops on the hood of the car looking in,” said Mr. Miele, a plumber who was heading to work in Liberty Village. Another officer received non-life-threatening leg injuries in the takedown and was taken to North York General Hospital.The events began before 5 a.m., when a private snow-clearing crew was working outside their vehicle in the Regent Park area. Suddenly, a barefoot man jumped into the heavy-duty pick-up truck outfitted with snow-clearing equipment and sped away. “As quickly as they noticed him, he just jumped in their vehicle and drove off. They tried to grab the door to open it and he was already gone. He basically sped off erratically and he looked like he was driving very crazy,” said Richard Eros, general manager of Tolias Landscaping and Plowing. Mr. Eros used the truck’s GPS to give police the vehicle’s location as it drove around downtown Toronto, crashing into several vehicles in the process. “This guy was driving around like a maniac,” Mr. Eros said. The general coordinator of the Arab Archeologists Union, Muhammad Bahjat Qubaisi, said that there are historical proofs that Al-Quds is not Biblical Jerusalem, adding that none of the Zionist claims are supported by ancient texts from the region. • HT:AmericanThinker.Free Speech in the Crosshairs.This can't be happening again. A terrible tragedy, followed by vile recrimination and politically motivated accusations. Were no lessons learned after the slander of conservatives following the Oklahoma City bombing? Aside from the terrible specter of psychotic gunmen legislating with bullets, we now have to deal with the inanities of shameless members of the nattering class in a redux of the Clinton blame-game.In a "Special Comment" segment aired the day of the Giffords shooting, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann began his segment by laying the blame for this shooting at the feet of Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, and others. Olbermann apologized for using harsh rhetoric himself in the past, and then he proceeded to posit that the shooter fell "victim to a thousand little temptations to violence" proffered by "only slightly less crazy" right-wingers on talk radio and television.It is always wise to be aware of how our exhortations might be used to lethal purpose, and in large part, this is a dictum faithfully followed by major opinion-makers without the heavy hand of government involvement. For example, Rush Limbaugh is an artist at illustrating the idiocy of his opponents' policies without demonizing them as people. His imitations of Bill Clinton are the stuff of legend, never failing to bring a laugh and make a point, while leaving the listener with no hint of dislike for the former president as a man. In contrast, Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz of MSNBC behave as if conservatives are not merely incorrect in their opinions, but are downright evil for having them -- a distinction with a world's worth of difference.The bitter, pinched personality of the hardcore progressive is the seedbed of political violence in our nation today. I've written previously about the revolutionary intentions of the left in this country, and just a few days ago, the high priestess of leftist agitation, Francis Fox Piven, called for "violent...bloody revolution." Republicans need to get ahead of the coming slander. Let your congressperson know that you won't tolerate your freedom of speech being limited because of the actions of a madman, or by the design of media/political charlatans.

  • Petrol to hit £6 ($9.37) a gallon after pipeline leak sends oil prices rocketing.The price of petrol could reach £6 a gallon for the first time after the price of oil was pushed up by an accident at a major American pipeline. The leak at the Trans-Alaska system, which carries an estimated 15 per cent of all U.S. crude oil production, has added yet another rise to forecourt prices that have climbed rapidly since the start of the year.Having initially been pushed up by a rise in fuel duty, the VAT hike also affected prices at the pump and, according to petrolprices.com, a website which measures the average price in the UK, it now costs 127.8p per litre for unleaded and 132.05p for diesel.Almost 400 forecourts are already charging 130p per litre for unleaded, and some are even selling at 140p.If the average price reaches 132p per litre then it will be the equivalent of £6 per gallon.The accident in Alaska has led to the shutdown of the pipeline by BP and its partners, forcing the price of oil up by 2.3 per cent to $95.46 a barrel in London, while speculators are trying to force prices over the $100 mark.The AA says that every $2 added to the price of a barrel equates to 1p at the pump.Read the full story here.

  • HT:AsiaTimes.Sodomy and Sufism in Afgaynistan.Social scientists attached to the Second Marine Battalion in Afghanistan last year circulated a startling report on Pashtun sociology, in the form of a human terrain report on male sexuality among America's Afghan allies. The document, made available by military sources, is not classified, just disturbing. Don't ask, don't tell doesn't begin to qualify the problem. These are things you didn't want to know, and regret having heard. The marines got their money's worth from their Human Terrain adjuncts, but the report might have considered whether male pedophilia in Afghanistan has a religious dimension as well as a cultural one. I will explain why below.Most Pashtun men, Human Terrain Team AF-6 reports, engage in.sex with men - boys - in fact, the vast majority of their sexual contacts are with males. "A culturally-contrived homosexuality [significantly not termed as such by its practitioners] appears to affect a far greater population base then some researchers would argue is attributable to natural inclination. Some of its root causes lie in the severe segregation of women, the prohibitive cost of marriage within Pashtun tribal codes, and the depressed economic situation into which young Pashtun men are placed." The human terrain team responded to scandalous interactions between Pashtun fighters and North Atlantic Treaty Organization troops, some reported with hilarity by the media. An article in the Scotsman of May 24, 2002, reported, for example: "In Bagram, British marines returning from an operation deep in the Afghan mountains spoke last night of an alarming new threat – being propositioned by swarms of gay local farmers. An Arbroath marine, James Fletcher, said: 'They were more terrifying than the al-Qaeda. One bloke who had painted toenails was offering to paint ours. They go about hand in hand, mincing around the village.' While the marines failed to find any al-Qaeda during the seven-day Operation Condor, they were propositioned by dozens of men in villages the troops were ordered to search." Another interviewee in the article, a marine in his 20s, stated, "It was hell. Every village we went into we got a group of men wearing makeup coming up, stroking our hair and cheeks and making kissing noises."The trouble, the researchers surmise, is "Pashtun society's extremely limited access to women," citing a Los Angeles Times interview with a young Pashtun identified as Daud. He only has sex with men, explaining: "I like boys, but I like girls better. It's just that we can't see the women to see if they are beautiful. But we can see the boys, and so we can tell which of them is beautiful." "Men who take on a halekon [young male lover] often attempt to integrate the boy into their families by marrying him to a daughter when the boy is no longer young enough to play the 'beardless' role. This maintains the love relationship between the father and son-in-law which inevitably makes difficult the establishment of a normal relationship with the wife," the human terrain Team explains. The team's results are striking, but they place too much emphasis on the weirdness of Pashtun tradition and give too little attention to the broader role of homosexuality in Islamic (and especially Sufi) culture. What scholars now consider the Golden Age of Islamic love poetry, the Persian high middle ages, made homosexual pederasty the normative mode of love. While Petrarch wrote sonnets to Laura and Dante longed for Beatrice, their counterparts in the canon of Islamic poetry, Hafez and Rumi, wrote of their infatuation with young boys.Hmmmm....Why does the following headline come to my mind?"Transsexuals should be allowed in Poland’s army, says NGO".Read the full story here.

  • HT:IsraelSeen.The “Two-State Delusion” I: Who Wants a “Two-State Solution”?By Dr. Arnold M. Soloway, President Emeritus and Founder of the Center for Near East Policy Research Following the U.S. lead, the near universal consensus appears to be that the Arab-Israel conflict can be resolved only by the establishment of a Palestinian State in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza, providing a “Two-State Solution”.But a fundamental problem inherent in the “Two-State Solution” is clearly reflected in the controversy surrounding the proposed Ground Zero Mosque. Those sharing an extremist Arab Muslim mindset that insists on building a multi-storied Mosque only at Ground Zero, seem to share that mindset with Arab Muslims who are intent on gaining exclusive control of all of Palestine, including Jordan.Despite his artful public posture, Imam Rauf, leader of the Ground Zero Mosque project, affirmed the singularity of that Arab mindset when he refused to admit that Hamas, as labeled by the U.S. State Department, is a terrorist organization, challenged that America “was an accessory to the crime of 9/11”, Osama Bin Laden “was made in America”, and by his pursuit of U.S. compliance with Shariah law. And when he notably stated: “…my own personal analysis tells me that a one-state solution is a more coherent one than a two-state solution”. (Italics supplied)The one-state that the Imam would consider “coherent” certainly is not the Democratic Jewish State of Israel. From his public statements we know that the one-state he envisions and would consider “coherent” is an Islamic Arab State governed by Shariah law, and like twenty other Arab states would hardly feature democratic freedoms and human rights. This one-state solution is precisely the dictum of the Muslim Brotherhood, major fount of Arab terrorism, and its offshoot, Hamas. It is familiar code for challenging Israel’s very right to exist as a sovereign state, thus attempting to legitimize the prospective destruction of Israel.Hmmmm......Why is Obama supporting Imam Rauf?Read the full story here.

  • France is our biggest ally, declares Obama: President's blow to Special Relationship with Britain.Barack Obama has declared that France is America’s greatest ally, undermining Britain’s Special Relationship with the U.S.The President risked offending British troops in Afghanistan by saying that French president Nicolas Sarkozy is a ‘stronger friend’ than David Cameron.The remarks, during a White House appearance with Mr Sarkozy, will reinforce the widely-held view in British diplomatic circles that Mr Obama has less interest in the Special Relationship than any other recent American leader.Mr Obama said: 'We don’t have a stronger friend and stronger ally than Nicolas Sarkozy, and the French people.'The comments follow a pattern of coldness towards the UK. When Gordon Brown was prime minister, Mr Obama snubbed his requests for meetings in the U.S.He also denounced Britain during his inauguration speech.The UK has lost nearly 350 troops in the war against the Taliban – seven times as many as France.And there are more than 10,000 British soldiers serving in Helmand province, compared with just 3,850 Frenchmen.Mr Obama's stance was swiftly condemned in Westminster.Tory MP Patrick Mercer, a former commander of the Sherwood Foresters regiment, said: 'I’m getting a bit fed up with the American President using terms like "best ally" so loosely. 'It’s Britain that has had more than 300 servicemen killed in Afghanistan, not France.'That to my mind is a lot more powerful than any political gesture making.'The remarks also angered conservatives in Washington.'Such a remark is not only factually wrong but insulting to Britain, not least coming just a few years after the French knifed Washington in the back over the war in Iraq.'Hmmmm....If he really wanted to alienate America's friends would he do anything different?First the Israelis next the Canadians and now the British.Read the full story here.

  • "The War On Christianity".Pakistani Pastors Fear Retaliation after Police Withdraw Charge.LAHORE, Pakistan, January 11 (CDN) — Christian leaders in Punjab Province’s Nankana Sahib district said they were apprehensive after a police inspector’s warning on Friday (Jan. 7) that “they would be responsible for anything that went wrong in the villages” if they continued preaching over a public address system.Eight pastors leading a delegation of more than 100 Christians from Martinpur and Youngsenabad villages had persuaded police to drop the charge of preaching over the church loudspeakers – a practice routinely allowed by Muslims in mosques. They complained of inspector Muhammad Rana Ishaq’s veiled threat to the police chief, but they fear Ishaq will file other false cases against them in retaliation for the withdrawal of the charge. The Christian delegation registered a strong protest with the Nankana police chief for restricting their worship. After two hours of talks, the police chief conceded that his staff had discriminated against the Christians and ordered withdrawal of the case. Police had filed a case against the eight pastors for “misusing loudspeakers” on Dec. 25, 2010. The pastors said police should have taken into account that it was Christmas Day, and that residents of the two villages were worshipping in their churches.Pastor Mubarak Victor of Cavalry Gospel Church in Martinpur village told Compass that he and seven other pastors – Chandan Lal, William Kayani, Shahzad Fakhardin, Amoon Samuel, Shamaoon Khokhar, Amir Sohail and Hanooq Daniel – had been named in the case. Victor said the charge was ridiculous, as they have been preaching and worshipping on public address systems for decades. “Our villages are inhabited by Christians, and we have been worshipping freely for years,” Pastor Victor said. “A ban on using loudspeakers was imposed on Muslim clerics because they often indulge in fanning sectarianism. This action of the administration is nothing but religious bigotry.” He added that filing a case against the pastors on Christmas Day was a step towards restricting the Christians’ right to worship. The two villages have a combined Christian population of around 10,000.“Muslims from our neighboring villages are behind this move,” Pastor Victor said. “Over the last couple of years, Muslims, mostly youth and women, have started coming to us for prayers. Almost all the Muslims who have visited my church said they were impressed by our sermons and worship and asked me to pray for them. Some have even denounced their faith but are keeping it a secret from their families.”“We have never said a word against any religion, let alone Islam,” Pastor Lal said. “When the villagers don’t have an issue with praise and worship on PA systems, who are the police to interfere?” Malik Aftab, a village elder from Youngsenabad, told Compass that the villagers would not let police arrest any of the pastors. “They [the police] are provoking us unnecessarily by registering a case against the pastors on Christmas day,” Aftab said. “Has anyone arrested any mullah [Muslim prayer leader] when they are addressing Eid sermons on loudspeakers? Why the discrimination?”Nankana District Police Officer Shahzad Waheed said the pastors had been booked for violating the Amplifier Act, but he had no explanation for why Muslim clerics were not booked for misusing loudspeakers when delivering hours-long sermons on the Muslim festival of Eid and for Friday prayers, especially as these acts led directly to introduction of the Amplifier Act. Nankana district is the same one that Asia Noreen, the first Christian woman sentenced to death on blasphemy charges, lived in before her conviction. Her village of Ittanwali is about 15 kilometers (nine miles) from Martinpur and Youngsenabad.

  • HT:CanadaFreePress.The Jewish Defence League and the EDL.Meir Weinstein heads the JDL in Toronto. They do great work. They picket what must be picketed and oppose what must be opposed. Recently they voiced their solidarity with the EDL in Britain and even planned a rally in Toronto at which the EDL leader was to speak by hook up.. This caused a reaction in in the conservative, pro Israel, National Post. You can imagine it also caused a reaction from the Jewish establishment in Canada.As a result of a National post story on this rally, this letter was written to the author Stuart Bell. I know Stuart Bell and Meir Weinstein. As readers of Israpundit know, we support the work of EDL and believe they are getting a raw deal from the establishment. The JDL in Canada is a great organization which stands up for Jews throughout the country. They do not in any way resort to violence but don’t shrink from it in self defence.Dear Mr. Bell : Re: “National Post Story: Controversial anti-Islamic group plans rally in Toronto”Let me begin by recommending that you take the time to read the Hudson Institute’s well researched, and balanced article “The English Defense League: The New Face of Europe?” – A. MillerNegligent immigration, social policies, and trade deals, have created very serious problems throughout the entire EU. Groups like the EDL, SIOE, etc. are putting their lives on the line, to defend freedom and Western civilization from Islamic Fascism, and are not enemies of democracy. The real enemies of democracy are:

  1. Corrupt EU governments and politicians that have crawled into bed with Islamic Fascists, (reminiscent of those who did the same with Nazi Fascists) – betraying the citizens they are sworn to protect.
  2. Marxists in the mainstream press who continually whitewash the truth about Islamic Fascism;
  3. Academics in Universities, who willfully corrupt and brainwash students (sometimes using intimidation tactics) to serve their Marxist/Islamist agenda;
  4. Corporations involved in business deals with the Saudis and other Islamists; and
  5. Islamic Fascists, who are highly financed by Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc., and encouraged to wage War against the Infidel and the West.Europe’s problems with Islamic Fascists foreshadow what is coming to Canada. Islamic attacks against innocent people of all ages, races, and religions, have manifested into: beatings that frequently cause facial disfigurement, or permanent physical and brain damage; kidnappings and agonizing torture leading to the death of the victim; murders by stabbing or beatings, etc; gang rapes of females from all age groups – including very young children and the elderly; forced prostitution of young school girls, etc.Roving gangs of Islamist thugs are wreaking havoc and heartache, in every EU country. They are encouraged by Islamist clerics and community leaders to view non-Muslims and Secular Muslims as fair game, because attacks against the Infidel are appropriate actions in Islam’s Jihad against the West.In Europe, freedom of speech really only exists if you are on the left, or an Islamist. Voices of dissent are constantly at risk of some form of punishment, and many have been forced out of their jobs. Totalitarian tactics such as those used by Communist and Islamist regimes, are prevalent throughout the EU. Orwell was right, and what is occurring at the hands of the authorities, is frighteningly out of a Kafka novel. Therefore, before labeling the EDL as the cause of violent demonstrations, etc. please investigate what is really going on in Europe.Regarding Professor Goodwin’s statement: “It (EDL) wants members of the Sikh community, similarly members of the Jewish community to become involved as a way of opposing…” The EDL already has Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, black, gay, etc. members of its organization, who have been active for quite some time.In Canadian Universities Jewish students have been marginalized by pro-Islamist, anti-Israel/anti-Jewish Administrations; professors, and students. On Canadian streets Islamic Fascists and their leftist supporters called for Jews to be sent to the gas chambers. Present at some of those demos were MPs and Union leaders. Vicious hatred towards Jews, and other Infidels, is rampant in Mosques, community centers, schools, and universities. JDL is out on the streets drawing attention to these matters, and fighting Islamic Fascism, while “official” Jews like Farber worry about being politically correct.I want no part of political correctness when it comes to Islamic Fascism, because I know it will be the death of us. Farber, and others like him, definitely don’t speak for my family. We lost many loved ones during the Holocaust, and others who fought the Nazis as members of the Allied Forces. First hand experience has taught my family the devastating consequences of fascism.Fascism must be fought at every turn, even when it hides behind the phony cloak of a “religious” label. Good for the JDL in their decision to join with EDL, so that they can work together to stop Islamic Fascism wherever, and whenever, it rears its ugly head.Never Again means Never Again!Hmmmm.....As i said before all the elements are there for a remake of WWII ,Axes of Evil are being forged,only the fuse need to be lit.Read the full story here.

  • HT:SultanKnish.The Crime of Building a House.In Niger, two Frenchmen were murdered by their Islamic kidnappers. Saudi Arabia sentenced a 23 year old girl who was gang raped to a year in prison and 100 lashes. Iran arrested two dozen Christians for the crime of being well... Christians. Which of these awful things did Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the EU's Red Baroness Ashton forcefully condemn?The answer is none of them.Instead they forcefully and vigorously condemned the demolition of a hotel built by a Muslim Nazi collaborator and now owned by an American-Jewish businessman who bought it in order to build an apartment complex on the spot. An apartment complex for a mere 20 families that is somehow worse than all the aforementioned murders and atrocities. So much worse that they demanded the personal intervention of the highest diplomatic officials of the United States and the European Union.While Baroness Ashton sent out her spokesman to condemn the attack on Christian Copts in Egypt and the assassination of Salman Taseer in Punjab, she personally declared her outrage over a hotel in which no one was killed, aside perhaps from a stray lizard or two sunning themselves on the nearby rocks. It's rather clear where her priorities lie and it isn't with the victims of Muslim terror, rather with its perpetrators. For that same reason, Hillary Clinton can't be bothered to offer sympathy to the Western women raped in Dubai and raped again by its Muslim legal system, but lashes out over something as petty as the demolition of an abandoned hotel.And while women are gang raped and whipped by our friendly allies in the Gulf, Israel is charged with the terrible crime of building a house.Hmmmmm...."They don't trust me because of my middle name"?Read the full story here.

  • HT:RightTruth.Obama Says Republicans and Conservatives Are Ignorant.Seems we haven’t sufficiently had the world explained to by somebody like him.“From having interviewed him a lot on this topic, and listened to him talk about the Republicans and conservatives who oppose him,” [Howard] Fineman says, “he doesn’t think they’re evil, he thinks they’re, some of them are ignorant. That they don’t know enough, that they haven’t sufficiently been had the world explained to by somebody like him.That is exactly what President Barack Obama thinks of us, as do his followers and his media. People, this country is split, divided by our differing beliefs as to how this nation was founded and in what direction she needs to go in the future. There is no medium ground, no compromise.A nation divided by political leanings, divided by moral and spiritual beliefs, divided by belief in the Constitution, and many other areas.A Russian professor, Igor Panarin, has been predicting for more than 10 years that the U.S. will soon break-up into smaller parts and predicted this would happen by 2010.
    Hmmmmm.......Look at the Map of America "Land controlled by the Government",doesn't it neatly cut the USA in two?Read the full story here.

  • And it go's on.Thousands of fish washed up in Chicago and hundreds of birds perish in California as animal deaths continue to bemuse scientists.Thousands of gizzard shad fish have been washed up on Chicago's harbours while more than 100 dead birds have been found clustered on a California highway.The two instances appear to be a continuation of the strange mass animal deaths that have struck in the past fortnight - in America and elsewhere.However Lake Michigan Program biologist Dan Makauskas said that gizzard shad are not a very tough variety of fish and are more sensitive to drops in oxygen levels than most fish.The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that California Highway Patrol officers found the dead birds near the roadway on Saturday and called in the state Department of Fish and Game to investigate.The officers who found the birds described them as small with brown and black feathers.They were intact and had not been shot.Read the full story here.

  • HT:247Wallstr.And now for something completely different.The History Of What Things Cost In America: 1776 to Today.The cost of living in America has gone up about fifteen fold since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Of course, not all prices have risen at the same rate.The value of coffee has increased fifteen times from its price 234 years ago. This is similar to the decrease in the value of the dollar, based on the purchasing power of a dollar and the consumer price index.The value of land has risen a great deal in certain parts of the country – particularly those areas that were rural and now are parts of big cities. It was impossible to know 150 years ago that land in New York’s Central Park would be worth several thousand times what it was in 1776. Conversely, products like whale oil, once used to light homes, now have no legal value at all. Powdered wigs have almost certainly dropped in value now that they are out of fashion.Read the full story here.
