• HT:Aina.Bosnia: the Myths of Peaceful Islam and the Hidden Islamic Jihad.John R. Schindler stated in his book called Unholy Terror that "The most hated aspect of Ottoman rule in Bosnia, and the one whose memory lingers most sharply even today, was the practice of devshirme, the blood tax imposed on Christians. For three centuries beginning with the conquest of Bosnia, the Ottomans annually levied male children as tribute; every year, up to one-fifth of Christian boys in Bosnia -- usually aged fourteen to twenty, but some were younger -- were forcibly taken from their families in contingents of a thousand and shipped to the imperial court at Istanbul to become warrior-slaves in the janissaries, the Sultan's elite guard. They were converted to Islam…." Page 23 -- Unholy Terror.The Christians of Bosnia clearly faced pogroms, institutional discrimination, and a system which was brutal. If Christian men happened to fall in love with Muslim women then they faced the death penalty because it is forbidden in Islam, however, countless numbers of Christian women were taken by Muslims, just like in modern day Egypt and Pakistan, and the legal authorities deemed this permissible.In fact the myth of peaceful Islam in Bosnia could not be further from the truth because conditions for Christians in Bosnia was especially brutal because the landed elites who were Muslim, ruled over their Christian subjects with disdain. The Western hype of multi-cultural Bosnia is just that and in the middle of the 19th century you had around one hundred mosques in Sarajevo but only one Orthodox Christian church.Non-Muslims suffered the fate of being dhimmis and converts to Islam used their power in order to maintain a system which supported every indignity that you could imagine. It was a policy based on the "superior Muslims" against the "enslaved Christians" and if the Christians did not accept dhimmitude, paying heavy taxes via jizya, and allowing young Christian boys to be converted to Islam and taken away to Istanbul, then the Islamic sword awaited them.World War Two also witnessed the mutual support of the Muslim elites with Nazi Germany and Orthodox Christians faced the brutality of many forces. This notably applies to the Croatian Catholic Ustasha regime which was genocidal towards the Serbian Orthodox Christians and it must be stated that Muslims participated fully within the military wing and police force of this brutal and barbaric regime. At the same time Muslims served under the Nazi regime of Germany and the 13th Volunteer Mountain Division of the Waffen-SS (Handschar) was famous for killing Orthodox Christians.John R. Schindler states that "Despite strong local support, Himmler's Bosnian division ultimately did little to help the Nazi cause or defend the Bosnian Muslims…….the 13th Division's actual combat record was slight, while its depredations against unarmed Serbs were impressive; the Muslim troops spent more time killing and looting than actually fighting…….the 13th Division ended the war ingloriously, plagued by war crimes and desertion." Page 36 -- Unholy TerrorAgain, it must be remembered that this Bosnia is the same Bosnia that Western journalists and academics claimed was peaceful and based on religious and ethnic toleration. It would appear that these journalists and academics deem the control of land in the hands of Muslims; converting Christian boys to Islam by the barbaric devshirme system; killing Christian males for marrying Muslim women; no rights under law during cases involving Christians and Muslims; a brutal jizya tax system; the mass inequality of the dhimmitude system; and the fact that Muslims joined forces with both the Ustasha fascist regime and the Nazi SS; somehow, all this in the eyes of Western academics and journalists meant ethnic and religious bliss.If the same journalists and academics had vindicated Western European and Arab slavery of Africans in Africa then the mass media would have ridiculed such disgraceful notions of history. However, the same mantra was used in order to vindicate the Muslim side in Bosnia during the 1990s.The communist interlude in Yugoslavia certainly contained Islamists in Bosnia but Muslim elites like Alija Izetbegovic were waiting in the wings and his pan-Islamic dreams for the Islamization of Bosnia and then further afield remained strong. However, when the conflict broke out in 1992 the media in the West remained silent about this and other future crimes by both Bosnian Islamists and international Islamic jihadists who glorified in beheading Orthodox Christians and spreading a new Islamic jihad.The hidden "Islamic jihad" in Bosnia was covered up because this suited the needs of interested parties and it was not productive to show America, Alija Izetbegovic, Al-Qa'ida, the global jihadist network, and other nations, working hand in hand. Therefore, the "Muslim victim card" was played and the same applies to re-writing history. The Serbians, who had been the victims of Islamic jihad under the Ottomans and then suffered so brutally under the Ustasha/Nazi/Islamic collaboration during World War Two, were once more victims, just like they had been under the Habsburg Empire, because during the 1990s it is clear that the mass media sided with all anti-Serbian forces. This applies to supporting Croatia, the Muslims of Bosnia, and the Albanian Muslims of Kosovo.In my article called Bosnia and Clinton's Radical Islamists, I comment that "Sky News has obtained clear and proper evidence of a major cover-up and footages of massacres against Serbian Christians have been seen. According to the investigation and footages which were shown, it is abundantly clear that thousands of radical Islamists from all over the world were given a free-reign in Bosnia.""This free-reign meant that innocent Serbian Christians were to meet terrible and disturbing deaths at the hands of radical Islamists who celebrated openly while cutting the heads off innocent civilians. The same Islamic forces which unleashed September 11th and which stone people to death in order to create "year zero," were welcomed openly by ex-President Clinton and by people within his administration."It is clear that the Bosnian Serbs cannot trust the international community because of past deeds and the ongoing reality of Kosovo where Orthodox Christians reside in fear and in the knowledge that many Orthodox Christian churches and monasteries have been destroyed.The past reality of Islam in Bosnia means that you have no history of mutual co-existence because dhimmitude, jizya, pogroms, and the devshirme system was brutal. Therefore, you had a Muslim landed elite and an Orthodox Christian peasantry which was taxed heavily in order to maintain Islamic power and control.If not, the Serbs face another de-Orthodox Christianization reality and this factuality can be seen in modern day Kosovo where their culture, churches, and community is under constant threat. The rich history of Orthodox Christianity in Kosovo faces a bleak future and one of little hope. The region is Moslem, but there is no tradition of Islamic radicalism. In Tajikistan, for example, this has led to arresting bearded men, or at least making sure their ID card pictures included the beard. Centuries of Russian domination have made Islamic lifestyle alien to Central Asian peoples and forced Islamic groups to stress unemployment and economic issues as a primary recruiting tool. Madrassases (religious schools) are key recruiting sources in most of the Islamic world, but in Central Asia, there are few of these schools and they are closely watched by police. Tajikistan believes Islamic radicals are supporting themselves by aiding drug smugglers (moving heroin and other drugs out of Afghanistan). The presence of Tajik, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz minorities in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan is also a continuing source of disorder, and sometimes a recruiting opportunity for Islamic radicals.Iran has been aiding (openly and covertly) the Shia minority (about ten percent) in Tajikistan. Shia missionaries have also converted many Sunni Tajiks. This causes more violence with Sunni Islamic radicals, who consider Shia heretics. The Shia consider the Sunnis misguided and in need of Shia leadership. Iran is also exploiting the fact that Tajiks and Iranians are both Indo-European peoples, and have long been in conflict with Turkic groups like the Uzbeks, and Kyrgyz.January 4, 2011: In Kyrgyzstan's capital, a group of Islamic terrorists killed three policemen. In Tajikistan, police killed eight Islamic terrorists, believed part of a group that killed 25 soldiers last September. Both that ambush and today's operation took place east of the capital in the Rasht Valley.January 7, 2011: Some ten kilometers from Kyrgyzstan's capital, police killed two and captured one Islamic terrorists. One policemen died. • HT:Aina.Kurds of Iraq May Ban Friday Sermons.Secularists in the Iraqi Kurdistan region have pushed through a government ban on the Friday religious sermons, driving an ideological rift with the committed Muslims.The move by some alleged intellectuals and feminists came after Mullah Farman Kharabaiy, the Imam of Majidawa Mosque in the capital of Arbil, accused a number of leading Kurdish feminists of blasphemy in his Friday sermon, reported Press TV's correspondent in the city, Matt Frazer.Those referred to by Kharabaiy have also complained to the police, alleging that the words by the religious authority constituted a direct threat to their lives."The main concern here in Kurdistan is that religious leaders think that they must be the leaders of the whole society…," Mariwan Naqshabani, a political expert told our correspondent."Ninety percent of the people here are Muslim. Those who are gathering signatures and petitioning the government to make this law should consider its acceptance by the majority of the people in the region," said Salim Koyi from the Islamic Movement of Kurdistan."Religious leaders talk about the failures of the political leadership and the absence of government. • RCMP probe report saying Canadians training with al-Qaida in Pakistan for jihad.TORONTO - The RCMP is probing an online news report that says a group of Canadian militants is training for jihad in Pakistani al-Qaida camps.Hong Kong-based Asia Times Online cites "well-placed Taliban sources" saying the terrorist group is training a number of Western Caucasians — Canadians in particular— for attacks in Canada.Assistant RCMP commissioner Gilles Michaud told the Canadian Press Friday that the Mounties and their security and intelligence partners were assessing the information in the report for its "credibility and reliability."Michaud said the RCMP would take "appropriate action" according to the results of that assessment, which he added was being carried out as quickly as possible.In the report, a militant from Pakistan's North Waziristan region claims 12 Canadians went to Afghanistan last February and received basic jihadi training.Arif Wazir says the Canadians were sent to Pakistan in November for "special courses" that included the use of sophisticated weapons and how to connect with local smuggling networks in North America.The Asia Times report goes on to quote Wazir saying the Canadians will eventually return home to execute al-Qaida's plan to target Canada's big cities.The article says the Canadians joined an Egyptian militant organization, Jihad al-Islami, which helped them get to Afghanistan in the first place.A report released in October by George Washington University's Homeland Security Policy Institute and the Swedish National Defence College's Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies warned that radicalized Westerners who easily travel around the world represent a growing terrorism threat.And the report urged the U.S. and its European allies to work together to confront this new threat.Read the full story here.

• HT:Compassdirect.Muslim Villager in Pakistan Allegedly Rapes Sixth Christian Girl.TARKHANI, Pakistan, January 14 (CDN) — A Muslim who allegedly confessed to sexually assaulting five Christian girls raped a 10-year-old Catholic girl in Punjab Province last month, according to her family. Tarkhani police have charged 25-year-old Muhammad Aftab, also known as Chandu, with raping a minor (section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code) in a sugar cane field in Village 226-GB, according to First Information Report (FIR) No. 429 at the Tarkhani Police Station. Aftab has been arrested and remanded to Central Jail Faisalabad.Aftab allegedly raped the girl on Dec. 10, Abid Masih, a 31-year-old relative of the girl, told Compass in village 226-GB, Tarkhani near Gojra.Family members said that doctors at Samundri THQ Hospital confirmed that the girl was raped, and the FIR also notes that the medical report by doctors at the hospital states that she was raped.“SHO [the Station House Officer] pleas to the honorable Court of Law to penalize the rapist/pedophile, who has confessed during interrogation to raping at least five other little Christian girls before this sad incident,” the FIR states. “The culprit is sent to Central jail Faisalabad under judicial remand on the orders of the court and deserves exemplary punishment.”“It’s not the first time he has raped a minor girl,” Abid Masih said. “He has raped at least five little Christian girls before this, but those families under pressure kept their mouths shut, and Christians also tried to force us to keep quiet and refrain from filing a police case, as they were fearful that it might worsen the relations between Christian and Muslim villagers.”Area sources said local Christians were angry with the family of Yousaf Masih for taking legal action against the rapist, believing that it would damage relations between Muslims and Christians.Hmmmm...."Damage the relations between Christians and Muslims"?Read the full story here.

• White House to Welcome Pakistani President.Pakistan is a mess, and its president is coming to the White House today looking for a little help and a lot of money.Asif Ali Zardari is only one bad day away from seeing his government toppled, either by a military junta backed by Muslim radicals or Muslim radicals in parliament backed by the military.Zardari, once chased out of the country on corruption charges and disdained for his international playboy lifestyle, is the husband of the martyred Benazir Bhutto. Zardari was able to call on his wife’s family political machine and deep sympathy to form a coalition government in 2007. But now, the national parliament is in a constant uproar, the all-powerful military is strangely quiet and Islamists are carrying out attacks with impunity.The latest dispatch from the nuclear-armed nation of 180 million is the story of Islamist militants murdering a woman and four relatives because she had joined the local police force in defiance of the Koran. They stormed her house and executed everyone inside. There is no expectation that the government will take any action against the killers.Under a new law, Christians face death for proselytizing and the lawmaker who dared speak out against the rule was killed by his own bodyguard, who is now a hero in much of the country.Secularist Zardari’s days would appear to be numbered, despite his efforts to placate the Muslim masses. The White House must be preparing for a replay of earlier this week when Lebanon’s prime minister lost his government at home to Hezbollah while in Washington to seek Obama’s help.As Obama steps up the American unofficial war effort against the Taliban in Western Pakistan and nudges Zardari for more help in rooting out al Queda, Zardari has come to be seen as a Western puppet. The military believes Zardari is knuckling under to Obama’s calls to make peace with their sworn enemies in India and the Muslim masses dislike the idea of using the country’s military to kill fellow Muslims at the behest of the Great Satan.But at the same time, the billions of U.S. dollars dumped onto Zardari’s government in the form of foreign aid are about all he has going for him. It greases his political operation and allows him to curry favor with the nation’s desperately poor underclass.If he’s not asking for asylum, Zardari will be asking for more money and for Obama to ease up on demands for Taliban hunting and peace with India. • Freedom House report says Turkey ‘Partly Free’.Turkey’s has remained a “partly free” country according to a report released on Thursday by Washington-based Freedom House, a leading US human rights organization. In its “Freedom in the World 2011” report, Freedom House graded countries on a scale of one to seven, ranging from the most free to least free, and gave Turkey three points both in terms of political rights and civil liberties, similar to previous years. Freedom House also included Turkey in the category of “partly free” countries. Upon a question on Turkey at a press conference for the release of the report, Freedom House Research Director Arch Puddington said there was “incredible political polarization” in Turkey.Puddington said, on the other hand, several developments that took place in Turkey last year caused alarm bells to ring at Freedom House. The official said his organization was particularly concerned about the Turkish government’s attitude towards the press, noting that measures against the media, taken both by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkish prosecutors, were considered “disturbing” by Freedom House.Hmmmm.....Next year ...Totally not free,like Iran?Readthe full story here.

• Turkey - Mother with 11-month-old baby jailed for stealing baby food.An Antalya woman has been arrested and put in jail over allegedly stealing some items from a market, including baby food for her 11-month-old baby. According to the Anatolia news agency, 26-year-old S.A. went to a supermarket with her friend S.Y. and stole olives, shampoo, pickles and baby food. She was apprehended by a staff member as she was leaving the market. S.A. was later detained by the police after the store manager filed a criminal complaint against her. She was arrested by the court she had been referred to and sent to the Antalya L Type Prison. S.Y. was also arrested. Speaking to Anatolia, S.A.’s lawyer, Mustafa Taşbaş, said the items his client is accused of stealing were given back to the supermarket. He said it is worrisome that a woman with financial difficulties is being jailed for allegedly stealing baby food for her child. • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Helped ‘Plant the Seeds’ for ‘Environmental Justice Movement,’ Says Attorney General Holder.Attorney General Eric Holder on Friday said Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. helped “plant the seeds” of the “environmental justice movement,” which Holder called a “civil rights issue” that is a “high priority” for the Justice Department.“In 2011, the burden of environmental degradation still falls disproportionately on low-income communities and communities of color, and most often on their youngest residents: our children, my children,” he told the audience at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington.“This is unacceptable. And it is unconscionable. • Pentagon Official: King Would Support Iraq, Afghan Wars (VIDEO).Although the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. is best remembered by the American public for fighting against racial discrimination, he was also an outspoken opponent of war and violence, most notably of the war in Vietnam. A top Obama administration official at the Department of Defense, however, argued Thursday that if King were alive, he would understand and perhaps even support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.At a Pentagon commemoration of King's accomplishments, DOD General Counsel Jeh Johnson suggested that today's wars are in line with the reverend's teachings. "I believe that if Dr. King were alive today, he would recognize that we live in a complicated world, and that our nation's military should not and cannot lay down its arms and leave the American people vulnerable to terrorist attack," Johnson said. "Every day, our servicemen and women practice the dangerousness -- the dangerous unselfishness Dr. King preached on April 3, 1968."In April 1967, King spoke out forcefully against the Vietnam War in a landmark speech at Riverside Church in New York City, criticizing the large amounts of money the United States was spending on fighting rather than taking care of its citizens domestically.Hmmmm....What's with the Obama administration new found love of Dr King?They're going to hijack him every five minute for their own goals now?I wonder what Dr King would have said about the "Obama way"?Read the full story here.

• BP gives 5% stake to state-owned Russian oil firm as they reveal plans to drill Arctic.BP signed a major deal last night that will see the Russian government own a chunk of Britain’s biggest oil firm.It sold 5 per cent of its shares – worth £5billion – to Russia’s state-owned energy firm Rosneft.Both companies have also agreed to co-operate in drilling for oil reserves in the Arctic.The historic share-swap deal could open up lucrative revenue streams for BP, which is the third largest energy firm in the world.But it also raises fresh concerns about the take-over of UK firms by foreign companies – including those, like Rosneft, that are effectively a branch of an overseas government.Questions will also be asked about the security of Britain’s energy supplies, given Russia’s history of playing politics with oil and other resources.Mr Dudley met Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin in Moscow earlier yesterday, before returning to BP’s London HQ to sign the deal.He added: ‘I do believe this is a historic moment for BP, for our industry and I believe for Russia and the wider world of energy globally.’Hmmmm.....Goodbye Pres Obama thanks for the treatment,we prefere Russia anyday!Read the full story here.

• HT:AhmadiyyaTimes.LAHORE: Two Christian women were beaten and publically humiliated by an angry mob over apparently frivolous blasphemy allegations and they and their family are now in hiding for fear of being killed, The Express Tribune has learnt.“None of our relatives is ready to let us stay with them. They fear the wrath of the extremists, particularly after the assassination of Salmaan Taseer,” a male member of the family said over the phone from an undisclosed location.The family and a non-governmental organisation that is helping them asked that their identities not be revealed, lest it put them in further danger. The names mentioned here are fictitious.According to the family, the allegations stem from a dispute between Amina, a Muslim, and her sister-in-law Zahira, a Christian, in an East Lahore locality. The two got into an argument on Tuesday night and though it appeared to have been settled, on Wednesday morning, after her husband Zahid had gone to work, Amina walked out onto the street and started shouting that Zahira had abused the Holy Prophet (pbuh).A short while later, a group of men led by Muhammad Sameer, a member of a religious organisation keen on raising its sectarian profile, forced their way into the house and started slapping Zahira, said another of her brothers, Sohail. “Other men and women from the neighbourhood started gathering at the house too and they beat up my sister and mother. They were the only people in the house,” he said.“We tried our best to get her to confess her crime,” Sameer told The Express Tribune.
