Luxembourg's foreign minister is accusing Turkish authorities of using methods reminiscent of those employed by Nazis in a crackdown following July's coup attempt.

Opposition parties in Turkey and human rights groups accuse the government of clamping down on all critics, not just alleged coup plotters.

Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn told Germany's Deutschlandfunk radio on Monday that people who've been fired have their names published, have no chance of finding another job and no income, and risk hunger.

Asselborn said: "These are methods, one must say this bluntly, that were used during Nazi rule. And there has been a really, really bad evolution in Turkey since July that we as the European Union cannot simply accept."


He says Turkey's strong economic ties with the EU are "absolutely a means of pressure."

"At a certain point in time, we won't have any choice but to apply it (sanctions) to counteract the unbearable human rights situation."

Turkey's EU Minister Omer Celik said Asselborn lacked knowledge of history, and that Ankara's actions should be equated to efforts to "protect democracy during the fight against the Nazis".

"The Nazis are like apprentices when compared with Gulenist terror organisations ... We are talking about an organisation that has massacred its own people with warplanes, tanks, warships and helicopters. Nobody should think that we will take a step back in our fight against them."

Erdogan said on Sunday he did not care if Europe called him a dictator and accused European nations of abetting terrorism by supporting Kurdish militants.

Iyad Abu Funun: Let me tell you, the Holocaust which the Zionists keep chanting about, and because of which they seek the solidarity of the world, saying: "We were burned, we were victims of racism and Nazism"… They are the Nazis! By Allah, they are more Nazi than Hitler. They are more criminal and racist than anyone else on Earth. Even according to their own books and false beliefs, they are more Nazi than Hitler. Hitler did not do anything! Hitler was a criminal killer, but if we compare him to them, they are the Nazis and the criminals.


They were lying about the Holocaust all along. In Arabic, "Holocaust" means: "offering sacrifices to the gods by burning." They think that we don't read history and don't know the details. I challenge any Zionist to provide even a single shred of evidence proving that the Holocaust really took place.


The figures that they talk about… Let's take, for example, [the claim] that Hitler burned six million Jews. Woe betide anyone who dares to doubt this figure – not even doubting the Holocaust itself, but just the figure, saying: "It was five million, not six million." Such a person is labeled a criminal, a terrorist. He must be liquidated and hanged from the gallows for making light of the Holocaust and doubting the figures. The Europeans themselves say that the number of Jews in Europe – not just in Germany, under Hitler's rule… The number of Jews in Europe in its entirety was six million. So how could Hitler possibly have killed six million? He would have annihilated them, leaving none alive.


So how did the Jewish figures come into being? According to the Jewish figures, the number of Jews before the Holocaust in the entire world – not just in Europe – was 16 million. In 1948, when they declared their entity in our occupied land, they said that there are 18 million Jews in the world. Ten years passed between the first figure and the second one. So where did six million of them go? How could they have been killed? These are their figures, not ours. They are not from Muslim historians, lest anyone should say: "You're questioning the figures, you're doubting the Holocaust, and you want to twist the facts."


We are not the only ones who are saying this. Look at all the American lawyers and judges who were imprisoned, as well as the British and even some Jews. There were even some Jews who were imprisoned for doubting the figures. Some lawyers in Austria were placed on trial for the sole reason that they doubted the figures.


The facts prove that in the last Nazi convention, when Hitler decided to elevate the Aryan race and to distance the other races from it, he did not propose to exterminate the Jews. That is not true. He proposed a plan for Germany to get rid of the other, unwanted, races. Therefore, in that convention he proposed that the Jews go to Madagascar. So how can we say that on the one hand, he wanted to exterminate the Jews, but on the other hand, he wanted to send them to Madagascar?

A Canadian imam known for his pacifist sermons warned Friday that Islamist militant group ISIS was actively recruiting in Canada and said one member issued him a death threat.

Syed Soharwardy, founder of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada (ISCC), called on Canadian and Western authorities to intensify the fight against Islamist militant movements.

"Absolutely I am convinced that this recruitment is going on right here in this country, under our noses, in our universities, in our colleges, in the places of worship, in our community," he told CBC public television.

Soharwardy added that a Muslim man from Ottawa who was fighting with ISIS in Mosul in northern Iraq had sent him a death threat on Facebook.

"He was condemning me for condemning ISIS, and he was saying that 'You are a deviant imam and your version of Islam is not the right version,'" Soharwardy said, using another acronym by which ISIS is known.

The Calgary-based imam said such threats were nothing new.

"I get death threats from everybody," he said, adding that "just last month I had a death threat posted on a website."

In February, intelligence services said at least 130 Canadians were fighting with ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

"Three Calgarian young fellows died in Iraq and Syria fighting for ISIS. One of them was very known to me," he said.

"These people are brainwashing people here in this country," he added.

Soharwardy also began a 48-hour hunger strike "to create awareness about the dangerous nature of ISIS" and pay homage to American journalist James Foley, who was executed by his jihadist captors in a video released Tuesday by ISIS.


“This whole epidemic of Muslim youth getting involved is quite alarming...I will reach out to as many of them as I can, especially those on the borderline,” he said, adding he’s been in touch with Canadian authorities about his latest contacts with extremists.

But they haven’t been the only ones critical of him, he said.

Members of his community have called him a hypocrite for condemning ISIS while Israel kills Palestinians in Gaza, said Soharwardy.

And non-Muslims wrath has increased over ISIS’s crimes, he said.

“I’m getting it from Muslims and non-Muslims,” said Soharwardy, adding the hunger strike also promotes understanding of Islam.

The match, which ended in a 2-1 loss for the Americans (who still advanced out of the so-called Group of Death because Portugal simultaneously beat Ghana), roused some pretty ugly nods to the past on Twitter, according to a graph shared by user @DrewG7.

"Die Welt" exclusive: 69 years after Heinrich Himmler's suicide his private letters and photographs have surfaced in Israel.

They provide insight into the life of one of the main orchestrators of the Holocaust.

"Die Welt" obtained copies of the previously unpublished documents that have been kept in the private home of an Israeli Jew for a very long time. Eventually they came into the possession of a private archive and are now stored in a bank vault in Tel Aviv. 

In addition to the letters Himmler wrote to his wife Margarethe (Marga) from 1927 to five weeks before his suicide in 1945, there are many previously unknown photographs, and the estate of Himmler's foster son and other papers such as recipe books.

According to the German Federal Archive's (Bundesarchiv) expert assessment, there is verifiable proof that the documents are authentic. 

President Michael Hollmann told "Die Welt": "We are sure about these documents." In the expert opinion of the world's most important institution dealing with the written legacy of the "Third Reich", it says: "There is no reason to doubt the authenticity of the documents in Tel Aviv. "

Israel - Holocaust survivors rally against Lithuanian FM.(YNet).Some 15 people, including Holocaust survivors, protested Monday evening against the Lithuanian foreign minister, who is visiting Israel to attend a commercial business conference at Tel Aviv's Dan Panorama hotel.
The protesters, who held signs in Hebrew and English reading "where is your conscience? Where is your solidarity with the Holocaust survivors?", claimed Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis had made anti-Semitic comments in the past, and that the Lithuanian government has made attempts to "belittle the memory of the Holocaust."
Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center Dr. Efraim Zuroff said that Azubalis is "a guest of honor for Israeli groups doing business here. However, this is a man who has made anti-Semitic remarks and opposed a bill that would have helped Lithuanian Jews get their stolen property returned." According to Zuroff, "Lithuania's government has been fighting a battle to turn the Holocaust into another tragedy among many. Their aim is to place Nazis and Communists on an equal footing. That is to say they are comparing between those who build the Auschwitz and those who liberated it. This angers us and that's why we're protesting," he exclaimed.
Attorney Yossef Melamed, an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor who attended the protest told Ynet: "I was 17 during the Holocaust. After the war, me and a few of my friends compiled a list of 3,000 Lithuanians who we believe cooperated with the Nazis."Melamed said he later discovered that "some names on the list are considered to be national heroes in Lithuania," adding that he was accused of making false allegations and even interrogated by police officers who came to his house and told him that he might be sued.

• Who Is The Real 'Reich Wing'?(DougRoss).A favorite pejorative used by the progressive left is 'Reich Wing', designed to tar conservatives as Nazi-like extremists. Notwithstanding its nature as a premature violation of Godwin's Law, the term implies a certain set of characteristics presumably endemic to conservatives.But let's examine those attributes to see if they have merit.

On the Constitution

While conservatives advocate for fidelity and loyalty to the nation's highest law -- the United States Constitution -- the progressive left tries to evade it. The term they use is "living and breathing", which simply means that the left can morph the law into whatever shape it wishes.

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan outlined the progressive's perspective in a 1993 tribute to Justice Thurgood Marshall. She quoted from a 1987 speech Marshall in which he said the Constitution as originally conceived and drafted was "defective" and that the mission of the Supreme Courtwas to “show a special solicitude for the despised and the disadvantaged.”

In other words, the Constitution could be "adjusted" to benefit certain parties at the expense of others -- certainly a far cry from the image of justice as a blindfolded seer weighing the merits of two arguments.

In 1933 Adolf Hitler subverted Germany's Weimar Constitution using subterfuge and pretext to eradicate civil rights.

Less than a month after Adolf Hitler’s appointment as chancellor in 1933, the Reichstag Fire Decree invoked Article 48 of the Weimar Constitution, suspending several constitutional protections on civil rights. The articles affected were 114 (habeas corpus), 115 (inviolability of residence), 117 (correspondence privacy), 118 (freedom of expression /censorship), 123 (assembly), 124 (associations), and 153 (expropriation).

On Free Speech

Conservatives believe in free political speech, in each and every situation. But that is not the case with today's leftists.

Put together the left's advocacy of "the Fairness Doctrine", its insistence on "Community Standards" for media, its hatred of the "Citizens United" decision, its efforts to "sabotage" certain news outlets, and one can come to no other conclusion but that it appears terrified of free speech.

No less an eminence grise than then-SCOTUS nominee Elena Kagan asserted that the United States government can ban political books and movies if necessary.

Elena Kagan argued on behalf of Citizens United essentially stating it would not be a violation of the First Amendment to have movies or even books banned. Of course, she only meant certain movies/books for specific times, but even so, I believe the point remains... all tyrants find a pretext for their tyranny. That tyranny may even begin with a humble, caring act, but one day we awake to find we have lost all freedom.

In Nazi Germany, officials banned at least 4,100 different publications. Censorship of media was a regular occurrence and all political messaging emanated from government bureaucrats.

On Intimidation by Uniformed Civilian Forces

Tea Party protests by conservative activists were uniformly civil and represented a true "rainbow coalition" of people with every background, race, religion, and culture.
In Wisconsin and other states, the Left used uniformed civilian enforcers -- including purple-clad SEIU thugs -- to threaten, intimidate and coerce lawmakers and taxpayers.In Nazi Germany, the term Sturmabteilung (also known as 'Brown-shirts') was used to describe a para-military force deployed by Hitler prior to 1934. They were employed as street thugs and enforcers to attack the Nazis' political rivals in order to secure more power for Hitler's ring of leaders.

From chants of 'Yes We Can' to a curious iconography that lives on even today, the rise of Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign was orchestrated using a marketing approach that could be considered the construction of a "cult of personality."Obama was deified in the mainstream press, highlighted in scores of photos using a "halo effect", and lobbed softball questions during television appearances that seemed more like infomercials than serious journalistic affairs.

Such was the case with the rise of the Third Reich. Both efforts aim to help researchers, policy makers, health providers and advocates to identify and address health disparities afflicting these communities.Under the plan announced today, HHS will integrate questions on sexual orientation into national data collection efforts by 2013 and begin a process to collect information on gender identity. This plan includes the testing of questions on sexual orientation to potentially be incorporated into the National Health Interview Survey. The department also intends to convene a series of research roundtables with national experts to determine the best way to help the department collect data specific to gender identity. “The first step is to make sure we are asking the right questions,” Secretary Sebelius said. “Sound data collection takes careful planning to ensure that accurate and actionable data is being recorded.”The proposed standards for collection and reporting of data on race, ethnicity, sex, primary language and disability status in population health surveys are intended to help federal agencies refine their population health surveys in ways that will help researchers better understand health disparities and zero in on effective strategies for eliminating them.The race and ethnicity standards, for example, will provide additional categories from which racial and ethnic differences in health care and outcomes can be examined in more detail, particularly among Asian, Hispanic/Latino and Pacific Islander populations. The disability standards would consist of six items that are already being used successfully in the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey. Because the public opposes these Obama priorities, Congress won't pass his amnesty agenda. In fact, Congress wants to pass mandatory E-Verify for employers to check whether job applicants are legally in the country. Obama opposes it.Not to worry, big employers looking for cheap, exploitable, illegal labor. Not to worry, Democratic Party desperately looking for a way to win in 2012. Obama has simply dictated the amnesty. Mission accomplished. On to wiping out corporate jets. How did amnesty for illegals happen?Failing to get support for Obama's legislative agenda in Congress, La Raza and other open-border advocate groups have long pressured Obama to issue an Executive Order to implement the DREAM Act (placing illegals ahead of citizen students in college), and the "path to citizenship" (illegals get an immediate green card while learning English and paying back taxes at their leisure). Obama publicly refused to do so, proclaiming, "That's not how democracy works."But this is how dictatorship works. An "Executive Order is not even necessary. Education and Outreach Initiative grants (EOI) – HUD awarded $6.8 million to organizations that educate the public and housing providers about their rights and obligations under federal, state, and local fair housing laws. Groups will also conduct fair lending workshops, community meetings, and individual counseling activities focused on homeowners at risk for discrimination.According to HUD, the grant money came out of fiscal 2010 appropriations.That’s a big problem.As I reported previously, in 2009 Congress passed four separate appropriations measures that contained language blocking federal funds from flowing to ACORN during federal fiscal year 2010, which ran from Oct. 1, 2009 through Sept. 30, 2010. All four of the laws prevent ACORN and its affiliated groups from receiving federal taxpayer dollars.The funding prohibition in Public Law 111-117 (PDF) applies specifically to HUD. It spells out in pretty clear terms that ACORN shouldn’t be getting any government funding. Let’s see just how clearly it spells it out: Division A – Section 418. • Report: Iran smuggled weapons to Iraq, Afghanistan.(Ynet).The Iranian military smuggled new deadly munitions to its allies in Iraq and Afghanistan in recent months in order to accelerate the US withdrawals from these countries, The Wall Street Journal reported.Citing unnamed US officials, the newspaper said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has supplied its allies with rocket-assisted projectiles, which have already killed American troops.The officials said Iranians had also given long-range rockets to the Taliban in Afghanistan, increasing the insurgents' ability to hit US and other coalition positions from a safer distance, the report said. "I think we are likely to see these Iranian-backed groups continue to maintain high attack levels," Major General James Buchanan, the top US military spokesman in Iraq, told The Journal. "But they are not going to deter us from doing everything we can to help the Iraqi security forces." Violence killed more Iraqis last month than at any time since September, figures showed on Friday after the US reported deaths that also made June the deadliest month for its troops in Iraq for three years.The Baghdad government blames al-Qaeda for most of the 271 deaths of its citizens last month, while the US military accuses Iranian-backed Shiite insurgent groups for the attacks that killed 14 Americans. He said: “The country has a straight line to abide by and a clear road map to follow, but there are those who want to obstruct the progress that would go according to this line. The road ahead is going to be a proclamation of a Constitution that is based on a process that gives it official legitimacy of sovereignty. There is nothing that can stop that path; neither a hundred million signatures or demonstrations, nor any effort to cancel the result of the referendum. What is approved can only be abolished by a new referendum, which is kind of impossible, because this would mean returning to square one.” He added: “Among the slogans of the revolution was that “the army and the people are one hand”, and we (the Muslim Brotherhood) criticized the military a lot and are still doing so, and we will tell the army - if it violates the Road Map set out by the Constitutional Declaration - that we bid to differ and we clearly say "no" to any such attempt. If the army adopts the notion of “Constitution First”, we will be the first to stand against that." El-Erian said that the essence of the referendum is the constitutional declaration, despite some changes in the articles that were approved in the national referendum. El-Erian also said that the only way is to have an agreement among the various political forces and parties to avoid any differences, adding that the ''features of the final status of the document that would be governing the actions of those forces in the next elections should be defined'', together with discussing all proposals and security concerns as well as economic development matters. Regarding proposals to have some constitutional articles, and the debate on the civil state and state identity, Dr. Essam El-Erian said that the people should be the authors of the Constitution, calling for everyone to sit at one table to say what they want. He said that the Muslim Brotherhood says that all parties and factions should sit at one table and reach a consensus, then throw that to the people and see how the people will decide about these proposals. El-Erian said he believes that there is no dispute that the State should be for all Egyptians, with a democratic political system and the Islamic Sharia as the reference. He said: "Those who opposed Islamic law before the referendum have now returned and agreed to the principles of Islamic law - and these principles are to ensure and guarantee the rights of all Egyptians. This very same idea has been expressed by Pope Shenouda himself, as he said that Islamic Sharia gives him what he wants regarding the personal status (i.e. marital) law."Regarding adding a paragraph to the second article of the Constitution that allows for non-Muslims to resort to their own rituals and laws in family matters, Dr. Essam El-Erian said: "The party that is allowed to add new clauses, phrases or paragraphs to the constitution is the people, and thus, the Constituent Assembly is the entity that would decide on all such issues." He also pointed out his opinion that there is no harm in adding such phrase or statement in the event of it being approved."In response to the inquiry about the position of the Muslim Brotherhood regarding having a woman or a Copt assuming the post of the presidency of the republic, El-Erian said that "no one has the right to withdraw the right of any Egyptian citizen – man or woman – from exercising his/her rights, even if this was not stated in the Constitution". El-Erian also said that the FJP sees that there are two ways to handle the issue of exporting Egyptian gas to Israel, which he described as a crime committed by the former regime against all Egyptians. The first way out is "procedural"; i.e. re-consideration and revision of these agreements and the global gas prices and comparing this with the present deal made with Israel, and thus, we should study the consequences of stopping exporting gas in case the contract is cancelled. The second would be to treat it realistically said El-Erian, which would be stopping exporting the gas through shutting down the pipeline. He said that this solution is easier, and such solutions are employed by states at certain times. He said that this is a kind of interruptive measure that takes the form of a combat maneuver.The vice-president of the FJP said that he believes the will of the people should decide on the peace agreement signed with Israel; so if the people decide to reject it, we must respect their will. The faithful fill two floors, listening to the cleric's sermon on the true sense of the traditional greeting "salaam aleikum" – peace be upon you. This, Shethri says, means love thy neighbour.It is a moderate message from a man who even in fiercely conservative Saudi Arabia, home to the most rigorous strands of Muslim practice in the world, is considered a hardliner. Only 18 months ago, Shethri, 46, was fired from the country's high council of religious scholars by King Abdullah, who has ruled the kingdom since 2005.His offence was to have criticised the king's decision to allow male and female researchers to work together at the new multibillion pound science university built on the Red Sea coast. The king had called the university, a key part of Saudi Arabia's drive towards economic modernisation, a "beacon of tolerance". • Christian Iranian man facing execution.(Persian2English).Based on the latest unconfirmed reports, the Iranian Supreme Court may have overturned the death sentence for Yousef Nadarkhani.According to reports received from Nadarkhani’s relatives, which HRANA has been unable to independently confirm, the Supreme Court has expressed its opinion by offering three options:

1. The case be returned to the same preliminary court for retrial.
2. The case be referred to a court on the same level as preliminary court with new charges laid, and old charges thrown out.
3. The case and the charges be dismissed.

This ruling has not yet been issued to Nadarkhani’s lawyers. The lawyers are unable to confirm this ruling. The source of the report is an oral report received by the defendant and his family.Nadarkhani’s relatives have told HRANA that branch 11 of the Gilan Judiciary has asked the defendant to be interrogated on his Islamic beliefs and one of the three following decisions be made:

1. If he is a Muslim, he would be released.
2. If he is a Christian convert, he is asked to repent [and then would be released].
3. If he is a Christian convert, and insists on his Christian beliefs, he would be executed.

Branch 11 has based its approach on section 167 of the Islamic Republic constitution that states: “The judge is bound to make a decision on each case based on the codified law. In the case of the absence of any such law, he has to deliver his judgement on the basis of authoritative Islamic sources and authentic Fatwa [religious decrees]. He, on the pretext of the silence of or deficiency of law in the matter, or its brevity or contradictory nature, cannot refrain from admitting and examining cases and delivering his judgement.” The relatives of Mr. Nadrkhani say that based on the fact that out of the three options given by the Supreme Court, the case has not been sent to another court, nor has it been dismissed. It is probable that the case will be retried all over again, and preliminary investigation and interrogation be launched.Given the sensitivity of the case, HRANA will try its best to report on the developments as accurately as possible. - Iranian Supreme Court upholds death sentence of man on charge of “apostasy” June 30, 2011.On June 28th, the Supreme Court of Iran rejected the appeal of Yousef Nadarkhani against his death sentence and upheld his conviction and the sentence.According to HRANA, Yousef Nadarkhani is accused of abandoning Islam and converting to Christianity at the age of 19. According to judicial authorities, he has been preaching and propagating Christianity since his conversion.He was sentenced to death by branch 11 of the Gilan (province in Iran) Judiciary for “apostasy and preaching Christianity” to his Muslim compatriots.Yousef Nadarkhani has been imprisoned since October 12, 2009.If the execution is conducted, it will be the first execution of such a [charge] in 20 years. The last [person executed on a similar charge] was Hossein Soudmand. he was hanged in a prison in Mashhad (capital city of the Khorasan province) on December 3, 1990 for insisting on his Christian beliefs. A seven-member Supreme Court-appointed team is at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram taking stock at the shrine.The chambers near the temple’s sanctum sanctorum are believed to contain priceless gold and silver ornaments. The chambers had been kept shut for the last 130 years but were finally opened on June 27 following a Supreme Court order.One of the chambers believed to have remained shut for nearly a century revealed precious jewels, stones, ornaments and metal lamps of rare heritage and antique values when it was opened and examined on Thursday.The inner recess of this chamber was believed to have previously been opened during the reign of Travancore ruler Sree Visakham Tirunal about 130 years back. The opening of the first four chambers showed that three of them housed gold ornaments, vessels, jewels and precious stones worth hundreds of crores of rupees. It also had gold chains, diamond-studded bracelets, a crown and a golden bow. The temple, built in 18th century by King Marthanda Varma of the Travancore royal lineage, is run by a trust under control of the royal house and Lord Padmanabha is the family deity of Travancore Royal house.The Supreme Court appointed committee consists of two former Kerala High Court judges. If Christian men happened to fall in love with Muslim women then they faced the death penalty because it is forbidden in Islam, however, countless numbers of Christian women were taken by Muslims, just like in modern day Egypt and Pakistan, and the legal authorities deemed this permissible.In fact the myth of peaceful Islam in Bosnia could not be further from the truth because conditions for Christians in Bosnia was especially brutal because the landed elites who were Muslim, ruled over their Christian subjects with disdain. The Western hype of multi-cultural Bosnia is just that and in the middle of the 19th century you had around one hundred mosques in Sarajevo but only one Orthodox Christian church.Non-Muslims suffered the fate of being dhimmis and converts to Islam used their power in order to maintain a system which supported every indignity that you could imagine. It was a policy based on the "superior Muslims" against the "enslaved Christians" and if the Christians did not accept dhimmitude, paying heavy taxes via jizya, and allowing young Christian boys to be converted to Islam and taken away to Istanbul, then the Islamic sword awaited them.World War Two also witnessed the mutual support of the Muslim elites with Nazi Germany and Orthodox Christians faced the brutality of many forces. This notably applies to the Croatian Catholic Ustasha regime which was genocidal towards the Serbian Orthodox Christians and it must be stated that Muslims participated fully within the military wing and police force of this brutal and barbaric regime. At the same time Muslims served under the Nazi regime of Germany and the 13th Volunteer Mountain Division of the Waffen-SS (Handschar) was famous for killing Orthodox Christians.John R. Schindler states that "Despite strong local support, Himmler's Bosnian division ultimately did little to help the Nazi cause or defend the Bosnian Muslims…….the 13th Division's actual combat record was slight, while its depredations against unarmed Serbs were impressive; the Muslim troops spent more time killing and looting than actually fighting…….the 13th Division ended the war ingloriously, plagued by war crimes and desertion." Page 36 -- Unholy TerrorAgain, it must be remembered that this Bosnia is the same Bosnia that Western journalists and academics claimed was peaceful and based on religious and ethnic toleration. It would appear that these journalists and academics deem the control of land in the hands of Muslims; converting Christian boys to Islam by the barbaric devshirme system; killing Christian males for marrying Muslim women; no rights under law during cases involving Christians and Muslims; a brutal jizya tax system; the mass inequality of the dhimmitude system; and the fact that Muslims joined forces with both the Ustasha fascist regime and the Nazi SS; somehow, all this in the eyes of Western academics and journalists meant ethnic and religious bliss.If the same journalists and academics had vindicated Western European and Arab slavery of Africans in Africa then the mass media would have ridiculed such disgraceful notions of history. However, the same mantra was used in order to vindicate the Muslim side in Bosnia during the 1990s.The communist interlude in Yugoslavia certainly contained Islamists in Bosnia but Muslim elites like Alija Izetbegovic were waiting in the wings and his pan-Islamic dreams for the Islamization of Bosnia and then further afield remained strong. However, when the conflict broke out in 1992 the media in the West remained silent about this and other future crimes by both Bosnian Islamists and international Islamic jihadists who glorified in beheading Orthodox Christians and spreading a new Islamic jihad.The hidden "Islamic jihad" in Bosnia was covered up because this suited the needs of interested parties and it was not productive to show America, Alija Izetbegovic, Al-Qa'ida, the global jihadist network, and other nations, working hand in hand. Therefore, the "Muslim victim card" was played and the same applies to re-writing history. The Serbians, who had been the victims of Islamic jihad under the Ottomans and then suffered so brutally under the Ustasha/Nazi/Islamic collaboration during World War Two, were once more victims, just like they had been under the Habsburg Empire, because during the 1990s it is clear that the mass media sided with all anti-Serbian forces. This applies to supporting Croatia, the Muslims of Bosnia, and the Albanian Muslims of Kosovo.In my article called Bosnia and Clinton's Radical Islamists, I comment that "Sky News has obtained clear and proper evidence of a major cover-up and footages of massacres against Serbian Christians have been seen. The same Islamic forces which unleashed September 11th and which stone people to death in order to create "year zero," were welcomed openly by ex-President Clinton and by people within his administration."It is clear that the Bosnian Serbs cannot trust the international community because of past deeds and the ongoing reality of Kosovo where Orthodox Christians reside in fear and in the knowledge that many Orthodox Christian churches and monasteries have been destroyed.The past reality of Islam in Bosnia means that you have no history of mutual co-existence because dhimmitude, jizya, pogroms, and the devshirme system was brutal. Therefore, you had a Muslim landed elite and an Orthodox Christian peasantry which was taxed heavily in order to maintain Islamic power and control.If not, the Serbs face another de-Orthodox Christianization reality and this factuality can be seen in modern day Kosovo where their culture, churches, and community is under constant threat. The rich history of Orthodox Christianity in Kosovo faces a bleak future and one of little hope. The region is Moslem, but there is no tradition of Islamic radicalism. Centuries of Russian domination have made Islamic lifestyle alien to Central Asian peoples and forced Islamic groups to stress unemployment and economic issues as a primary recruiting tool. Madrassases (religious schools) are key recruiting sources in most of the Islamic world, but in Central Asia, there are few of these schools and they are closely watched by police. Tajikistan believes Islamic radicals are supporting themselves by aiding drug smugglers (moving heroin and other drugs out of Afghanistan). The presence of Tajik, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz minorities in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan is also a continuing source of disorder, and sometimes a recruiting opportunity for Islamic radicals.Iran has been aiding (openly and covertly) the Shia minority (about ten percent) in Tajikistan. Shia missionaries have also converted many Sunni Tajiks. This causes more violence with Sunni Islamic radicals, who consider Shia heretics. The Shia consider the Sunnis misguided and in need of Shia leadership. Iran is also exploiting the fact that Tajiks and Iranians are both Indo-European peoples, and have long been in conflict with Turkic groups like the Uzbeks, and Kyrgyz.January 4, 2011: In Kyrgyzstan's capital, a group of Islamic terrorists killed three policemen. In Tajikistan, police killed eight Islamic terrorists, believed part of a group that killed 25 soldiers last September. • RCMP probe report saying Canadians training with al-Qaida in Pakistan for jihad.TORONTO - The RCMP is probing an online news report that says a group of Canadian militants is training for jihad in Pakistani al-Qaida camps.Hong Kong-based Asia Times Online cites "well-placed Taliban sources" saying the terrorist group is training a number of Western Caucasians — Canadians in particular— for attacks in Canada.Assistant RCMP commissioner Gilles Michaud told the Canadian Press Friday that the Mounties and their security and intelligence partners were assessing the information in the report for its "credibility and reliability."Michaud said the RCMP would take "appropriate action" according to the results of that assessment, which he added was being carried out as quickly as possible.In the report, a militant from Pakistan's North Waziristan region claims 12 Canadians went to Afghanistan last February and received basic jihadi training.Arif Wazir says the Canadians were sent to Pakistan in November for "special courses" that included the use of sophisticated weapons and how to connect with local smuggling networks in North America.The Asia Times report goes on to quote Wazir saying the Canadians will eventually return home to execute al-Qaida's plan to target Canada's big cities.The article says the Canadians joined an Egyptian militant organization, Jihad al-Islami, which helped them get to Afghanistan in the first place.A report released in October by George Washington University's Homeland Security Policy Institute and the Swedish National Defence College's Center for Asymmetric Threat Studies warned that radicalized Westerners who easily travel around the world represent a growing terrorism threat.And the report urged the U.S. and its European allies to work together to confront this new threat.Read the full story here.

Zardari was able to call on his wife’s family political machine and deep sympathy to form a coalition government in 2007. But now, the national parliament is in a constant uproar, the all-powerful military is strangely quiet and Islamists are carrying out attacks with impunity.The latest dispatch from the nuclear-armed nation of 180 million is the story of Islamist militants murdering a woman and four relatives because she had joined the local police force in defiance of the Koran. They stormed her house and executed everyone inside. There is no expectation that the government will take any action against the killers.Under a new law, Christians face death for proselytizing and the lawmaker who dared speak out against the rule was killed by his own bodyguard, who is now a hero in much of the country.Secularist Zardari’s days would appear to be numbered, despite his efforts to placate the Muslim masses. • Freedom House report says Turkey ‘Partly Free’.Turkey’s has remained a “partly free” country according to a report released on Thursday by Washington-based Freedom House, a leading US human rights organization. In its “Freedom in the World 2011” report, Freedom House graded countries on a scale of one to seven, ranging from the most free to least free, and gave Turkey three points both in terms of political rights and civil liberties, similar to previous years. Freedom House also included Turkey in the category of “partly free” countries. Upon a question on Turkey at a press conference for the release of the report, Freedom House Research Director Arch Puddington said there was “incredible political polarization” in Turkey.Puddington said, on the other hand, several developments that took place in Turkey last year caused alarm bells to ring at Freedom House. • Turkey - Mother with 11-month-old baby jailed for stealing baby food.An Antalya woman has been arrested and put in jail over allegedly stealing some items from a market, including baby food for her 11-month-old baby. According to the Anatolia news agency, 26-year-old S.A. went to a supermarket with her friend S.Y. and stole olives, shampoo, pickles and baby food. She was apprehended by a staff member as she was leaving the market. S.A. was later detained by the police after the store manager filed a criminal complaint against her. She was arrested by the court she had been referred to and sent to the Antalya L Type Prison. S.Y. was also arrested. Speaking to Anatolia, S.A.’s lawyer, Mustafa Taşbaş, said the items his client is accused of stealing were given back to the supermarket. He said it is worrisome that a woman with financial difficulties is being jailed for allegedly stealing baby food for her child. A top Obama administration official at the Department of Defense, however, argued Thursday that if King were alive, he would understand and perhaps even support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.At a Pentagon commemoration of King's accomplishments, DOD General Counsel Jeh Johnson suggested that today's wars are in line with the reverend's teachings. "I believe that if Dr. King were alive today, he would recognize that we live in a complicated world, and that our nation's military should not and cannot lay down its arms and leave the American people vulnerable to terrorist attack," Johnson said. They fear the wrath of the extremists, particularly after the assassination of Salmaan Taseer,” a male member of the family said over the phone from an undisclosed location.The family and a non-governmental organisation that is helping them asked that their identities not be revealed, lest it put them in further danger. The names mentioned here are fictitious.According to the family, the allegations stem from a dispute between Amina, a Muslim, and her sister-in-law Zahira, a Christian, in an East Lahore locality. The two got into an argument on Tuesday night and though it appeared to have been settled, on Wednesday morning, after her husband Zahid had gone to work, Amina walked out onto the street and started shouting that Zahira had abused the Holy Prophet (pbuh).A short while later, a group of men led by Muhammad Sameer, a member of a religious organisation keen on raising its sectarian profile, forced their way into the house and started slapping Zahira, said another of her brothers, Sohail. “Other men and women from the neighbourhood started gathering at the house too and they beat up my sister and mother. They were the only people in the house,” he said.“We tried our best to get her to confess her crime,” Sameer told The Express Tribune. As a member of the religious organisation, he said he could not tolerate any derogatory remarks about the Holy Prophet (pbuh).Sameer added that he was very proud of his wife’s performance during the mob beating. “She beat Zahira more than anyone else. Her hand is so swollen that she hasn’t been able to make rotis since the day of the incident. I’ve been getting my meals from a restaurant,” he said.Malik Mumtaz Qadri, the self-confessed assassin of Salmaan Taseer, is a member of the same group as Sameer. The group also runs a twenty-four hour cable TV channel.Khadim Hazoor, Sameer’s son-in-law and another participant in the beating, said that the women’s faces were blackened and they were made to wear necklaces of shoes and paraded around the locality on donkeys to humiliate them.
