A Canadian arrested in Tataouine, while trying to illegally reach Libya, will be brought before the national brigade in the fight against terrorism.
A Canadian converted to radical Islam was arrested last Tuesday near the border crossing of Dehiba. He intended to go to Nalut, located between Tripoli and Ghadames, Libya. The suspect had told the police that he was studying the Arab and Islam and that he had no connection to terrorism. But he finally confessed he planned to join jihadist Libyan Nalut where a chef was waiting to take him to a terrorist training camp.
The accused was transferred last night in Tunis and will be questioned by the national fight against terrorism Brigade.

ISIS in Libya are using simulator devices in Sirte airport, Training to Fly Planes. (AW).
ISIS terrorists in the city of Sirte, northern Libya, are training to fly planes using at least one flight simulator according to military sources in the North African state. The sources added that there is a prevailing belief amongst investigators that the device was seized from the training departments of Gaddafi’s looted airports.
Other sources stated that “It’s a modern simulator, which may have arrived from abroad”, noting that it was roughly the size of a small car. The simulator is complete with a steering wheel to practice take-off and landing, a radar screen, and a communications device to contact the control tower.
A senior Libyan military officer said in an interview during a recent visit to Cairo that a group of ISIS leaders, amongst them retired officers from Libya and a number of neighbouring countries, obtained the first simulator device that specialises in civilian planes last October. Security services have gathered new information from Sirte during the last two weeks suggesting that another fighter jet simulator had arrived. However, its type remains unknown.
A security official working in a team that follows the activity of ISIS in North Africa said that information about ISIS militants training to fly civilian planes in Libya exists and added that the Libyan Air Force which lacks armaments attempted to hit at least one base where the training is believed to take place several times but that the operations were unsuccessful.

Isis leader in Libya Abu Nabil 'killed by US air strike'.
Isis leader in Libya Abu Nabil 'killed by US air strike'. (Independent).
Nabil is suspected of appearing in an Isis video which showed the brutal beach murders of kidnapped Coptic Christians.
Isis's senior leader in Libya is believed to have been killed by a US air strike. The Pentagon announced that a strike on a compound in Derna is likely to have killed Abu Nabil, also known as Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al-Zubayadi.
The operation took place early on 13 November, before the terrorist attacks in Paris later in the day. Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook said that the strike showed that Isis’s leaders would be targetted “wherever they operate”. He added in a statement released on 14 November: “Nabil’s death will degrade Isil’s ability to meet the group’s objectives in Libya, including recruiting new Isil members, establishing bases in Libya, and planning external attacks on the United States.”
Nabil is believed to be a long-term al-Qaeda militant who was previously operating in Iraq. He is suspected of appearing in an Isis video which showed the brutal beach murders of kidnapped Coptic Christians in February. The film included threats of future attacks on “people of the cross”. Two F-15 fighter jets are understood to have carried out the strikes which killed him. Hmmm......Terrorism expert Max Abrahams has a very interesting theory on the fallout from targeting the terrorist Leadership.Read the full story here.

Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Will Have Church Dedicated to Christian Martyrs executed by ISIS.
Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Will Have Church Dedicated to Christian Martyrs executed by ISIS. (Zenit).
This report is contributed by Oliver Maksan of Aid to the Church in Need.
The gruesome images of the 21 Christians who were beheaded last February by Islamic State terrorists have left a deep imprint on the memory of Christian Egyptians.
Now a new church dedicated to the martyrs—who are formally recognized as such by Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Church—will honor their memory in a tangible fashion. This week—after a long delay—work began on laying the foundations of the new church in the Coptic-Orthodox Diocese of Samalout, from which most of the martyrs came.
The project had been authorized directly by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi shortly after the tragedy, but resistance by local Muslim authorities delayed the start of construction.
Bishop Paphnutius of Samalout said: “We are extremely proud of our martyrs. Although they were forced to kneel before their executioners, they were the stronger. Their murderers were the weaker, despite their weapons. Why would they have concealed their faces otherwise? It could only have been because they were afraid,” he insisted. “Our sons by contrast were very strong and called on our Lord until their very last breath.”
Bishop Paphnutius interprets their martyrdom spiritually. “The Church has always known that the blood of martyrs is the seed of faith. It will remain so until the end of time,” he said.
“From Alexandria to Aswan, throughout Egypt, Christians have been strengthened in their faith. Muslims from all over have also told us that they are proud; they say that our martyrs have shown that we Egyptians are very strong. Their death fills all of us, Christians and Muslims alike, with pride.”
The crime’s repercussions are still felt today. After all, the martyrs have left widows and children behind. “Thanks to generous donors, we are able to provide for the surviving dependants,” stated Bishop Paphnutius.

Now that the truth emerges: 'Benghazi Gate' comes to mind.
'Benghazi Gate' - Now the truth emerges: how the US fueled the rise of Isis in Syria and Iraq. (Guardian).
The war on terror, that campaign without end launched 14 years ago by George Bush, is tying itself up in ever more grotesque contortions. On Monday the trial in London of a Swedish man, Bherlin Gildo, accused of terrorism in Syria, collapsed after it became clear British intelligence had been arming the same rebel groups the defendant was charged with supporting.
The prosecution abandoned the case, apparently to avoid embarrassing the intelligence services. The defence argued that going ahead withthe trial would have been an “affront to justice” when there was plenty of evidence the British state was itself providing “extensive support” to the armed Syrian opposition.
That didn’t only include the “non-lethal assistance” boasted of by the government (including body armour and military vehicles), but training, logistical support and the secret supply of “arms on a massive scale”. Reports were cited that MI6 had cooperated with the CIA on a “rat line” of arms transfers from Libyan stockpiles to the Syrian rebels in 2012 after the fall of the Gaddafi regime.
A revealing light on how we got here has now been shone by a recently declassified secret US intelligence report, written in August 2012, which uncannily predicts – and effectively welcomes – the prospect of a “Salafist principality” in eastern Syria and an al-Qaida-controlled Islamic state in Syria and Iraq. In stark contrast to western claims at the time, the Defense Intelligence Agency document identifies al-Qaida in Iraq (which became Isis) and fellow Salafists as the “major forces driving the insurgency in Syria” – and states that “western countries, the Gulf states and Turkey” were supporting the opposition’s efforts to take control of eastern Syria.
Raising the “possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist principality”, the Pentagon report goes on, “this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime, which is considered the strategic depth of the Shia expansion (Iraq and Iran)”.
American forces bomb one set of rebels while backing another in Syria Which is pretty well exactly what happened two years later. The report isn’t a policy document. It’s heavily redacted and there are ambiguities in the language. But the implications are clear enough.
A year into the Syrian rebellion, the US and its allies weren’t only supporting and arming an opposition they knew to be dominated by extreme sectarian groups; they were prepared to countenance the creation of some sort of “Islamic state” – despite the “grave danger” to Iraq’s unity – as a Sunni buffer to weaken Syria.
That doesn’t mean the US created Isis, of course, though some of its Gulf allies certainly played a role in it – as the US vice-president, Joe Biden, acknowledged last year. Read the full story here.

Allegation of illegal arms air traffic from Ostend in Belgium to Libya Dawn cities Tripoli & Misrata

Allegation of illegal arms air traffic from Ostend in Belgium to Libya Dawn cities Tripoli and Misrata. (HLN in Dutch)[GoogleTranslated].
The planes fly every two weeks from Ostend to Libya, often with illegal weapons on board. Say sources in the African country. UN experts also expressed such suspicions.
Libyan sources who told us about the arms trafficking, are not neutral. They belong to the camp of the internationally recognized government and say that the weapons are intended for the coalition of Islamists fighting against the government.
But the allegation contains details: so would the 747 last week who flew from Ostend to Libya, have transported various types of ammunition and portable anti-aircraft weaponry.
Where weaponry comes from, the Libyans do not know. But they point out, however, that the Ostend airport except of Libyan also regulary receives United Arab Emirates flights.
A country of which is already proven that sends weapons to go to Libya.
The United Nations already expressed suspicions about Ostend.
So did inspectors found late last year "suspicious items" on the transport bills to.
They asked explanations to the Belgian authorities and were told that exactly one plane for Libya had searched for illegal content. "In it no prohibited items were found," it sounded laconic.
The fact is that the Ostend transports are carried out by dubious companies.
As the Libyan client has already been caught on illegal arms trafficking from the Emirates, while one of their subcontractors is on the US their black list because would have flown those weapons to the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad .

How will 'Islamist' Turkey explain $4,3 billion in unidentified foreign currency?
How will 'Islamist' Turkey explain $4,3 billion in unidentified foreign currency? (FOT).by Zulfikar DOGAN.
A foreign currency influx that has reached $40 billion since the Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power in 2002 tends to reach record levels prior to the elections.
This inflow, which the Central Bank has not explained, is now $4.3 billion in the lead-up to the June 7 elections, prompting questions as to whether the AKP is getting election support from abroad.
In the balance of payments to Turkey, it is believed that unreported funds kept abroad amount to $130 billion. The AKP government in 2008 and 2013 passed legislation declaring amnesty for these unreported funds kept abroad to be brought back to Turkey with very low taxation and no questions asked. Despite the amnesties, unreported money brought back to Turkey and registered remained at very low levels.
This is why the surge of the transfer of funds from unidentified sources just before elections adds credence to claims that this is money to give election support to the AKP.
In 2011, before the general elections, the amount in the net errors-omissions account had reached an annual total of $9.4 billion, the highest until then.
In 2014, when local elections were held March 30 and presidential elections Aug. 10, $6.4 billion from unidentified sources arrived in six months, bringing the total such funds during AKP rule to $36 billion as of 2014. With $4.3 billion more in February 2015, the total is now above $40 billion.
How can a central bank make such a gross calculation error? Is it possible to make such a mistake? Can a central bank say it doesn’t know where the money is coming from?
Two economics experts from the opposition — Faik Oztrak, deputy chairman of the Republican People’s Party and Ahmet Kenan Tanrikulu, deputy chairman of the Nationalist Action Party, have called on the Central Bank to lift the curtain from this entry of unreported funds.
Tanrikulu said these funds always surge in election periods. He added, “This much coincidence is a bit too much.”This unprecedented amount of foreign currency from unknown sources was transferred from abroad in February when the struggle peaked between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Central Bank on lowering interest rates.
The arrival of such high amounts of undeclared dollars at a time when the Turkish currency was rapidly losing value indicates that those who are transferring these funds are making substantial amounts of “unreported profits.” Why be surprised, then, if some people are asking whether the president of the republic instigated the interest rate fight with the Central Bank for the benefit of the unknown proprietors of these unknown funds.
There is another question that needs an answer. In February, when $4.3 billion entered the country, the Central Bank’s foreign currency reserves were reduced by $1.1 billion. This signified that this influx of dollars from unidentified origins did not go to the Central Bank, but to some “unspecified destinations.”
As the foreign currency inputs from unidentified sources peaked, there was sharp decline in exports, except of gold. This brings to mind the unrecorded trade of oil and natural gas where Iran was reimbursed with Turkish gold for several years to bypass the international embargo on that country.
This payment with gold became known in the course of the Dec. 17-25, 2013, bribery and corruption investigations that implicated four former ministers and their sons. While the government was desperately trying to close the file by reassigning the police, judges and prosecutors involved, the Hassan Rouhani regime that took over in Iran reactivated the file and accused Turkey of causing Iran a $14 billion loss.
After the heavily publicized corruption investigations, the gold trade and exports slowed down and disappeared from the news. But suddenly, in January and February of this year, in parallel with a surge in foreign currency from unknown sources, gold exports boomed by 117.9% and reached $3.5 billion in two months.
But these rapid increases in the net errors-omissions account before the June 7 elections have not affected the foreign currency and monetary markets at all. Does this mean that these funds are being pooled somewhere else?
Saudi Arabia, Qatar and capital from the Gulf support Erdogan and AKP rule. What is drawing attention in Turkey is that despite reports that this Arab support is behind the accumulation of funds in net errors-omissions, the Central Bank, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Ali Babacan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Erdogan all remain mum; they don’t react in the slightest, or deny these charges.
Of course, it is not rational to give credence to explanations that this money is coming to Turkey to be invested at a time of political and economic uncertainty when political and tensions risks are high and economic indicators are hitting bottom.
As Citibank is leaving Turkey by selling its shares in Akbank, as the Royal Bank of Scotland is deciding whether to depart, as HSBC lets it be known that it is getting ready to leave and credit rating agencies such as Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s warn of high risks and fragility, one wonders who the brave souls who poured $4.3 billion into this country are. Hmmm......Turkey has always been the 'lifeline' of Iran with 'approval' of the Obama 'admin'.

Libya's Foreign Minister: "5,000 foreign fighers fighting along with Islamic extremists in Libya.".(Xinhua).
Libya's Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Dairi said on Saturday that there are some 5,000 foreign militants fighting along with extremists in Libya now and called for international help to curb the terrorism.
The local newspaper Libya Herald quoted al-Dairi as saying that many foreign "terrorist leaders" presented themselves inside Libya.
The leader of the terror group Emir of the Islamic State in Libya, which was responsible for last week's al-Gubba bombing which killed and injured dozens, is a Yemeni.
The newspaper report said that the foreign minister might underestimate the number of the militants, citing the loose border control in south with Mali, Nigeria and Niger might ease infiltration of terrorists.
Mohammed Al-Dairi also called on the international community to lift embargo and arm Libya's national army, stressing that the terror threat is not only to Libya but also to the region and Europe.
Also, Libya's Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni is in Russia this weekend for anti-terrorism talks.

Coptic Church Recognizes Martyrdom of 21 Coptic Christians killed for their faith.
Coptic Church Recognizes Martyrdom of 21 Coptic Christians killed for their faith. (Radiovaticana).
The Coptic Orthodox Church has announced that the murder of the 21 Egyptian Christians killed by the so-called Islamic State in Libya will be commemorated in its Church calendar.
Pope Tawadros II announced that the names of the martyrs will be inserted into the Coptic Synaxarium, the Oriental Church’s equivalent to the Roman Martyrology. This procedure is also equivalent to canonization in the Latin Church.
According to terrasanta.net, the martyrdom of the 21 Christians will be commemorated on the 8th Amshir of the Coptic calendar, or February 15th of the Gregorian calendar. The commemoration falls on the feast day of the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple.
Militants of the Islamic State released a gruesome video entitled “A Message Signed in Blood to the Nation of the Cross” in which they released a warning saying they were “south of Rome.” They then proceeded to behead the Christian men, some of whom were seen mouthing the words “Lord Jesus Christ” moments before their death.
While the killings have stirred fears of the Islamic State’s close proximity to Europe, they have also strengthened many in their faith. In an interview with Christian channel SAT-7 ARABIC on Wednesday, Beshir Kamel, brother of two of the Coptic martyrs, even thanked the Islamic State for including their declaration of faith in the videos before killing them.
“ISIS gave us more than we asked when they didn’t edit out the part where they declared their faith and called upon Jesus Christ. ISIS helped us strengthen our faith,” he said.
Beshir said that he was proud of his brothers Bishoy and Samuel, saying that their martyrdom was “a badge of honor to Christianity.” Kamel’s interview with SAT 7-ARABIC went viral, receiving over 100,000 views within hours of its posting online. When asked what his reaction would be if he saw an Islamic State militant, Kamel recalled his mother’s response.
"My mother, an uneducated woman in her sixties, said she would ask [him] to enter her house and ask God to open his eyes because he was the reason her son entered the kingdom of heaven,” Beshir said.

Islamic State militants burn to death 45 people alive in Iraq: Report (Zeenews).(BBC).
Baghdad: A day after an Islamic State (IS) video showed gruesome mass beheading of 21 Coptic Christians at a Libya beach, the militants of the banned outfit on Tuesday burned to death 45 people in the western Iraqi town of al-Baghdadi.
Exactly who these people were and why they were killed is not clear, but Col Qasim al-Obeidi said he believed some were members of the security forces.
IS fighters captured much of the town, near Ain al-Asad air base, last week.
Col Obeidi said a compound that houses the families of security personnel and local officials was now under attack.
He pleaded for help from the government and the international community.
The police, however, could not immediately determine the reason behind this barbaric act. Although, as per the report, among the people being burnt, some probably belong to the security forces.Read the full story here.
