"Incoming" - UK signs agreement on “religious freedom” with OIC.(SEC).Concerns have been raised by the National Secular Society that the UK’s stance on free speech could be compromised by an agreement signed at the United Nations between this country and the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Baroness Sayeeda Warsi – the new “Minister for Faith” – and pledges that the UK and the OIC will “work together on issues of peace, stability and religious freedom.” At present, the OIC is agitating at the United Nations for a global blasphemy law that would make criticising or satirising religion a punishable offence. Terry Sanderson, president of the National Secular Society, said: “We are all for co-operation between nations to try to foster peace and understanding, but the concept of ‘religious freedom’ is one that the OIC has distorted to mean restrictions on free expression.

“We hope that by signing this document the UK will not in any way compromise its commitment to human rights – particularly the human right to free speech. The British Government has been steadfast in its opposition to the OIC’s blasphemy proposals up until now. We hope that this document will not change that in any way.”

Baroness Warsi’s other remit – as well as being ‘Minister for Faith’ – is at the Foreign Office and includes being the lead minister responsible for Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Central Asia, the UN, the International Criminal Court and the OIC, which is the largest multi-lateral organisation in the world after the UN. She became the first British minister to speak at the OIC’s conference in June 2011 in Astana, Kazakstan. Previously she had hosted the secretary-general of the OIC in London and visited its secretariat in Jeddah, while she was in Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj. This led to the appointment of Britain’s first special representative to the organisation and its 57 members. Baroness Warsi has visited Pakistan five times during the past two and a half years in government, a country which was so central to the formation of the Islamic Conference. In the landmark agreement there is a particular emphasis on promoting the “key role Muslims have played in shaping modern Britain” and encouraging Muslim communities to play a key role at all levels in public life. Lady Warsi said: “When I addressed the OIC Conference in Kazakhstan in June 2011, I said we face the global challenges together.
This agreement formalises that, establishing our many, many areas of co-operation, from security to conflict prevention; from religious freedom to human rights. One of the central aims of my new role will be to strengthen this relationship further and I am looking forward to ensuring we continue to work closely to achieve our mutual goals.” She also praised the Framework Co-operation Agreement, signed with the OIC’s secretary-general, for its focus on promoting inter-religious understanding and interfaith dialogue, especially as these are two vital areas in the senior minister’s new governmental role. Terry Sanderson commented: “There is certainly a need for some kind of inter-religious understanding among OIC member states, a number of which suppress Christianity and other religions in a brutal and merciless fashion. “The blasphemy law which is being proposed by the OIC on behalf of its members would be an entirely dangerous and regressive step if it were to be approved at the UN. It is quite clear that it would be used to persecute and oppress non-Muslim minorities in Muslim-majority countries, as the domestic blasphemy law in Pakistan does at present. Mr Sanderson continued: “In Egypt the blasphemy laws are also used to get rid of political opponents and are sometimes used as a means of revenge by neighbours or colleagues who are in dispute. We do not need this kind of primitive legislation in our democracies and we need reassurance from our Government that their resolve remains unaffected by the signing of this agreement with the OIC.”Read the full story here.

Hillary Clinton wastes no time... Celebrates Muslim Holiday two days after 9/11 Attacks with man who supported Scotland's release of Lockerbie Bomber.(Barracknow).Two days after an act of war was committed against the United States in both Egypt and Libya, on sovereign American territory, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in the Ben Franklin Room in Washington, D.C., celebrating the end of Ramadan (Eid Mubarak). With her was Ali Sulaiman Aujali, Libya's Ambassador to the United States, who resigned from that position under Gadhafi in early 2011 but became Libya's Ambassador to the U.S. again in August of that year.

Here is how Clinton began her speech, via the State Department website:

Good evening, and although I am many weeks overdue in saying it: Eid Mubarak. No matter how belated we are honoring Eid and the end of Ramadan, this is a cherished tradition here at the State Department. And I would like to thank all of you for being here, including the many members of the Diplomatic Corps.

Tonight, our gathering is more somber than any of us would like. This comes during sad and difficult days for the State Department family. We lost four Americans. They were good and brave men. They were committed to the cause of building a brighter future for the people of Libya. And we condemn the violence in the strongest terms, the violence against our posts in Benghazi, in Egypt, and now in Yemen.

The Libyan ambassador is with us tonight, and I want to take a moment to thank him for the support that his government and the Libyan people have shown to the United States in this tragedy, particularly the outpouring of feelings of grief and loss because of the killing of our ambassador.

Ambassador Aujali, would you mind saying a few words?

Before we get to the words of Aujali, perhaps we should take a look at his previous positions as well as his willingness to associate with Muslim Brotherhood-connected groups. AllGov reported in February of 2011 that Aujali was a supporter of the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing:

In September 2009, he defended the transfer of convicted Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi from Scotland to Libya by explaining that most Libyans thought Megrahi was falsely convicted.

Question: What did al-Megrahi and the perpetrators of the 9/11/12 attacks have in common?

Answer: The blood of dead Americans on their hands.
In July of 2011, one month before he became ambassador again, Aujali spoke at the annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention. Not only that but he was introduced by none other than Council on American Islamic Relations Chicago (CAIR-Chicago) Executive Director Ahmed Rehab.(Who left for Egypt to help the 'Arab Spring).
How many times must it be said that both the ISNA and CAIR were unindicted co-conspirators in the largest terrorism financing trial in the United States? The ISNA was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood group (by a Muslim Brotherhood document) that seeks the destruction of the United States from within.

One day after the recent 9/11 attacks, Aujali appeared alongside ISNA President Mohamed Magid and Haris Tarin, the director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). Two other individuals present are case studies in how Muslim Brotherhood groups in the U.S. provide politically correct cover for themselves by forming 'interfaith' coalitions, which are made up of useful dupes or complicit deceivers. In this instance, those two men are Rabbi David Saperstein and Rev. Welton Gaddy.

Incidentally, Tarin, Magid, and Saperstein each have something in common when it comes to Huma Abedin, Clinton's closest advisor. They all have either defended her or, in Magid's case, sat with her at the White House iftar dinner last month, at which Barack Obama spoke in support of Abedin.
Of course, Aujali, at both the event on September 12th with Magid, Tarin, et. al. and at the Eid dinner on the 13th, expressed sympathy for the victims of the 9/11/12 attacks.

Indications are that the attacks on U.S. Embassies in Cairo, at least, had the backing of the Salafist Nour Party. It's important to understand that Salafism is essentially the Muslim Brotherhood without the mask. An example might be the contrast between the most recognized cleric in Great Britain - Salafist Anjem Choudary - and Ground Zero mosque Imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf. Both men seem to seek similar ends but through different means.

When Salafists - who seem to have no trouble waving al-Qaeda flags - commit acts of violence and murder, as was committed in the 9/11 attacks of both 2001 and 2012, Brotherhood entities and individuals necessarily must distance themselves from such things, especially in the United States.

Rosen — who oversees the American Jewish Congress — is an influential international political force.
He’s been a guest at the White House, flies the Clintons in his private plane, and has poured money into both Bill and Hillary Clinton’s election campaigns over the years, according to campaign-finance records. Some Weiner-watchers are stunned that the pol, who gave up his $174,000 salary when he resigned, and Huma, who makes around $155,000 annually, can afford the posh pad at 254 Park Ave. South at East 20th Street. “It’s a ridiculously expensive place,” said a top Democratic fund-raising source with deep ties to the Clintons. “Everyone assumes they live there for free, thanks to a donor, a friend of Bill and Hillary, or even just someone with an empty place who is connected,” the source said.
But Hillary Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines insisted that Weiner and Abedin pay “market rate’’ for the pad. “They are a two-income family and are more than capable of paying their market-rate rent,” he said, declining to disclose exactly what the couple pays. Weiner hasn’t landed steady work since leaving office, according to sources. But some friends of the onetime rising star said he has consulting work and will have no problem exceeding his congressional salary. Federal officials such as Abedin face restrictions on receiving gifts and must disclose their financial dealings to ensure that their decision-making isn’t compromised by private interests.
As one of Hillary’s key confidantes, Abedin is in a position where she could exert considerable influence on America’s top diplomat. What we didn’t know is that Huma was seated next to the President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Mohamed Magid. The two seemed to be engaged in some friendly conversation and quite comfortable with one another. This is the same ISNA that was not only listed as a Muslim Brotherhood front group that seeks the overthrow of the U.S. Government from within, but also an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial. A 1991 document, penned by a Muslim Brotherhood leader identified the ISNA as a member group.
Here is the exact quote from that document that is perhaps the most alarming:

The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.

Obama Admin still following Muslim Brotherhood Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi plan to release Taliban prisoners from Gitmo.(Reuters).The Obama administration, in a move aimed at reviving Afghan peace talks, has sweetened a proposed deal under which it would transfer Taliban detainees from Guantanamo Bay prison in exchange for a U.S. soldier held by Taliban allies in Pakistan. The revised proposal, a concession from an earlier U.S. offer, would alter the sequence of the move of five senior Taliban figures held for years at the U.S. military prison to the Gulf state of Qatar, sources familiar with the issue said. U.S. officials have hoped the prisoner exchange, proposed as a good-faith move in initial discussions between U.S. negotiators and Taliban officials, would open the door to peace talks between militants and the government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai. The revised proposal would send all five Taliban prisoners to Qatar first, said sources who spoke on condition of anonymity. Only then would the Taliban be required to release Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, the only U.S. prisoner of war. Previously, U.S. officials had proposed dividing the Taliban prisoners into two groups, and requiring Bergdahl's release as a good-faith gesture to come before the second group of prisoners would be moved out of Guantanamo. The White House and the Bergdahl family declined to comment on the revised proposal for a deal. The altered transfer plans were discussed with Qatari officials during a visit in mid-June by Marc Grossman, U.S. President Barack Obama's special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, the sources said.
It was unclear if the altered proposal had been put forward before those discussions. Democrats accused the committee's majority Republicans of fear-mongering when they released that report. Of the five senior Taliban figures, many officials and lawmakers are particularly nervous about transferring Mullah Mohammed Fazl, a "high-risk detainee" who was in the first group sent to Guantanamo in early 2002, under what could be only loose security and travel restrictions. A former Taliban deputy minister of defense, Fazl is alleged to be responsible for the massacre of thousands of minority Shi'ites. Rashad Hussain, the president's envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), attended the meeting which focused on ""challenges faced by religious minorities in Muslim-majority communities," GMBDR reported, citing an Islamic Society of North America article. The gathering was hosted by Abdallah bin Bayyah, vice chair of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, and included ISNA President Mohamed Magid and Community Outreach Director Mohamed Elsanousi.
Bin Bayyah is "a well known global Muslim Brotherhood figure" the GMBDR report said, serving on the European Council for Fatwa and Research, which the NEFA Foundation said was led by Qaradawi. Qaradawi is an influential Brotherhood spiritual leader. He is so revered that the Brotherhood brought him back to Cairo to deliver the first Friday sermon after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's ouster last year.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has tracked a number of Qaradawi's statements sanctioning violence over the years. The self-proclaimed "Mufti of martyrdom operations," endorsed attacks on American forces in Iraq and has repeatedly expressed his dream of killing Jews.
Annual meetings of the European Council for Fatwa and Research have included anti-Semitic speeches, GMBDR said. Internationally, the Gulf States responded to these events by positioning themselves at the forefront of what has been referred to as the “counterrevolution.” Pursuing their own interests, namely re-establishing regional stability and gaining regional influence, the Gulf States both supported the popular protest movements and, at the same time, helped existing regimes crack down on their adversaries.
As the Arab Spring has continued, however, measures taken by the Gulf’s rulers to counter potential opposition to their own rule have remained in the shadows. While the oil-rich monarchies have been able to stave off opposition by generously distributing oil wealth to their citizenry, these countries remain receptive to the various ideological currents spreading in the Middle East. With the Arab Spring empowering Islamist groups in particular, the Gulf monarchies are now worried about the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood and other opposition groups in their territories.
These concerns were reflected in the UAE’s recent wave of deportations and arrests of dissidents. Earlier this year, the UAE Emirate Dubai revoked the residence permits of Syrians, who staged a protest against Bashar Al-Assad in front of the Syrian consulate. After prominent Islamic cleric and Muslim Brotherhood affiliate Youssef Al-Qaradawi openly criticized the Emirate for deporting Syrian families, Dubai police chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim threatened the popular cleric with arrest.
While criticizing the Assad regime for violently cracking down on demonstrators in Syria, Dubai has prohibited resident Syrians from staging protests. With Sunni Islamists making up a large segment of the Syrian opposition, the Emirate may fear that the political activities of Syrians in Dubai could embolden local oppositional forces.
In the last months, the UAE has further cracked down on potential opposition groups, arresting, deporting, or revoking the citizenship of dozens of Islamists.Hmmmm..........Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi 'relation' to Huma Abedin.....Huma Abedin has a brother named Hassan Abedin who works at Oxford University. What is significant is that Oxford University, which has long been infiltrated by Islamists who founded the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS), has Huma's brother listed as a fellow and partners with a number of Muslim Brotherhood memberson the Board, including al-Qaeda associate, Omar Naseef and the notorious Muslim Brotherhood leader Sheikh Youssef Qaradawi; both have been listed as OCIS Trustees..Read the full story here.

Bachmann & Co. haven't alleged wrongdoing on Abedin's part. Rather, their question turns on the process that permitted a person with close family ties to an array of world Islamic movements and figures hostile to the United States to gain the security clearance Abedin requires to serve alongside the secretary of state.

I looked over the lengthy Form 86 that federal employees fill out to apply for national security positions. One portion is devoted to an applicant's relatives, with a question about relatives' affiliations with any "foreign movement." If Abedin answered fully -- and there are stiff penalties for failing to do so -- she would have noted, for starters, that her mother, Saleha Abedin, belongs to the Muslim Sisterhood (the Brotherhood's auxiliary, primarily for relatives of prominent Brothers) and serves on the board of the International Islamic Council for Dawah and Relief, a group banned in Israel for supporting Hamas. Saleha Abedin has been a representative of the Muslim World League, whose affiliates have been charged by the U.S. government with funding terrorism. Any ensuing investigation would turn up Saleha's work with the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs, where she edits the journal that Huma, too, worked on for a dozen years. That same institute was founded by Huma's father in Saudi Arabia with the assistance and long-term involvement of Abdullah Omar Naseef. Naseef was secretary-general of the Muslim World League and also founded the Rabita Trust, a U.S.-designated international terrorist organization with ties to al-Qaida.

There's more, but just imagine the light dawning on the background-checker: So, Ms. Abedin, let me get this straight: Your folks, and you, too, worked with a guy who founded a terrorist organization linked to al-Qaida, your mom's on the board of a group banned in Israel for supporting Hamas, and you want top-secret clearance to work for the secretary of state.

Then what happened?

Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian film director Khaled Youssef, which aired on Al-Kahera Wal-Nas TV on July 30, 2012.

Interviewer: Do you think that a day will come when you will miss the days of Mubarak?

Khaled Youssef: That won't happen, but if we let [the Muslim Brotherhood] do whatever they want, we will eventually miss the days of Hitler. I have faith, however, in the will of the Egyptian people, who will not let them do whatever they want to us.

Interviewer: Are you comparing the Muslim Brotherhood to the Nazis?

Khaled Youssef: I didn't say the Nazis. I said Hitler. I said that we will miss the days of... If they ever feel that the people has no will of its own, they will do things to us that are worse than what Hitler did. I am responsible for what I am saying.

Interviewer: The revolution against the Mubarak regime had the smallest number of casualties of all the Arab revolutions. In your opinion, if there is a revolution against the Muslim Brotherhood, will it lead to a similar outcome, or will it be like in Libya or Syria?

The head of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress (CAP) is defending controversial State Department official Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who is suspected of playing a role in Obama Administration “engagement” with the anti-American Muslim Brotherhood.
Neera Tanden, president and CEO of CAP and Counselor for CAP’s Action Fund, has sent out an email defending Abedin and asking that Rep. Michele Bachmann be thrown off the House Intelligence Committee for asking questions about the vetting process that Abedin was supposed to go through.
“Michele Bachmann has gone from outrageous to dangerous,” Tanden said in her email to CAP supporters.
Tanden is a former Obama Administration official whose previous claim to fame was working for the Obama White House to pass Obamacare. Her work at CAP apparently includes supporting the Obama Administration’s policy to “engage” with the Muslim Brotherhood. It is believed Abedin is right in the middle of that, by virtue of her position as State Department deputy chief of staff.
CAP is the organization that hired Van Jones before he took his job as White House “Green Jobs Czar” and then re-hired him after his communist background came to light and he lost his job in the administration.
Tanden said in her email to CAP supporters that the problem was not Abedin’s access to classified information but Bachmann’s. She urged House Speaker John Boehner to remove Bachmann from the Intelligence Committee. “Rep. Bachmann’s antics have proven that she can’t be trusted to act in our best interests,” said Tanden.
Boehner, as well as Senator John McCain, had criticized Bachmann for merely asking questions about Abedin’s fitness for her position. But they didn’t indicate familiarity with or knowledge of Abedin’s security clearance form, known as Standard Form 86, or the “Questionnaire for National Security Positions.”
Despite the claims of “witch hunt” and “McCarthyism” that are echoed in the liberal media, especially by Anderson Cooper of CNN, Bachmann and other members of Congress simply want to know whether Abedin’s Muslim Brotherhood connections were disclosed and/or examined when she gained access to national security information.
Their letter to the Inspector General of the State Department points out that Abedin “has three family members—her late father, her mother and her brother—connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations,” and that “Her position affords her routine access to the Secretary and to policy-making.”
The matter can be resolved, if the media are truly interested in getting to the bottom of the controversy, by demanding access to Abedin’s Standard Form 86, which she was supposed to fill out before getting her State Department job. House Speaker Boehner could also demand a copy.
Did she disclose her family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as to Saudi Arabia, where she once lived and was raised?
“It is required that job candidates complete the questionnaire and other required forms thoroughly, honestly, and with candor,” the State Department says.
For its part, the White House says it is committed to transparency and open government. Releasing Abedin’s form is a test case and a way to start resolving the controversy.
The questionnaire for national security positions is a 127-page document which asks for such information as relatives and associates, foreign activities, foreign countries visited, the use of illegal drugs, and involvement in groups dedicated to terrorism or the overthrow of the U.S. government.
The State Department says, “Eligibility for access to classified information, commonly known as a security clearance, is granted only to those for whom an appropriate personnel security background investigation has been completed. It must be determined that the individual’s personal and professional history indicates loyalty to the United States, strength of character, trustworthiness, honesty, reliability, discretion, and sound judgment, as well as freedom from conflicting allegiances and potential for coercion, and a willingness and ability to abide by regulations governing the use, handling, and protection of classified information.”Read the full story here.
