Vatican offended: Obama’s 'guest list' to Pope visit insults millions of Christians. (BPReview).
A senior Vatican official is offended by President Obama’s choice of guests to meet with Pope Francis during his trip to the U.S., according to The Wall Street Journal, and he’s not alone.
An openly gay Episcopal bishop, a Democratic activist nun, and a cross-dressing transgender activist, are among the invitees to the White House reception greeting the pope on Wednesday.
Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee called Obama “classless” for putting together the controversial invite list.
The Vatican is concerned that controversial guests will take pictures alongside Pope Francis and use those pictures to assume an endorsement of the gay lifestyle. The White House failed to correct – or comment – on the possibility, according to the Journal. Hmmmm........Perhaps the Pope could not find his 'Baptismal certificate'? Read the full story here. Video - Taliban Video Shows Bergdahl’s Transfer
According to the Wall Street Journal:
An Afghan insurgent, his face hidden by a scarf, tells Sgt. Bergdahl menacingly in Pashto moments before the release: “Don’t come back to Afghanistan. Next time we catch you, you won’t leave here alive.” Armed insurgents surrounding the pickup truck laugh as Sgt. Bergdahl bows his head, looking confused and scared.
“Long live the holy warriors of Afghanistan! Long live the great holy warrior and the leader of the believers, Mullah Mohammad Omar!” the insurgents chant, referring to the Taliban leader who has eluded U.S. capture since 2001.

Carney in 2013: WH Will Consult with Congress on Gitmo Transfer.
Carney in 2013: WH Will Consult with Congress on Gitmo Transfer.HT: WhitehouseDossier.
Just under a year ago, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney promised that any decision with respect to the release of Guantanamo Bay detainees in exchange for kidnapped Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl would be made in consultation with Congress.
CARNEY: With regard to the transfer of Taliban detainees from Guantanamo Bay, we have made — the United States has not made the decision to do that, though we do expect the Taliban to raise this issue in our discussion, if and when those discussions happen.
As we have long said, however, we would not make any decisions about transfer of any detainees without consulting with Congress and without doing so in accordance with U.S. law.
Q So you haven’t ruled it out?
CARNEY: I’m simply saying that — first of all, you have to separate the two issues. We are focused on the return — the safe and immediate return of Sergeant Bergdahl, and we continue to use the tools at our disposal to help bring that about.Instead, the White House this week sent five dangerous former Taliban packing to Qatar without a word to lawmakers.
We also expect the Taliban to raise the issue of their detainees in discussions that we have with them if those discussions take place. And at this time we’ve made no decisions about the transfer of detainees.
And in accordance with law, we would be consulting with Congress should we make any decisions about that. So we remain committed to the closure of Guantanamo Bay, as you know. But separate from that on these specific issues about individual detainees, that would be a process that is done in accordance with law.
Carney today said Congress should have figured it out and, anyway, the White House had to move fast:
This should not have come as a surprise to members of Congress that this was possible because we had been working to secure Sgt. Bergdahl’s release for a long time . . .
It was the judgement of the team and the president that there was enough urgency here to assure that Sgt. Bergdahl was recovered . . .
Today we are being asked to believe the White House when it says the threat posed to the United States by the former detainees has been “sufficiently mitigated” by the terms of the release.

Father Of Soldier Who Obama Released, Declares Muslim Victory Call, And Obama Smiles As Soon As He Hears The Victory Cry.HT: WalidShoebat.Infidel Bloggers.
JUST WAIT TILL YOU READ ALL THE EVIDENCE WE ACCUMULATED ON THIS SUPPOSED RESCUE OPERATION.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
While the Obama administration is proudly touting how it was able to free an American soldier who was captured by the Taliban, what no one picked is the fact that Obama SMILED as soon as he heard the most famous war cry of Islam, “bismillah al-rahman al-rahim,” Arabic for “in the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful.”
Watch Obama smile as soon as Bergdahl gives the most famous Muslim expression, the “Bismillah” or the “Basmallah”:
The “basmallah” is the Islamic expression for victory and only indicates that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s father is a Muslim.Think that the man is acting as “Muslim” for a stealth operation to rescue his son who is already in good hands in Germany? And what is with the long beard and trimmed mustache?
No this is not a bum, biker, or a Santa Clause fan. When one gives the basmallah, trims his mustache and elongates his beard, its the first sign of a convert to Islam, just as that an ex-Muslim putting on a cross and saying, “In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” is evidence enough of conversion to Christianity. But there is much more we obtained on this stealth jihadist.
But first, Obama’s smile says much. Obama has never declared the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and has no real testimony of converting to Christianity, as his pastor Jeremiah Wright stated:
I made it easy for him to come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ is and not feel that he was turning his back on his Islamic friends and his Islamic traditions and his understanding of Islam. But is it the speech with the Basmallah, the beard and the trimmed mustache, the testimonies from his colleagues on his desertion, that confirm our suspicion that these men are Jihadi converts?
Hardly.
What no one in the media captured was Robert Bowe Bergdahl’s favorites on his Youtube account.
It reveals a dark mind, a collector of a litany of ‘terrorist favorites’, videos from training on how to become Muslim Jihadist to urging American troops to desert and even favorite speeches by confirmed terrorists like Shaykh Anwar al-Awlaki, condemning America as a terrorist state. By THOMAS JOSCELYN.
Mullah Omar, the reclusive head of the Taliban,
has purportedly released a statement hailing the transfer of the top five
Taliban commanders from Guantanamo to Qatar. Omar says their freedom is a “great
victory.”
The five Taliban leaders were exchanged for Sgt.
Bowe Bergdahl, who has been held by the Taliban since 2009.
A copy of the statement attributed to Omar has been posted on the Taliban’s
Urdu-language web site.
Omar thanks the government of Qatar, as well as
its emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, for his help in brokering the deal and for
hosting the Taliban leaders. In earlier statements, both President Barack Obama
and Secretary of State John Kerry similarly thanked Qatar for its
assistance.
Omar offers his “heartfelt congratulations to the
entire Afghan Muslim nation,” including “all the mujahideen and to the families
and relatives of the prisoners for this great victory.”
The Taliban had demanded the release of the five
commanders from Guantanamo for years. In early 2012, the Taliban announced that
it had established a “political office” in Doha for the expressed
purpose of securing their freedom.Hmmmm......Now Guess where Muslim brotherhood 'Godfather' Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi lives? If you said Qatar you are right.

Rouhani and the Iranian art of 'Khod’eh' a.k.a. Deception.
Rouhani and the Iranian art of 'Khod’eh' a.k.a. Deception.HT: JewishPress.
To understand the election of Rouhani as president of Iran, several points must be clarified:
The first is the Shi’ite practice of taqiyya. Ever since the birth of Shi’a in the middle of the seventh century CE, its adherents have been so persecuted by the Sunni majority that their lives were in constant danger and when they were caught, in many cases, they were brutally murdered. Over the years, in order to survive, Shi’ites developed the practice of taqiyya or “the need to survive”, which enabled them to endure in a hostile environment despite their faith and their political leanings. A basic component of taqiyya is khod’eh, which means deception, or pretense. During the 1350 years of the conflict with the Sunnis, the Shi’ites have developed the practice of taqiyya and khod’eh into an art.
They have become so adept at it, that polygraph tests cannot detect the physiological phenomena that usually occur when a person lies, (involving changes in perspiration, production of saliva, heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) when the subject being investigated is a Shi’ite. And Western police departments are aware of this. The second point is that the office of president in Iran is not like that in the United States, France or Brazil. In these states the president is the head of an executive pyramid, and his policy is the dominant factor in conducting the state’s business, because there is usually no authority above the president.
In Iran, however, the presidency is the fourth level from the top, and there are three levels of religious authority above him: there is the supreme leader (today Ayatollah Khamene’i), under him is the Assembly of Experts and under that is the Council to Ensure the Interests of the Regime. All three of these agencies are staffed by religious authorities, and all of them are above the president, above the government and above the parliament. As a result, any Iranian “democratic” process has a very low level of authority, and the influence of the elected bodies on internal and foreign policy is quite limited.
Responsibilities of “the president” are also limited, and from our perspective, the salient point is that they do not include the nuclear project and the activity of the Revolutionary Guard.
These two matters are managed directly by the supreme leader. The elected bodies cannot dislodge the supreme leader from his position. All of the candidates for president must pass a meticulous “kashrut” test, and only a candidate who is thought to be an integral part of the ayatollahs’ regime can be a candidate in elections. Therefore, because of the limitations imposed by the structure of authorities as well as the candidate’s personality, there is no chance that the elected “president” will bring about a fundamental change to the character of the regime or in the way that the state functions.Read the full story here.

Obama ‘Strongly Objects’ to Religious Liberty Amendment.
Obama ‘Strongly Objects’ to Religious Liberty Amendment.(TownHall).
The Obama Administration “strongly objects” to a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would have protected the religious rights of soldiers – including evangelical Christian service members who are facing growing hostility towards their religion. The amendment was authored by Rep. John Fleming, R-La. It would have “required the Armed Forces to accommodate ‘actions and speech’ reflecting the conscience, moral, principles or religious beliefs of the member.”
The Obama Administration said the amendment would have a “significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.”
“With its statement, the White House is now endorsing military reprimands of members who keep a Bible on their desk or express a religious belief,” Fleming told Fox News. “This administration is aggressively hostile towards religious beliefs that it deems to be politically incorrect.”
Fleming introduced the amendment after a series of high-profile incidents involving attacks on religious liberty within the military- including an Air Force officer who was told to remove a Bible from his desk because it might give the impression he was endorsing a religion.
He said there are other reports of Christian service members and chaplains being punished for their faith.
The Air Force censored a video created by a chaplain because it include the word “God.” The Air Force feared the word might offend Muslims and atheists.
A service member received a “severe and possibly career-ending reprimand” for expressing his faith’s religious position about homosexuality in a personal religious blog.
An enlisted service member received a career-ending punishment for sending personal invitations to his promotion party which mentioned that he would be providing Chick-fil-A sandwiches due to his respect for the Defense of Marriage Act.
A senior military official at Fort Campbell sent out a lengthy email officially instructing officers to recognize “the religious right in America” as a “domestic hate group” akin to the KKK and Neo-Nazis because of its opposition to homosexual behavior. A chaplain was relieved of his command over a military chapel because, consistent with DOMA’s definition of marriage, he could not allow same-sex weddings to take place in the chapel.
An enlisted service member was threatened and denied promotion by a senior NCO for expressing – during a personal conversation – his religious belief in support of traditional marriage.
Last month Coast Guard Rear Admiral William Lee told a National Day of Prayer audience that religious liberty was being threatened by Pentagon lawyers and service members are being told to hide their faith in Christ.
“Leaders like myself are feeling the constraints of rules and regulations and guidance issued by lawyers that put us in a tighter and tighter box regarding our constitutional right to express our religious faith,” he said.
Fleming said the purpose of his amendment is to clarify ambiguities in the Pentagon’s policies.
“The bottom line is the military is bending over backwards to remove – even in the case of chaplains – expressions of faith and conscience,” Fleming said.
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, called the Obama Administration's edict a "chilling suppression of religious freedom."
"The Obama administration has joined forces with those who are attacking the religious freedoms of those who serve in our Armed Services," Perkins said. "The Administration's opposition to Rep. Fleming’s religious freedom amendment reveals that this administration has gone beyond accommodating the anti-Christian activists who want to remove any vestige of Christianity from the military, to aiding them by blocking this bipartisan measure."
Fleming said his amendment, which has bipartisan support, would have protected the free speech rights of men and women in uniform.
But the White House said the change would limit the discretion of commanders to address “potentially problematic speech.”
“That is an outrageous position, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from an administration that is aggressively hostile toward religious beliefs that it deems politically incorrect,” Fleming said.
He said the president has at times shown hostility in general for expression of religious beliefs.
“Now that’s beginning to be reflected in the Pentagon itself,” he warned. “We need to protect the free speech of the brave warriors who fight to safeguard our liberties and I hope Congress will reject this blatant White House Attack on religious freedom.”Hmmmm.......I'm Still waiting to see the first glimps of Pres Obama's baptism certificate.Read the full story here.

Muslim Brotherhood took ‘billions’ from Obama: Egypt lawyers.(AA).Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has been accused of taking 10 billion Egyptian pounds (U.S. $1.5 billion) from the American government, according to claims by Egyptian lawyers.
An immediate investigation into the accusation was ordered by Prosecutor General Talaat Abdallah on Thursday.
The lawyers, Mohamed Ali Abd al-Wahab and Yasser Mohamed Sayab, filed the complaint against the Muslim Brotherhood for the allegedly illegal money transaction, Egypt’s private daily Al-Masry Al-Youm reported on Jan. 3.
The complaint noted that Mitt Romney, the Republican candidate for the recent U.S. presidential election, had said that $1.5 billion was given to support Egypt's Brotherhood by the Obama administration.
In addition, the lawyers accused the Muslim Brotherhood of having armed mercenaries or a “third party,” who have instigated violence during and after the revolutionary uprising in the country.
The armed mercenaries are trained in the desert, which lies between the city of Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh in Egypt, the lawyers alleged.Hmmm......Read the full story here.

2,000th U.S. troop death...and counting - Afghan soldier kills two Americans in new 'insider attack'.
2,000th U.S. troop death...and counting - Afghan soldier kills two Americans in new 'insider attack' .(DM).An Afghan soldier turned his gun on American troops at a checkpoint in the country's east, in a shooting that marked both the continuance of a disturbing trend of insider attacks and the 2,000th U.S. troop death in the long-running war, officials said today. The string of insider attacks is one of the greatest threats to NATO's mission in the country, endangering a partnership key to training up Afghan security forces and withdrawing international troops. Saturday's shooting took place at an Afghan army checkpoint just outside a joint U.S.-Afghan base in Wardak province, said Shahidullah Shahid, a provincial government spokesman. 'Initial reports indicate that a misunderstanding happened between Afghan army soldiers and American soldiers,' Shahid said. At least two fellow members of Afghanistan's army were also among the dead. He said investigators had been sent to the site to try to figure out what happened. An Afghan official speaking on condition of anonymity said three Afghan soldiers were killed in the clash. It was not clear if the assailant was among the dead. The attack happened about 5pm in Sayd Abad district, Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman Gen Zahir Azimi said in an emailed statement. He did not provide further details, saying he would wait for a report from investigators. NATO forces announced the assault early Sunday morning, saying only that it was 'suspected insider attack' and that a NATO service member and civilian contractor were killed. One U.S. official confirmed that the service member killed was American, while another confirmed that the civilian was also American. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the nationality of the dead had not yet been formally announced. Afghan soldiers and policemen - or militants in their uniforms - have gunned down more than 50 foreign troops so far this year, eroding the trust between coalition forces and their Afghan partners An equal number of Afghan policemen and soldiers also died in these attacks, giving them reason as well to be suspicious of possible infiltrators within their ranks.Hmmmm......."Misunderstanding?".....try reading this. The phenomenon of unpredictable killings by the Acehnese came to be known as Atjèh-moord "Acehnese murder."Read the full story here.

Codifying Blasphemy?
Codifying Blasphemy?InfidelBloggers.By Pastorius. The UK appears to be considering jumping onto the slippery slope. Is the United States, despite our history of separation of church and state, far behind? Codifying religious blasphemy as part of the civil code is dangerous in the extreme!
And just what is the Islamic definition of blasphemy? According to this source, the definition is nebulous and open to exploitation:
The...Quran, the primary authority in Islamic jurisprudence, offers no explicit definition of blasphemy. The hadiths, a collection of sayings attributed to Mohammed, mention briefly the “abuse of the Prophet” as a capital punishment offence...As I read the above citation, I think of Mona Eltahawy and her zeal as she defaced private property in the NYC subway this week Did she not appear absolutely convinced that she had the right to do what she did?
Proponents of strict implementation of Sharia religious law usually argue that blasphemy should be punishable by death. Muslim clerics that condemn cases of blasphemy sometimes exhort on fellow Muslims to punish the perpetrators, while in some countries, conservative clerics with influence over the state judiciary pursue suspected blasphemers in state courts.
Yet in the Muslim world only Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates currently permit blasphemy to be punishable by death. Muslim clerics that condemn cases of blasphemy sometimes exhort on fellow Muslims to punish the perpetrators, while in some countries, conservative clerics with influence over the state judiciary pursue suspected blasphemers in state courts.
[I]t will be up to individual Muslim clerics – with varying degrees of juridical knowledge and reputation – to declare an individual a blasphemer. A wide variety of alleged offences have been branded as blasphemous in different environments, ranging from cultural production deemed offensive to Islam to bizarre allegations of blasphemy such as the Sudanese case of a teddy bear named Mohammed.
I think of Salman Rushdie.
I think of the recent filmifada, too, of course.
And the Danish Cartoons and the ensuing outrage.
I also think of these signs that Muslims carried in the streets of London:
Offense is in the eye of the beholder.
The slippery slope.

Obama's closest Islamic adviser, Dalia Mogahed met yesterday with 'Muslim Brotherhood' President Morsi.
Obama's closest Islamic adviser, Dalia Mogahed met yesterday with 'Muslim Brotherhood' President Morsi.(GlocalNet).By Bob Roberts. The Egyptian President cancelled meetings with 4 other heads of state just to be able to talk about faith, government, and global affairs with faith leaders. John Esposito, who invited me, chaired the group of about 17. President Morsi started off with a drafted statement to the group. There was nothing in it that anyone would disagree with - it was generic, measured, and politically correct for the context. He said what was being reported and what was reality was often not the same for the people who are living within it. He talked about being the President for all Egyptians for freedom, open society, tolerance and cooperation. Then came the questions and comments. Dalia Mogahed, American Egyptian, a Gallup researcher asked questions on what pluralism means for Egyptians and what has changed with him since being a candidate and activist and Doctor to now being the President. Questions were asked about youth unemployment, women, the global perception of Islam, etc., what you would expect. I wasn’t in a hurry to speak, being the only evangelical in the room, but when it was time, I did. Here is what I said.
President Morsi, I’m Bob Roberts, an evangelical pastor from Texas. I want you to know that I pray for you, and have prayed for you when I see you on the news, that God will give you wisdom and insight into leading Egypt in this time. Many people in America and in my tribe in particular have fears and concerns about Muslims and the Muslim Brotherhood. Most know neither. You may think, as evangelicals, we all think alike, but we don’t. I come from very conservative roots - to us a Salifist would be liberal!
He died laughing and started pointing to someone saying something in Arabic. Mr. President, you should know some of us supported the Mosque being built in New York, not because we are Muslims, we are Christians and I want the whole world to know Jesus, but because of religious freedom. What we do here affects what we do there. You should know that many of us denounced the movie that recently has caused the uproar. You should know that as an evangelical I support Israel and always will, but I also support the two state solution, just as the Rabbi who just spoke of the two state solution, and I equally support the Palestinian people. He interrupted me, “Are you serious?” Yes sir, I am. “I have never heard this about evangelicals - this is new to me.”
I told him he could not change the perception of Islam (this is something he brought up, that he wanted to change the perception of Islam in the West) in America and I cannot change the perception of evangelicals in Islam - but we can speak to our own tribes and be bridges between each other to work together. As we come to know one another, not on the news, but as friends, it changes everything. Sayid Syeed, one of the founders of ISNA was there - I told the President getting to know men like him changes people. We must challenge our own tribes.Someone asked a question and President Morsi relied, “Egypt is not an Islamic state it is a civil state. He said 4 words characterized all they were trying to do: democratic, civil, constitutional, rule of law. Keep in mind the Egyptian press and media were in the meeting which was incredible, him being a Muslim Brotherhood, but saying this.Hmmmm.......The force of 'Al-taqiyya' is great with Obama.Read the full story here.
