'Summer Olympics' Al Qaeda Terrorist Released from Gitmo by Obama 'admin' Sneaked into Brazil, Whereabouts Unknown.

Al Qaeda Terrorist Released from Gitmo by Obama 'admin' Sneaked into Brazil, Whereabouts Unknown. HT: JudicialWatch.

With the summer Olympics just a few weeks away in Brazil, a veteran Al Qaeda operative released from Guantanamo to Uruguay has gone missing and authorities in Latin America believe he sneaked into Brazil after being denied legal entry. The Islamic terrorist’s name is Jihad Ahmad Diyab an in late 2014 President Obama sent him to Uruguay along with five fellow Gitmo inmates as part of a misguided plan to shut down the U.S. military prison at the Naval base in southeast Cuba.
Now officials from Uruguay, Brazil and the United States are scrambling to find Diyab, according to news reports in Uruguay that quote high-level government officials.
Diyab’s Department of Defense (DOD) file says he’s a high-risk terrorist that poses a threat to the U.S., its interests and allies. “Detainee is a member of the Syrian Group comprised of dismantled terrorist cells that escaped Syrian authorities and fled to Afghanistan (AF) in2000,” the DOD file states. “Detainee was sentenced to death in absentia, probably for his terrorist activities in Syria.

Detainee is assessed to be a Global Jihad Support Network (GJSN) document forger who provided services to the network operated by Zayn al-Abidin Muhammad Husayn aka (Abu Zubaydah), ISN US9GZ-010016DP (GZ-10016), supporting European, North African, and Levant extremists facilitating their international travels. Detainee is an associate of several other significant al-Qaida members to include Ali Muhammad Abdul Aziz al-Fakhri, 11 September 2001 recruiter Muhammad Zammar, and other facilitators and identified document forgers.”

Nevertheless, Obama sent Diyab off to Uruguay in December 2014 and the country’s president at the time granted him and his five cohorts “refugee” status, which means they get to come and go as they please. Read the full story here.

Mullah Mansour or Muhammad Wali: Fake name but genuine 'Pakistani' credentials on CNIC.

Mullah Mansour or Muhammad Wali: Fake name but genuine 'Pakistani' credentials on CNIC. (ET).

While Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansoor may have used a fake name to obtain a Pakistani identity card, his credentials with the authorities are all genuine, verifiable on specific helpline numbers.

Mansoor was reportedly killed in Balochistan in a US drone strike on May 21. A Pakistani CNIC and passport found at the site identified the victim as Muhammad Wali, a resident of Karachi.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), which issues computerised identities to Pakistani citizens, also facilitates verifying the basic credentials via short messaging services (SMS).
When forwarded Wali’s identity card number 54400-0563462-9 at 7000 – a service to verify the CNIC holder’s name, the reply is: Muhammad Wali, son of Shah Muhammad.

The voter registration details of any CNIC number can be obtained through a text message to 8300. Wali’s number shows he was a registered voter with the serial number 38, block code 454050104, ward number 31 in Chaman Municipal Corporation union council of Killa Abdullah district.

While getting an identity card is a struggle for many Pakistani citizens, especially those living in districts other than their permanent address, the fact that Mullah Mansoor was able to get a Pakistani CNIC as well as a passport raises quite a few questions.

According to the “current address” mentioned on the CNIC, Wali lived in Flat Number B-016 of Bismillah Terrace, Plot Number FL-03, Karachi. Interestingly, the address does not include the area of this residential building, which is actually located in Gulzar-e-Hijri, Karachi.

A raid at the address in Karachi provided clues to the slain militant’s past as well.

A suspected militant associated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was among three people arrested in a raid by intelligence personnel at Bismillah Terrace near Sohrab Goth, a police source told The Express Tribune. The men were identified as Jabbar alias Charya, Haji Yousuf and Shaiq. Hmmm......Just like Osama Bin Laden 'Home sweet home' is Pakistan'.Read the full story here.

Of the 144 Gitmo prisoners freed by the Obama administration seven are confirmed to have returned to the fight, according to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Of the 532 captives released under the George W. Bush administration, 111 eventually reengaged in extremist causes, the ODNI reveals.

Gitmo detainees returning to terrorism is nothing new and in fact has been widely reported by Judicial Watch for years. Read the full story here.

Pres Hussein Obama releases top al Qaeda explosives expert from Guantanamo.

Pres Hussein Obama releases top al Qaeda explosives expert from Guantanamo. (WT).

The Obama administration has released one of al Qaeda’s most skilled explosives experts, a man personally praised by Osama bin Laden and who created the shoe-bomb design that was used unsuccessfully to bring down an airliner in 2001.

The Pentagon said Thursday that Egyptian Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al Sawah, who may have known of the original Sept. 11 plot, was transferred to the government of Bosnia. Al Sawah fought with the Bosnian army in the early 1990s and eventually made his way to Afghanistan in 2000.

Al Sawah’s Guantanamo file reveals a number of chronic medical problems in 2008, when a secret profile was created by Task Force Guantanamo. Now 58, he was listed as “morbidly obese,” and at the time suffered from diabetes, fatty liver disease and chronic pain from spinal cord compression. Prison doctors urged him to get more exercise.

In his terrorism career, he was close to bin Laden and taught classes in explosives at the al Qaeda leader’s Tarnak Farms training camp.

The review board set up by President Obama to review remaining detainee transfers decided to release him last February.

The Pentagon also announced the transfer of Abd al-Aziz Abduh Abdallah Ali al-Suwaydi, a 41-year-old Yemeni, to Montenegro.

Al-Suwaydi admitted to being an explosives trainer, according to his files posted by the Times…. Hmmmm........Releasing Terrorists since 2010 as planned by Muslim Brotherhood 'God father' Qaradawi'.

Severest type of court-martial ordered for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Severest type of court-martial ordered for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. (NaPo).

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will face general court-martial in connection with his 2009 disappearance from his base in Afghanistan, the service announced on Monday, raising the possibility that the soldier could face life in prison after being held captive for five years.

Bergdahl, 29, is charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. He has been a political lightning rod since he was exchanged in May 2014 in a prisoner swap approved by the White House in which five Taliban officials were released from the military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and kept under supervised watch in Qatar.

The decision was made by Gen. Robert Abrams, the four-star commander of U.S. Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It came after Bergdahl broke his silence last week by participating in the popular podcast “Serial.” The weekly podcast obtained 25 hours of recorded conversations between Bergdahl and film producer Mark Boal with Bergdahl’s approval.

General court-martial is the highest level of trial in the military justice system. If convicted, Bergdahl could face anywhere from life in prison to no confinement. Desertion can carry a death penalty, but Army officials have said that will not occur in Bergdahl’s case. No U.S. service member has been executed for desertion since World War II.

Bergdahl’s attorney, Eugene Fidell, said Monday that Abrams “did not follow the advice of the preliminary hearing officer.” Bergdahl’s defense team “had hoped the case would not go in this direction,” Fidell said. Read the full story here.

Video - Graphic Video Shows Afghan Woman Stoned to Death for Eloping

Video - Graphic Video Shows Afghan Woman Stoned to Death for Eloping. (NDTv)

Kabul: A young Afghan woman who was married against her will has been stoned to death by extremists after she was caught eloping with another man, local officials told AFP on Tuesday.

A graphic video of the stoning shows the woman, named as Rokhsahana, aged between 19 and 21, in a hole in the ground as men almost casually hurl stones at her with sickening thuds.

Rokhsahana was heard repeating the shahada, or Muslim profession of faith, her voice growing increasingly high-pitched in the nearly 30-second clip run in Afghan media. Local authorities confirmed the footage.

The killing took place about a week ago in Ghalmeen, an area some 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the Ghor provincial capital of Firozkoh, governor Seema Joyenda said.

Rokhsahana had been "stoned to death by Taliban, local religious leaders and irresponsible armed warlords," Ms Joyenda told AFP.

Seema Joyenda, one of Afghanistan's only two female governors, said that according to authorities' information Rokhsahana's family had "married her to someone against her will and she was eloping with a man her age".

She condemned the stoning, calling on Kabul to take action to "clean the area".

"This is the first incident in this area but will not be the last. Women in general have problems all over the country, but especially in Ghor... The man with whom she was eloping has not been stoned."

Ghor police chief Mustafa Mohseni told AFP that the incident happened in a Taliban-controlled area, confirming that it was the first such incident "this year". Hmmmm.....Welcome to A.D. 660.

Afghanistan: Harrowing crimes Taliban gangs committed on civilian in Kunduz is Shocking !

Afghanistan: Harrowing crimes Taliban gangs committed on civilian in Kunduz on three-days-stay is SHOCKING! HT: Amnesty.

Mass murder, gang rapes and house-to-house searches by Taliban death squads are just some of the harrowing civilian testimonies emerging from Kunduz as Afghan forces today claimed to have regained control of key areas of the northern city, Amnesty International said.

The organization has spoken to numerous people, the majority of them women, who have fled Kunduz since Monday, when the Taliban launched a sudden assault on the city. Women human rights defenders from Kunduz spoke of a “hit list” being used by the Taliban to track down activists and others, and described how fighters had raped and killed numerous civilians.

The harrowing accounts we’ve received paint a picture of a reign of terror during the Taliban’s brutal capture of Kunduz this week. The multiple credible reports of killings, rapes and other horrors meted out against the city’s residents must prompt the Afghan authorities to do more now to protect civilians, in particular in areas where more fighting appears imminent,” said Horia Mosadiq, Afghanistan Researcher at Amnesty International.

One woman who provides assistance to victims of domestic violence in Kunduz and escaped to safety in a nearby province told Amnesty International that Taliban fighters were using a “hit list” to track down their targets. It allegedly includes the names and photos of activists, journalists and civil servants based in Kunduz.

The woman said the Taliban’s roadblocks on exit routes from the city forced her and numerous other women and men to flee on foot. They trekked for more than seven hours over rough terrain, leaving them exhausted and with bloodied feet.

When the Taliban took control of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and other government and NGO offices in Kunduz on Monday, they gained access to reams of information about NGO staff, government employees and members of the security forces – including addresses, phone numbers and photos.

Since then, Taliban fighters have allegedly been using young boys to help them to conduct house-to-house searches to locate and abduct their targets, including women.

Another woman human rights defender had her home and office burned and looted by Taliban on Tuesday night. Taliban fighters kept calling her to ask about the whereabouts of the women whom she had been helping.

She and several other women managed to receive assistance for themselves and their children to flee to safety. But she told Amnesty International she and her family escaped with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and were left terrified by the ordeal.

According to local activists, Taliban fighters also raped female relatives and killed family members, including children, of police commanders and soldiers, especially those working for Afghan Local Police (ALP). The Taliban also burnt down the families’ houses and looted their belongings.

The relative of a woman who worked as a midwife in Kunduz maternity hospital told Amnesty International how Taliban fighters gang-raped and then killed her and another midwife because they accused them of providing reproductive health services to women in the city.

The Taliban released all the male prisoners held in Kunduz and gave them arms to fight against government forces. Female prisoners were raped and beaten, then the Taliban abducted some and released others.

An eyewitness told Amnesty International that a civilian woman in his neighbourhood had been shot amid fighting between Taliban and the Afghan security forces. Taliban fighters responded to her screams of pain by entering her house and shooting her point blank in the head, forcing her husband to watch her die. Taliban attack on Afghan parliament in Kabul has ended, seven militants killed: official

Taliban attack on Afghan parliament in Kabul has ended, seven militants killed: official. (ET).

KABUL: A Taliban attack on the Afghan parliament Monday ended after all seven militants were killed, the government said.

“The attack has ended now. Seven attackers were involved — one detonated a car near the parliament building and six were killed by security forces after they entered a nearby building,” deputy interior ministry spokesperson Najib Danish told AFP.

Taliban militants attacked the Afghan parliament on Monday, with gunfire and a huge explosion rocking the building, sending lawmakers running for cover in chaotic scenes relayed live on television.

The militants swiftly claimed responsibility for the attack which came as the Afghan president’s nominee for the crucial post of defence minister was to be introduced in parliament.

A major assault on such a high-profile target in downtown Kabul raises fresh questions about security as Afghan forces battle a resurgent Taliban without the aid of NATO forces, who ended their combat mission in December.

Police denied that Taliban fighters had breached the high-security parliament building and there were no immediate reports on casualties. A thick plume of smoke was seen rising from the building. It is a group attack by the Taliban on the parliament,” Kabul police spokesperson Ebadullah Karimi told AFP.

They are not inside the parliament building, but they are somewhere outside the building". Hmmmm..... Obama: If We Work Hard, Afghanistan Could Be a Success...Like ... Iraq .”Read the full story here.

Clash between Islamist extremists: 'ISIL vs Taliban' in Afghanistan.

Clash between Islamist extremists: 'ISIL vs Taliban' in Afghanistan. (Khamaa).

After setting the historical shrines of Logar province of Afghanistan on fire on Saturday February 21st, 2015, the ISIL militants also killed one civilian and replaced the Taliban’s white flag with their own black flag in the Charkh district.

On the same day, the ISIL men entered locals’ houses, broke their televisions and warn people not to watching television anymore (Tolonews).

The ISIL affiliated group claimed the responsibility and asked Talibans militants in the Province to declare their allegiance to Al-Baghdadi, the Caliph of Islamic States of Iraq and the Levant.

On Tuesday February 24th, 2015, another 30 men, all from Hazara ethnic minorities, were kidnapped in Zabul province by a group of masked men but no one yet claimed responsibility for it.

Although such incidents were normally claimed by the Taliban as they are the only powerful insurgent group in Logar and Zabul provinces; however, the recent burning of shrines were taken by ISIL group who receives commands directly from their own commander Sa’aad ul Emarati or Hafez Saeed Khan, nominated Governor of Khorosaan.

Since ISIL made significant contribution in international Jihad against the West, Al-Baghdadi claims that the ISIL have gained more achievements in 2014 and 2015 compared to the whole Taliban campaigns in the last fourteen years. Being attracted by even radical group, The Taliban are continuously losing their men to ISIL. In contrast, the ISIL is rapidly maximizing its man power, ammunitions and financial resources.

For example, since the announcement of the Khorosaan Province, covering modern day Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, and part of neighboring central Asian countries, in January 2015, the ISIL had not only convinced commanders of Pakistani Taliban to declare their allegiance to Al-Baghdadi, the Group had also nominated the Pakistani Taliban commander Hafez Saeed Khan as the emir of the Khorosaan.

Other well-known Taliban figures who had recently joint ISIL are Shahidullah Shahid, Sa’aad al Emarati, Sheikh Muhsin, Dolat Khan, Khalid Mansoor, Abdul Rauf Khadim and dozens/hundreds others.
The Allegiance of Hafez Saeed Khan and other Taliban commanders to Al-Baghdadi mean that the Pakistani Taliban is no longer under the command of Mullah Omar and Al-Baghdadi’s calling of Mullah Omar a “fool and illiterate warlord” was even disgraced Mullah Omar’s religious credibility and political weight.

The Afghan Security official claims that they are competent enough to control the situation. The Afghan National Directorate of Security considers the killing of ISIL’s commander Abdul Rauf Khadim and his eight men on February 10th in Helmand as a victory. However, the recent Logar incident which happened in 60km from Kabul reveals that the ISIL is capable of threatening Afghan people anywhere in the country.

Today, the Taliban is much fragmented in the rise of even more radical groups in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Pakistani Taliban, known as the Tahrik e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), is no longer under the central command of Quetta Shura led by Mullah Mohammad Omar.

The ISIL, which is rapidly increasing its members, is now considered main rival to the Taliban and receives command from the Governor of Khorosaan or directly from Al-Baghdadi. Other insurgent groups such as the Haqqani group, Al-Qaida, Hezb e Islami Hekmatyar, Islamic Party of Uzbekistan and others insurgents groups are all receiving commands from their own leaders.

Amongst the various terrorists groups, the ISIL is not only much radical and well funded, the group had also proved capable of convincing loyal Taliban members such as TTP commander Hafeez Saeed Khan, TTP spokesperson Sheikh Maqbool (Shahidullah Shahid), founder of the radical Abtalul Islam Foundation Sheikh Abu Yazid Khorasani and dozens other Taliban and insurgent groups in Afghanistan and Pakistan to join them. Hmmm.......Good thing Taliban prisoners were released from Gitmo so they can join ISIL........'Leading from behind' while exercising 'strategic patience' .Read the full story here.

Afghan Taliban’s Doha office revived, Emir of Qatar visiting White House next week.

Afghan Taliban’s Muslim Brotherhood Doha office revived, initial talks begin, Emir of Qatar visiting WH next week. (pakistantoday).

The Afghan Taliban’s office in Doha has been revived and the Taliban are now holding initial talks with the Afghan government with Pakistan acting as facilitator, as Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Friday welcomed Pakistan’s initiative to help in the reconciliation process.

Ghani’s office, however, warned that opponents to the peace efforts could mislead people through disinformation.

“The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan respects Pakistan’s recent efforts to pave the way for peace and reconciliation,” the Afghan Presidential Palace said in a statement.

The statement released by the Afghan Embassy in Islamabad also welcomed COAS Raheel Sharif’s remarks that Pakistan considers “Afghanistan’s enemy as its own enemy” during his recent meeting with President Ghani and Chief Executive Dr Abdullah Abdullah.

“Pakistani and Afghanistan leaders have reached a conclusion to begin joint efforts in view of threats and difficulties. The shocking attacks on the army school in Peshawar and Paktika’s Yahya Khel area have strengthened determination and commitment in both countries to jointly fight against terrorism and extremism.”

The statement added that Afghanistan, Pakistan, and international allies are committed to sincerely cooperate with each other to achieve peace

Meanwhile, a top Pakistani official privy to the developments confirmed the resumption of initial contacts between the two parties for devising the rules and agenda of formal talks expected to begin in March.

Yes I can confirm Taliban’s Doha office has been revived and now with the facilitation of Pakistan, Afghan Taliban are holding initial talks with senior Afghan government officials to chalk out the strategy and set rules for formal talks,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

Details reveal that in the initial level talks, the Afghan Taliban are being represented by Qari Din Mohammad from the Taliban political office in Doha who also went to China in late November, 2014 to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. Qari Din Muhammad also held a meeting with senior US diplomats in Doha this week.

Islamabad, Beijing, Doha and Dubai are the possible venue for talks, and a final destination would be decided by the end of this month.
President Obama will host the Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, at the White House on Tuesday, February 24.
The President looks forward to discussing with Sheikh Tamim political, economic, and security issues of mutual concern to our two countries, to further that relationship along with our shared interest in supporting stability and prosperity in the Middle East. Hmmm.....Seems the Obama White House is the place to be for the Who's who in the Muslim Brotherhood club. Just NO JEWS? Read the full story here.

Egyptian President Sisi: "‘I Am Ready To Die For Egypt’.

Egyptian President Sisi: "‘I Am Ready To Die For Egypt’.(ES).

“I am ready to die [for Egypt]…and meet God for what I have done,” said Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in a live address after a meeting with the country’s top military brass.

Egypt’s Sisi said Egypt is in a “difficult, strong and evil confrontation” which will take a long time to be resolved, in his first national address after the latest deadly Sinai attacks.

At least 30 people were killed and 50 others were injured late Thursday in four separate attacks against security installations in the governorate.

We are facing an organisation at its strongest,” Sisi said. He added that some members of this organisation are now leading certain countries in the world. “Do you think these countries would leave us alone?”

Sisi said he could forsee such attacks hitting the country since the military ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule.

He said he met with a leader of “the organisation” on June 21, 2013, in reference to the banned Muslim Brotherhood.

“He told me, you will find people coming to fight you from all around the world,” Sisi said.

Sisi had demanded a mandate to “combat terrorism” in July 2013. Two days later, thousands of Egyptians took to the streets nationwide in anwer to his demand.

“This was your decision, people of Egypt,” he said.

Sisi cut short his trip to Ethiopia on Friday after the attacks. The president was heading an Egyptian delegation attending the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi established on Saturday a unified command to combat terrorism east of the Suez Canal, following deadly militant attacks in Sinai.

At least 30 people were killed and 50 others were injured late Thursday in four separate attacks against security installations in the governorate.

Egypt’s Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) announced the presidential decree establishing the command. Sisi promoted Third Field Army Commander Osama Roshdy Askar to lieutenant general, who will be in charge of the command. Hmmm....The only Muslim President that calls for reform of Islam must be killed......With approval of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' club.

Hagel: "I had conflicts with White House officials on releasing Gitmo prisoners"

Hagel: "I had conflicts with White House officials on releasing Gitmo prisoners" (TAZ).

Outgoing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said in an interview on Friday the United States might eventually need to send non-combat ground troops to Iraq to help turn back Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) forces, Al Arabiya reported.

Hagel, who announced his resignation under pressure in November, told CNN all options must be considered in Iraq, including sending troops for non-combat roles such as gathering intelligence and locating ISIS targets.

I think it may require a forward deployment of some of our troops ...,” he said. “I would say we’re not there yet. Whether we get there or not, I don’t know.”

Hagel’s comments echoed testimony by General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to Congress last fall when he said US troops might have to take a larger role on the ground in Iraq.

Such a deployment would be in addition to the 4,500 US troops already committed to training and advising roles in Iraq.

Hagel also said he had conflicts with White House officials on releasing prisoners from the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

As secretary of defense, Hagel authorized which prisoners would be released and when.
He told CNN that the White House did not agree with his cautious approach, saying there were disagreements on “the pace of the releases.”
Asked by CNN if he had been pressured, Hagel said, “we’ve had a lot of conversations” with the White House and Congress on the releasesHmmm.....Ok now we know why he had to go.

Army denies Bergdahl 'deserter' story, No decision made.

Army denies Bergdahl 'deserter' story, No decision made.(ArmyTimes).

The Army says there is no truth to media reports claiming a decision has been made to charge Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with desertion.

The Army continues to review the case against Bergdahl, said Paul Boyce, a spokesman for Forces Command, on Tuesday morning.

In a report Monday citing two anonymous military sources, retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer told Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” that the Army plans to charge Bergdahl with desertion. Schaffer also told the outlet his sources confirmed to him that Bergdahl’s lawyer has been given a charge sheet.

No charge sheets were available Tuesday, and Boyce said he is unaware of any charge sheets being issued against Bergdahl, adding that the Fox News story “seems to be speculative in nature.”

Bergdahl’s attorney Eugene Fidell declined to comment. NBC News, citing an anonymous senior defense official, is also reporting a desertion charge is coming, possibly within the week.

Gen. Mark Milley, commanding general of Forces Command, “is reviewing now the Army’s facts and findings to determine, impartially, any appropriate next steps and possible actions,” Boyce said.

Milley is “actively reviewing the case,” he said. “No decision’s been made.”

There is no timeline for when Milley must make a decision.

Milley received the Army’s investigation Dec. 22, Boyce said.

Bergdahl, 28, disappeared from Combat Outpost Mest-Lalak in Paktika province, Afghanistan, on June 30, 2009.

He spent five years as a captive under the Taliban before he was freed in a May 31 prisoner swap that also freed five Taliban leaders from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

He is now assigned to a desk job at U.S. Army North at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, while he awaits the outcome of the Army’s review.

The Army has declined to release any details of the six-month investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

Then-Spc. Bergdahl was accused of leaving his patrol base alone and intentionally before he was captured by Taliban insurgents in 2009.

A prior investigation of Bergdahl’s disappearance – conducted in 2009 long before his return – found that some members of his unit believed Bergdahl left his patrol base alone at night at least once before and returned safely.

As the general court-martial convening authority, Milley has several courses of action, from no further action against Bergdahl to court-martial.

The case presents a challenge for the Army’s leadership, which has to decide whether to punish a soldier who spent five years as a prisoner of war or essentially overlook the allegations of misconduct that surrounded his disappearance.

Update: NBC: Bowe Bergdahl to Be Charged With Desertion, Officials Say

According to the officials, the desertion charges would be based on allegations that Bergdahl abandoned his remote outpost in June 2009 to avoid hazardous duty or important service, which are grounds for charges of desertion under the Uniform Military Code of Justice, or UCMJ.

According to one senior official, Bergdahl's actions in Afghanistan go well beyond the lesser offense of AWOL, absent without leave, because he allegedly abandoned his post "in the middle of a combat zone, potentially putting the lives of his fellows soldiers at risk." Hmmmm.....It seems the Obama 'Admin' is trying to suppress this story with a 'false flag' operation...it won't disappear.

Video - Bergdahl to be charged with desertion - "He who laughs last, laughs best.''

In White House terms, not charging Bergdahl means that he was indeed worth the trade for the Taliban Five. But charging him on any level means that releasing the five Taliban was an error of monstrous proportions, one the administration will never be able to explain away satisfactorily.

Last Sunday, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, indicated that he expected a decision “fairly soon” on whether the Army will court martial Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for allegedly deserting his post in Afghanistan, or has cleared him, paving the way for separation from the service and back pay in excess of $200,000.

Moreover, a decision to clear Bergdahl may well open the door for him to be designated a former prisoner of war, ensuring him substantial monthly pay, medical and educational benefits for the rest of his life.

To those who have followed all angles of Bergdahl’s case, it appears the Army has a true dilemma on its hands, as does the Obama administration.

By now the investigating team has done an in-depth look into the circumstances surrounding Bergdahl’s disappearance from his post, has probably interviewed every witness with credible information, has looked at every piece of physical evidence and has reviewed hundreds of classified intelligence reports regarding his captivity. Its conclusions are long overdue. Hmmm......"I make absolutely no apologies for making sure we get a young man back to his parents," Obama told reporters.  Read the full story here.

"Let my people go?" - 'Messiah' Obama to 'prioritize' case of Londoner held in Guantanamo

"Let my people go?" - 'Messiah' Obama to 'prioritize' case of Londoner held in Guantanamo.(ITV).

National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said Obama said he would "prioritize" the case of the last British person held in the notorious prison.

Prime Minister Cameron raised this case with the president, and the president told him that he understands why this case is of great interest to the Prime Minister and the British people. "The president committed to the Prime Minister that we will prioritise this case, while making sure any action taken is consistent with our national security.

– US NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL SPOKESWOMAN BERNADETTE MEEHAN A British government source welcomed the commitment as a "step forward". We see this as a step forward. We now need to keep working with the Americans and continue our discussions to resolve this case once and for all. – GOVERNMENT SOURCE.

Aamer, whose wife and four children live in Battersea, was captured by US forces in Afghanistan in 2002. His family say he was an aid worker.

A group of top health experts today joined growing calls for Aamer's release saying continued detention was having an appalling effect on his medical condition.

The 45-year-old, originally from Saudi Arabia, is said to be suffering from a range of illnesses including post-traumatic stress disorder and asthma.

The medics, including professors, consultants and GPs, have written a letter to the Daily Mail expressing frustration at the attitude of the Foreign Office.

An assessment on Aamer prepared by a military analyst in November 2007 and leaked by Wikileaks said Aamer, who was arrested in Afghanistan in 2001, was a close associate of Osama bin Laden and so powerful a figure that he is capable of controlling other detainees to the point of being able to compel them to commit suicide.

Aamer has denied being associated with al Qaeda and says he was working for an Islamic charity in Afghanistan during the US invasion in 2001.

The assessment said Aamer is "extremely egotistical," that he "manipulated debriefers and guard staff" and that, on the advice of one of his Reprieve attorney, Clive Stafford Smith, he led a hunger strike in the summer of 2005 involving more than 100 detainees. Aamer has said the strike was aimed at bringing Guantanamo in line with the Geneva Conventions. Hmmm.....Don't tell me he's a relative to this Shaker? And where does this Yusuf Qaradawi live? Yes you guessed it.... Obama's ME 'peacepartner' Qatar.  More here.

Obama 'admin' frees another five Yemeni Gitmo prisoners from Guantanamo

Obama 'admin' frees another five Yemeni Gitmo prisoners from Guantanamo. (WaEx).

The Obama administration late Wednesday released five Yemeni al Qaeda fighters from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, sending four of them to Oman, which shares a border with Yemen.

The move is likely to inflame GOP lawmakers who proposed Tuesday to bar further such releases, especially to Yemen, a country wracked by sectarian violence where the local al Qaeda affiliate has claimed credit for last week's deadly attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

The four sent to Oman — Al Khadr Abdallah Muhammad Al Yafi, Fadel Hussein Saleh Hentif, Abd Al-Rahman Abdullah Abu Shabati, and Mohammed Ahmed Salam — were considered either medium-risk or high-risk detainees.

A fifth, Ahmed Abdul Qadir, judged to be a medium risk, was sent to Estonia.

All five were recommended for release in 2010 after the Obama administration reviewed cases of detainees recommended for continued detention under the administration of George W. Bush.

Their transfer leaves 122 detainees at the prison.

Legislation introduced Tuesday by Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., would bar the release or transfer of any detainees judged to be medium- or high-risk — the vast majority of those who remain — and requires greater justification for any other release or transfer. It also would bar transfers of any Guantanamo prisoner to Yemen, home country of the largest single group of remaining detainees. Hmmm...Expect these five names to popup in the coming months involved in new terrorist attacks.

Obama poised to free two more Gitmo inmates

Obama poised to free two more Gitmo inmates. (CJR).

The Washington Times – Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

President Obama is due to release two more Guantanamo Bay inmates in the coming days, Fox News reported early Tuesday.

The overnight announcement from the White House comes on the heels of a similar decision made by Mr. Obama just a few days ago to free five Gitmo prisoners. Those five were arrested in Pakistan after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on U.S. soil, but never charged.

Three hailed from Yemen; the other two, from Tunisia.

The nationalities and identities of the two who are poised to be released in the coming days are not yet known.

About three dozen inmates have been let go from Gitmo in recent months. About 125 remain at the facility, and Mr. Obama has made shutting the facility one of his campaign promises.

Obama 'Admin' quietly transfers 5 Guantanamo Bay detainees to Kazakhstan.

Obama 'Admin' quietly transfers 5 Guantanamo Bay detainees to Kazakhstan. (UPI).

Five detainees held at Guantanamo Bay were transferred to Kazakhstan on Tuesday. The Pentagon identified the detainees as Asim Thahit Abdullah al Khalaqi, Muhammed Ali Hussein Khnenah, and Sabri Mohammed Ebrahim al Qurashi, all from Yemen, and two Tunisians, Adel Bin Ahmed Bin Ibrahim Hkiml and Mohammed Abdul Rahman.

The men, held for more than 11 years, were originally detained in Pakistan for suspected ties to al-Qaida or other militant Islamists.

An interagency Guantanamo Review Task Force "unanimously approved" the transfer of the five men after determining they no longer posed a threat to the United States.

"The United States coordinated with the government of Kazakhstan to ensure these transfers took place consistent with appropriate security and humane treatment measures," the Pentagon said in a statement.

A total of 28 detainees were removed from Guantanamo Bay in 2014, 22 of whom were transferred in the past two months. President Barack Obama has said it is his goal to close the detention center.

There are 127 inmates currently at the detention facility, the Pentagon said Tuesday. Fifty-nine of those still detained have been cleared for release with more transfers expected in the coming weeks. Read The full story here.

Back in 2010 JW wrote about a report that the Director of National Intelligence gave Congress documenting that 150 former Gitmo detainees were confirmed or suspected of “reengaging in terrorist or insurgent activities after transfer.” At least 83 remained at large, according to the document. More here.

Important Update !

From Daniel Greenfield:

There appears to be no threat that a terrorist can pose and no crime he has committed too severe to prevent him from getting a plane trip out of Gitmo at taxpayer expense. The last releases saw terrorists rated as high risk freed by Obama. They included fighters with experience on the battlefield and covert operations.
Obama set loose a suicide bomber, a document forger and a bomb maker who trained other terrorists to make bombs. Those are exactly the sorts of enemies whose license to Jihad will cost lives.
But that’s nothing compared to Obama’s latest gift to the Jihad. When Mohammed Zahir was caught, among his possessions was found a small sealed can marked, in Russian, “Heavy Water U235 150 Grams.”
According to the classified report, the uranium had been identified by Zahir “in his memorandum as being intended for the production of an “atom bomb.”
Zahir was not just another captured Jihadist. He was the Secretary General of the Taliban’s Intelligence Directorate and was in contact with top leaders of the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
His possessions included a fax with questions intended for Osama bin Laden and he had been arrested on suspicion of possessing Stinger missiles. But that may not have even been the worst of it. Among the items was a notebook containing references to large sugar shipments to Washington D.C.

Investigators believed that sugar was used as a code word for heroin. The Black Sea stops mentioned in the notebook are major hubs for smuggling heroin and for nuclear smuggling as well.
