On his radio program Thursday, constitutional lawyer and bestselling author Mark Levin slammed the Obama administration for manipulating data about climate change and “lying” to the American in order to advance its socialist ideology.
Levin was responding to a report by The Daily Caller‘s Chris White, who highlighted an admission by a former Obama Energy Department official earlier in the week that the administration deliberately presented “misleading” and “sometimes just wrong” climate data. Former Energy Department Undersecretary Steven Koonintold The Wall Street Journal Monday that bureaucrats within former President Barack Obama’s administration spun scientific data to manipulate public opinion.
“What you saw coming out of the press releases about climate data, climate analysis, was, I’d say, misleading, sometimes just wrong,” Koonin said, referring to elements within the Obama administration he said were responsible for manipulating climate data.
“What they forgot to tell you, and you don’t know until you read all the way into the fine print is that it actually decreased in the decades before that,” he said.
Levin pointed to Koonin’s statement as yet more evidence that the Obama administration had let ideology trump the truth and outright “lied” to the American people.
“We were lied to. We were lied to in order to advance an ideology,” said the radio host. Read the full story here.
Russia to build Eight new nuclear reactors in Iran. (Fars).
"Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant has been built
based on Russian technology and we have agreed on construction of eight
more nuclear reactors for the country," President Putin said on Friday.
The Russian president also vowed that his country
will help Iran in implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of
Action (JCPOA).
Russia built Iran's only operating nuclear power reactor, at Bushehr.
Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom said
earlier it was in talks with Iran on the potential construction of more
reactors there but revealed no details. Rosatom officials could not
immediately be reached for comment on Thursday.
In December, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani
announced that Iran has plans to generate more electricity through the
nuclear energy in the coming years by building a second nuclear power
plant in Bushehr.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran
(AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi has on different occasions announced that Iran
is ready to continue its mutual cooperation with Russia in peaceful
nuclear energy.
The Islamic Republic signed the Bushehr contract
with Russia in 1995 and the nuclear power plant reached its full
capacity by August 2012. It is located about 18 kilometers South of the
provincial capital.
“Based on our estimates, the second nuclear power
plant will be built in the same province and I hope that we can use the
facilities of this province,” Rouhani added.
In relevant remarks in November, Head of the
Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi said most of
Iran's new power plants will be built near the country's coasts in the
South and the North.
Salehi said a majority of Iran’s new nuclear
facilities will be on the Southern coasts of the Persian Gulf and
Northern coasts of the Caspian Sea while another part would be in
Central Iran.
“The power plants should have access to a huge
source of water. The new power plants will be supported by
desalinations, mainly located in Southern parts of the country,” the top
Iranian nuclear official pointed out.
“We are not obliged to introduce to the
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) the nuclear facilities that we
are to build in the future and only 180 days before entry of nuclear
substances there, we will inform the IAEA of them,” Salehi said.
Also in October, Salehi announced that Iran has
plans to generate more electricity through the nuclear energy in the
coming years.
“We are considering construction of power plants
along the coasts of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea as well as the
Central parts of Iran, but priority is given to the Persian Gulf coasts
because we want to pave the way for (construction of) water desalination
facilities to supply drinking water for the Southern provinces of
Iran,” Salehi told reporters at the time.
Iranian officials say the Persian Gulf country
needs enough atomic reactors to generate a total of 20,000 megawatts of
electricity by 2020.

Nobody, except Obama knows if his conversion to Christianity is real or not. Although some reports and even Obama have referred to a "baptism", there doesn't appear to be any record of a baptism.
Chicago-based journalist, broadcaster and critic Andy Martin, when asked about Obama's baptism, wrote, "I have never been able to obtain any evidence that he was baptized, although I asked for those records."
It seems that Obama's conversion occurred when he answered one of Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright's altar calls by walking down the aisle of Trinity Church to make a formal commitment of his faith.
Cathleen Falsani, religion columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, writes, "He (Obama) described his conversion experience in his mid-20s, how he walked the aisle at Trinity United Church of Christ one Sunday in a public affirmation of his private change of heart."
"I came to Christianity through the black church tradition where the line between evangelical and non-evangelical is completely blurred. Nobody knows exactly what it means."
Falsani warns us that Obama’s walking the aisle at Trinity is poles apart from what Christians commonly refer to as being "saved, transformed or washed in the blood." In other words, it’s not to be confused with what Jesus called being "born again." As Mr. Obama himself explains, "It wasn’t an epiphany … but just a moment to certify or publicly affirm a growing faith in me."
In another account of this event, Manya Brachear, writing in the Chicago Tribune, describes the event thusly: "When Obama sought his own church community, he felt increasingly at home at Trinity. Before leaving for Harvard Law School in 1988, he responded to one of Wright's altar calls and declared a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Falsani wonders, "What kind of faith is it that is growing in Barack Obama? Is it the historic Christian faith? Not according to the good senator, who describes his faith as: (1) Suspicious of dogma (2) Without any monopoly on the truth (3) Nontransferable to others (4) Infused with a big healthy dose of doubt, and (5) Indulgent of and compatible with all other religions."
Unlike traditional Christianity, which Mr. Obama bemoans for its "call to evangelize and proselytize," the good senator’s faith is strictly a personal and private affair. Although he has no qualms about parading it in public in hopes of bolstering his political career, he would never dream of preaching it to others in hopes of converting them to Christ.
At the core of Obama's faith -- whether lapsed Muslim, new Christian or some mixture of the two -- is African nativism and Obama's having pledged allegiance to the Black Value System raises political issues of its own.
The phrase, “having been baptized,” is apparently based on Obama’s claim about being baptized. Our major media haven’t questioned the claim.

Christ Himself ordered His disciples to preach the Gospel to all nations and to baptize those who accept the message of the Gospel. In His encounter with Nicodemus (John 3:1-21), Christ made it clear that baptism was necessary for salvation: "Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." For Catholics, the sacrament is not a mere formality; it is the very mark of a Christian, because it brings us into new life in Christ.

Michelle and I would like to extend our warmest wishes to Muslims in the
United States and around the world celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. As Muslims mark
the end of the month, they are reminded that Ramadan is a time to reflect
spiritually, build communally, and aid those in need. While Eid marks the
end of Ramadan, it marks a new beginning for each individual – a reason to
celebrate and express gratitude on this holiday.
For millions of Muslims, the morning of Eid is marked with the call to
prayer echoing through cities and towns across the globe. Millions of people
head to local mosques for special Eid prayers followed by festive
gatherings, gift exchanges, and feasts among friends, neighbors and
families. The diversity of traditions paint the vibrant images we see from
around the world capturing the spirit and excitement of Eid – colorful
dresses or white garments decorating the masses of people standing in lines
for prayer, lanterns and ornaments lighting up bazaars and neighborhoods,
intricate henna designs painted on hands of young girls and women, and an
abundance of delectable foods and aromatic cuisines.
As Muslim Americans celebrate Eid across America, the holiday is a reminder
to every American of the importance of respecting those of all faiths and
beliefs. This past year New York City Public Schools announced adding Eid to
their official school calendars alongside Christmas, Hanukkah and other
holidays – an acknowledgement of the great diversity and inclusiveness that
adds to the richness of our nation. During this year’s White House Iftar, I

Cuba could be removed as early as April from US' List of Sponsors of Terrorism.(telesurtv).
The move could happen as early as April paving the way for diplomatic embassies in Washington and Havana.
The United States responded positively to Cuba's call to be taken off from the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism, a condition put forward by Havana before embassies could be opened in their respective capitals.
Roberta Jacobson, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, said on Friday during a press conference that her country is reviewing the terror list and will remove Cuba from it before April to pave the way for better ties between both nations.
"We are going to do that as quickly as we can in accordance with the requirements of the law, but we see that and the establishment of diplomatic relations as separate processes,” Jacobson said.
The Cuban government has insisted that diplomatic relations cannot exist while one country has the other one on a list of sponsors of terrorism.
"For us it would be difficult to explain that Cuba and the U.S. have re-established normal diplomatic relations while Cuba is kept in that list that we believe we have never belonged to," said Josefina Vidal, director of Cuban Foreign Ministry's North American affairs office, who is heading her country's delegation in the talks. New images of testing materials have emerged of China's largest ever UAV, the secretive Divine Eagle. Compared to other Chinese aviation projects like the J-20 stealth fighter and Y-20 heavy transport aircraft, the lack of publicly available photos of the Divine Eagle suggests that like the American RQ-180, this giant drone is a strategic and sensitive asset.
Given the presence of official diagrams and wind tunnel testing, the Divine Eagle is likely to be a real Chinese project, built by the "black project" division of the venerable Shenyang Aircraft Corporation.

Army denies Bergdahl 'deserter' story, No decision made.(ArmyTimes).
The Army says there is no truth to media reports claiming a decision has been made to charge Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with desertion.
The Army continues to review the case against Bergdahl, said Paul Boyce, a spokesman for Forces Command, on Tuesday morning.
In a report Monday citing two anonymous military sources, retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer told Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” that the Army plans to charge Bergdahl with desertion. Schaffer also told the outlet his sources confirmed to him that Bergdahl’s lawyer has been given a charge sheet.
No charge sheets were available Tuesday, and Boyce said he is unaware of any charge sheets being issued against Bergdahl, adding that the Fox News story “seems to be speculative in nature.”
Bergdahl’s attorney Eugene Fidell declined to comment. NBC News, citing an anonymous senior defense official, is also reporting a desertion charge is coming, possibly within the week.
Gen. Mark Milley, commanding general of Forces Command, “is reviewing now the Army’s facts and findings to determine, impartially, any appropriate next steps and possible actions,” Boyce said.
Milley is “actively reviewing the case,” he said. “No decision’s been made.”
There is no timeline for when Milley must make a decision.
Milley received the Army’s investigation Dec. 22, Boyce said.
Bergdahl, 28, disappeared from Combat Outpost Mest-Lalak in Paktika province, Afghanistan, on June 30, 2009.
He spent five years as a captive under the Taliban before he was freed in a May 31 prisoner swap that also freed five Taliban leaders from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
He is now assigned to a desk job at U.S. Army North at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas, while he awaits the outcome of the Army’s review.
The Army has declined to release any details of the six-month investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Then-Spc. Bergdahl was accused of leaving his patrol base alone and intentionally before he was captured by Taliban insurgents in 2009.
A prior investigation of Bergdahl’s disappearance – conducted in 2009 long before his return – found that some members of his unit believed Bergdahl left his patrol base alone at night at least once before and returned safely.
As the general court-martial convening authority, Milley has several courses of action, from no further action against Bergdahl to court-martial.
The case presents a challenge for the Army’s leadership, which has to decide whether to punish a soldier who spent five years as a prisoner of war or essentially overlook the allegations of misconduct that surrounded his disappearance.
According to the officials, the desertion charges would be based on allegations that Bergdahl abandoned his remote outpost in June 2009 to avoid hazardous duty or important service, which are grounds for charges of desertion under the Uniform Military Code of Justice, or UCMJ.
According to one senior official, Bergdahl's actions in Afghanistan go well beyond the lesser offense of AWOL, absent without leave, because he allegedly abandoned his post "in the middle of a combat zone, potentially putting the lives of his fellows soldiers at risk."Hmmmm.....It seems the Obama 'Admin' is trying to suppress this story with a 'false flag' operation...it won't disappear.
In White House terms, not charging Bergdahl means that he was indeed worth the trade for the Taliban Five. But charging him on any level means that releasing the five Taliban was an error of monstrous proportions, one the administration will never be able to explain away satisfactorily.

Last Sunday, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, indicated that he expected a decision “fairly soon” on whether the Army will court martial Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for allegedly deserting his post in Afghanistan, or has cleared him, paving the way for separation from the service and back pay in excess of $200,000.
Moreover, a decision to clear Bergdahl may well open the door for him to be designated a former prisoner of war, ensuring him substantial monthly pay, medical and educational benefits for the rest of his life.
To those who have followed all angles of Bergdahl’s case, it appears the Army has a true dilemma on its hands, as does the Obama administration.

Saudi Government Daily: U.S. Secretly Cooperating With Iran At Arabs' Expense. (Memri).
Yousuf Al-Kuwailit, who writes the editorials of the Saudi government daily Al-Rai, opined in a December 7, 2014 editorial that, despite the tension that has ostensibly prevailed between the U.S. and Iran ever since the Islamic Revolution, in practice there is secret cooperation between them. As part of this cooperation, he said, Iraq has become nothing but an arena for assuring the interests of these two countries, and Iran has been granted freedom of action in Syria and Lebanon.
Referring to the U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, he said they were a farce that would end in contracts and deals, and perhaps even an alliance, between the two countries. He therefore called on the Arabs not to regard the U.S. as a reliable ally, and warned that the U.S. may force the Gulf states to reconcile with Iran, to the detriment of their interests.
The following are excerpts from the article:
"In order to better understand the unfolding of events, [we need to realize that] the U.S. and its allies set out the initial plan to divide the Arab [regions] a long time ago, and that the Sikes-Picot agreement is only the first outcome [of that plan]. [We must also realize] that handing over Iraq [to Iran], and annexing Syria and later Lebanon to it, and the [silent] agreement [between the two countries] that Iran would have a free hand in these countries – all these are only a prelude to more dangerous activity.
"[Accordingly], relying on the U.S. or thinking it a reliable ally without properly understanding the strategic changes and aims, place us in a situation [of self-delusion], because all the historic elements of power see how positions and policies change but interests remain.
This principle will be ultimately applied to all the countries that have a relationship with the U.S., whether economic or strategic, because the Arabs are part of a geographic area whose borders are changing, including through the disappearance of the centrally[-ruled] state in favor of states [based on] sect or nationality.
"One simple event in recent days is the Iranian Air Force's incursion into Iraq to attack ISIS positions, which the U.S. confirmed but Iran denied. At the same time, the U.S. also ignores the incursion of [Iranian] ground troops under the command of [IRGC Qods Forces commander] Qassem Soleymani into Iraq, [which has been taking place] ever since the U.S. first started managing [Iraq's] affairs... [In fact,] U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry stated that any Iranian military attack on ISIS was positive.
This exposes the significant coordination between the two countries, and belies the statements of U.S. military circles denying any cooperation or coordination [with Iran] in the war on ISIS...
"In the era of [former Iraqi prime minister Nouri] Al-Maliki, Iraq become nothing but an arena for assuring the interests of two players: Iran and the U.S. This came about as part of an agreement that began with [head of the occupational authority of Iraq after the 2003 invasion Paul] Bremer, and no Iraqi government will put an end to it, unless the Iraqis [dare to] oppose their homeland's dependence on another country – something that is difficult and complicated to do.
"Ultimately, even if the talk about the American-Iranian hostility is true, everything points towards new contracts between the two which are likely to turn into alliance. We could possibly see catastrophic days if the U.S. forces the Gulf states to reconcile with Iran, which will end in a way that will not serve our interests. This is an outcome that should not surprise us, if the reality of [U.S.-Gulf] friendship evolves into [U.S.] dictates [to the Gulf states]."
'The Case of the non existing Amnesty Order?' - Obama never signed amnesty order. (WND).
Today the National Archives and Records Administration, responsible for such maintaining such filings, said no such executive order was ever signed or filed, confirming WND’s report Wednesday.
A National Archives librarian, Jeffrey Hartley, made the confirmation in an email Thursday to WND.
“As I indicated, it would appear that there is not an Executive Order stemming from the President’s remarks on November 20 on immigration,” Hartley wrote.
Hartley said that neither of the executive orders Obama signed in Las Vegas the day after his announcement fulfill his plan to defer deportations and grant work permits to up to 5 million illegal aliens.
“The only two documents that I have located are two Presidential Memoranda, which are available from the White House site,” Hartley’s email continued. “They can also be found in the November 26, 2014 issue of the Federal Register.”
The two documents Hartley referenced were the two executive orders Obama signed in Las Vegas Nov. 21.
One was a presidential proclamation creating a White House Task Force on New Americans and the other a presidential memorandum instructing the secretaries of State and Homeland Security to consult with various governmental and non-governmental entities to reduce costs and improve service in issuing immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

Holder Ignores Grand Jury, Says Federal Investigation “Remains Ongoing”. (Matzav).
Attorney General Eric Holder released a statement after news came down that Darren Wilson would not be indicted for the murder of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri:
“While the grand jury proceeding in St. Louis County has concluded, the Justice Department’s investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown remains ongoing. Though we have shared information with local prosecutors during the course of our investigation, the federal inquiry has been independent of the local one from the start, and remains so now. Even at this mature stage of the investigation, we have avoided prejudging any of the evidence. And although federal civil rights law imposes a high legal bar in these types of cases, we have resisted forming premature conclusions.
“Michael Brown’s death was a tragedy. This incident has sparked a national conversation about the need to ensure confidence between law enforcement and the communities they protect and serve. While constructive efforts are underway in Ferguson and communities nationwide, far more must be done to create enduring trust.
The Department will continue to work with law enforcement, civil rights, faith and community leaders across the country to foster effective relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve and to improve fairness in the criminal justice system overall.
In addition, the Department continues to investigate allegations of unconstitutional policing patterns or practices by the Ferguson Police Department.
“Though there will be disagreement with the grand jury’s decision not to indict, this feeling should not lead to violence. Those who decide to participate in demonstrations should remember the wishes of Michael Brown’s parents, who have asked that remembrances of their son be conducted peacefully. It does not honor his memory to engage in violence or looting. In the coming days, it will likewise be important for local law enforcement authorities to respect the rights of demonstrators, and deescalate tensions by avoiding excessive displays-and uses-of force.”

A few days ago President Obama, in an interview he gave France's Canal+ TV
Channel, said that the American people need to be better educated about Islam,
since US could and should be regarded as a Muslim country. He said that the
number of Muslims residing in the US makes it "one of the biggest Muslim
nations".
In reality the US has one of the smallest percentages of
Muslims of any Western country. The number of Muslims in the US is approximately
4.5 million, 1.5% of the population, one of the smallest minorities in the US.
Since there are approximately 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, the number of
Muslims in the US is approximately 0.3% of the world Muslim population.
By
comparison there are between approximately 6 million Jews in the US, who account
for approximately a third of the world's Jewish population. Whereas many
Americans regard it as a society based on "Judeo-Christian values", it is
doubtful if there is one sane American who would define it as a Jewish
country.
By President Obama's
yardstick, France, Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy and Holland should all be
regarded as "Muslim nations". In France, which has the biggest Muslim population
in Europe, its 4.5 - 5 million Muslims account for 7.5% of the population. In
most other Western European countries, Muslims account for approximately 3%-5%
of the population.
The only EU citizens who
regard their societies either as Muslim ones, or as societies that should be
Muslim are those Muslim immigrants and the 2nd generation who have
not succeeded in integrating into the societies in which they live, and as a
result have become alienated from them. Even if half of Europe's Muslims have
this attitude (most likely the true number is far less), we are talking at most
about 2%-3% of those countries.
India has 150 million
Muslims (13%), making it the country with the world's biggest Muslim minority,
and the world's third largest Muslim population after Indonesia and Pakistan. No
Indian in their right mind, let alone the Prime minister would ever regard India
as a Muslim country.
Obama is correct in saying
that Americans should increase their knowledge and understanding of Islam. But
from there to claiming America is a Muslim country seems to be a bit of a

In its latest
assault on the U.S. Constitution, the Obama administration is proposing to
recognize so-called “Native” Hawaiians as an Indian tribe entitled to separate
and become an independent sovereign and to “reestablish” a
“government-to-government relationship between the United State and the Native
Hawaiian community.”
Such an unconstitutional action would amount to authorizing secession for
certain residents of Hawaii.
It would also implicitly authorize government-sanctioned, discriminatory
conduct against any other residents who don’t meet the explicit ancestry and
blood-quantum requirements to be considered a “Native.” This would balkanize
Hawaii, dividing the islands into separate racial and ethnic enclaves, and undo
“the political bargain through which Hawaii secured its admission into the
Union.”
At the end of June, the Department of the Interior issued an “Advanced Notice
of Proposed Rulemaking” that set out the administration’s plan, with the
opportunity for the public to file comments ending on August 19. No doubt to its
chagrin, the administration encountered strong opposition at a series of
hearings the Interior Department held in Hawaii in June and July, with one
official from the state Office of Hawaiian Affairs being loudly booed when she
declared her support for the plan.
From a constitutional standpoint, the administration has no legal authority
to implement its proposal. Only Congress, not the president, has the authority
to recognize Indian tribes under Article I, Section 8. Congress has specifically
refused to provide that authority. For more than a decade, former U.S.
Sen. Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, and Sen. Daniel Akaka, D-Hawaii, tried
unsuccessfully to convince Congress to pass the Native Hawaiian Recognition Act,
which would have provided such recognition.
In fact, as recently as a year ago, the head of Indian Affairs at the
Interior Department, Assistant Secretary Kevin K. Washburn, told
a House subcommittee that the administration did not “have the authority to
recognize Native Hawaiians.” Washburn told the subcommittee that “we would need
legislation to be able to proceed down that road.” Yet, suddenly, the
administration is proceeding down the very road that it admitted it lacks the
authority to travel.
Hawaii’s own former attorney general, Michael Lilly, says
that any effort to recognize Hawaiians as an Indian tribe is unconstitutional,
because so-called Native Hawaiians don’t meet any of the political requirements
necessary for such recognition. Hawaii went from being an independent kingdom to
a territory to a state and four commissioners from the U.S. Commission on Civil
Rights have told
President Obama that neither Congress nor the president can “reconstitute a
tribe or other sovereign entity that has ceased to exist as a polity in the
past.” In other words, there is no Native Hawaiian government with which the
administration can establish a government-to-government relationship because “it
is an extinguished government, and therefore, no government at all.”
The Hawaiian state government already provides special benefits to Native
Hawaiians, who are defined as “any descendant of not less than one-half part of
the blood of races inhabiting the Hawaiian Islands previous to 1778.”
As one
commissioner has commented,
this definition is similar to “the odious ‘one drop rule’ contained in the
racial-segregation codes of the 19th and early 20th
centuries.” The U.S. Supreme Court has called such
ancestry definitions a proxy for race and held that they are discriminatory and
a violation of the Fifteenth Amendment. In the past, the U.S. Justice Department
has consistently taken the same position.
At worst, the Obama administration’s proposal is unconstitutional, and as a
number of U.S. senators have told
the administration, it is “at best offensive to the character of a country
devoted to the advancement of all its citizens regardless of race.”
The proposed
rulemaking should be withdrawn and rescinded and the administration should stop
engaging in unconstitutional behavior that is outside of its authority.
American jihadist kills 4 in the United States to protest Obama's policies in the Middle East.(IraqiNews).
The Los Angeles Times newspaper confirmed that an American citizen killed four people in the United States to protest against the policy of the United States in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, indicating that he told the investigating judge that he avenged in this way from the American government for its policy in the Middle East.
The Los Angeles Times said that “an American citizen named Ali Mohamed Brown lives in Seattle admitted that he murdered four people in Washington and New Jersey, adding “he killed them in retaliation of the United States government for its policy in the Middle East, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.”
It is noteworthy that “Muhammad Ali Brown announced in front of the investigating judge that he has claimed responsibility for the killing of three people in Washington, and he killed another person in New Jersey, admitting that he has assassinated them in protest against the deaths in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.Hmmmm.....The first of probably many more to come.Read the full story here.
“Dreamer” Convicted of Killing 2 Girls Spared Deportation Under Obama Amnesty. HT: JudicialWatch.
An illegal immigrant protected by President Obama’s amnesty for “Dreamers”
(brought to the United States through no fault of their own as children) will
not be deported after getting convicted of felony hit-and-run for killing two little girls
playing in a leaf pile.
The shocking story comes out of a small town near Portland Oregon, a city
that has long offered illegal aliens sanctuary. In fact, the entire state of
Oregon is a sanctuary for those in the country illegally and all law enforcement
officers are banned from using any public resources to locate or capture illegal
immigrants.
This case involves a 19-year-old woman, Cinthya Garcia-Cisneros,
living illegally in the U.S. since she was four years old. She’s the classic
candidate for the president’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) directive, which
grants illegal aliens who came to the U.S. as youngsters a two-year deferment
from deportation.
Under DACA, implemented in 2012, Garcia-Cisneros received a work permit,
driver’s license and Social Security number. Last fall she slammed a sports
utility vehicle into a leaf pile, killing 6-year-old and 11-year-old
stepsisters, then she fled and her boyfriend helped cover up the crime.
The
horrific crash occurred in Forest Grove, which is about 25 miles west of
Portland. Garcia-Cisneros got arrested the following day and her boyfriend is in
jail for hindering prosecution. Earlier this year a jury found
her guilty of two counts of felony hit-and-run. Even under DACA, the illegal
immigrant should have been deported so she was taken to an immigration detention
center in Tacoma, Washington months ago to complete removal proceedings.
Shockingly, Garcia-Cisneros was recently released from the federal facility
and this week an immigration judge dismissed her deportation case.
A
Portland-area radio station was the first to break the unbelievable story,
but the national media subsequently showed interest because crucial portions of
the case are shrouded in secrecy. The judge gave no reason for dismissing the
deportation and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has declined to say
why the case was dropped, according to a national newswire story that says the
feds cited “privacy issues.”
As egregious as the Garcia-Cisneros case may seem, there may be many others
because the Obama administration has gone out of its way to protect illegal
immigrants regardless of criminal history. In fact, shortly after DACA was
implemented Judicial Watch reported that federal immigration officers were actually
ordered to release illegal aliens arrested for violent crimes as long as they
claimed to be “Dreamers”—protected by DACA—who came to the U.S. as children.
Officials at separate front-line agencies of the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS)—ICE and the U.S. Border Patrol—were so infuriated that that they
made the shocking directive pubic. Both are longtime federal agents and union
heads who represent thousands of immigration officers around the country. They
confirmed that Illegal immigrants are essentially running the show, avoiding
detention by exploiting the Obama administration’s controversial DACA plan,
which is expected to spare nearly 1 million young illegal immigrants (so-called
“dreamers”) from deportation.

Illegal immigration has a particularly disastrous effect on the employment of
black Americans and disproportionately impacts the wages and work opportunities
of African-American men, according to a member of the United States Commission
on Civil Rights.
In a letter to President Obama, the commissioner, Peter
Kirsanow, blasts the administration’s plans to grant legal status and work
authorization to millions of illegal immigrants.
Kirsanow is an African-American
lawyer with an Ivy League degree who also sits on the National Labor Relations
Board and the Center for New Black Leadership. He is a presidential appointment
to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights which was established by Congress in 1957
to enhance enforcement of federal civil rights laws. The agency has eight
commissioners, four appointed by the president and four by Congress. They serve
six-year terms and play a vital role in advancing civil rights through objective
and comprehensive investigation, research and analysis.
“Any grant of legal status will serve as a magnet to prospective illegal
immigrants and further depress employment opportunities and wages for
African-Americans,” Kirsanow writes to the president. “Given that the labor
force participation rate is at a historic low, the unemployment rate is 6.2
percent and there has been a precipitous decline in household wealth, the timing
for such a grant of legal status could not be worse.”
The veteran civil rights
commissioner cites expert testimony and research conducted by his agency in the
last few years to back up his words.
As an example Kirsanow tells the president about a 2008 commission briefing
to address the impact of illegal immigration on the wages and employment
opportunities of African-Americans. Despite ideological diversity, a number of
well-regarded scholars from leading universities and independent groups
acknowledged that “illegal immigration has a discernible negative effect on
black employment,” Kirsanow confirms.
This is because illegal immigrants and
blacks are disproportionately low skilled and often compete for the same jobs,
according to one scholar cited by the commissioner. Other research has found
that illegal immigrants had displaced U.S. citizens in industries that had
traditionally employed large numbers of African-Americans, such as
meatpacking.
“Granting legal status to millions of people who are in the United States
illegally will continue to depress the wages and employment opportunities of
African-American men and teenagers,” Kirsanow writes.
“It will also depress the
wages and employment opportunities of African-Americans going forward. The civil
rights commissioner goes on to blast the commander-in-chief for igniting the
recent flood of illegal immigration by granting legal status to those living in
the U.S. illegally.“When you incentivize bad behavior, you get more of it,”
Kirsanow tells Obama.
The civil rights commissioner also slams the president with one of his
administration’s favorite arguments on behalf of minority civil rights. It’s
called disparate impact on the basis of national origin and Kirsanow asserts
amnesty will constitute an unlawful discrimination because it will
disproportionately benefit a particular group—Mexicans and Central Americans—and
disproportionately disadvantage other ethnic groups.
This would be considered a
violation of Title VII, Kirsanow writes referring to the section of the 1964
Civil Rights Act. Here’s another great point that few have bothered to bring up;
an executive order granting amnesty is unfair to people who are attempting to
immigrate legally, the commissioner reminds.
