  • Did Naval Burial Ceremony for Bin Laden Curse Jews and Christians, and Confer Pardon and Paradise on the Muslim Mass Murderer?(AmericanThinker).Anneke Green has a disturbing analysis in the Washington Times which indicates the very likely specifics of the burial ceremony aboard the USS Carl Vinson -- repeatedly noted by witless counter-terrorism czar John Brennan to be in strict "conformance to Islamic requirements" -- for pious Muslim jihadist Osama Bin Laden, orchestrator of the mass murder of Americans on 9/11/2001.

But what Green's discussion omits is that before this supplication, the required prayer service (see p. 34) includes the opening sura (chapter) of the Koran, or "Fatiha". As copiously documented by the most authoritative Muslim Koranic commentaries -- past and present -- verse 1.7 from this sura includes an eternal curse upon Jews and Christians, as noted in this official modern Koranic translation by Drs. Muhammad al-Hilali and Muhammad Khan (p.12):
"The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians)."

As the Koranic commentary Tafsir al-Jalalayn explains, Muslims are told in the verse preceding Koran 1:6,
"Guide us on the straight path" means, direct us to it.
The commentary continues, It is followed by its appositive [in verse 7], "...the Path of those You have blessed," with guidance, "not of those with anger on them," who are the Jews, "nor of the misguided,"who are the Christians. The grammatical structure here shows that those who are guided are not the Jews or the Christians. Allah Almighty knows best what is correct, and to Him is the return and the homecoming. May Allah bless our Master Muhammad and His family and Companions and grant them abundant peace always and forever. Allah is enough for us and the best Protector. There is no strength nor power except by Allah, the High, the Immense.
The modern Koranic commentary Ma'ariful Qur'an, written by Maulana Mufti Muhammad Shafi (1898-1976), former Grand Mufti of (pre-Partition) India, and founder of Darul Ulum Karachi, is the best known Koranic commentary in Urdu. This modern Koranic exegesis comports with the classical commentary on verse 1:7, highlighting the Koran's strident antisemitism, and accompanying Christianophobia:
Those who have incurred Allah's wrath are the people, who in spite of being quite familiar with the commandments of Allah willfully go against them out of a calculated perversity or in the service of their desires, or, in other words, who are deficient in obeying divine injunctions. This, for example, was the general condition of the Jews who were ready to sacrifice their religion for the sake of a petty worldly gain, and used to insult and sometimes even to kill their prophets.
As for (those who go astray), they are the people who, out of ignorance or lack of thought, go beyond the limits appointed by Allah, and indulge in excess and exaggeration in religious matters. This, for example, has generally been the error of the Christians who exceededthe limits in their reverence for a prophet and turned him into a god. On the one hand, there is the rebelliousness of the Jews who not only refused to listen to the prophets of Allah but went on to kill them; on the other hand, there is the excessive zeal of the Christians who deified a prophet.
There is more than ample reason that the Navy Military Funerals protocol was indeed followed -- a logical inference, which at any rate should be confirmed or denied by release of the reported video footage of Bin Laden's "ceremonial burial" -- because as Anneke Green notes:
According to the Pentagon, "prepared religious remarks" were read at bin Laden's funeral, but when asked whether his burial was performed according to Navy Military Funeral protocol, they had "no additional operational details or comments to make." Mr. Brennan, however, in his Monday briefing on the bin Laden operation, reassured reporters that, "Burial at sea takes place on a regular basis. The U.S. military has the ability to ensure that that burial is done in a manner that is, again, consistent with Islamic law, as well as consistent with what the requirements are for a burial at sea. And so that burial was done appropriately."The grotesque dhimmitude in these apparent details -- so destructive of our nation's soul, in accord with the fundamental goal of Islamic supremacism -- defies speech, and demands a thorough public airing for all Americans, first and foremost those whose family members were slaughtered during the 9/11/2001 acts of jihad terrorism. Thomas Lifson adds:
Since the Navy is likely to be reluctant to go into details, and Obama administration officials equally reticent about the specifics, a House investigation is called for into the funeral rites performed over and honors accorded America's worst enemy of the century.Hmmmmm......Can we impeach him then?Read the full story here.

  • Hey...hey you ...yes you ..The patriot! Is the Obama regime Checking on You?(Cato).Record Number of Americans Targeted by National Security Letters.By Julian Sanchez. The latest report to Congress on the Justice Department’s use of foreign intelligence surveillance powers has just been released, and it shows a truly stunning increase in the number of Americans whose sensitive phone, Internet, and banking records were obtained by the FBI — without judicial oversight — pursuant to National Security Letters. In 2009, a total of 14,788 NSL requests were issued targeting U.S. persons — a number that excludes requests for “basic subscriber information” as opposed to phone or e-mail logs — and 6,114 different Americans were affected by those demands for information. In 2010, the number of NSL requests targeting Americans rose to 24,287,nearly double of 2009.What’s really shocking, however, is the number of people affected. A whopping 14,212 American citizens and permanent residents had records of their financial, telephone, and online activity seized last year. The previous record, set in 2005, was 9,475. Were you one of those 14,212? If so, what did the FBI get? Thanks to the gag orders that come with NSLs, you will almost certainly never get to find out. But even if the Bureau decides there’s no reason to continue investigating you, whatever data they obtained — lists of phone numbers, credit card purchases, financial transactions, e-mail correspondents, or IP addresses visited — are likely to remain in a massive government database indefinitelyThis pattern suggests that the Bureau is doing broader but shallower investigation — sweeping more people into the information vacuum, but issuing fewer requests per person, presumably because the results of the initial request provide few grounds for further scrutiny. Needless to say, the overwhelming majority of those people are not terrorists — and, indeed, are probably guilty of nothing more than a second- or third-degree connection to the subject of an investigation. Remember, as expiring Patriot Act provisions come up for reauthorization at the end of this month: These tools are fundamentally not about spying on terrorists. The government has always had ample power to do that. They’re about authority to spy on the innocent.Hmmmm.....So who's the Obama regime spying on?Read the full story here.

  • Former Bush Adviser Andrew Card 'Obama Has Pounded His Chest a Little Too Much'.(Spiegel).Andrew Card served as the White House chief of staff for the first five years of George W. Bush's presidency. In a SPIEGEL interview, Card speaks about Bush's failed efforts to get bin Laden, how President Obama "has pounded his chest a bit too much" and why it's OK to celebrate a terrorist's death.
SPIEGEL: You are the man who whispered into then-President George W. Bush's ear in an elementary school on Sept. 11, 2001 that a second plane had just crashed into the World Trade Center. Those words were the beginning of a relentless hunt for Osama bin Laden. Where were you last Sunday, May 2, when the world learned bin Laden was dead?
Andrew Card: I was at a reading at the Ford Theater in Washington. I am coming out, and my BlackBerry is going crazy. I had no idea what was going on. And then I get an e-mail saying, "USA! USA! USA!" Then I get the next e-mail, saying that Osama bin Laden has been killed.
SPIEGEL: Did you talk to President Bush?
Card: We exchanged e-mails. The response I got from him, which was at 5:44 a.m. his time, in Texas, said: "Great day!" That's all it said. He is very efficient.
SPIEGEL: At the beginning of the war in Iraq, you reassigned many experts. Did President Bush set any priorities higher than the hunt for bin Laden?
Card: He had many top priorities, but I honestly do not believe that the president neglected the hunt for bin Laden. People we moved out were replaced. I think there was a dedicated team whose job it was to wake up every day and say: "Where is Osama bin Laden today?"
SPIEGEL: But now President Obama is the big winner…
Card: I think he has pounded his chest a little too much. He can take pride in it, but he does not need to show it so much.
SPIEGEL: He didn't appear triumphant while announcing bin Laden's death.
Card: I thought his statement was subdued, but I think his schedule is not subdued. Personally, I think it is premature to go to Ground Zero, in New York. I think my role model in this would be George H. W. Bush, when the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. It was a day to celebrate, but we did not dance on the Wall.Read the full story here.

  • Issa Calls Holder to Account, how bad does Project Gunrunner get?(PajamasMedia)On May 3, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) managed to haul Attorney General Eric Holder in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where he is the chairman, to discuss “Project Gunrunner.”Project Gunrunner was the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) operation in which as many as 2,000 firearms were allegedly allowed to walk across the Mexican border in an attempt to track down the “big fish” in the gun trafficking rings — and, presumably, the drug cartels. The attempt not only failed but, according to Issa, resulted in the deaths of two federal agents.Issa had previously subpoenaed documents and personnel from the Department of Justice and from ATF — and was flatly refused.According to a story originally broken by CBS News earlier this year, the operation was designed to allow “straw buyers” (who purchase the weapons for someone else) to buy high quality weapons, including .50 caliber sniper rifles, from cooperating licensed dealers in the U.S. ATF would then track those weapons and hopefully take down the gun-running rings and perhaps the cartels as well. Some of those weapons were allegedly used by criminals to murder Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata. An assertion which Holder said he found “offensive”:
The notion that somehow or another that this Justice Department is responsible for those deaths — that assertion is offensive.
As The Daily Caller reports, a combative Issa fired back:
What if it’s accurate, Mr. Attorney General? What am I going to tell Agent Terry’s mother about how he died at the hand of a gun that was videotaped as it was being sold to a straw purchaser fully expecting it to end up in the hands of drug cartels?Holder will also testify in front of Grassley’s committee — where, presumably, he will also face tough questions. It all comes down to this: how high does this go? Who knew about it, and when did they know it? America needs answers.Hmmmm......Read the full story here.

  • Santorum: Obama doesn't understand America.(PoliticalTicker).Columbia, South Carolina (CNN) – Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum had a ballroom packed with South Carolina Republican insiders all to himself on Friday night when he addressed the state party's annual fundraising banquet in Columbia. Each of the previous night's presidential debate participants were invited to speak at the Silver Elephant Banquet, but only Santorum accepted, giving him a precious chance to court an influential crowd of GOP donors, legislators and activists in the early primary state."Half of life is just showing up," Santorum cracked after he took the stage. "So I'm glad I showed up tonight."Santorum, who created a presidential exploratory committee earlier this week, pressed what is likely to be a central rhetorical theme of his campaign: American exceptionalism."We have a president who does not understand what American exceptionalism is," he said.He faulted President Obama for telling an audience last month that America "would not be a great country" without the entitlement programs of Social Security and Medicare."Stunning," Santorum said. "America was born great. The president of the United States doesn't understand who we are."He spoke of how the British Empire faded because "they accepted the mediocrity of state control." "We face that moment right now," he said. "It is our watch right now."Hmmm.....The most 'un american' president evah!Read the full story here.

  • Bowles: Obama’s Plan ‘Doesn’t Stabilize the Debt’.(NationalReview).Former Clinton chief of staff and deficit commission co-chair Erskine Bowles explains the folly of President Obama’s budget “framework” as outlined in his April 13 speech at George Washington University:BOWLES: It is $4 trillion, however, over 12 years. It is heavily back-end loaded, so when you compare it to the Ryan plan and to the Commission’s plan, which also has $4 trillion in savings, it is probably more like $2.5 trillion. And in fairness, the way it is setup, according to our analysis, it really doesn’t stabilize the debt, and the debt as a percentage of GDP gets up to around 77 percent and it never gets to primary balance, which is about a deficit-to-GDP ratio of around 3 percent.Hmmmm.....Another 'Obamination'.Read and see the full story here.

  • Gaddafi planes 'destroy Misurata fuel tanks'.(Al-Jazeera).Libyan government forces dropped bombs on four large oil storage tanks in the contested western city of Misurata, destroying the tanks and sparking a fire that spread to four more, a rebel spokesman said on Saturday.Government forces used small, pesticides spraying planes for the overnight attack in Qasr Ahmed close to the port, said spokesman Ahmed Hassan.Rebels notified NATO about the planes before the attack but there was no response, he said.Government forces last month flew at least one helicopter reconnaissance mission over Misurata, according to rebels.Misurata is the last remaining city in the east under rebel control. It has been under siege for more than two months and has witnessed some of the war's fiercest fighting between loyalists and rebels."Four tanks were totally destroyed and huge fire erupted which spread now to the other four. We cannot extinguish it because we do not have the right tools," Ahmed Hassan said."Now the city will face a major problem. Those were the only source of fuel for the city. These tanks could have kept the city for three months with enough fuel," he said by telephone.Read the full story here.

  • New footage emerges of bin Laden compound.Al Jazeera has obtained new footage of the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed.(Al-Jazeera).The pictures show the interiors of the house where the al-Qaeda leader is thought to have been hiding for up to six years.Filmed during daylight hours, there is no doubt that this is the house where bin Laden was shot and killed by US forces, Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab said, reporting from the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. It was not immediately clear how long after the raid that the footage was taken."We can see the exteriors of the house; we see a garden where vegetables were grown. We see an area where animals were being raised - possible clues of how the people who lived within the high walls of this compound managed to sustain themselves with very little interaction with the outside world," our correspondent said."These pictures ... give a sense of just how Osama bin Laden - the world's most wanted fugitive - lived relatively undetected right here in Abbottabad."US forces raided the compound in a covert operation on Sunday, killing bin Laden and four others. The US team then quickly swept the compound for useful intelligence, making off with a cache of computer equipment and documents. Our correspondent said Pakistani forces have been in charge of the house since the US operation."They, presumably, have taken with them what they deemed important as well," Tyab said.Read and see the full story here.

  • 29 Senators Ask Obama to End All U.S. Aid to The Palestinian Authority if Hamas Joins Government.(The Cable) — 29 U.S. senators have asked President Barack Obama Friday to cut off aid to the Palestinian government if it joins with Hamas, in a previously unreported letter (PDF) obtained by The Cable.“The decision of Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas to form a unity government with Hamas – a designated terrorist group – threatens to derail the Middle East peace effort for the foreseeable future and to undermine the Palestinian Authority’s relationship with the United States,” begins the letter, which was spearheaded by Sens. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Robert Casey (D-PA).Menendez is the third ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Casey chairs SFRC’s Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs subcommittee. The letter was also signed by Democratic heavyweights Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI), the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-HI), who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee.House Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) agrees. “No taxpayer funds should go, they must not go” to the new Palestinian unity government, she told theWashington Post May 4.Hmmmm....Knowing Hussein his love for Palestine he will ignore the Senators.Or find another way to fund them?Read the full story here.

  • Erdogan's buddy in big trouble?Iranian crowd in the mosque chants “Death to opponents of the supreme leader!” (NYTimes). The unprecedented power struggle between the two most powerful leaders in Iran deepened Friday, spilling out into Tehran’s public prayers where the mullah leading the service indirectly criticized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad while the crowd chanted “Death to opponents of the supreme leader!”Even before the chants at Friday Prayer, a signature event since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, important conservative factions had pronounced their support for the supreme leader, including the government’s primary enforcers, the Revolutionary Guards. Ayatollah Khamenei’s infallibility was the subject of Friday Prayer in at least half a dozen large cities besides Tehran, according to media reports. “It is quite astounding in a way where on a daily basis people are coming out and saying that Khamenei has the constitutional right and the religious right to do what he wants to do,” said Farideh Farhi, an Iran expert at the University of Hawaii. “Ahmadinejad has effectively lost the support of the base. If you do not have the support of Khamenei, you are nobody.” Under Iranian law, the president has the right to hire and fire cabinet ministers, Iran experts said. But the supreme leader, as the title suggests, is the nation’s ultimate authority. Last December, Mr. Ahmadinejad unceremoniously dumped Manouchehr Mottaki, the foreign minister and a Khamenei ally, while Mr. Mottaki was on a mission to Senegal. He has also replaced the intelligence minister before, but this time Ayatollah Khamenei intervened to protect what he called the “maslahat,” or public interest. But in a video posted online, a Parliament member quoted Mr. Ahmadinejad as telling him that the supreme leader issued an ultimatum to accept the decision or resign.Government opponents accuse the Intelligence Ministry of rigging the election that won Mr. Ahmadinejad a second term, a power Mr. Khamenei may not have wanted him to have again, analysts said. In another conjecture, the supreme leader’s son, Mujtabah Khamenei, who heads intelligence for the Revolutionary Guards, is said to have designs on the ministry. Whatever the reason, the supreme leader has made his wishes clear. This week, his office released pictures of a religious ceremony with Mr. Ahmadinejad conspicuously absent while Mr. Moslehi sat close by.Hmmmm......First they sell your car ,next you get a tie on the beach?Read the full story here.

  • Ahmadinejad to face the wrath of 'the Supreme leader'?Row with Khamenei intensifies.(Al-Jazeera). Iranian president said to be considering resignation after intelligence chief he fired was reinstated by supreme leader.A political dispute between Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the country's supreme leader is reported to have intensified.Ahmadinejad is said to be contemplating resigning after Heidar Moslehi, the intelligence minister he had sacked, was reinstated by Khamenei. The president is understood to have shirked some of his duties and skipped cabinet meetings for the past ten days in anger over the decision.Mehrdad Khonsari, an analyst with the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies in London, told Al Jazeera on Friday that the dispute, which began last month, had become "serious"."It shows the level of disunity at the very top of the Iranian [political] hierarchy [with] Ahmadinejad having already polarised the internal political scene as a result of fraudulent election results that were announced more than 20 months ago," Khonsari said."He is now beginning to encroach on the powers and privileges vested in the supreme leader, and he and his constituency - mainly among the Revolutionary Guards - have tried to do this."And, of course, the supreme leader has tried to make a stand and in this stand he has been joined by many people from the ruling establishment who have been cast aside by Ahmadinejad."Khonsari said that since the president came to power "powerful people like [Akbar Hashemi] Rafsanjani and ... [Mohammed] Khatami and many of the key reformers as well as the president of the current Council of Experts" have been sidelined."This is quite a standoff," he said. "Ahmadinejad, I think, at this particular time, has bitten more than he can chew and has been forced to essentially step back, but the fact [remains] that both he and the supreme leader are damaged as a result of this conflict."Khonsari said upheavals in some Middle Eastern countries could spread to Iran if the rift continued."You have to bear in mind that what we're witnessing in the Middle East all started with events in Iran some 20 months ago. Iran is not immune from the global acts ... we're witnessing as a result of this Arab awakening," he said."People in Iran are conscious there are grave economic issues; grave foreign policy issues confronting the Ahmadinejad government and the last thing he needs is to be in disarray with the supreme leader in a fight over a situation that's totally impervious to the wishes and aspirations of the general majority."There's no question in the minds of Iranians that this is going to be a very hot summer coming up."Hmmmmm.........Read the full story here.

  • Syrian tanks storm Sunni districts.(Ynet).A day after Syrian security forces kill 30 protesters, army units encircle city of Banias, advance into Sunni districts but not Alawite neighborhoods. 'Residents reporting sound of heavy gunfire, seeing Syrian navy boats off Banias coast,' says resident. Protesters form human chains in bid to stop tanks. Syrian army units stormed into the city of Banias with tanks overnight, attacking Sunni districts that had defied President Bashar Assad's autocratic rule, a human rights campaigner said on Saturday. The units entered the coastal city, a majority of whose residents are Sunni Muslims, from three directions, advancing into Sunni districts but not Alawite neighborhoods, said the campaigner. Most communications with Banias have been cut but the campaigner was able to contact some residents, he said.Assad belongs to the minority Alawite sect, an offshoot of Shiite Islam, and Alawites occupy most senior positions in the army and security apparatus. "Residents are reporting the sound of heavy gunfire and seeing Syrian navy boats off the Banias coast. Sunni and mixed neighborhoods are totally besieged now," said the rights campaigner, who did not want to be identified.Al-Jazeera network reported on Saturday that electricity and phone lines were cut. According to the report, protesters resisted the tanks by forming human chains.Military forces also encircled the nearby town of Baida, while an army boat patrolled offshore, eyewitness told al-Jazeera.A protest leader said earlier this week that Syrian forces and gunmen loyal to Assad had moved on Tuesday into areas of central Banias that had been under the control of pro-democracy demonstrators for weeks. In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the US was pressing the Syrian government to cease "violence against innocent citizens who are simply demonstrating and trying to state their aspirations for a more democratic future." "The United States believes that Syria's deplorable actions toward its people warrant a strong international response," White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement."Absent significant change in the Syrian government's current approach, including an end to the government's killing of protesters ... the United States and its international partners will take additional steps to make clear our strong opposition to the Syrian government's treatment of its people," he added. The United States imposed sanctions of its own last week against some figures in the Syrian government.Hmmmm......But yes Asad is a 'reformer' i'm wondering if this is the codeword for Anti - Jewish these days?Read the full story here.

  • Muslim Brotherhood to Obama : "Go to Hell".(Ikwanweb).Egyptian Government Rejects US Conditional Aid. Egypt has officially rejected conditional US aid worth USD 150 million in light of US economic support to Egypt, helping it overcome its economic woes and support the process of democratization in the post-January 25 revolution.Egypt has officially rejected conditional US aid worth USD 150 million in light of US economic support to Egypt, helping it overcome its economic woes and support the process of democratization in the post-January 25 revolution. The US embassy in Cairo has received a formal letter from the Egyptian Foreign Minister that the Egyptian government rejects US conditions on aid and unilateral coercive economic measures by the US Agency for International Development.Egyptian minister of planning and international cooperation Fayza Aboulnaga and Finance Minister Samir Radwan visited Washington last month, asking the US to cancel a debt amounting to about $3.6 billion to help the country's new government restore growth and create jobs for young people, but Washington refused. The cabinet says the US aid is unnecessary and rejects US unilateral resolutions with regard to the US direct funding assistance mainly to the Egyptian private sector, Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and NGOs, arguing social justice is one of the more prominent roles that the country and businessmen should be committed to.They added that it was one of the core demands of the January.25th Revolution.Hmmmm....Seems like that 'new Arab wind' just blew you away Mr President?Read the full story here.

  • MB: Bin Laden is not Islam and resistance against oppression is legitimate.(Ikhwanweb). According to a statement issued by Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood while Islam denounces violence and terrorism it believes it was not necessary to resort to assassination stressing a fair trial of any criminal whatever the crime would have sufficed.Following the US president ‘s announcement that a special US marines task force killed Al-Qaeda leader Ossama Bin Laden we find that we are facing a new situation.According to a statement issued by Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood while Islam denounces violence and terrorism it believes it was not necessary to resort to assassination stressing a fair trial of any criminal whatever the crime would have sufficed. It is on this note that the MB calls on the Western world, its people and governments to not link Islam with terrorism, and to correct the erroneous image which has been created in this regard. The MB however confirms its belief that there is a difference between combat and resistance stressing that combating violence is necessary however each country has its right as stipulated in international conventions guaranteed by divine laws to defend itself against oppression against innocent people as is the case of the Palestinian people and Israel’s Zionists.Ending its statement the group cites that so long as occupation remains resistance is legitimate and it calls on the United States, NATO and the EU to end the occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq, and recognize the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.Furthermore the MB calls on the US to end its intelligence operations and to cease from interfering in the internal affairs of any Arab or Muslim country.Hmmmm....The 'people' the Obama regime pledged 1,57 Billion dollar in 2012.Read the full story here.
