- Obama announces total Iraq troop withdrawal.(Progressive).Even if President Obama withdraws all our troops, the United States would still have tens of thousands of private contractors there, along with a huge embassy. Last February, Congress authorized the State Department to increase its embassy staff in Iraq to 17,000. This is by far the largest contingency of American embassy personnel in the world. The embassy compound is actually an enclosed and fully functioning city within Baghdad. Embassy staff will also be placed at five additional locations across Iraq, and the embassy will operate 24 helicopters and 19 planes.Hmmm......I wonder how Sayyid Muqtadā al-Ṣadr feels about this? - Progressives, Islamists huddle at Justice Department.(DailyCaller).Top Justice Department officials convened a meeting Wednesday where invited Islamic advocates lobbied them for cutbacks in anti-terror funding, changes in agents’ training manuals, additional curbs on investigators and a legal declaration that U.S. citizens’ criticism of Islam constitutes racial discrimination. The department’s “civil rights lawyers are top of the line — I say this with utter honesty — I know they can come up with a way” to redefine criticism as discrimination, said Sahar Aziz, a female, Egyptian-American lawyer.“I’d be willing to give a shot at it,” said Aziz, who is a fellow at the Michigan-based Muslim advocacy group, the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding. The audience of Islamic advocates and department officials included Tom Perez, who heads the department’s division of civil rights.“We must continue to have the open and honest and critical dialogue that you saw in the robust debate,” Perez responded in an enthusiastic closing speech a few minutes after Aziz made her demands at the event.“I sat here the entire time, taking notes,” Perez said. “I have some very concrete thoughts … in the aftermath of this.”The meeting at George Washington University showcased the expanding alliance between American progressives and Islamists, said Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor in New York.Progressives “are making these Islamist groups into the [political] representatives of Muslims in the United States,” he told The Daily Caller. That elevation of Islamists to a leadership role sidelines the majority of American Muslims who don’t want Islamist leaders, as well as American Muslims who are female or gay, he said.McCarthy investigated and prosecuted Egyptian-born Imam Omar Abdel-Rahman, dubbed “the blind sheik,” for urging Muslims to kill New Yorkers. Abdel-Rahman was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996.Progressives ally with the Islamic lobby because “they think it will be a political voting bloc that will be reliably Democratic,” said Robert Spencer, an author and expert on Islam.Justice Department officials declined to comment to The Daily Caller. When the session ended, Perez — a Maryland resident, a progressive and a former staffer to Sen. Ted Kennedy — climbed the stage to embrace Imam Magid, who was born in Sudan and trained at a Saudi fundamentalist seminary.Read the full story here.
- Obama: Those Behind Fast and Furious ‘Will Be Held Accountable’; Congress: ‘Prove It’.(BigGovernment).On Tuesday, October 18th, President Obama told ABC News’ Jake Tapper that those who were responsible for Fast and Furious “will be held accountable.” Obama Added: “It’s very upsetting to me to think that somebody showed such bad judgment that they would allow something like that to happen. And we will find out who and what happened in this situation and make sure it gets corrected.”However, this statement only comes after months of obfuscation by Obama, where both he and Attorney General Eric Holder have basically tried to convince us they didn’t know anything about Fast and Furious until CBS News started reporting on it. Thus the House members investigating Fast and Furious are asking Obama to put his money where his mouth is on this one.For example, Congressmen Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Trey Gowdy (R-SC) sent a letter to Obama asking him to clarify his own knowledge of Fast and Furious . They want to know when the President learned about the operation and when he learned about the investigation into the operation. Chaffetz and Gowdy also asked Obama to lean a bit on Holder, to ensure that the Attorney General appears before Congress to give further testimony on Fast and Furious. Thus, after referencing the apparent timeline conflict we’ve all detected in Holder’s Fast and Furious alibi, Congressman Chaffetz wrote: “We’re looking for answers. I hope Mr. Holder will come before the Congress and clear up this glaring discrepancy. We have a number of questions for Mr. Holder to answer.”(Don’t you know the words – “we have a number of questions for Mr. Holder to answer” – reverberate in the AG’s mind as he tries to sleep at night?). Additionally, Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA), a former U.S. Attorney, has sent a letter directly to Holder, in which he writes: “I urge you to appear because in this serious and tragic case, we do owe it to the American people to conduct a thorough investigation and conduct responsible, proper oversight.” The bottom line: pressure is being applied to both Obama and Holder to come clean on this operation. To date, their stories are not believable, and Obama’s pledge to discover who was behind Fast and Furious and hold them “accountable” is simply not trustworthy.Chaffetz, Gowdy, and Meehan are but three of the growing number of House members who are sick and tired of getting the run around on this operation. And as the chorus of Congressional voices demanding answers expands, Obama and Holder have fewer and fewer places left to hide.Obama promised that those responsible for Fast and Furious would be held accountable. We’re waiting for that to happen and we won’t be satisfied until it does.Hmmmm......Hear, hear!Read the full story here.
- Illustrated: Inside the Obama 2008 Money-Laundering Machine - A MUST READ !(DougRoss).A year in advance of the momentous 2012 elections, it's worth revisiting the 2008 campaign that brought Barack Obama to power. In particular, the Obama campaign took an unprecedented series of steps to allow illegal campaign contributions and electronic money laundering.
Imagine a campaign website that intentionally turned off all credit-card security, which allowed the entry of fake names and addresses for donations. Obama's 2008 fundraising website intentionally allowed this to occur.
Imagine a campaign that accepted made-up credit-card numbers, which were probably tried one after another until valid card numbers were found. Obama's 2008 fundraising website intentionally allowed this to occur.
Or a campaign that retained forged computer addresses for its donations instead of the addresses of the real donors. Obama's 2008 fundraising website intentionally allowed this to occur.
Or a campaign that accepted untraceable prepaid cash cards that could easily have been used to evade contribution limits or mask contributor identities. Obama's 2008 fundraising website intentionally allowed this to occur.
Or a campaign that secretly shared donor lists with Project Vote and ACORN, the latter a group reportedly under a RICO investigation for multi-state vote fraud involving hundreds of thousands of fraudulent registrations and other misdeeds. Obama's 2008 fundraising operation allegedly did just that.
Now imagine hundreds of millions of dollars in undisclosed, suspect donations orchestrated by foreign nationals and other persons unknown. Obama's 2008 fundraising website intentionally allowed this sort of activity to occur.Roughly two-thirds of Barack Obama’s record haul derived from a website that intentionally disabled all security checks that prevent basic fraud. In other words, his website facilitated crooked donations complete with fake names, phony addresses, no donation limits, untraceable cards and bogus computer addresses. Let me repeat that last point. The Obama campaign's website intentionally allowed the use of fake computer addresses (known in the tech world as IP addresses). In my opinion, there is only one reason a website would allow the submission of a fake IP address: money-laundering. Logging of the true IP address would mean that the real source (including the city and country) of the contribution could be traced. Allowing a fake address to be logged instead would prevent authorities from ascertaining the true origin of the donation. These deliberate steps permitted the Obama campaign to accept illegal co-mingled funds, illegal foreign contributions and illegal structured donations. In 2012, I urge you to be on the look-out for this kind of diabolical rule-breaking as a desperate Democrat Party scrabbles to hold onto power.Hmmmm........"Yes We CAN and YES WE DID......... GET AWAY WITH IT!"Read and see the full story here.
- Obama Administration Does it Again!: Empowers Largely Islamist Leadership for Syrian Revolution.(DocsTalk)By Barry Rubin. The leadership of the Syrian revolution, or at least those who are recognized as such abroad, has released the names of 19 of the 29 members of the General Secretariat and five members of the Presidential Council. A lot of research should be one done on the individuals but let’s do a quick ethnic and political analysis based on this information. But first let me give you my analysis: I believe that the Turkish Islamist regime deliberately helped produce a Syrian leadership that is more Islamist and more Muslim Brotherhood controlled than was necessary. Since Turkey's government was empowered to do this by the Obama Administration, the White House is responsible for this extremely dangerous situation. It is a blunder or a betrayal--in effect, the motive and cause don't matter--of the greatest dimensions. The Obama Administration may "only" have paved the way for the triumph of Islamist regimes in Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia--we don't yet know the final result--but it has been actively involved in helping promote an (avoidable) Islamist revolution in Syria. Of the 19 members of the committee whose names have been published, 4 are identified as Muslim Brotherhood and 6 more as independent Islamists. That means 10 of the 19—a majority—and hence 10 of the 15 Sunni Muslim Arabs (two-thirds) are Islamists!Of the non-Islamist Sunni Arabs, two are leftists, two are liberals, and one represents the tribes. Thanks, Obama Administration, for putting Islamist Turkey in charge of the negotiations! There are also two Christians (one a representative of the small Assyrian community), one Druze, and one Kurd. So that 40 percent of the non-Sunni Arab population (there are no Alawites listed) has only 20 percent representation. This might partly be due to the walk-out of many Kurds to protest the Turkish bias favoring the Islamists. But the over-representation of Sunni Arabs sends a signal to the minority groups as well as helps empower Islamists.Of course, it is true that 10 members remain anonymous because they are in side Syria but there’s no particular reason to believe they are of a different composition. To my knowledge, not a single journalist or expert in the entire world has yet used this publicly available information and done the simple math involved.Note that the Presidential Council is much more balanced with only one Islamist, and the remaining names include a leftist, a liberal, a Christian and a Kurd. This seems, however, to be more for show to conceal the imbalance in the overall leadership.Again, this doesn’t necessarily mean the actual leadership is highly Islamist, but it does indicate that the official leadership, chosen with U.S. participation, is far more balanced with only one Islamist. Now, with your permission, I will have a brief angry outburst: Those fools in the U.S. government helped produce an official leadership that is highly Islamist, perhaps much more so than the actual participants. Might not U.S. interests require pushing for genuine moderates to lead? After all, these are the people likely to get Western money and assistance. When it had a choice, the Obama Administration preferred to empower the enemies of America and the West. (Shall I add, once again?)One more time, this list isn’t a clear indication of the composition of those fighting in Syria yet it suggests that U.S. policy prefers to help enemies take power in Syria when it could have very easily done otherwise.Hmmmm.......Since when does Turkey dictate US Foreign policy?Read the full story here.

DISHonor Killing'- “God’s curse on them . . . may the devil shit on their graves,” (NationalPost).Kingston , Ont. — In the days after Mohammad Shafia’s three daughters died, he spoke privately to family about how they had dishonoured him by consorting with boys, jurors at his murder trial were told Thursday.“God’s curse on them . . . may the devil shit on their graves,” Shafia said, in a conversation with his second wife, Tooba, and son, Hamed, that was secretly recorded by police. “Is that what a daughter should be? Would (a daughter) be such a whore?”Prosecutor Laurie Lacelle revealed the excerpt from a wiretap during an hour and a half opening address to the six-man, six-woman jury. The cavernous room of Kingston’s 153-year-old limestone courthouse was full with dozens of journalists and roughly 100 spectators, as Canada’s first ever mass honour killing case began to unspool in public for the first time.Shafia, 58, Tooba, 41, and Hamed, 20, are accused of killing Zainab, 19, Sahar, 17, Geeti, 13, and Rona Amir Mohammad, 52, who was Shafia’s first wife. The four members of the Afghan family were found dead in a car discovered submerged in a shallow canal in Kingston on June 30, 2009.Jurors were told that they will hear evidence about the ancient cultural practice of honour killing, in which the chastity and obedience of female family members is paramount. In some cases, families believe the only way to cleanse shame and restore honour is to kill offending women.Lacelle told the jurors that police planted a listening device in a Shafia vehicle on July 18 and recorded several conversations in which Shafia complained to his wife and son that his daughters had turned bad. They wore revealing clothes and makeup. Zainab ran way from home in May of 2009 and demanded permission to marry her Pakistani boyfriend. The two other daughters wanted to leave home to get way from an oppressive and abusive environment.“It was all treason, they committed treason from beginning to the end,” Lacelle said, quoting Shafia from another wiretap. “They betrayed humankind; they betrayed Islam; they betrayed our religion and creed; they betrayed our tradition; they betrayed everything.”“He said, even if they hoist me up onto the gallows, nothing is more dear to me than my honour,” Lacelle said, recounting Shafia’s words. “Let’s leave our destiny to god and may god never make me, you or your mother honourless.”Lacelle revealed that police seized a laptop computer from the family’s home in Montreal. It was registered to Shafia but used by his son Hamed. Forensic experts found evidence of a Google search 10 days before the deaths.“The words entered were: ‘Where to commit a murder,’ ” Lacelle said. A few weeks earlier there had been a search on the computer for, “Can a prisoner have control over their real estate,” the prosecutor said.Lacelle said that autopsies on the victims showed that they drowned, though experts could not determine when they drowned. Toxicology tests did not find any evidence of any incapacitating substances in the bodies of the victims. Three of the victims had fresh bruises on the crowns of their heads. Lacelle offered no explanation for the injuries.Only one witness appeared Thursday, Kingston police Const. Julia Moore, an identification officer who collected evidence and took photos at the scene. Moore explained that the car in which the victims were found, a Nissan Sentra, was in first gear, with the driver’s side window down, the headlights switched off. The two front seats were reclined.Lacelle said the jurors will hear evidence that Tooba and Hamed have both acknowledged in statements that they were at the locks when the Sentra went into the water. In public statements the family made in the days after the deaths, they said that their daughter, Zainab, had taken the car without permission on that night and they did not know how the four ended up dead in the canal. The family had stopped in Kingston early on the morning of June 30 on the way home to Montreal from a family trip to Niagara Falls. They took two rooms at a motel near the locks.Read the full story here, more here.
- Lech Walesa Not Attending #OccupyWallStreet in New York After Discovering Hard-Left Organizers.(BigGovernment).By Adam Andrzejewski. The Polish champion of freedom and liberty, founder of Solidarity, winner of the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize, and first President of modern Poland Lech Walesa had been rumored to possibly be traveling to New York to stand with Occupy Wall Street protesters. Press accounts reporting this “breathless” news had given all of us pause. We suspected that the European news media had filtered out accurate information about the genesis of Occupy Wall Street (OWS).When Walesa’s comments hit the AP wire last week, my team immediately reached out to our Polish contacts. We made the point that the political themes of Occupy Wall Street may have started out with some of the principles that we share, but OWS themes were rapidly being morphed into anti-freedom and anti-liberty messages. At the core is the want for a big, powerful central government to dominate the lives of individual citizens.Using biggovernment.com plus other news sources, rapidly we painted an accurate picture of the groups training, leading, and organizing the “movement.” The movement is organized by anarchists, Code Pink, the American Communist movement, jihadists, anti-Israel, socialist, and anti- free enterprise interests. OWS folks are politically to the left of President Barack Obama. At the Lech Walesa Institute Foundation in Warsaw, they were thankful to receive this information.Based on our discussion and intervention, President Walesa is not going to get involved with the OWS. He is not comfortable with the “organizations” behind the movement. It was not a difficult discussion. The lifetime of good work exercised by President Walesa has lifted people around the world fighting tyranny. Through the Lech Walesa Institute Foundation in Warsaw, Walesa has supported freedom and liberty around the world. As a man primarily responsible for vanquishing communism in Poland, Walesa has a personal bent toward helping the underdog and the downtrodden. This spring, when President Obama visited Poland, President Walesa refused to meet with him.In January of 2010, Lech Walesa endorsed my campaign for Governor of Illinois and made national news when he forewarned… “America is sliding toward socialism.” Last fall, President Walesa came back to Chicago to raise funds for my good government organization, For The Good of Illinois. We held a tremendous event at University Club, Chicago where over four hundred people were in attendance.America is a center-right country politically. The Occupy movement, at its core, is a hard-left movement. If successful, America would cease to be governed on our founding principles of freedom and liberty. Thus, we react to the news that Lech Walesa will not support the OWS movement with much thankfulness.Hmmmm.....When it talks like a Communist and looks like a Communist ...chances are it's a Communist.Read and see the full story here.
- Because we can!(AlexanderMunch).Though, in a subsequent BBC interview, Amin denied knowing that the interview had been coerced, photo evidence shows that standing behind Shalit’s chair as he answered Amin's questions was a man in fatigues, wearing a black face mask and the green headband of the Qassam brigades – Hamas’s military wing – holding a video camera in his hand and No.2 in the Hamas:Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook. Amin claimed that "It's true that he was brought in by armed Hamas men, but in the room itself there were only Egyptian intelligence people. They didn't intervene, and neither did the Hamas men."Read and SEE the full story here.
- Report: Israel, Cyprus to hold joint military exercise.(Ynet).The Turkish media reported Saturday that Israel and Cyprus will hold a joint military exercise next week "as means of sending a message of Turkey," whose diplomatic relations with both nations are currently at an all-time low. According to the Turkish daily Sabah, the two's eastern Mediterranean exercise suffers from "unfortunate timing," as it may cause the already high tensions between both Jerusalem and Nicosia and Ankara to aggravate further.Diplomatic Israeli sources, however, told the Cyprus Mail website that the maneuvers were "a routine exercise between allies," adding that they were devoid of any political message. Still, the Turkish media maintained that Israel and Cyprus wish to relay "a menacing message" to Ankara, following its enhanced military presence in the eastern Mediterranean. Nicosia's Defense Ministry Spokesperson Andreas Tyrimos said that his ministry "is not participating in any exercises.” Turkey is expected to follow the maneuvers – which will see Israeli aircrafts fly out of Greek Cyprus – very closely. The newspaper reported that Defense Minister Ehud Barak and his Cypriot counterpart had agreed on the exercise. Turkish media linked the drill to Turkey's mineral resources dispute with Cyprus, but the latter insists that the upcoming excise was merely a search and rescue one.Hmmmm......What did Obama promise Erdogan as prize for leaving Iran?Read the full story here.
- Turkey - Protesters force Iranian virtuoso off Istanbul stage.(HurriyetDaily).Supporters of the Iranian regime forced Iranian-American violin virtuoso Farid Farjad to leave the stage during a concert Oct. 20 in Istanbul after taking issue with musician’s verbal criticisms of the Islamic republic. The protesters were later escorted out of the concert hall, and Farjad returned to the stage after their removal. Farjad came to Turkey for two concerts, the latest of which was Oct. 20 at Istanbul Kültür University’s Akıngüç Auditorium. Toward the end of the concert, Farjad stopped playing to explain how the regime in Iran had smothered the joy of music in the country. Farjad, who has been living in the United States for 40 years, also said his brother had been sentenced to lashings in Iran. After his commentary, a group of five people shouted at Farjad. Farjad quarreled with them in Persian and left the stage, prompting a translator to explain the incident in Turkish to the audience. The pro-regime group said Iran did not resemble the image illustrated by Farjad. When Farjad returned to the stage after the removal of the pro-regime group, he shared more of his thoughts on Iran’s regime and the current situation in Iran. Farjad said he loved Turkey and wanted to die in Turkey as a Turkish citizen.Read the full story here.
- Turkish finance circles to boycott Reuters over PKK reporting.(TodaysZaman).Turkish banks and other financial institutions will not share commentary with or give statements or interviews to Reuters in protest of the international news agency's refusal to refer to militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) as terrorists, news reports said on Thursday, although their sources weren't clear.Reuters, which defends itself as saying it never uses the word terrorist for any group, refers to PKK militants as “rebels.” The issue has bothered Turkish officials for some time, but this is the first time collective action is being taken in protest in any segment of Turkish society. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the past had criticized both Reuters and the BBC news service for using the word rebel.Turkish news sites and news agencies report that all major banks, whose treasury departments are important for Reuters' daily finance reports, will not share any information with the news agency until Reuters starts using the word terrorist to refer to PKK members. However, no official statements were made by any financial institution or individual.Reuters is the most preferred news source for both foreign and domestic investors for Central Bank of Turkey auctions. Sources unnamed in news reports on Thursday and Friday said the Turkish financial world's refusal to talk to Reuters had not started as an organized protest but that many people joined in after individuals refused to give statements to the agency.Turkish reports said Reuters, which has a categorical ban on the use of the word terrorist, described a bombing by Palestinians in Jerusalem in March of this year as terrorist. However, the word in the news story was in quotation marks and was part of a quote attributed to the Israeli police. Reuters' editorial policy is to only allow the word to be used in quotations.Read the full story here.
- Turkey casts doubt on alleged Iran plot.(HurriyetDaily).NATO member and close U.S. ally Turkey cast doubt on Friday over allegations that Iranian agents plotted to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington, saying it did not believe Iran would be engaged in such an act."We don't believe that Iran would be engaged in such an act, but America says they have evidence," Ahmet Davutoğlu, Turkey's foreign minister, told a joint news conference with his visiting Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi."Governments should be transparent on such issues. Those who make the claims should also be clear about their claims, and Iran should answer to that," Davutoğlu said.Tehran has denied the allegations, saying they are part of a smear campaign. Salehi said it was a "waste of time" to talk about the accusations.Davutoğlu later said in comments to state-run new agency Anatolian that the U.S. allegations were "serious" and urged Iran to be fully transparent."Claims that a country will assassinate another country's ambassador in a third country are very serious and should be handled with care and seriousness," Davutoğlu said."Our advice to our neighbour Iran is to pay attention to the evidence the U.S. has and be helpful with full transparency during the process."The affair has aggravated tensions between the United States and Iran. They have had no relations since Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution and the atmosphere has been poisoned further by Western concerns over Iran's nuclear programme.Davutoğlu called on the United States and Iran to address their differences constructively."What needs to be done now is that all parties involved share what they have and clear the issue without giving way to a further increase in tensions. Turkey is ready to contribute if there is anything we can do to help relieve the tension."Turkish media reported this week that the United States had sent representatives to Turkey to present evidence of the alleged plot and discuss the allegations with Turkish officials.A U.S. embassy spokesman would not comment on the reports. "Our position on this issue is well known," he said.U.S. President Barack Obama has said Iran will face the harshest possible sanctions for the alleged plot and has not ruled out military action. A U.S. grand jury on Thursday formally indicted two men suspected of being part the plot.European Union governments agreed on Friday to impose sanctions on five people linked to the alleged plot, after Britain froze the assets of five men, including the two central suspects.Turkey, which has built up strong trade and political ties over the last years with Iran, has been out of step with the U.S. stance toward Tehran in the past, but it agreed last month to host a radar system for a NATO missile shield programme.Washington has increased pressure on Ankara to enforce sanctions against Iran over Tehran's nuclear activities.Turkey says it observes United Nations sanctions against Iran but says it is not obligated to adhere to a separate set of U.S. and European sanctions.Hmmm........Why am i not surprised.Read the full story here.
- Indian divers trapped in underwater diving chamber.(TheTelegraph).A team of six Indian divers conducting underwater pipeline installation were believed trapped in a diving chamber nearly 200 feet underwater with dwindling oxygen supplies after their support ship sank in the Persian Gulf, Iranian officials said. The divers were among 13 people, including five Iranians and eight non-Iranians, still missing after the Koosha-1, a diving support ship, went down in stormy seas Thursday afternoon, Iran's semi-official Isna news agency reported. Out of 73 people on board, 60 had been rescued, Isna said. The diving chamber was onboard the ship when it sank, but the divers were inside because they stay in the sealed environment to avoid having pressurise and depressurize for their dives."We hope their oxygen has not run out," said Pirouz Mousavi head, of the Pars Energy Zone in southern Iran, quoted by Isna. "We have deployed divers to save those who are trapped in the chamber," which he said was about 180 feet underwater. The chamber can hold 72-hours worth of oxygen, said Z. Hussain, a manager at Adsun Offshore Diving Contractors Pvt Ltd, the Mumbai, India-based firm that employs the divers. But he said he did not know how much supply there was when it went down."The ship sunk in a matter of minutes and the six men in the chamber were trapped underwater," he said. "They've been underwater, it is almost 24 hours," he said.Other rescue teams were searching for the other missing. Mousavi spoke of 13 still missing, with no confirmed deaths, but a local, official, Ahmad Moradi, said the bodies of six had been found, including an Indian and an Ukrainian.Calls to Dubai-based Dulam International that is leading the rescue operation were not immediately returned. The Iran-flagged Koosha-1 had left Thursday from offshore oil rigs near the underwater South Pars gas field, the largest in the world that is shared by both Iran and Qatar. The ship had been involved in installing underwater pipelines. It sank in the Persian Gulf some 15 miles off Iran's coast.Read the full story here.
