Christianity's Historic church St. Sophia in Nicaea, becomes mosque of Nicaea.(Orthodoxy).90 years later, the historic church of St. Sophia in Nicaea (Iznik, Turkey) In which was held the Second Ecumenical Council (787), is working again as a mosque. Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque in 1331 after the occupation of the region by the Ottomans in 1331, it remained until the arrival of the Greek army during the campaign in Asia Minor after the end of the First World War. In 1922 it burned to the present day, she had served or mosque, or church, but had been turned into a museum. Very recently , a new hodja and was named according to Turkish media, the church begins to function as a mosque .
