Obama on the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund actions : "I don’t take these folks too seriously."(TheHill).President Obama isn't worried about a conservative political action committee's attacks on him alleging that he leaked intelligence information for political gain. Obama said he doesn't take the attacks of the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund seriously. Recently the group whose leaders include former SEAL Scott Taylor, released a 22-minute video that accused Obama of leaking details about the raid that resulted in the killing of Osama bin Laden as politically motivated. The group says it's nonpartisan but Taylor, the political action committee's president, ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Virginia as a Republican in 2010.
"I don’t take these folks too seriously. One of their members is a birther who denies I was born here, despite evidence to the contrary. You’ve got another who was a tea party candidate in a recent election," Obama said Monday to The Virginian-Pilot.
"This kind of stuff springs up before election time." In response to the video's release, Ben LaBolt, spokesman for Obama's reelection campaign said that Republicans were resorting to "Swift Boat tactics" —a reference to a series of attack ads on Sen. John Kerry's (D-Mass.) military record during his 2004 presidential run.Hmmmm........"Swift Boat Tactics" have been very succesful in the course of History.Read the full story here.
