'We Keep scores' - Obama collecting personal data for a secret race database.

'We Keep scores' - Obama collecting personal data for a secret race database.(NYP).

A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice.”

Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.

This Orwellian-style stockpile of statistics includes a vast and permanent network of discrimination databases, which Obama already is using to make “disparate impact” cases against: banks that don’t make enough prime loans to minorities; schools that suspend too many blacks; cities that don’t offer enough Section 8 and other low-income housing for minorities; and employers who turn down African-Americans for jobs due to criminal backgrounds.

Big Brother Barack wants the databases operational before he leaves office, and much of the data in them will be posted online.

So civil-rights attorneys and urban activist groups will be able to exploit them to show patterns of “racial disparities” and “segregation,” even if no other evidence of discrimination exists.

Even if no one has complained about discrimination, even if there is no other evidence of racism, the numbers themselves will “prove” that things are unfair.

Such databases have never before existed. Obama is presiding over the largest consolidation of personal data in US history. He is creating a diversity police state where government race cops and civil-rights lawyers will micromanage demographic outcomes in virtually every aspect of society.

The first black president, quite brilliantly, has built a quasi-reparations infrastructure perpetually fed by racial data that will outlast his administration.  Hmmmm........"Don't think we're not keeping score, brother." That's what President Barack Obama said to Rep. Peter DeFazio in a closed-door meeting of the House Democratic Caucus last week, according to the Associated Press. Read the full story here.

'Orchestrated Racial Pogroms?' - Officers Saying Baltimore Mayor Told Police To Stand Down - Report.

'Orchestrated Racial Pogroms?' - Officers Saying Baltimore Mayor Told Police To Stand Down - Report.(conservative-headlines).

Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake (born March 17, 1970) is an American politician and the 49th and current mayor of Baltimore, Maryland. She is the second woman to hold the office. A member of the Democratic Party, she currently serves as secretary of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and vice president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Fox just reported that reporters said when they asked police why they were not responding to stop the rioters, they were told by the officers, “Talk to the mayor”, clearly implying they had been told not to move by the Mayor.

On Saturday, we reported the now-infamous statement from the Mayor about giving the protester/rioters ‘space’ to destroy.

When Republican Governor Hogan declared a State of Emergency last night, he also made comment about how he was glad that the Mayor “finally” called him. The National Guard is only arriving this morning. Hogan said that Obama had asked that they exercise “due restraint”.

Video above: Fast Forward to minute mark 7:30

I worked with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters we able to exercise their right to free speech. It’s a very delicate balancing act. Because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on. We also gave those who wished to destroy, space to to do that as well.” – Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake...... More on Mayor Blake here.

Baltimore Mayor Spoke With Obama in Afternoon – Then Waited 5 Hours to Call in the National Guard Read more.

The Governor of Maryland waited all afternoon for a call from Mayor Rawlings Blake to call in the guard.
ABC7 reported:
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was asked why she waited hours to ask the governor to declare a state of emergency, while the governor himself hinted she should have come to him earlier.
“We were all in the command center in the second floor of the State House in constant communication, and we were trying to get in touch with the mayor for quite some time,” Gov. Larry Hogan told a Monday evening news conference. “She finally made that call, and we immediately took action.”
The National Guard was called in after 15 businesses were torched, dozens of arrests and over 15 police officers injured.

Hmmmm.....Someone seems to be heading towards a new 'October revolution' time for America to wake up......Sometimes i wonder where all this Obama campaigning will lead to?

Video - 'If Obama had a son' Mom catches son rioting in Baltimore

“What’s wrong with you?!” she shouts before ordering him home, as shocked bystanders stare at the two.

As her son attempts to walk away, she continues: “You wanna be out here doing this dumb sh*t? Get the f*ck over here. Get over here now. Did you hear what I said?!”

Hmmm.....I think this lady deserves the 'Mom of the year award'

Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) dislikes Jarrett's message.

Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) dislikes Jarrett's message.HT: TheHill.
A feud between President Obama and black lawmakers over racial diversity among judges escalated Wednesday.
Valerie Jarrett, the president’s closest adviser, met with Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) members and refused to back down over controversial nominees despite a growing storm of criticism.

Many CBC members say Obama hasn’t fought hard enough to fill the federal bench with the Democrats’ preferred picks, leaving some states with nominees who lack the ethnic diversity of the population they would oversee.

In a closed-door meeting with a handful of CBC leaders, Jarrett brushed back the criticism, saying Obama had a “commitment to diversity” and an “outstanding” record in placing minority judges, she said afterward.

Asked if the White House would consider replacing any of its choices, Jarrett’s answer was a terse, “No.”

The message was not well received. CBC members have criticized the nominees who they say champion policies that discriminate against minorities.

Georgia Rep. David Scott (D), said he approached Jarrett about two nominees in particular: one who once supported a state bill to keep the Confederate battle emblem a part of Georgia’s flag, and another who led the defense of the state’s photo ID law, which Scott claims is a statute designed “to keep black folks, as much as possible, from voting.

“I asked her specifically that they should be [withdrawn]. She just didn’t say anything,” said Scott, who did not attend the briefing on nominees but was present at a later meeting with Jarrett and the full CBC.

“Do you think George Bush would have been able to do this, or any white president would have been able to do this? No,” Scott said
The president should have said, ‘There’s absolutely no way I want to go down in history as putting these kinds of people into federal court nominations against my own African-American [people]’ ... It’s a tragedy.

“Nobody’s happy,” said Rep. Sanford Bishop Jr. (D), from Georgia. “It’s a messed-up process.”

The White House, meanwhile, is pushing back hard against the notion that the administration has neglected to promote minorities to the bench. As Jarrett was meeting with the CBC, the White House announced the nomination of five new judicial nominees, including two women, one Hispanic and an openly gay African-American.

The White House also recently launched a new page on its website dedicated entirely to highlighting the diversity of Obama’s judicial nominees.

“This is a constant work in progress,” Jarrett said Wednesday. “We’re very proud of our track record so far, but that doesn’t mean we’re not interested in always looking for new ways the bench can reflect the diversity of our country.”

Scott, who has asked to testify against the Georgia nominees in the Senate, has a much different view. This is a terrible mistake, history will record it as such,” he said. “And it breaks my heart that it’s a black president.Read and see the full story here.

Most divisive Pres evah, Obama Plays Race Card on Falling Poll Numbers.

Most divisive Pres evah, Obama Plays Race Card on Falling Poll Numbers.(NB).By Tom Blumer.
Much will be written, and should be, about President Barack Obama's whining that racism partially explains the year-long plunge in his popularity since his reelection in 2012.
What's also worth noting about the ponderous and painfully long (18 web pages) January 27 writeup in The New Yorker ("Going the Distance; On and off the road with Barack Obama") is David Remnick's apparent obsessions with rewriting history and recasting reality.
But first, here's the paragraph where Obama, apparently feeling that the "it's Bush's fault I inherited all these messes" card may finally have worn itself out, goes for the race card (bolds and numbered tags are mine):

Obama’s election was one of the great markers in the black freedom struggle. In the electoral realm, ironically, the country may be more racially divided than it has been in a generation. Obama lost among white voters in 2012 by a margin greater than any victor in American history. [1]
The popular opposition to the Administration comes largely from older whites who feel threatened, underemployed, overlooked, and disdained in a globalized economy and in an increasingly diverse country. [2]
Obama’s drop in the polls in 2013 was especially grave among white voters. “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President,” Obama said. [3]
“Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black President." [4] The latter group has been less in evidence of late.Hmmm.....'Let's start some racial riots'?Read the full story here.

Absurd: Minister Calls NYC a ‘Plantation’ During Race-Focused de Blasio Inauguration.

Absurd: Minister Calls NYC a ‘Plantation’ During Race-Focused de Blasio Inauguration.(NM).
Race took center stage Wednesday at the inauguration of Mayor Bill de Blasio, with one minister who peppered his invocation with slavery references comparing New York City to a “plantation,” and singer Harry Belafonte decrying racial injustices as “Dickensian.”
“Let the plantation called New York City be the city of God, a city set upon the hill, a light shining in darkness,” Rev. Fred Lucas Jr., said during his invocation.
“Elevate our valleys. Make low our mountains. Make our crooked places straight and our rough places smooth. Oh God, oh God, oh God, break every chain, break every chain, break every chain.”
Furthering his slavery analogy, the cleric said:
Oh God, on this first day of January-the anniversary of the first Emancipation Proclamation-sound forth the trumpets of heaven proclaiming a new Emancipation Proclamation in New York City.
“From your divine leadership, emancipate every New Yorker from the shackles of fear, futility and frustration …. Oh God, end the civil wars and usher in a new Reconstruction Era that builds upon the many successes and achievements of yesterday while proclaiming the beginning of a new beginning.
The brief speech alarmed some observers, who took to Twitter to denounce the aggressive rhetoric.Read the full story here.

White House reporter: Obama administration 'most hostile' to journalists in US history.

White House reporter: Obama administration 'most hostile' to journalists in US history.(RT).
Former CNN correspondent Bob Franken was sitting down over the weekend with reporters at MSNBC when he was asked to weigh in on the current standoff between the White House and some of the biggest names in news when he made headline-grabbing remarks about this administration’s treatment of the press.
Allegations have been made lately by the likes of the Associated Press, Reuters and others that the White House has been excluding independent photographers from official functions with increasing regularity as of late, instead relying on a lone administration staffer to shoot images of US President Barack Obama for selected distribution among the press. In a recent letter sent by editors at the AP, Reuters, CNN, ABC, NBC and others, the organizations wrote “officials in this administration are blocking the public from having an independent view of important functions of the Executive Branch of government,” and McClatchy newspapers and USA Today both went as far as to vow to boycott official images provided by the White House in protest.

On Saturday, however, perhaps the harshest critique yet of this administration’s policy with regards to the press surfaced, courtesy of Franken, a longtime White House reporter who has covered the Washington beat since the 1980s.
“Well, let's use the ‘P’ word here,” Franken told MNBC Live host TJ Holmes. “This is propaganda when it comes from the White House: government covering the government. “
“It’s not what you’re supposed to do in the United States of America,” added Franken, “But we have an administration, every president gets to the point where he dislikes the press. It’s that simple. And every administration tries to manipulate the press. But this is the most hostile to the media that has been in United States history.”

When asked by Holmes to elaborate further, Franken specifically called out the Obama White House for the recent issues they’ve had with regards to official photography. According to Franken, the administration’s actions equate exactly to “shutting out the press,” an argument hinted at in the recent letter signed by the likes of the AP and others.
Shortly after, though, Franken called into question other media snafus spawned by this administration in order to qualify the Obama presidency as the most hostile ever to journalists.
“But the reason I say most hostile,” continued Franken, “is because of the Justice Department moves that they've made against the press. Obviously they have a contempt for the journalistic process. Those of us who are in journalism, of course, believe that it is vital if you're going to have informed electorate as opposed to one that’s been propagandized.”

Indeed, the latest episode pitting the White House against the nation’s media establishment is not the only one to scar the administration, not even in the last year. In May it was revealed that the Department of Justice was conducting surveillance targeting AP journalists, and soon after it was made public that Fox News reporter James Rosen was being monitored as well.

For 2013, Reporters Without Borders ranked the US as number 32 on the list of countries with the most press freedoms, and in October the Center to Protect Journalists published a 29-page scathing report scolding the Obama administration for its harsh treatment of the press, as well as the whistleblowers who have exposed newsworthy evidence only to be in turn prosecuted for espionage.

Franken, the cousin of Sen. Al Franken (D-Minnesota), was one of the main Washington correspondents at CNN for years before leaving during the second George W. Bush administration.

"To Lose Face or not?" - Chinese jets shadowed US and Japanese planes in new air defense zone.

"To Lose Face or not?" - Chinese jets shadowed US and Japanese planes in new air defense zone.(RT).
Two US surveillance aircraft and 10 Japanese F-15 jets were ‘tailed’ by Chinese pilots on Friday.China ordered an urgent dispatch of its Su-30 and J-10 fighter jets to an area in the East China Sea after the foreign aircraft “invaded” the air defense zone, they said
The reported intrusions came in defiance of the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), established by Beijing last week.

China’s move has triggered outrage from several states in the region and critical rhetoric from the US, as the vast zone covers disputed areas, including the islets claimed by both China and Japan.

Earlier on Thursday, the Chinese Air Force conducted its first air patrol flights over the zone, as Japan and South Korea sent their own military aircraft into the zone's airspace in an act of defiance.

China has stressed its decision to enforce the airspace identification zone - which requires all aircraft flying over or near it to identify themselves - follows common international practices and “is a necessary measure in China’s exercise of self-defense rights.”

No international flights will be affected by the setup of the zone, Chinese Air Force spokesman, Shen Jinke, told Xinhua.

Japan and its US ally blasted the decision as “unacceptable” and rejected the “unilateral” declaration, saying it would create dangerous tension. However, Chinese officials gave a reminder that both countries have long had their own ADIZ, and that the Japanese never discussed theirs with their neighbor.
If they want it revoked, then we would ask that Japan first revoke its own air defense identification zone and China will reconsider it after 44 years, China’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Yang Yujun, said in a statement posted on the ministry’s website on Thursday.
While possible action against the zone’s infiltrators has been vaguely defined as “defensive emergency measures,” The Global Times, a Chinese state media newspaper, on Friday called for “timely countermeasures without hesitation,” should Tokyo violate the new ADIZ.

At the same time, the paper suggested China could ignore violations by some other states, including the US. Two US military B-52 bombers flew over the area on Monday without prior notice, with a Pentagon spokesman telling Reuters we “have continued to follow our normal procedures.”

Chinese 'Red Lines': China sends warplanes to newly declared air zone

CHINA – China has sent warplanes to its newly declared air defense zone in the East China Sea, state media reports.

The vast zone, announced last week, covers territory claimed by China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. China has said all planes transiting the zone must file flight plans and identify themselves, or face “defensive emergency measures.”

But Japan, South Korea and the U.S. have all since flown military aircraft through the area. Japanese restraint in the face of Chinese efforts to modify the status quo is currently keeping the peace, potentially to the detriment of Japan’s claim to the island.”

The new dispute in an already tense region has raised concerns it could escalate into an unplanned military incident.
China’s state news agency Xinhua quoted air force spokesman Col Shen Jinke as saying several fighter jets and an early warning aircraft had been deployed to carry out routine patrols as “a defensive measure and in line with international common practices.”
He said the country’s air force would remain on high alert and would take measures to deal with all air threats to protect national security. In Xinhua’s Chinese language version of the article, the colonel said the aircraft would “strengthen the monitoring of targets in the air defense zone and do their duty.”

B-52s sing the ‘pivot to Asia’ song....Another 'Obamination' in the make?

B-52s sing the ‘pivot to Asia’ song....Another 'Obamination' in the make?(RT).

The twin B-52s took off from a US base in Guam and breached China’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) only a few days after it had been announced. Lost in the usual ‘exceptionalism’ fog was the fact that both the US (in 1950) and Japan (in 1969), not to mention Russia, Indonesia and others, also imposed their own ADIZ – which essentially means planes entering a particular airspace must identify themselves.

Predictably, the Washington/Wall Street reaction to the B-52 show was loud cheers for the “cause of global security” against “China's increasingly aggressive military actions,” “Beijing's brinksmanship,” “serious violation of international law,” “threat to freedom of navigation” and attempt of “naked aggression.”

Even US ambassador to Japan, Carolyn Kennedy, went out on a limb to scold China for “raising tensions”.

Nonsense: The Pentagon – via Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel – and the State Department – via Secretary John Kerry – gave the game away when both condemned China’s ADIZ as an attempt to change “by force” the “status quo” over the Senkakus.

Worse: Washington insists Beijing is allegedly trying to “control” an immense area of the Western Pacific, which, of course, are God-given American waters. Thus Washington had to “send a message”; otherwise President Obama’s “pivot to Asia” will be stuck in credibility limbo.

So it’s all here, in a nutshell: the “pivot to Asia” once again proved to be a fundamental military strategy to “contain” China, part of the Pentagon’s Full Spectrum Dominance doctrine, which has been the US military Bible since 2002.  It’s always crucial to remember the “pivot” was officially announced by Obama at the Pentagon.

SUBHEADER: There will be payback

The US Air Force insisted the B-52s were unarmed and there was “no communication” with the Chinese. That implies the Chinese had to infer, in a flash, that the B-52s were not lethal. China’s Ministry of Defense duly confirmed they “monitored” the B-52s all along.

An ADIZ is essentially a notification zone. Even Taiwan – not exactly a cheerleader of Beijing – officially announced that China’s ADIZ is peaceful. And the islands in fact are closer to Taiwan than to either Japan or China. So the B-52 adventure cannot be construed as anything else but a provocation.
Now imagine if Beijing had decided to scramble jet fighters to intercept the B-52s, followed by the US Air Force scrambling their jet fighters from Japanese bases. The whole B-52 adventure could have gone lethally wrong.

The provocation, on top of it, has made a mockery of the “international law” so prized by Washington. Nothing now prevents China or Russia, for example, to fly their own nuclear bombers through Japan's ADIZ.

Chinese media accused both the US and Japan of overreacting, stressing China has an equal right to impose its own ADIZ, which is not targeted at “any particular country.”
What makes it even more absurd is that China and Japan made a deal in 2008 to cooperate on the joint development of the East China Sea. Yet nothing concrete came out of it.

There’s also a crucial factor that Beijing cannot admit publicly. Based on reams of ancient texts, Beijing is adamant that the islands have been Chinese territory since “immemorial times”, until they were captured by the Japanese in 1895. So it’s back to those venomous strands of mutual nationalistic hatred and their manipulation by current Japanese Prime Minister Shinto Abe. One of the reasons Beijing has imposed the ADIZ is to prevent deranged Japanese nationalists from parachuting into the islands to literally plant the flag.

This post by The Saker argues the definitive case about Washington’s cowboy behavior and its implications for the geopolitics of the Western Pacific. When it comes to the Pentagon’s Full Spectrum Dominance and its offshoot, the “pivot to Asia,” there’s no room for soft power and diplomacy, not to mention the alleged superpower’s “responsibility.” The B-52s splendid adventure is the equivalent of the NSA snooping on the mobile phones of political leaders around the world.

Did Beijing get the message? You bet they did. Professor Sun Zhe at Tsinghua University in Beijing observes China won’t allow itself to be in a position of being a paper tiger: “If the United States conducts two or three more flights like this, China will be forced to respond. If China can only respond verbally it would be humiliating.”

There will be a non-verbal response. Expect stealth, lightning fast developments regarding Chinese nuclear submarines, missiles with multiple nuclear warheads, and all sorts of asymmetric strategies.

Yet, most of all, don't expect a spectacular response. Sun Tzu rules. Payback will come. It will be swift. And when US exceptionalism least expects it.

Pres Obama removes 'GOD' from Gettysburg Address. HT: Breitbart.
Washington DC talk show host Chris Plante reported today that Barack Obama omitted the words "under God" from the Gettysburg Address when reciting the great speech for a Ken Burns documentary. Burns had filmed all living presidents as well as various Hollywood personalities and luminaries to pay homage to the speech which was delivered by Abraham Lincoln 150 years ago, today.

Plante broke the story on Washington DC talk radio station WMAL on his mid-morning program, "The Chris Plante Show." WMAL reports:

Curiously enough, in his version of the speech, President Barack Obama's delivery contained an omission - in a line that every other celebrity delivered as "that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom," the President left out the words "under God."

Hmmmm......This pres has a 'history' of omitting God..........."And then shall that Wicked be revealed  "the wicked one," referring to the "man of sin," and called "the wicked one" because of the eminent depravity of the system of which he was to be the head;" see the notes on  Thessalonians 2:3

Carl in Jerusalem has his own view on the matter of the 'missing President':  Then again, the president's no-show at Gettysburg suggests he might be trying to follow Old Abe's counsel in a fruitful way: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool," the Great Emancipator is reported to have said, "than to speak and to remove all doubt."

Obama administration is selectively choosing which monuments to keep open and which to block off.

Obama administration is selectively choosing which monuments to keep open and which to block off.HT: Heritage.
The government shutdown means the closure of all national parks and memorials, right? Not necessarily, according to the House Natural Resources Committee. The Obama administration is selectively choosing which monuments to keep open and which to block off (click to see the map).

Despite the public outcry and pleas from the American Legion (watch video), the Obama administration continues to lock veterans out of the World War II memorial.
The political stunt — a result of President Obama’s decision to shut down the government to protect Obamacare — has prompted questions from members of Congress.

“It appears as though only the highly visible monuments and areas are being closed to the public – further proof that the Obama Administration is only playing politics and purposely choosing to make this shut down as painful as possible,” said House Natural Resources Chairman Doc Hastings.

These open-air sites, normally open to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, were not closed during the last government shutdown in 1996 or during the Occupy D.C. camp.

“This does not need to happen and should not happen,” Hastings said on the House floor. “And I urge Senate Democrats and the President to stop going out of their way to make the government shutdown as painful as possible. I urge them to come to the table and negotiate an end to the shutdown.”

Heritage legal expert Hans von Spakovsky has studied the law and determined there is no justifiable reason for closing the World War II Memorial. While the Obama administration continues the political stunt, veterans and citizens have taken matters into their own hands to keep it open.

On Thursday, I witnessed a man dressed a black shirt, jeans and a military fatigue cap at the World War II Memorial cut the wires bounding the barricades together and tear them open so visitors could enter. He walked around perimeter of the monument to ensure all the entrances of the monument were open then he saluted and ran across the street toward the Washington Monument.
The World War II Memorial remained open for about two hours. The park rangers began kicking everyone out and blocking the entrances before an Honor Flight tour group arrived. The rangers allowed the veterans in, but blocked entrance for others and told them that the memorial had been closed all day — contradicting what I saw firsthand.

Will the barricades be strong enough to keep veterans and citizens out this weekend?

Catholic Chaplains Face Possible Arrest During Government Shutdown.

Catholic Chaplains Face Possible Arrest During Government Shutdown.HT: blog.acton .

There is a shortage of Catholic priests who serve members of the US military and their families, and it looks as if the government shutdown is going to make the situation worse. According to John Schlageter, general counsel for the Archdiocese for the Military Services, priests (whether they are active military or priests privately contracted by the military) will not be allowed to offer Mass or offer other religious services on military installations. (Some Protestant services may also be affected, but the shortage of Protestant clergy is not as extensive as it is for Catholics.)
Schlagter stated that the chaplains may not work or even volunteer during the shutdown. Should a priest attempt to offer Mass, hear confessions or baptize someone, he would be facing arrest. Pentagon spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen stated that if an “outside” priest were hired and paid via tithes and/or donations – not government tax dollars – he would be allowed to offer his services.
Approximately 25 percent of active duty personnel are Catholic, and they have their own archdiocese:
The Archdiocese for the Military Services was created by Pope John Paul II to provide the Catholic Church’s full range of pastoral ministries and spiritual services to those in the United States Armed Forces. This includes more than 220 installations in 29 countries, patients in 153 V.A. Medical Centers, and federal employees serving outside the boundaries of the USA in 134 countries. Numerically, the AMS is responsible for more than 1.8 million men, women, and children.
Catholic military personnel are being encouraged to seek out services off-base, find a volunteer priest, or simply
…go without Mass this weekend.  Until the Federal Government resumes normal operations, or an exemption is granted to contract or GS priests, Catholic services are indefinitely suspended at many of those worldwide installations served by contract and GS priests.

Obama's 'OBAMA CARE' turned the country upside down for seven million people?

Obama's 'OBAMA CARE' turned the country upside down for seven million people?HT: Scaramouchee.

Obama has upended the ship of state so that every last American (of whom there are more that 319 million) can have access to "affordable" heath care. Given that, you would think that tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people will soon be signing up for health insurance listed on Obamacare "exchanges." In the following exchange, though, the actual number is revealed to be mega-puny:

SARAH KLIFF: It’s actually a very small group of Americans. The White House expects that about seven million people will buy insurance on these new exchanges where people who don’t have insurance right now can go and compare plans and potentially purchase an option. The people who are not affected are people who get insurance right now through their employer or people who are on Medicare or Medicaid or number of other government programs.

HARI SREENIVASAN: And that’s the vast majority of Americans?

SARAH KLIFF:  It is. We’re actually talking about a pretty small segment of the population for all the debate we’re having here in Washington. At their height the budget forecasters estimate that about seven percent of Americans will use these exchanges. So we’re talking about a sliver of the American population.
He turned the country upside down for seven million people!!!
