Mannequins displaying work by a number of fashion designers were removed from the Istanbul Congress Center for being too risque, ahead of the arrival of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Dec. 7, daily Taraf has reported. Turkey Exporters Union (TİM) President Mehmet Büyükekşi reportedly found the naked mannequins displaying leather belts at the Turkey Innovation Week too suggestive, so ordered officials to replace them with mannequins of ambiguous sex.
