Kerry: US May Ease Sanctions Programs against Iran.

Kerry: US May Ease Sanctions Programs against Iran.(Fars).

US Secretary of State John Kerry announced that Washington will release a portion of Iranian assets frozen in bank accounts across the world in the event of an agreement between Iran and the Group 5+1 (five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) in Geneva later this month.

Kerry’s comments came one day after he briefed the Senate Banking Committee on the recent round of negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1 in Geneva on November 7-9.

… You have to do something to make it worthwhile for them to say yes, we are going to lock our sanctions program where it is today and actually roll it back,” Kerry said on Thursday, adding that Iran has $45 billion is frozen assets.

He said he will try to convince the Senate to temporarily halt imposing new sanctions against Iran.

While the next round of talks between Iran and the sextet is slated for November 20, the US Senate Banking Committee is considering additional sanctions against Tehran.

Israel, furious at the recent Geneva talks, is spearheading a campaign to block any deal between Iran and the Group 5+1.

Analysts believe that Israel, the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle-East with 200-400 warheads, fears a rapprochement between Iran and the US, its main ally.Hmmm.....It's the 'Season Of Giving' ......The bill comes later, last time it cost 6 Million Jewish lives.
