Swedish Think Tank: “North Korea possesses 8 nuclear arms,” (theinsidekorea).
North Korea is holding onto 6-9 nuclear weapons by analysis of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and has released the report on the world’s nuclear armament on 16 June that a Japanese communication reported.
However, SIPRI added North Korea doesn’t seem to practice placement of nuclear weapons.
According to the report, North Korea put ‘the great efforts’ to improve plutonium production capacity last year and had succeeded in other nuclear weapons production that has different devices from nuclear explosive of rudimentary.
According to satellite images, North Korea seems to have began reactivating fuel rod production of Yongbyon nuclear reactor that is estimated to have obtained plutonium which can produce a nuclear bomb per year.
The report is noted that has not been confirmed whether North Korea produced highly enriched uranium for military purposes and the availability separately from plutonium production or not.
SIPRI released information that evidences couldn’t be found that North Korea invented the small nuclear warhead to the mounted ballistic missiles and related technology.
