Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei opposes two-stage nuclear agreement.(Taz).
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that he doesn’t agree with a two-stage accord on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear case, the supreme leader’s official Khamanei.ir website reported Feb. 8.
He noted some people say that the agreement can be achieved in two stages, starting with generalities and then proceeding with details.
“But if an agreement is reached, it should include both the generalities and details in one stage,” Khamenei said.
“Our experiences from the other party’s behaviour indicate that in case of reaching an agreement on generalities, they will bring successive excuses in discussions of the details,” Khamenei said.
He added that the agreement should be clear, obvious and not prone to being interpreted according to someone’s view point.
“The articles of the agreement should deprive the other side from excuses,” he added.
Iran and the P5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China, France and Germany) group have extend their negotiations to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal, with the aim of reaching a high-level political agreement by 1 March, and confirming the full technical details of the agreement by 1 July. Hmmm.......only 'unconditional surrender' will be accepted.
