Three shot in new shooting incident near the main synagogue of the Danish capital, Copenhagen.(PressTV).
One person has been shot in the head and two policemen in the arm and leg in a fresh shooting incident near the main synagogue of the Danish capital, Copenhagen, police say.
The shooting took place early on Sunday when a gunman opened fire in the synagogue located on the Danish capital’s Krystalgade Street, police said in a statement.
"We cannot say anything about the condition of the injured yet," the statement said, adding, "The perpetrator fled on foot."
The nearby Noerreport train station, one of the busiest stations in the country, was reportedly evacuated following the incident.
It was not confirmed if the attack was linked to Saturday's fatal shooting at a Copenhagen café where controversial Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks attended a debate.
The meeting, dubbed “Art, blasphemy and the freedom of expression” was apparently held to justify the cartoonist's depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.
RT description of Synagogue shooter:
