Legendary Toronto Jewish Leader Dr. Frank Dimant shocked people Friday with a statement under the headline “Foreign Affairs Minister’s remarks worrisome to friends of Israel.”
Dimant wrote “CUFI (Christians Unite for Israel) Canada, the largest pro-Israel advocacy group in the country, is concerned that Justin Trudeau may be abandoning his campaign promises.
As a candidate to become prime minister, Trudeau had promised to maintain the substance of Canada’s exemplary relationship with Israel, modifying only the tone. However, just sworn-in Stephane Dion promises his ministry at Foreign Affairs will return to the role of ‘honest broker’ vis a vis Israel.
Israel already has many ‘honest brokers’ among the Europeans.”
Israel, a democracy surrounded by terrorist states, needs is friends it can count on.”
Dimant, who also expressed disappointment he did not see any mention of a Jewish person being named to cabinet, said “Canada needs to maintain the moral clarity” on its stance on Israel.
Hmmmm...........I warned in 2008 my Jewish friends about Obama, did the same now about Trudeau, seems with age intelligence disappears......sadly i might be right again. NEVER ever believe a politician.
