Thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of serious crimes—including rape, child molestation and kidnapping—have been released in the United States by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the agency doesn’t bother keeping track of the alien convicts.

The DHS agency responsible for removing dangerous illegal aliens, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), simply releases sex offenders when they complete their criminal sentence and fails to monitor or force them to register with local authorities in the communities where they resettle.

The incredulous story of this outrageous system comes via an investigative series published this week in a Boston newspaper that sued the government for the records.

It includes a database of criminals that one former federal prosecutor calls “chilling.” The offenders are “dangerous and predatory individuals who should not be prowling the streets,” the prosecutor says in the article. “In fact, they should not be in the United States at all.”

But our famously inept Homeland Security officials simply let these monsters loose in unsuspecting communities, even though one law enforcement agency cited in the series calls the illegal immigrant cons “the worst of the worst.” 

At the very least, ICE is supposed to assure that the thugs register with local authorities as sex offenders, but the agency doesn’t even bother to do that. Instead, once ICE frees the offenders, agency officials often lose track of them despite outstanding deportation orders. It’s like negligence on steroids. Read the full story here.

$465 the 'fee' for Legal Status Under Pres Obama’s 'Dream Act'.(ABC).The Obama administration will formally begin granting some young undocumented immigrants legal status and work permits later this month under a controversial new policy first announced by President Obama in June. The Department of Homeland Security today announced details of the application and approval process for the DREAM Act-like program, outlining specific eligibility requirements and a $465 fee. It will begin Aug. 15. Illegal immigrants younger than 30 who came to the United States before age 16, have lived here for at least five years continuously, attend or have graduated from high school or college, and have no criminal convictions are eligible to submit requests for so-called deferred action (legalese for an official exemption from deportation).
The administration said documentation provided by each applicant will be reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis at one of four service centers run by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. It’s unclear how long each review will take, but some immigrants are expected to receive temporary legal status before Election Day. While the “dreamers” will not obtain a path to citizenship or the right to vote, Obama’s policy shift – circumventing Congress with executive action – has been widely seen as a politically motivated nod to Hispanics who have long sought the change. Obama’s Republican critics today sharply assailed the new policy as unconstitutional and out of touch with the jobs crisis U.S. citizens face.“Today’s deferred action guidance is another example of how the president’s policies put the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of the interests of U.S. citizens and legal immigrants,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith said. “On the same day the unemployment rate rose to 8.3 percent, the Obama administration announced a requirement for illegal immigrants to apply to be able to work in the U.S.,” the GOP congressman from Texas said. “The administration’s guidelines don’t just encourage illegal immigrants to work in the U.S., they actually require them to apply to do so.”Hmmmm......If he really wanted to destroy the US economy would he do anything different?The nimber of Foodstamp recipients will rise even more.Read the full story here.

Obama DHS orders Fed. immigration officers to Free Illegal Alien “Dreamers” Arrested For Violent Crimes.(JW).Federal immigration officers have been ordered by the Obama Administration to release illegal immigrants arrested for violent crimes as long as they claim to be “dreamers” who came to the U.S. as children and are being allowed to remain in the country under a new policy.
The astounding directive was made public by a pair of officials who work for separate front-line agencies of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Border Patrol. The men, longtime agents, are also union heads who represent thousands of immigration officers around country.

Illegal immigrants are essentially running the show, avoiding detention by exploiting the Obama Administration’s controversial plan to spare nearly 1 million young illegal immigrants (so-called “dreamers”) from deportation. 

Under the deferred action process, announced just a few weeks ago, “young people brought to the United States through no fault of their own as children” will have a chance at U.S. citizenship.
Federal officers say no proof is required and the amnesty is being granted based solely on individuals’ claims. “What we are seeing so far concerns us greatly,” said Chris Crane, president of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council and a veteran ICE agent himself. “”Officers have been told that there is no burden for the alien to prove anything…. "There's still plenty of unfinished business, including fixing our broken immigration system," he said. "It's long past the time that we unleash the promise of all our young people and make the DREAM Act a reality." Mitt Romney has vowed to veto the legislation, which would allow some undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children to stay on American soil legally, provided they have a clean record and graduate from high school or serve in the military. Republican Senator Marco Rubio has also pushed a version of the measure that would provide temporary, non-immigrant visas. "No is not an option, I want to sign the DREAM Act into law!" Obama said. "I've got the pens all ready, I'm willing to work with anybody who's serious to get this done, and to achieve bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform that solves this challenge once and for all."
