TORONTO — The Canada Revenue Agency has revoked the charitable status of an Islamic group after it says it distributed over $280,000 to an agency allegedly linked to a terrorist organization in Pakistan.
The CRA announced Friday it will strip the Islamic Society of North America Canada's Development Foundation of its charitable status.

After a nearly two-year-long audit of its books, the CRA said it found evidence linking the group to an organization that funds a terrorist organization in Pakistan.

Recall that CAIR-Can recently and inexplicably changed its name. Perhaps this was done in anticipation of this ruling.  Its new name, National Council Of Canadian Muslims aka Terror Supporters Hiding In Plain Site, is no longer listed among ISNA's affiliates.

Guess Who's Delivering the Keynote Speech at This Year's "Reviving the Islamic Spirit" Confab in Toronto? None Other Than Pierre's Lad Justin.HT: Scaramouchee.While Justin "Bieber" Trudeau is addressing the multitudes/shilling for votes on December 22, I wonder if he'll be at all bothered by the fact that another of the event's speakers at the confab, Dr. Jamal Badawi, has, among other things:

• issued a fatwa for Islamonline, outlining six different conditions in which a wife may properly be beaten according to his understanding of “Islamic teaching,” because, he stated, “there are cases … in which a wife persists in bad habits.”
• played a part in a November 2004 fatwa by the International Union of Muslim Scholars decreeing that it was a religious “duty” for all able-bodied Muslims inside and outside Iraq to wage jihad against the American military.
• justified Muslim suicide bombings as a legitimate tactic of jihad.

Call me crazy, but that doesn't seem terribly--now, what was that word Justin's pappy liked to use?--oh, yeah, multicultural of him.

Also on the bill--Imam Zaid Shakir, a radical sort of chap who:

• Contends that Muslims cannot accept the legitimacy of the existing American order.
• Criticizes the U.S. for its “pattern of demonization, destabilization, and the invasion of hapless Third World nations.
• Claims that organizations such as Hamas and al Qaeda are pursuing manifestly legitimate objectives.
