'Real Change' - Canadian PM Trudeau’s brother lobbies Liberals to not deport al-Qaida terror suspect Mohamed Harkat.(TS).

The prime minister’s brother is lobbying the government to allow Ottawa terror suspect Mohamed Harkat to stay in Canada.

Alexandre Trudeau, 42, wrote a letter to Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale on Feb. 27, asking him to stop the security certificate process and end the government’s attempt to deport Harkat.

“I urge you to use your unique position as minister, and the discretion afforded to you under the law, to exempt Mohamed Harkat from deportation and let him stay and live a productive life in Canada,” Trudeau wrote, adding: “Make this decision of yours another shining example of your government’s commitment to sunny ways.”

In his letter to Goodale, Alexandre Trudeau said security certificates remain a “fundamentally unfair measure” since they preclude the ability of suspects like Harkat to challenge the evidence against them. 

“I am absolutely convinced that at this moment, he (Harkat) poses no danger whatsoever to the public or to public safety in Canada,” Trudeau wrote, “but rather offers a positive commitment to the life he has created here.

“Just as importantly, Canadian and international law prohibit complicity in torture, and there is good reason to believe that Mohamed’s deportation to Algeria could lead to his torture.”

The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act gives the minister the power to stop a deportation as long as it’s “not contrary to the national interest.”

In May 2014, the Supreme Court of Canada upheld the government’s revised security certificate regime and affirmed a decision that found Harkat to be an active member of the al-Qaida terrorist network. The case against Harkat was built on 13 wiretapped phone conversations and at least two unnamed informants, one of whom failed a lie-detector test. Read the full story here. If you ever wonder why the weasel west media always calls Putin a dictator or demonizes him, just look at what has been happening recently. By watching the US news last week one would think all of America has turned gay with the Supreme Court ruling on married same-sex couples. The New York Times called it a, "major victories for the gay rights movement". Some even compare it to racial equality. 
If Putin was the dictator the West claims, the new law that defends Christianity would have been in effect immediately after the pussy riot blasphemy which happened last year. Recently President Putin signed a 'gay propaganda' ban and law criminalizing insult of religious feelings.

Oddly enough the West is the only place where some Christian leaders are gay. Their Christian churches omit certain biblical teachings against homosexuality. Yes, Russia's Christianity and anyone who defends it rain on the gay parade and their upside down world. In the past they demonized Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and ridiculed Christians in America as crazed right-wingers. They danced when President Reagan, Jerry Falwell and Charlton Heston died. There is no longer a real powerful conservative in the West the liberals fear.

In the East there is someone that causes the western liberal's maniacal laughter to stop. Vladimir Putin. He has real world power, which causes the liberal media to fearfully ignore or warp his image. Like a good Christian King he leads a nation to Christ. Deep down in their evil souls they shriek like devils because they know Christ is true God and true power that they cannot defeat. They thought the Bolshevik revolution destroyed Holy Mother Russia. Christ cannot be defeated and his servant Putin has welcomed Christ and His church.

Conservative Americans have written thanking me for my articles since their media and government ignores them. They tell me most of America is Christian and they support Putin.

Tony Smyles wrote, "I wish you would come to the US and become head of our major news outlets CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN. Our journalists are, to a man, in lock-step with Obama, having drunk deeply from his pig's trough of Kool-Aid."

Now the Russian Orthodox Church is strong and getting stronger thanks to men in government like President Vladimir Putin. Does America know how this happened and why their media still portrays it as the same evil Soviet Union?

How can conservative media sources in America who claim to be Christian ignore their Christian brothers in Russia who are now successful? Martyrs they ignore and the blood that was shed to restore the Christian Church in Russia. They must be con artists playing the conservative side as fools while the liberals enslave the rest.

Devout Russian Christians are on the march to conquer the world. Not like the Communist Soviet Union who spread wars like Obama and the US are doing now. These Russians are like Disciples of Christ who lovingly reach out to their brothers and sisters. Helping men and women in darkness enslaved by a materialistic society who are truly in need of Christ. Look to the East.

Reagan called the Soviet Union the evil empire and rightly so. "The Soviet Union was the Russian people held hostage by the Communists"- Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Solzhenitsyn wrote about those evils in many of his books, which Reagan was well aware of. On May 30, 1988 in Moscow, President Ronald Reagan was at the Danilov Monastery.

He said, "There is a beautiful passage that I'd just like to read, if I may. It's from one of this country's great writers and believers, Alexander Solzhenitsyn, about the faith that is as elemental to this land as the dark and fertile soil. He wrote:

Putin and Reagan listened to Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Those who listen to their elders tend to be wiser. Vladimir Putin allows Christianity to flourish unlike the liberals in America who have their own warped idea of freedom from God and a denial of evil's existence in the world.

There is a reason that most public schools in America do not teach the Bolshevik revolution and its true consequences. There are people in the West that want to remove everything related to Christ from "public view" just as the communists did during the Soviet enslavement of Russia. 20th century Russia is proof that Christianity can prevail against their darkness and confusion.

Today, the liberals who control the West fear Putin as though doomsday was tomorrow. It's not a nuclear threat but rather a spiritual renewal that threatens them. It is not Putin but Russia's Christianity they fear. Rather, it is Christ they truly fear and hate. They try to persuade Americans by scaring everyone with ideas of Putin as the evil KGB out to destroy the world. They "reason" KGB is bad. Putin is KGB. Therefore, Putin is bad. They demonize Putin because it's not our world but their liberal world that is in danger of being destroyed.

The party paper said the total tax on those taking home over €40,000 per month would be used to fund social welfare and investing in the country’s future.

The upcoming campaign for Germany’s election in September was going to be one focused on wealth redistribution, said Riexinger.

As Ontario Liberals converged on Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens to elect their new leader, Kathleen Wynne’s team sent out a mass e-mail to delegates seeking their support. Nothing extraordinary, except this message was filtered so it would not reach all delegates, only the roughly 100 Muslims among them.
Here is part of that message:

“Dear Muslim Delegates, Assalamu Alaikum:

“We appeal to you all to join us in supporting Kathleen Wynne to become the leader of OLP and thus next premier of Ontario … She had openly defended Muslims’ religious rights for Friday prayers in Valley Park Middle School in her riding.” 

The bulk e-mail was followed by a direct letter from Wynne to Muslim delegates touting her credentials, specifically noting her support for “the Muslim prayer issue at Valley Park Middle School.” The fact many Liberal Muslims had vociferously opposed the mosque-in-school initiative was lost on Wynne.
This was actually a case of a Liberal candidate choosing to abandon Liberal Muslims in a bid for Muslim support.
The e-mail touting Wynne as a good-for-Muslims-candidate was signed, among others, by Abdulhuq Ingar, the man behind the establishment of the Mosque in Valley Park Middle School.
Salma Siddiqui, president of the Muslim Canadian Congress and a lifelong Liberal, was indignant.
“The hypocrisy of these Islamists is appalling. They (dislike) Irshad Manji because she is a lesbian, but endorse Wynne?” she asked. “How can Ingar, a supporter of Sharia law, which among other things considers gays as worthy of outright contempt ... become a spokesman for Wynne?” asked Siddiqui.Will Valley Park Middle School, that Wynne boasts of as one of her proud accomplishments, become a model for all Ontario public schools? Illustrated by Gerald Scarfe and published on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the cartoon includes a caption stating: "Israeli elections - will cementing peace continue?"
“This cartoon would be offensive at any time of the year, but to publish it on International Holocaust Remembrance Day is sickening and expresses a deeply troubling mindset,” said President of the European Jewish Congress, Dr. Moshe Kantor. “This insensitivity demands an immediate apology from both the cartoonist and the paper’s editors.”
“Amazingly, as this cartoon was published days after the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel, underwent fully democratic elections, as others in the Middle East were being butchered by the tens of thousands, the Sunday Times focuses its imagination solely on the Jewish State.”
"This contravenes many of the criteria laid out in EUMC’s [The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia] Working Definition of Anti-Semitism and is part of a worrying trend to legitimize the growing assault on Israel by opinion-shapers," Kantor concluded.
The Commentator, which first reported the abhorrent cartoon, wrote that while International Holocaust Memorial Day, commemorated on January 27, is a day to remember the six million Jews who were brutally murdered during the Holocaust, it is being transfigured “into a day that ‘the Jews’ or ‘Israel’ (for they will use these terms interchangeably), are to be attacked or set up, completely leaving behind the idea that the country came into existence in the wake of the greatest single crime in history.”
“The cartoon will be defended as fair comment about Israel’s security fence that the Palestinians and their foreign cheerleaders depict as a war crime,” writes Jonathan Tobin of Commentary Magazine. “That this strictly defensive measure was made necessary by the Palestinians’ campaign of suicide bombings that cost the lives of a thousand Jews in the last decade goes unmentioned.”
“The willingness of Israel-bashers to appropriate the Holocaust to promote a new generation of anti-Semitic imagery is rooted in a worldview in which the actions of the Palestinians, or their consistent refusal to make peace, are irrelevant,” Tobin explains. “If even a fence to keep out suicide bombers can be seen as criminal then it is obvious that no terrorist outrage or act of hateful incitement (such as the Egyptian president’s belief that Israelis are the “descendants of apes and pigs”) is worthy of censure so long as Israelis are standing up for themselves and refusing to be slaughtered as the Jews of Europe were 70 years ago.”
“The point is most Israelis have long given up on the Palestinians, whom they rightly understand to be light years away from the sort of sea change that would allow them to recognize the legitimacy of a Jewish State no matter where its borders were drawn. So, too, do they no longer listen to a Europe where blood libels like the Sunday Timescartoon are seen as commonplace and just a more sophisticated version of Morsi’s hate speech,” he continues.
“Israel is not perfect and its politicians can be criticized,” writes Tobin. “But this commemoration of Europe’s Holocaust Memorial Day with such slanders shows the inability of those who believe Israel has no right to exist or to defend itself to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian dispute without resorting to imagery like that of the cartoon or Morsi’s imprecations. Why can't cartoonists seem to criticise Israel without the use of big noses and blood libels? And why do the mainstream papers still publish this stuff?

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. Traditionally, and in line with common decency, it is a day to remember the atrocities of the Second World War, particularly the six million Jewish people slaughtered at the hands of Hitler.
For some, however, Holocaust Memorial Day is transfiguring into a day that ‘the Jews’ or ‘Israel’ (for they will use these terms interchangeably), are to be attacked or set up, completely leaving behind the idea that the country came into existence in the wake of the greatest single crime in history.
But more to the point, who can blame them when some of the country’s smartest media outlets present Israel and its leaders in this particular light:

the large-nosed Jew, hunched over a wall, building with the blood of Palestinians as they writhe in pain within it. 

For this is exactly what the Sunday Times has today done; not simply treading the fine line between criticism and blood libel, but indeed spitting all over it, leaving it for dust, and careering head first into anti-Semitismsville.
“Will cementing peace continue?” reads the caption beneath the image of a Quasimodo-like Netanyahu. As if this half-hearted attempt at a pun would help masquerade the overt racism within the image. No.
At the time, I would never have thought the editors of the Sunday Times were in amongst those who would seek, in true Der Sturmer fashion, to use Holocaust Memorial Day to publish a blood libel, and knowingly undermine the memory of one of the worst genocides ever.

“I don’t know if you know the genesis of the right to bear arms,” he said. “The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans.”

“A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the second amendment is,” he continued. Glover, best known for roles in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise and “Angels in the Outfield,” was addressing students at an event being held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On Wednesday, al-Jazeera purchased Al Gore's Current TV network for $500 million. And on Thursday, Time-Warner, the largest cable operator in the US, announced that it was dropping Current TV because Time-Warner refuses to broadcast al-Jazeera .

Time Warner Cable pulled the plug on Current TV just hours after news of the cable channel's sale to Al Jazeera became official.
"This channel is no longer available on Time Warner Cable," read an on-screen message where Current TV used to be found.
Al Jazeera took a major step into the U.S. cable market Wednesday by acquiring beleaguered Current TV and announcing plans for a U.S.-based news network to be called Al Jazeera America. But while the new channel will soon be available in 40 million households, Al Jazeera faced a setback when Time Warner Cable -- which reaches 12 million homes -- announced it was dropping the low-rated Current, which occupied a spot that could have been switched to Al Jazeera America.
Joel Hyatt, who co-founded Current TV with former Vice President Al Gore, told staff in a Wednesday night memo that Time Warner Cable "did not consent to the sale to Al Jazeera."
"Consequently, Current will no longer be carried on TWC," Hyatt wrote. "This is unfortunate, but I am confident that Al Jazeera America will earn significant additional carriage in the months and years ahead."
A Time Warner Cable spokesman said in a statement that "our agreement with Current will be terminated and we will no longer be carrying the channel."

Justin Trudeau addresses controversial Muslim conference.(SNN).TORONTO - Justin Trudeau addressed his critics head-on during a heavily criticized keynote speech at the Reviving the Islamic Spirit conference Saturday, saying he respected their right to “express their opinions.”
“But I want you to know that I will always stand up to the politics of division and fear,” Trudeau said. “It is short-sighted to pit groups of Canadians against one another.”
The Liberal Party leadership candidate greeted thousands of members of Toronto’s Muslim community with a story of his “second favourite prime minister” who chose to “find common ground between people of differing beliefs” — Wilfrid Laurier. “He knew that his was a country founded and built by people who had warred against one another for centuries on their home continent: English vs. French, Catholic vs. Protestant,” Trudeau said.
Trudeau has recently been criticized for attending the conference, which attracted controversy over speakers from both sides of the Islamist debate as well as sponsors linked to Hamas.
Jewish advocacy group B’nai Brith requested to meet with the politician before the conference.
The group said Friday it was “truly unfortunate that Mr. Trudeau has steadfastly refused to meet with leading Canadian Jewish and Muslim groups who have serious and legitimate concerns” about his attendance.
B’nai Brith spokesman Sam Eskenasi says their intention is not to “smear” everyone who attends the conference.
“I think the idea of such a conference is great,” he said Saturday. “I think our only concern is certain speakers do not necessarily reflect things that are part of Canadian values.”

His appearance at the Reviving the Islamic Spirit event later this month has been attacked by an anti-Islamism website and those complaints have been picked up by some mainstream media outlets.
The critics have raised concerns about radical views and the alleged affiliation of other speakers at the event later this month.
They have also pointed to alleged ties between major conference sponsors and the Islamic militant group Hamas.
Trudeau is making no apologies for his appearance.
When asked at a news conference this week about the controversy, Trudeau said he doesn't share the critics' concerns and he accuses them of trafficking in misinformation.
He says he's proud to participate at an event that tries to bridge the gap between the reality for Muslim Canadians and mainstream Canada.
Trudeau says politicians from all parties have spoken at the annual Toronto event — including former New Democrat leader Jack Layton a few years ago. A spokeswoman for the convention says the criticism is an example of broader fear-mongering about Muslims.
Farhia Ahmed says the allegations about malicious activities linked to event speakers and sponsors have not been proven.
She says the organizers do not condone any negative behaviour or activities.

Orwell's preface, so rarely published, concludes with his motivation for writing it, "It is the liberals who fear liberty and the intellectuals who want to do dirt on the intellect."

Suppose there were a worldwide movement which openly proclaimed its goal of taking over in your country and every country with the purpose of imposing its system on every human beings on earth. Also suppose that this movement had carried out murders and terrorist attacks in your own country, that members of this group promoted violence while gaining political influence. Suppose also that is was highly unfashionable and politically incorrect to speak out against them.

I am not speaking of Islam here, but of Communism. The current wave of censorship and denial toward Islam is not a new development. It is rather a very old one. Islamophobia, like Red-Baiting, is a political term that serves the function of cutting off any discussion of the subject. It precludes any listing of the facts or debates on the issue, by declaring it to be off-limits. To raise the issue is to expose yourself as a bad person whose ideas are unacceptable for public distribution.

When George Orwell was struggling to find a publisher for Animal Farm, he was repeatedly turned down on the grounds that the book would offend the Soviet Union. One publisher wrote to Orwell that he had been dissuaded from publishing the book by an important official in the Ministry of Information (an agency that would become the Ministry of Truth in his novel, 1984) who had told him that publishing such a book would be ill-advised at this time. That official was, incidentally, a Soviet spy.

The publisher went on to say that the book might be acceptable if it applied generally to dictators, but not specifically to the USSR. Finally the publisher added, “It would be less offensive if the predominant caste in the fable were not pigs. I think the choice of pigs as the ruling caste will no doubt give offence to many people, and particularly to anyone who is a bit touchy, as undoubtedly the Russians are.”

Change around a few names and this is exactly the rejection letters that courageous books critical of Islam have received. It’s fine to make general criticisms of religious fanaticism, so long as those criticisms are universally applied, and do not offend those touchy people who religious fanaticism occasionally expresses itself in dangerous ways.

In a generally deleted preface to Animal Farm, Orwell wrote, “The sinister fact about literary censorship in England is that it is largely voluntary. Unpopular ideas can be silenced, and inconvenient facts kept dark, without the need for any official ban. Anyone who has lived long in a foreign country will know of instances of sensational items of news — being kept right out of the British press, not because the Government intervened but because of a general tacit agreement that ‘it wouldn’t do’ to mention that particular fact.”

There are quite a few sensational facts and news items that are kept out or minimized in our own media because it would not do to mention them. There are rarely any government officials dictating this censorship, certainly in the United States there are no legal codes that make it mandatory, but this censorship is voluntary. It consists of people censoring themselves, of publications censoring people out of fear of violence, of publishers who feel that this is an ill-advised time to stir up tensions and of a larger body of liberal thinkers who feel that we should sympathize with Islam and ignore any of its violent and supremacist activities.Read the full story here.

I reached out to Christopher Child, the well-known genealogist who was the source of the claim, and his employer, the prestigious New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS), but they have gone silent, refusing to comment on, defend or correct their claim that Warren was 1/32 Cherokee. If you’re wondering what the Senate’s thinking, the country’s best interests aren’t what they have in mind.(Heritage).April 29 marks the third year in which the U.S. Senate has not passed a budget — a staggering dereliction of duty, particularly given the country’s near-$16 trillion debt. But that’s not the Senate’s only blockbuster failure under the leadership of Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). From spending to jobs to energy policy, the Senate has totally dropped the ball, leaving one to wonder, “What’s the Senate thinking?”
But it’s not just a matter of a simple failure or benign neglect, like forgetting to take out the trash. The way some in the Senate are behaving is equivalent to buying a dog but then deliberately choosing not to feed it. These men and women sought elective office, won a seat in the Senate and now have the power to take action to confront America’s problems. But under the leadership of Majority Leader Reid, they’re making the choice not to do so.
When it comes to the Senate’s failure to pass a budget, the facts are bleak. From 2012 to 2022, federal spending per household is projected to rise to $34,602 — a 15 percent increase. Without entitlement reform, that spending is swelling to a crippling level, exceeding 40 percent of the economy by 2050. Despite all this, the Senate is sitting on its hands and not pursuing the significant reforms that are necessary — and opting not to pass a budget for three years is emblematic of their reckless inaction.
Last week, in fact, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-ND), whose primary responsibility is to marshal bipartisan support of a budget resolution, declined to take on the task, remarking that it would be too difficult in an election year. Last year was not an election year, and they didn’t bother to do it then, either.
Meanwhile, as America continues to wrestle with staggering unemployment and weak job creation, Senate Democrats yesterday blocked an effort to help workers, employers and the U.S. economy.Perhaps the ultimate example of what the Senate is all about emerged yesterday when Majority Leader Reid said he would not help in the House Republicans’ effort to force President Barack Obama to approve the Keystone XL pipeline, which could bring up to 830,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada to the United States (as well as jobs, economic growth and tax revenue). “Personally I think Keystone is a program that we’re not going — that I am not going to help in any way I can,” Reid said. “The president feels that way. I do, too.”
Under Reid’s leadership, that’s the name of the game in the U.S. Senate. Regardless of the country’s exploding debt, soaring energy prices or 12.7 million unemployed workers, Reid and his like-minded colleagues are flat out refusing to do the job they were hired to do, all in accord with the president’s agenda.
