Jordanian King Abdullah: Israelis, Palestinians to meet in Jordan.(YNet).Palestinian and Israeli representatives will meet in Jordan in two months to promote the peace process, King Abdullah II said during a UK visit which included a meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
The al-Hayat newspaper quoted Jordan's king as saying that the meeting will be held under the auspices of the European Union and the United States. He expressed his desire to see Washington focus on putting "the peace process on the right track." During the meeting, King Abdullah harshly criticized Egypt and Syria accusing them of forming a "radical new alliance."
He slammed Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi for marginalizing Jordan during the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas and accused him of causing grave damage to Jordan's economy "due to the repeated disruptions in the supply of gas."
The king was also quoted as saying that the Assad regime has the military capacity to last for another two years but that from a financial perspective it will not last more than four months. Read the full story here.
