Before leaving his duties for the presidency, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan is trying to guarantee his power by reassigning some ministers who are close to him to the cabinet.

As president-elect Tayyip Erdoğan gets ready to take over the presidency from Abdullah Gül, the question of who will be brought to the prime ministry after him is leading to chaos in the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). While Erdoğan and his associates endorse Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, some changes are expected to also take place in the council of ministers.

Pundits believe that Erdoğan will reassign ministers who are close to him before he leaves his duties for presidency. His chief advisor Yalçın Akdoğan and General Vice President Numan Kurtulmuş are among the candidates who are expected to be appointed to the council of ministers.

Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of Turkish Intelligence Organization (MİT), Hakan Fidan is believed to be set to replace Mr Davutoğlu in the Foreign Ministry as a part of the plan to gradually link MİT to the ministry.

Some anonymous associates of Erdoğan claim that he will make a couple of fundamental changes in ministries so as to sustain his control during his presidency as he did as a prime minister. Hmmmm....In fact, Israeli intelligence sources have no doubt that Turkish intelligence chief, Hakan Fidan, is basically an Iranian agent. They’ve described Fidan to CIA officials as “the MOIS (Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security) station chief in Ankara.”The WSJ also mentioned that Fidan was arming jihadist rebels in Syria.
