Turkish Presidential elections: only 20 Million out of 76, 5 Million Turks voted for Erdogan.

Turkish Presidential elections only 22 Million out of 76, 5 Million Turks voted for Erdogan. (MFS).

Turkey ended 2013 with a population of 76,484,000 people, which represents an increasea of 856,616 people compared to 2012.

The female population is greater, with 38,135,579 women, representing 49.86% of the total, compared to 36,797,062 or 48.11% men.

Age structure:
0-14 years: 25.9% (male 10,682,900/female 10,201,965)
15-24 years: 17% (male 6,979,955/female 6,703,689)
25-54 years: 42.7% (male 17,375,544/female 17,097,927)
55-64 years: 7.9% (male 3,189,731/female 3,169,450)
65 years and over: 6.6% (male 2,422,983/female 2,870,341) (2013 est.)

Hmmmm....So if Erdogan is elected by 52 % of the votes and we agree on 70% voter turnout, considering the 2012 voting age numbers lets say increased to 55 Million we would get:

70 % voter turnout  of 55 Million :  38,5 Million.
52 of the votes of 38,5 Million, roughly :  20 Million votes.

So That means Erdogan was elected President (For life) by 38 percent of the Turkish total population.

Update seems my calculation wasn't that far of : Less then 21 million voters voted for Erdogan
